The host was super nice once we arrived she was lively and sat us right away, unlike a place we tried to dine at a few shops down where they seemed snobbish, Rumari is not that, they welcome you like family. The entire staff was great and friendly I love a place that gives you free bread and thats what we got plus they also serve it with a side of some green sauce/dip it was refreshing and very flavorful garlicy and citrusy. We ordered: Appetizer: meatballs comes w/3 decent sized meatballs and a piece of small garlic bread Cesar salad which was totally different from a typical American cesar, it came grilled half a romaine and deconstructed with the ingredients of an authentic cesar dressing garnished on top including the anchovy and a nice big crouton on the side. Entree: veal piccata (this was alright lacked flavor but the pasta it came with was nice and al dente and simple) Greek lamp chops (fire full of flavor came with potatoes and spinach) Dessert: chocolate souffle (forgot to take a pic but this was hot and fresh and not too sweet they pour in ice cream in the middle and some whipped cream if im not mistaken to cool it off) I highly recommend

Staff is attentive, and helpful. Really top notch service. Try the pasta with seafood and white wine sauce. It's loaded with all the good stuff and you won't go home hungry. Surprise dish was the grilled Ceasar salad and warm olives with garlic and feta. I'll never eat olives any other way again. Great for a date, a small group of friends or a celebration.

Had come in as a patient had told me the Mille desserts were to absolutely die for and she had given me a bite that's left me day dreaming of more.. Most of the food was good: potatoes, the soup, the salad tasty, satisfying. Recommended. But the meat was not great. Flavor was okay, but the texture was just super tough, rubbery, and honestly pretty unpleasant to chew. That alone kind of ruined the whole dish. I would ask the chef to look into it. So yeah, would I come back? Maybe... but most likely I'll end up choosing something else next time I'm in the area. Three star review and one more just to support the small business.

WOW! I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while now and it was worth the wait. Valet parking…read moreat a reasonable rate. The building has three different sections with different names, themed for what one is looking for... for example... the live music area is called... Ivan'z House Live Music Club. There's a rooftop area that is also a different name, all are part of Mozambique. We went on a Friday and it was packed. We were sat in one of their private rooms that overlook the downstairs main area. The room was intimate and much quieter than the main dining room. The whole place has a great vibe to it. Walking in, you are greeted with a huge bird cage with exotic birds. The decor is really cool and the smells of the food make one instantly hungry to try everything. The service was prompt and the staff was very kind. Now... the food. Absolutely delicious. The menu has a variety of tempting items on it, however, I wanted to try the South African food and it did not disappoint. We had somosas as an appetizer and I had the South African pie. My husband had the steak and lobster. Everything tasted amazing. We ended with a delectable dessert and a cappuccino. Afterward, we went to the bar and saw the live band setting up. Also, a cool place with a nice stage. We will definitely be back and bring the family. Thank you Mozambique for a great night.

This restaurant has been bookmarked for me for years, and after seeing all the good reviews I had a certain level of expectation. We had a very different experience it seems, so not sure if we just went on a bad night or if we should try brunch instead of dinner, but I'm not inclined to give this place another try. I will try to keep to the top lines: 1) we were seated at 7 and didn't receive our food until 8:30. During this hour and a half, we were checked on by our server once for drinks, and once to place the order. Other than that, we were never spoken to or provided with updates on our food. We are generally pretty gracious and understanding if a restaurant is understaffed or experiencing delays for whatever reason, but no one let us know what was happening. For the price of the food, I would expect better hospitality - typically, restaurants of this caliber would explain the wait ahead of time or in the moment, and even provide free bread or something. Updates at the very least would have been appreciated. 2) while we waited 1.5 hours, staff came by at least three times asking if a dish was ours, then proceeding to ask multiple other tables the same question. It seems that the staff was all over the place. When we finally got our food, the server did not know who to give the food to, and kept trying to hand us the wrong dishes. This can be forgiven, but just added to the pattern of service being sloppy (for lack of a better term). To add to this, the host stand was also quite confused when we checked in and we witnessed a staff member tell their co host that they "should not be doing this job anymore" ..... 3) the food was okay, quite underwhelming. The biggest downfall was the steamed veggies that came with 2 of the 4 dishes. They were unseasoned veggies, the kind that come with hospital food or cheap hotel meals. Just plain steamed veggies. 1 star for the prawns and Chilean sea bass (the fish itself), 1 star for them trying

Food is good, service was okay, speed was disappointingly slow…read more I get that these places make their food to order so I expected a wait, but they have the word "express" in their business name so I had a false expectation. Needless to say I sat there waiting for my two to-go orders for what felt like an eternity. A lot of people flowed in after me and they were all just waiting, it was weird since it was empty when I walked in and then seeing 6 tables of people with no food. I thought I ordered the cheaper lunch special of chicken koobideh and beef koobideh, but he punched in the full portion instead. I didn't really mind as it just became extra food for dinner. But I feel like if someone is going in at the beginning of lunch time, they would be looking to order lunch menu stuff? I guess I can't expect people to do what I my logic would do. The two koobidehs is pretty much the same thing I order at any of these places because I prefer ground meat that's tender and juicy and this place did not disappoint. They were cooked to perfections with just a little crisp on the meats. Not much else to say since I only had a basic meal....meals

We ordered the combo beef and chicken plate, the beef gyro plate, and two falafel on the side. The falafel didn't look impressive, but they were surprisingly excellent--moist, flavorful, and honestly better than Sababa's. I'll definitely order six next time. The gyro plate was solid, not overly greasy or heavy, and the seasoning was just right. I wasn't a fan of the hummus, which had a bitter aftertaste, but my partner liked the tanginess, so that may come down to personal preference. On the combo plate, the chicken stood out: juicy and tender. The beef seemed to be a leaner cut and was a bit dry. I'd probably skip this particular beef kebab next time and try a different one. The saffron rice and grilled tomato were a nice complement. The plate also came with jumbo naan, served warm and smelling amazing, definitely a highlight.
