This place is number "one" when it comes to Middle Eastern-Iranian food!!! Never, ever have I had meat so tender, soft and juicy, it literally melts in your mouth. The rice is totally amazing, basmati, soft, fluffy rice with saffron liquid drizzled on top. This blows away any other Middle Eastern restaurant around town, even the best ones in Paterson. Saturday afternoon early dinner. It's pouring raining and we are strolling through Ridgewood downtown business district for a cool door that accommodates outdoor seating with proper coverage with the heavy rain showers. Pardis has a few rabies abs most were filled. The manager or owner we presumed were so pleasant and attentive. The good wS authentic and fresh. Delightful and tasty. We brought our own wine from the local liquor shop. The eggplant paste was tasty with the naan, fried dumplings with chickpeas were unique in taste- tasty, light, with a citrus aroma to it. We enjoyed the angus cubes with the pickled cabbage and fluffy rice. Service was excellent around. We would definitely patronize again. read more

Really nice restaurant in a beautiful part of NJ. My wife and I drove an hour to visit Paradis and have dinner and thankfully called ahead. On a Friday night it was pretty packed. The place is a lil small but worth the trip. The kabobs were fresh and the service was good. Thumbs up! read more

So glad that I finally got to try this place! I've had it bookmarked since before it opened. I'm normally pretty skeptical of Mediterranean-type food because from my experience, most of them are pretty expensive for average quality food. Though some of the dishes at Pardis are certainly expensive, I have to admit that this is the first time that I felt a kebab was worth the money. We came here on a Saturday evening and I had made a reservation the day before for 6:30. It was already jam-packed before we walked in and even though the other two people in our party were running late, they were nice enough to seat us. We apparently got the coveted prime spot by the open window which was lovely because it was beautiful out that day (followed by torrential downpours within the hour but that's another story). At first, we were told that we couldn't order appetizers until the rest of the party got there because on busy nights they take orders all at once. Though annoying, I understood the reasoning for that. However, they seemed to have changed their minds about that policy after little bit (probably out of pity) and we decided to order Baba ghanoush while we waited. It was yummy and I liked the addition of fresh tomato and onion. For the main dish I had the chicken breast kebab with shirazi salad (tomato, onion, cucumber). Super juicy, flavorful chicken without any of the chewy, yucky parts. Not that it needs any more flavor, but I would recommend adding some of the dill sauce on top. For dessert, we tried the faloodeh and homemade saffron ice cream. The faloodeh tasted like a frozen version of Turkish delight in my opinion while the saffron ice cream was an more interesting spin on vanilla ice cream with the addition of some spices inside. read more

Went for dinner yesterday. There is a complimentary bread and dips that was served which is just ok. Falafel was really good with the dip. One order of falafel has 5 pieces. This is a must try. We had chicken koobideh wrap and sultani kebob. Both were good specially the kebobs were cooked well. An excellent eating experience. The aubergine starter and dumplings filled with chickpeas were delicious. We ordered beef koobideh chicken and lamb kebabs and substituted the regular rice with berry rice. The shrimp came with a green rice. Everything so fresh and delicious. The mint sauce great and the Staff so polite and attentive. We had to have baklava and falooda to finish. A busy evening however our service was just wonderful. In the heart of Ridgewood, NJ, is a Persian restaurant without rival. Pardus is excellent! Their felafel is amazing. Dips are delicious. And their kebab platters are fantastic! I had the Koobideh beef kebab which I would recommend highly. My wife had the Sultani kebab, which was even better (and I'll be getting that next time ). I love this place! The staff is super friendly and the service is top notch. Now that goes a long way but their food- lots of flavor and just the best. I will drive half an hour for their amazing food and service. We got the combination platter, every meat is tender and packed with flavor. This is a hidden gem in DT Ridgewood and a must try! I prefer the trout or bronzini and their rice is amazing plus the tahdig! They also give you some homemade kind of like pita bread but it's thinner and so good. If you like spicy then ask for their hot sauce - don't know what's in it but super good with everything! read more

Coming to the food,we ordered homemade bread and hummus and also had the sambuseh.Both the appetizers tasted good. For the mains we ordered chicken koobideh kebab,Lamb chops and a vegetarian kebab.All of them were good.The portions were good and the food was tasty.We substituted the normal basmati rice for green rice for additional $. Coming to the service,This is the most disappointing part .Sad that a restaurant with good food located in such good location has bad service.The waiters(an old middle aged man and a lady)were rushing us and took away the plates while we were still working on them at 9pm.They did not even ask us for once if we are done or not.They cleared the table in 5 min ad gave left overs in a bag and gave us the check.Not acceptable.We thought may be it is closing time.We were wrong ,it says 9.30 is the closing time on the door. Both to die for with their pita. The table has this cilantro/jalapeno sauce that when mixed with the hummus is heaven. My cousin got the lamb chops, I got the beef kebab. Wanted to eat here again because the food is so good. They open at 11am. We got there at 11am. Door was locked. The people inside saw us - we tried to open the door - obviously we wanted in. We were never acknowledged. We walked around town and came back at 11:30. Tried the door - still locked. Again the people inside watch us. (a woman and a tall guy) Again obviously the same 3 people would like to come in. We can't. While standing there we call. We watch the tall guy answer the phone and he's basically looking at us outside while we are on the phone with him. He tells us they will be open in 10 or 15 minutes. This is now 45 minutes later than when their opening time states. Sad but this sounds like the beginning of the end. read more

If you're contemplating whether or not to dine at Pardis, you 100% need to eat here. This is hands down the best restaurant I've ever been to. My family and I ate here while we were in Ridgewood and we cannot stop raving about how wonderful everything was. Let me preface this by saying I am not an adventurous eater, so I was a bit skeptical of eating here at first. However, I need not have worried. The food was amazing. We had their to-die-for homemade hummus as a starter, and I ordered the chicken sultani kabob with fries as my meal. I tried some of my mom's grilled vegetables, as well. Everything was amazing! I wish I had had enough room to order dessert but I was stuffed. Just another reason that I need to come back! I have never had more attentive, friendly, and kind service. I never had to ask for a refill of my drink. It was obvious that everyone worked together to make sure their patrons were happy. I really can't wait to come back here! Spacious interior and can accommodate large parties. The foods here are delicious! We ordered the Mediterranean salad for appetizer. For the main entree, we ordered the triple play kabob combo platter and an extra order of angus steak kabob platter. The kabobs were perfectly made, especially the angus beef kabobs they were made medium rare just the way we ordered. The rice was fluffy and soft with light flavor. The only improvements that could have given this review another star is less vinegar on the Mediterranean salad and the bread served was very flat in taste, tasted like whole wheat (but I did not confirm) not chewy and warm like other kabob venues we have been. The entree prices are very decent, not overly priced. Overall we were satisfied and all agreed it was a great kabob venue and that we would be returning. read more

More of a 3.5 than a 3. I came to Pardis on a whim on a blustery, cold day. For 2pm, the restaurant was understandably a little empty, but I was surprised to see trickles of customers entering even past lunch time. By the time I left around 3, there were at least 4 other new tables seated. We started off with some hot Persian tea, black tea served in a pretty glass cup. On the weekends, they use the dinner menu for lunch so we ordered an appetizer of Traditional Kash-Bademjan, mashed eggplant with garlic and onion. The texture is goopy, but paired with some of the cilantro green sauce and warm, crunchy complimentary bread, it made for a great palate teaser. For our meal, I got the Jujeh Sultani Kebab, a combination of Cornish hen and chicken koobideh. While both were extremely tender, well-cooked and moist, the Cornish hen was bland with almost no seasoning, whereas the chicken koobideh was overly salty with marinade. I used very large portions of the cilantro green sauce to help with the flavor of my meal, as well as taking a lot of rice from my mom's dish. I had opted to substitute my rice for shirazi salad (cucumbers and tomatoes), but I see now that my decision was a mistake. My mom ordered the Gheymeh-bademjan stew, and we were both pretty excited for this dish, seeing as how cold it was outside. However, the stew was surprisingly bland; there were so many factors missing that could have elevated this dish so perfectly. While I'm no expert in Persian food, for a culture that's well-known for its spices, I thought Pardis under-delivered. I reached out to Pardis Persian Grill to cater my father's memorial service. I had never been here before but my father was from Iran and I wanted to celebrate his life through his culture. Service - Everyone I spoke to at the restaurant was extremely friendly and helpful. I worked mainly with Kaveh who helped me determine the menu and quantity for the service. He went above and beyond for me and I could not be more grateful. When times are hard, this level of customer service goes a long way. Food - Best beef koobideh I have ever had! Extremely juicy and well seasoned. Everyone at the service was raving about it and it was the first thing to disappear. Everything was presented beautifully - from the Shiraz salad to the chicken kebabs, I was blown away. The traditional kash-bademjan was very flavorful and smooth. I had many helpings of it! We ordered baba ganoush, cherry rice (albaloo polo), dolmehs, and the Pardis Special. Everything was amazing. I've been eating dolmehs and baba ganoush since I was a little kid, and this restaurant has some of the best I've ever had. I've never had albaloo polo outside of this restaurant so I can't compare it to anything, but it's amazing. Lastly, the Pardis Special was also great. They were quick to make out food and were on time when I went to pick it up. The only reason this place isn't a 5 is because it's a bit expensive. I strongly recommend this restaurant. read more

They use cornish game hen for chicken kabib (juju kabob), tender tender tender barg (steak slices) and shepards salad was fresh, crunchy with perfect flavors. If you know Persian food - tadig, ghormeh sabzi, khorestch bademjun!!!), I you dont know it...its kabobs, fish and amazing vegetable dishes better than most middle eastern. Mmmm. Based on the reviews we decided to give it a try to this place for lunch. Well we didn't get the 5 star experience at all. It was a 2.5 at the most. First of all the kitchen should tune down the music it doesn't match to the theme of the restaurant. Non of the meals that we ordered hit the spot. We eat a lot of Turkish and Mediterranean food but this wasn't good. Portions are way too big for lunch. I like to eat less but good quality food. At the end end if you pay ~$60+tip for two for lunch without drinks!? Way overpriced. Even the baklava was too dense or not fresh. A very good friend invited us to try for the first time Persian food. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Kevin who took the time to explain all the food so we could try something authentic. He explained that everything is made fresh there. Bruce was our waiter and the place is very COVID friendly with plenty of space between customers.
