The crème brûlée latte at Parfait Paris was the perfect pair with the amazing view of San Diego on Coronado Island. This latte was on the sweeter side, but that was to be expected. The temperature was served at the right temperature and the staff were very friendly. Plenty of seating located outside and this location is perfect for your coffee to go and enjoy all the beautiful views of San Diego while you take a walk.

A little hidden pastry gem with very nice service next to some of the best views of the city. The "Mango Bliss" pastry was surprisingly very delicious and nicely layered. The hard caramelized top like a crème brûlée was a nice touch too. A lot of hype around these type of pastries and this one delivered. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town.

Located on 1st Street in Coronado Island, Parfait Paris is an award winning French Bakery specializing in handcrafted desserts, macarons, and pastries - all made from scratch. We came to this bakery during our trip to Coronado Island. This is a small but nicely decorated shop with limited seating. We ordered Crème Brûlée and Crepe Nutella. The service was quick, and our food arrived almost immediately. However, the food tasted fairly average and it was overpriced. Our overall experience was average, and we have no plan to return.

I was so excited to find out there was a Parfait Paris in Coronado and went to have a mini celebration because a friend found a job and even she is in the Bay area I wanted to have a coffee and nice pastry on her good luck. I ordered a never nice looking one but then it was so old and hard that not even a touch of microwave improved it. It could have nice flavor but it was like a rock. An expensive one. Capuccino was great as well as the service by a lovely girl. The tables and chairs make it look like a Parisian bistro but somehow the shade outside didn't make it appealing for the public and no one was sitting outside. In the inside they have some tall chairs to sit inside but it is smaller.

Cute little cafe by the Coronado ferry area. Great selection of baked goods and hot food. Their chipotle chicken galette was a hit, savory crepe with perfect amount of chicken and greens and light and airy crepe. Their alsacien croissant was also delicious. Their Sicilian latte (pistachio) was soooo good, I tried it hot. The staff, Lou and Lili, were very kind, fast and helpful! Will be back to try more of their other treats!

I was about to say that no tart should cost $13 but then I started eating it and tasted an explosion of flavor. Halfway in, I realized this is a larger task than I originally thought and while I still think the price is absurd, I realize I'm also not accustomed to SD prices and will instead just give this place the 5 stars it deserves and leave it be. The staff are all super friendly and I was especially touched by how respectful they were towards customers that spoke languages other than English. There is limited bar seating inside and free water, but there are lots of outdoor tables and when I went, I heard live music near the water. Cute spot to drop by if you're in the area!

This is a cute little spot for a sweet treat. I absolutely loved the coziest vibe you get when walking through the door. I'm so happy I stopped in. The amount of choices, the little bar against the wall made me want to stay and sip my coffee but the fact there are more fans as well made it impossible. I got to try their iced brown sugar shaken expresso and it was delicious! I would have loved more sugar and more cream but it was soooo good. I also bought some sweets. I wish I had known or I would have gotten one of their sandwiches. But it was awesome. The service was meh. It wasn't my fave but I'd be like that too with so many people coming in and out.

What a cute Patisserie in the ferry building. Behind the counter was a lovely young lady who answered all my questions along with suggesting her favorites when I couldn't decide. Beautifully presented sweet ready. I went with her suggest of the Yuzu & Lemon tart. I also had to try the macarons since there was room in the pastry box: salted caramel, earl grey, chocolate noir, honey lavender, pistachio and lemon (listed in order of favorite to least). The texture and flavors of the tart were like explosions of deliciousness in my mouth. We got these to enjoy at the beach. They were a treat for the eyes first!

Goodness, the two girls working today seemed like they hated their job because it showed. It was not even 10:30am and they were so blah. Called out drinks with no name on them, no number, nothing. Guess they expected for people to just stay crammed in their shop waiting for their drinks/food to be made even if it takes 10+ mins. People who came back in had no idea where their drink was or WHAT their drink was. When my husband went back to pick up the lattes within 5 mins of ordering, he asked if those were the lattes, they simply said yes but didn't identify which was which so we took educated guesses since the workers appeared like they didn't want to be bothered. Not that we have any allergies but there are people that do so. Highly recommend there be a better system put in place. Anyhow, after spending an easy $74, the iced lattes were mediocre (got a chocolate Dubai and a creme brulee)... Be aware of the $1 up charge for anything that's not whole milk. We also ordered 2 turkey clubs an a savory crepe. After ordering, they said they didn't have avocados (which makes all the difference). So we opted for one to get refunded and one to add more turkey since that was an option. The club was okay, although the chipotle chicken galette was tasty. Wouldn't come back to this particular location. We're from SD but it sucks to know that tourists would possibly get this type of customer service (or lack there of) when they visit a pronounced enough place.

The young lady who was helping us today was incredibly sweet and provided fabulous service compared to what we got at Village Pizzeria just half an hour earlier. It was Mothers Day weekend, around 3pm, Stood in a very long line to get to the front and find out almost every ice cream flavor was already out and of the listed selection, it came down to a macaroon mixed one, the Ube one-which doesn't taste like Ube-, and I think vanilla, which I would've never stood in line for. I ended up paying almost $20 for the crêpe with the bananas which ended up tasting like whatever you spray/put on the hot surface, like a mouthful of Pam. Super disappointing experience for time and money spent read more

I hate to say it... but the teenage girl at the register was RACIST. I came here with my mother after dinner to get a sweet treat before going back to our hotel. She was very friendly and provided great service to the woman in front of us, so we expected the same. However, when it was our turn to order, we didn't receive the same friendly demeanor. It also took her a while to start preparing the items we ordered. I didn't think much of it until another family came behind us in line. However, she was immediately warm and friendly to them and began processing their order immediately. Even though we patiently waited in line longer than them. If it weren't for the kind gentleman working with her telling her so and starting to check us out, we probably would've walked out and taken our business elsewhere. The common denominator between the worker and the other people in line? They were all WHITE. I can't believe I have to write a review detailing how I was racially discriminated against in 2024. This is not how you should do business, especially in a state like California and a place that receives many international tourists, such as Coronado. This place has cute vibes and good food, but it all means nothing if POC can't receive equal treatment here. read more

While the display of pastries was, indeed, very attractive, my almond croissant fell short of what I was expecting (which was a nice rise; the delicate crunch of the crust surrounding visible light layers; and a flavorful almond filling). Based on the pastries we tasted, 3 stars. The Americano was good. As for the customer service by Sophia, a definite 5 stars: friendly, welcoming, positive, knowledgeable, and helpful! read more

My wife and I visited Parfait Paris in Coronado on Sept. 1st around 7:30PM and unfortunately had a very negative experience. As soon as we entered, the young blonde employee with curly hair and a septum piercing just stared at my wife without acknowledging either of us. I even said "hello" enthusiastically, hoping for a simple greeting, and still received nothing in return. Only the young male employee in the back greeted us. The lack of acknowledgment and the unwelcoming attitude made us feel as though we were not wanted there. I want to give the benefit of the doubt that maybe this employee simply has poor customer service skills, but after reading other recent 1-star reviews, I strongly feel we may have been racially profiled. My wife and I are Mexican and Puerto Rican American, and the vibes were unmistakably hostile. This type of treatment is unacceptable in any establishment, especially one that serves the public. Unless management takes action to address this behavior, we will not be returning. read more

Found this gem by accident. Thought it was a dessert spot but they have food as well!!! We got the avocado toast flight, croissants, Nutella crepe and macaroons! Everything was great! My favorite were the macaroons! Don't have any macaroon pictures as they were all gone lol. If you love Nutella like a lot I'd def recommend the Nutella crepe! Everything was fresh and yummy! I got the Dubai here, really good, sweet but not too sweet. The worker behind the counter seemed a little rushed but it's the end of the day with a stream of people coming in, and she's by herself. Totally understandable. Great bread and coffee for a cold night, cold in San Diego terms of measurement. Really good to grab a treat and go for a quick walk around the place. read more

Tiffany and Jessica were very nice this Saturday morning. They took our orders quickly and made a wonderful Americano for us. My husband and I are on our babymoon and we got a large size Americano coffee. We loved the Pain au Chocolat. Very good and tasted like it was baked fresh. Parfait the Course San Diego-based chain that was founded in 2014 by Paris natives Guillaume and Ludivine Ryonthat, that now sports five locations throughout the area, with this Coronado location being their latest and greatest. They've been awarded "Best Desserts" by San Diego Magazine for seven out of the last nine years, and claim to be the "only authentic French Bakery and Parisian Café in San Diego" as their Paris-trained chefs turn out some fabulous-looking desserts, with their specialty being the infamous Macaron cookie. The Good: *Great location at the Coronado Ferry Landing shops *Service was friendly enough but not overly-so *Prices are fairly reasonable for the quality *Yuzu Lemon Tart was dessert perfection; it had a great sharpness and punch from the lemon and yuzu, rich shortbread crust and wasn't overly sweet. We could definitely eat a box of these The Meh: *With the exception of the pastry case, the interior décor was a bit spartan and consisted of white walls and the din humming of refrigerator compressors. *Banana Toffee wasn't terrible, but I would've liked some more banana flavor, and the texture was too samey throughout. Maybe some toasted pecans or walnuts would've helped give it a little crunch it desperately needed. The Ugly: *No place to eat indoors, and the outdoor dining is first-come-first-served, as one has to compete with the myriad of other restaurants and eateries in the locale. We ended up finding a random sea wall to sit and eat our goodies. TLDR: A bit hit-or-miss on the desserts, but with lots to choose from, we'll def be back next time we're in town. read more

This spot has some of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! I was here a few times during my recent stay on Coronado, and I have to say, this place contends with some of the best bagel spots in NYC for a banging breakfast sandwich. I tried their Canadian bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and their Soy Chorizo crosswind sandwich, and both were amazing. Runny eggs that held together just enough to make the sandwich delicious, not dry, not greasy. I also had a cappuccino with Oat milk which was divine. Somewhere beyond the sea there's a cute little pastry shop. We were in Coronado and we decided to head to the pier and check out all the shops in the area. My husband and I are dessert lovers and we were in the mood for something sweet. We literally had walked around and decided to try Parfait Paris. They had so many pastries but the people ahead of us that day took a good amount of them home. I originally wanted to try a different kind but the family I mentioned took the last one. As soon as you walk in they're very welcoming, it smells delicious in there and they have many other things. That's day I ended up trying the créeme brûlée and my HONEY got the Strawberry Tart. I also got the Matcha Latte and my Hubby got the Americano . It was the perfect way to spend our afternoon. We had a beautiful scenery and had a great day. We live in Los Angeles therefore I will have to make the drive again. I believe there is a location in Anaheim but I will need to see if that's accurate. If you're even in Coronado, CA and in the mood for something good and sweet. Make sure to stop by and show some love and support. read more

They have Bread NOW!!! Baguettes, Sourdough ! Multigrain! For 3,50$ Baguette was really good!!! Way better than any grocery store. Decent crisp and chewy bubbly texture!!! Will be great with olive oil after reheating in the oven! Got Sourdough ( $10 ) as well! looking forward to try it read more

This place was, other worldly. Luckily it was walking distance from our hotel so we walked here two mornings in a row and yes I got the same thing both times! Le San Daniele croissant is one of the best things I've ever had! It is a perfect blend of sweet and salty and butter bread. The have an abundance of sweet treats we tried but over all the breakfast croissants were the stars! I can't wait to come back read more

My order was ready as promised but when I got home (Chula Vista) I discovered that I didn't get the bananas. Annoying to be charged for something I didn't get and it was too far to return. One star for service, 3 for the food, overall 2 stars. I can't recommend it and won't return.

The desserts were around $11 each, and they didn't even taste fresh. The bread pudding was so hard we could barely get our fork through it. The only redeeming thing about this place is the location. Otherwise, the tables and floors looked unclean, which made the whole experience even more off-putting. This restaurant really needs to revisit its menu and overall upkeep because, as it stands, it's not a place we'd return to.

The other couple ordered the skirt steak and the braised short ribs which they seemed to enjoy. My drink was amazing - the Amalfi Spritz. For dessert, we tried the butter cake...again, a bit underwhelming and not really good on flavor...I did taste the toffee and caramel, but the cake itself had no taste. Overall, I would go back because of the service, the drinks, and the ambiance.

Service was ok, it took forever for the server to just come up to greet us, to the point the hostess went and got waters for us. Again not the normal for this establishment, but still very blah and disappointing. For how expensive things are I would not eat here again. Normally we would visit numerous times in during or time here.

Paired up well with my Orange Avenue Beer. This location offers indoor seating as well as some outdoor seating. A bar with TV displays that include fans watching the Padres play on the screen. We stopped by this lovely French bakery in Coronado and were absolutely blown away. The macaroons were incredible--especially the espresso and caramel--and the croissant and pan de chocolate were perfectly flaky and delicious. One of the best surprises was discovering they use French flour, which meant even our gluten-free family could enjoy some treats without worry. Such a rare and special find!
