Really delicious and beautiful restaurant! This is my first time here and I would love to come back. My friends and I came between 10:45-11am and it was pretty packed (of course brunch time). If you can get seating outside, it's lovely! They have waterworks and that's a lot of points in my book. Just love waterworks! I got the eggs benedict with a side of bacon. WOW was it delicious. I have been past Paragary's so many times, and I was finally able to make it in this weekend. I was supposed to go with a friend, but she last minute had something come up, so I treated myself to dinner out. The restaurant is so cute. It is giving Parisian bistro, minus the snobby waiters. My waitress, Megan, was wonderful. She was so attentive and made the perfect recommendations. When I saw a spicy blood orange margarita on the menu, I set the menu down because I knew that's exactly what I was going to be drinking that night. That's a perfect drink in my opinion. I love a margarita. I love a spicy margarita even more. And to top it off, a super citrusy flavored margarita hits the trifecta. The presentation was lovely, and the flavors were even better. My only complaint with it is that I drank it too fast. I started with the Idaho smoked trout. I love a smoked trout, so when I saw smoked trout on the menu, I assumed it would be a smoked trout dip, which is the only way I've ever had smoked trout. Unfortunately, it was not a dip. Rather a plate. It was still good, but it was my least favorite dish of the evening. In addition to the trout, the plate came with Durst Farm asparagus, leeks, gribiche, and trout roe. The main reason I didn't love this dish was because it had a hard boiled eggs in it. This is 100% my fault because I didn't know what grit is in. Apparently it is a cold egg sauce, so I take responsibility for that one. Next up with the Caesar. This was a great Caesar. Super crispy lettuce. Good amount of cheese on it. The dressing actually tasted like anchovies, which was a very pleasant surprise and much different than the Caesars that I've had recently. I wish they had some fresh ground pepper to go with it, but I'm sure they probably had some if I would have asked. My waitress was so attentive that she noticed that my salad was slightly dry, so she brought me out a little extra dressing. So nice the croutons were yummy. It tasted like they had been crisped in butter, and we all know how much I love butter. to go with my dinner, I had a quilt Cabernet from Napa. I've never heard of this winery, but next time in Napa, I will be trying it out. It paired well with my pasta and my dessert. For my main, I wasn't expecting to order this, but based off the waitresses recommendation, I decided to go for it. I had the rosemary pappardelle with Mary's chicken, leeks, pancetta, artichokes, garlic, and parsley. The rosemary baked into the pasta was delicious. I rarely order chicken out at restaurants, but this one was cooked well, and I liked that they cooked a little pieces rather than one giant piece. I loved the artichokes in this. They actually tasted a little sweet, in like a caramelized way. Obviously, it isn't a dinner without a dessert. I had the brûlée Basque cheesecake with a roasted blueberry compote, poppy seed meringue, and wildflower honey. The cheesecake was phenomenal, and I loved the brûlée part of it. Sooo good. OK, I'm going to be honest here. When you come from LA, you have been exposed to the best of the best so you are a bit more critical. Not sad after spending a few days in Sacramento I would say that this was probably the best place they they had. The restaurant was very cute and it was a vibe, but the food was honestly pretty mid. It wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't anything mind blowing. And we went safe with pizza, pasta, and meatballs. The cocktails were really good though. And the service was good. A friend and I came here for dinner and we ordered the oven roasted meatballs, steak, margherita pizza, gulf shrimp and fettuccine, and wood oven roasted mussels. The pizza was good but needed some additional flavor. I also had the PARAGARY'S '83 which was tasty and perfect blend of gin and sparkling wine. Our service was great as our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The only issue with the entire dining experience was the flies. Flies flew around the table so much we were swatting every few minutes. The manager tried to put a cup of lavender and hot water on our table to keep them away but it didn't work. We complained about this several times but nothing could be done. I swatted a fly and my pizza box was hit then my cup of water fell on the floor breaking the glass. It was a lot! My husband and I came 5 years ago for one of our early dates (We had a server named Jackson we will never forget) it was such a memorable experience, we have consistently came back. We've celebrated our engagement, marriage anniversary, date nights and friend dinners. You name it. Last night, we came randomly for a dinner date and we talked about how the location is made to highlight PARAGARY'S! There's nothing else in this area that stands out like this restaurant. I am a Sacramento native and I have been coming to this place for many years now. The food is reliable, the service is good, and the ambience is beautiful. I would say over the course of 20 to 30 visits here, I would give it a solid floor and a half stars. Until today, when a manager came up to me and my family and reprimanded us for something very silly that she did not fully understand. She came up to us in a very disingenuous way, reprimanded us, and asked if we were "on the same page." It was very fake seeming and very offputting. It really threw off the vibe for me and my family. We will keep coming to this establishment because we understand this is just one bad visit for one reason, over the course of several wonderful visits in our life time. read more

I've always heard of Paragary's but never got around to going until now. I was hesitant because I dislike difficult street parking, especially on the weekend. Thankfully, I was able to snag a spot in the small free parking lot across the street. My friends ended up having to find street parking a little ways down, even early at 10:30 a.m. We had brunch reservations, which you can easily make online via OpenTable. My first impression was how cute and vibey the restaurant is, even more so in the back outdoor area. I loved all the greenery, waterfall fountains, and the fireplace. It's a very pretty spot for brunch, and the outdoor heating lamps make it cozy on a chilly morning. I also appreciated the bag hooks at every table. Service was excellent. Our server checked on us at all the right times, and we never felt rushed. Our drinks didn't all arrive at the same time, but at least our food did. I had a peach bellini and had no complaints. For food, I ordered my usual eggs benedict, which I like to get at any brunch spot. It was good and standard, tasting as expected. What would make me want to come back is to enjoy the outdoor seating again, though I am not sure I would go out of my way to return because of the parking and for average breakfast food, which didn't quite feel worth the price. Nice and filling. - breakfast potatoes: these are served with many of the dishes (including inside the breakfast burrito). Delightfully crispy in the outside while creamy on the inside. Yummy seasoned salt. - bacon: I had a strip of bacon and it's good! Yes, bacon is always good, but despite its ordinary appearance, it was light and crispy even though I thought it was going to be a lot more chewy. I saw some complaints on other reviews about the speed of service. I was with a large party and was chatting away so I wasn't in a rush. I don't recall the food taking an unusually long amount of time. And our waiter checked on us at least twice while we were eating. The interior is nice. It has kind of an old timey ambiance in a good way. it's classy and clean. I'll definitely return for brunch. And I'm now very interested in dinner. Their seating is both outside and inside with there being no barrier between them and for the *non-existent* outside roof. That causes flys to be everywhere landing in food, tableware, and your face. Once seated, we found that our table was about 80 percent exposed to direct sunlight. In Sacramento's summer heat, that made things really uncomfortable. Every other outdoor table had an umbrella, but unfortunately, ours did not, and the staff was unable to provide one. Four out of the six of us were visibly overheated, which took away from the overall dining experience. On a positive note, our server was attentive and did a great job walking us through the menu. Food took a little longer to come out, but that was understandable given how busy the restaurant was. When it finally arrived, the dishes tasted fine but didn't stand out. The seasonal sangria had a perfect fruity flavor and wasn't too strong. The meatballs came quickly and were delicious. Reservations were easy to make on OpenTable and the waitress even double checked allergens that were on my profile. Parking was pretty easy; Paragary's is in Midtown so sometimes you have to search for a spot, but today the weather was great and we parked on the street two blocks away. There are parking garages that are closer but we didn't mind the walk. The savory and sweet options were delicious, we had egg scramble with potatoes, huevos rancheros, orange cardamom French toast, and the lemon ricotta pancake. Loved their cappuccino as well. What was supposed to be a fun dining experience to celebrate a belated Mother's Day was ruined by a rude hostess. We were 15 mins late to our 6pm reservation and understood that we would now be treated as a walk in guest. The hostess was extremely rude and told us that they have a 15 min late policy and that we could get a drink at the bar while we wait for our table. She said it would be about a 15 min wait for a table to open up. The bar was already over crowded with several other people waiting for a table. I also overheard another group of women saying they missed their table and were waiting to be seated. There was really no place to wait or stand, it is clearly a fire hazard to have so many people blocking the enterance/exit. Even the bartender was struggling to get around everyone blocking the walk way. After about 10 mins, I asked my husband if they took down our name for the waitlist. When he went back to confirm, a different hostess said that it's now a 30 min wait and that we weren't added to the waitlist when we first walked in.... The first hostess was so quick to dismiss us for missing our reservation, she didn't even put our names down. We would have been happy to wait if she wasn't so rude and dismissive. We decided to leave after it kept getting more and more crowded and had a MUCH better dining experience at Zocalo. I checked out Paragary's for brunch. They are a longtime fixture in the midtown area. Friendly service and lots of great flavors on a very busy Saturday afternoon during Mother's Day weekend. Started off with a couple of spicy Bloody Marys. Shoutout moms! We dined at Paragary's for mother's day! The place itself is super cute, we got drinks at the bar before our table was ready. Once we finally got to our table, the time between ordering and getting our food was quite long. It seemed like we were there for a while. For the price, the food wasn't all that. It was good, but not $89 a person good. Especially considering the wait between courses. It was a little chilly outside and the food got cold fairly quick. :( It was a yummy dinner but we left a tad disappointed. The dessert was the best part for sure, all of it was BOMB. Sorry Paragary's. Maybe your regular menu will appeal to us more! read more

I've only ever been to Paragary's for brunch, and this was the first time I had gone during the winter when the patio was closed, and sat inside. While we love the patio dining, we also had a great experience inside. The food is delicious and brunch cocktails are tasty. Service was a bit slow but maybe they had some call outs the day we were there. read more

Came here in a Tuesday evening for dinner with my mentor. We made a reservation, and l would recommend you do the same because this restaurant gets packed. We started with the roasted mushroom soup, which was a special, and it was delicious. Warm and creamy! Then we got the hand cut rosemary pappardelle pasta and duck for entrees to share. Both were delicious but the pasta was my favorite dish of the night. Perfect texture and flavor. We ended the meal with a fig basque cheesecake, which was an amazing sweet treat to end the night! Highly recommend this restaurant if you're craving yummy French food. It's a nice restaurant with great mood lighting. read more

The atmosphere and aesthetics are amazing here. I really want to return and try more of their menu because everything we had smelled and looked exceptional. We ordered the Sangria, Paragary's Gin Martinis, Daily Soup which was Tomato, Ricotta and Lemon Ravioli, and Pork Ragu and Rigatoni. We had a pretty huge group so we were kind of squished so I don't recommend this place for any party bigger than 8 or just know you may be really crammed. read more
