I've been here a handful of times. Yes, it's a tourist trap. It's right on Tourist Trap Lane... however, it's great for locals as well. It's rarely busy as it's MASSIVE and there are so many places to eat. They have a huge menu with everything you can imagine. We love their wings, burritos, queso fundito but are not such a fan of the burgers. In Mexico they use a lot of filler to make the meat go further (and I assume to add flavor, but it just tastes off). Service is always great. You do have to ask for your check in Mexico as well as anything you may need as they aren't a hovering over you in a restaurant type of culture. read more

I guess our first indication that things were not going to turn out well was the employees all getting together to have us order, then disappeared. Then when they did show up they told one of us that they needed to order something else because they didn't have the pulled pork. What?! So they ordered the chicken burger which wasn't really what they wanted but the rest of us had ordered already. After a LONG time with not many other diners I noticed right away that the 2 pieces of cheese on my BLT where not melted on the burger just cold on top. The bacon would not break with my teeth. Seriously. I pulled and it still wouldn't break. Worse than a dog chew! LOL. And tasted gross. I could only do one bite. The fries were cold and the chicken burger was so tough that she could not pull the meat off of it to take a bite. She said she has never had to send food back in her life but could NOT eat anymore. So BOTH of our plates of food had to go back after one bite. We did not want to order anything else so we had to go look for another place to eat for dinner. This restaurant was located at the best spot along the malecon (boardwalk). The location was upstairs, which improved the view. The dining area was nicely done, with plenty of TVs, and the service was attentive. We ordered only drinks. The price was reasonable, and there were no water-related repercussions later. Had lunch here after walking by the restaurant and over hearing an elderly couple that was just leaving the restaurant say "Best Fish & Chips" ever! So later...after our walk around being tourists we worked up an appetite, walked by again and thought...let's try it. We were not disappointed. The fish and chips were very good...lightly breaded and not greasy. The staff was wonderful. We had a wonderful view from our upstairs balcony table. The restaurant sports bar with an attitude! Check out the "Bull Shark" hanging near the bar. Mid-day we were the only patrons (I can well imagine this place is crazy busy during spring break). We also tried the calamari for an appetizer...and one in our group had the burger and fries. Great extensive menu and great prices. And...as the menu states...ask about our "2 for 1 Drink Specials"...We did and we all had 2 drinks each for the price of one. After the drinks, we left very full and very HAPPY. read more

We too were lured in as we were walking on the Malecon. But I insisted on a burger and the others in our group wanted something else. So we sat outside as it was nice outside. Service was awesome, drinks came in a reasonable time, and the food was served at a reasonable time as well. We can't help but think the food overall was OK, not the best we had. But it was not terrible. But it was a lunch. I don't think that we would go back here again if we were on vacation. Maybe we are just accustomed to the food back in our neck of the woods but nada.... Not again. Can't review the inside of the eatery but there appears to be pics here on Yelp that shows it. So 5 stars for the awesome service but 3 stars for the average quality food. read more

Very friendly servers. We came here for drinks not for dinner. The waiter walked us through their tequila menu and recommendations. He also explained how tequila shots are done Mexican style - tequila short then reddish drink (tomato juice?). I am not a tequila drinker and definitely don't like tequila, salt, lime combination. But I liked to have tequila Mexican style. The view from the second floor of this restaurant was great. It was nice to hang out there for some time. We ate here with friends because they claimed to be showing a UFC fight we wanted to see. Since burgers are in their name, we figured that would be a decent thing to get. I mean, how bad can you mess up a burger? Well, apparently that's easier to do than we realized. The burger came out and within the first bite my husband and I immediately had to spit it out and inspect the meat. I cannot even properly describe how terrible the meat was - it was grey, chewy, and with almost a fish like texture. Our friends each had a bite to confirm it was the meat and not just us, and both of them were also disgusted. I don't know what type of meat it was or how spoiled it was. When we told our waiter he told us that no one else ever complains and that they use only 100% black angus steak in their burgers. He showed us a raw patty and the patty was light pink and grey and looked like spam mixed with tofu - yet he was insistent it was good meat. We are from the states and eat burgers and steaks all the time, and both the cooked and raw meat was absolutely disgusting. We told him it was inedible (we took no more than the 1 bite each that we then spit out), but he refused to take it off our bill as he claims the meat was fine and it was all of us who were crazy. He also claimed that if he took the burger off our bill that It would be him who had to pay for it (ya right). The nerve of this guy it was insane. He ruined our appetite and night, but we ended up paying the $189 pesos for the inedible slop just to be able to leave. Our friends didn't care for their nasty drinks either, and the chicken wings someone else ordered were the smallest wings I've ever seen in my life. DO NOT EAT HERE! We will no doubt be sick in the morning from that bite of mystery meat and hopefully this review can save someone else. read more

Had the worst dinning experience in this restaurant. First of all, it took about an hour and a half for them to serve 4 burgers. The service is absolutely horrendous. One of the glass broke in a weird way on an attempt of lifting it. Drinks split all over and we told 3 different servers to clean the mess up but all of them ignored and walked away. In the end, we told the manager and one server cleaned it up after 10 minutes. They did not offer us another drink and when we questioned why it happened, they said that it happens because they just washed the glass in hot water that is why it broke and we will not be charged for it. When the check came, They charged us half the price of the drink because apparently they said that we will have to pay for the glass. We argued with the manager and finally he refunded us. I'm fairly generous when it come to tipping. Since the overall experience was horrible, we left no tip mainly because of the dishonesty of charging us for the broken glass. As we leave, The manager chased us down on the street and asked why we did not leave tips. He said it in a very rude tone and asked if we were dissatisfied with their service. After we explained how terrible our experience was, he sweared and shouted at us and left. This restaurant is horrible, drinks were diluted, food were disgusting. Just avoid eating or drinking in this place, "Paradise Burger" I personally hope you close down ASAP. read more

We came here to watch Sunday NFL football. All the games were on which was nice and 2 for 1 drink special! I got a bacon-bacon cheese burger... It wasn't great. The bacon wasn't salty like other bacon, almost flavorless. Drinks were yummy though and the service was friendly. We came for FOOTBALL and thats what we got, so win-win. read more

Weird. An aggressive greeter accosted us on the stairs upon arrival. We had come on a recommendation for the excellence of a Rock Band said to appear here. This person insisted on immediately seating us in the largely empty restaurant while being unresponsive to our requests for information. As we waited , the staff abruptly left us. Left alone by an indifferent staff which outnumbered their customers we found seats while one of our party sought to use the facilities. Finding the bathroom on his own he was pursued by the aggressive greeter/waitperson and rudely told he needed to buy a beer to gain access to the facilities. We had come to eat and enjoy the music but our friend not wanting beer was not welcome . Our friend not wishing to inconvenience us, left discretely . Encountering the arriving musicians the rest of us decided to stay and eventually cajoled drinks from the one young waiter who seemed amenable to serving us. Opting to stay and eat as the music indeed proved to be excellent, we ordered our meal, which was served luke warm and incomplete,and included a hamburger which was still raw inside. The waiter proceeded to explain that, in fact, properly cooked Mexican Beef remained red on the inside. Upon our insistence he returned the partially eaten burger to the kitchen and then brought it to the table once more. Concerned about the quality of this food , which had an off taste, we left it on the table. We enjoyed the music and upon our departure suggested to the young man collecting the bill that he could remove the charge for the bad burger. He reiterated that the meat should , indeed, be red and besides we were too late in bringing it to his attention. We who live in Vallarta and love our town are disappointed to find such a poor experience and pained to have to report it . After climbing the stairs to the 2nd Floor restaurant we were seated at the balcony. The view was wonderful. We were there for dinner before the live music and party crowd showed up. Our server was attentive but a little slow. The food was acceptable but nothing special - our group had burgers, fries, and fajitas. The price for each was reasonable. But the sodas were expensive at $30 pesos each w/ no refills. Dinner was OK but I'll look somewhere else next time. read more
