Before I continue with the main point of this review, I want to say that I appreciate the effort and patience the staff from today had with the situation. They were absolutely the best people to have during a time like this. Two guys (José and Ricky) who worked register, tried their best to accommodate to help me and this review does not pertain to them or their ability to problem solve. They gave me 20% off my purchase and even attempted to write the message themselves. They and I all knew there wasn't anything we could've done since those who were trained for pastry decoration had already left. Yet I want to make it clear that this happened as such: I came in yesterday to place an order for a cake for my dad's birthday, which had a custom message in Vietnamese. I made sure before I left that it was okay to have it in another language, and they told me it is. Today I came in, due to the ticket being taped in an incorrect order, the message was not included. I can't begin to explain how tremendously disappointed I am that a mistake had occurred. Though I am wholly grateful the staff from today had tried their best, the over-encompassing issue here is that it was meant to be a special gift--but it was ruined due to an /avoidable/ mistake made by one of the members of Paris Baguette's staff if they had been more wary of their task. In addition to the missing message: they made the wrong cake. I was skeptical having just come back from Paris a month ago, that the macaroons were going to just taste like American manufactured cookies. I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased 3 macaroons for $3.95 and they were each delicious. My favorite was a cocoa chocolate cookie with coconut flakes on top. Very tasty. I did not try any of the other cakes as I am on a diet and I regret that now after reading all of the reviews. The cakes and pastries looked amazing. The pricing was reasonable as well. I was exploring around Boston when I found this little treasure. It grabbed my attention from the outside and when I walked in I fell in love with the beautiful pastries and food. The staff are also very kind and the atmosphere is relaxing. Next time I visited, I bought a cake for my SO for his birthday and let me say, it was fluffy and delicious. Yes, it's on the pricey side but I personally thought it was worth it, mostly because I hadn't seen such a lovely little cake anywhere else. Cake was mediocre. There was a slight plasticky taste to the strawberry cream cake. Better than buttercream frosting from your typical grocery store cake, but not the divine creation from the French patisserie I was expecting. Ordered a latte to go for the walk home. I love their fluffy cheesecake so much! I got the bigger one with the fruit on it for my boyfriend's 21st birthday and now it's his favorite cake. We often get the small cheesecake (single serving for 2 people) for a treat when we have sweet tooth. I love the food, but I hate the service. Here is why. I love the food: This is probably the only asian bakery near central square. So basically I have no choice but to go there if I want this type of Asian bakery. Their cake is beautiful and yummy. High quality material, well made, very artistic as well. However, when I lived in Southern california, this will be a good place, but not the best for sure. I hate the service: I get so frustrated with how "stingy" they are for little things. Like I get really really frustrated, there are couple of examples. 1. I order the cake, big one, 36 bucks. Then I ask them, do you have plates and folks, was told "NO". I dont understand why they expect people to buy a cake without being able to put them on small plates and share them. I was extremely disappointed that day. 2. I bought like 10 bakery items, and aksed them if I can carry them in a paper bag, was told "NO". The reason is "the paper bag is for cake buyers". This happened before the law for charging plastic bags. 3. I again, at a different occasion, bought 5 bakery items, and ask them if I can get a paper box for it since I want to bring it to office and share, and want the bread to be presentable. was told I need to buy 6 of them. Fine, I get another one, and get a paper box. Two days later, I went again, get 6 bakery items. This time, different ones, but mostly red beam bread. Aksed for the paper box, was told "NO". Here is the reason, "the box is for those bread without individual wrap, the red bean is already wrapped, so does not count". I was like a little furious. This is just crazy. 4. After the law for charging for plastic bad, I went there to get some breads. I thought I will just pay for the plastic bag, and was told they are "25 cents each". I cannt believe it, yes, you cake is made from good material, you sell it expensive, why on earth you think you should sell plastic bag expensive!!! ok, then, I asked them, can I get a paper bag, small one, of course as I expected, was told "NO", "they are for cake buyers". What I dont understand is that, this is such a stupid policy, I brought so much bread that each time they are well above the price for the rolled cake, and they still refuse this and that. If I have a choice I swear I will not buy from here, but I dont. So as mad as I am, I still have to go there for my asian bakery. read more

Came here and got an iced coffee and a cronut. The line was annoying, but not terrible. The coffee tasted like burnt beans in water and the cronut was extremely greasy and filled with an overly-sweet cream filling. I loved going to the Paris Baguettes in Korea and in NYC and I was really excited about the new location in Cambridge, but was extremely disappointed. Good ol' Paris Baguette. It's nice to have a familiar chain to rely on when you come to some place new. This one is like any other, and like many of their franchises, it is connected to an HMart supermarket. If you come early (like 8AM), not all the baked goods will be out, however, what is out is certainly fresh. You can still order the full menu of drinks, and seating is plenty. The lighting is good, and the tables have generous space, so you can work with your pastry, however, if you can't work under k-pop conditions, know that at least the music is low, so it shouldn't be too much of a distraction. read more

I always visit Paris Baguette and H-Mart whenever I'm on the Red Line. However, I plan to avoid the place for a while after today. I ordered a bunch of pastries and an iced green tea. When I received my drink there was a dead BUG in it!!! I immediately told the girl who made my drink. She said, "Huh?" Didn't even offer an apology, but that's not even the worst part. The girl then proceeded to scoop the bug out, and pour the remaining drink into a new cup. All while I was watching. Then she had the audacity to hand me the cup. Are you serious? cakes! ordered 2 birthday cakes from Paris Baguette and both were on point. first - logistics. you can order cakes online, but they require a 48 hour lead time, so plan ahead! if you fall within the 24-48 hour window, you'll need to go in person to their store, credit card in hand, to order cakes the cakes are the Asian variety - lighter and less sweet on the frosting, and filled with fruits. We ordered a blueberry green tea one and a strawberry cream one and both were ah-mazing and plenty of food for the $$ (think it was around $35 and served 10-12). In an unusual spot inside an Asian market, this bakery is a gem in Cambridge. Greeted by pristine rows of French and Asian pastries, the only disappointment was not having enough room to eat every pastry we wanted to try. You can pick up one of their wooden trays, serve yourself all the pastries you'd like, and walk up to the register where you can order coffee and other drinks. As an added bonus, the bakery is only steps away from the subway entrance! Great breakfast experience, would definitely recommend. read more

Perhaps a bit out of place in Central Square, this super clean, fancy bakery makes the best chocolate strawberry creme cake I have ever eaten. The chocolate cake itself is moist and fluffy. In between the layers is a very light cream frosting that isn't too sweet, along with sliced fresh strawberries. The cake can be personalized by having a simple elongated cookie adorned with chocolate lettering. When you purchase a full cake, they offer a plastic cake knife, matches and candles in a convenient bag. read more

I don't like sweets, but this place had me excited with their selection. Prices aren't up there, so I definitely recommend grabbing something here. This place is pretty standard. There are plenty of Paris Baguettes in San Diego, so i'm familiar with their selection. Some pastries are better than others. Don't understand the long lines, I wasn't really impressed. I had their version of the cronut which was ok but I think they overdid it with the filling. It has too much filling and made parts of the cronut soggy. Along the same lines I took a swirled chocolate croissant home for the next morning. The croissant already came wrapped in a sealed plastic bag. Not surprisingly the croissant was soft the next day. Maybe I'll give them another try but they won't be my first bakery stop in the area. read more

Paris Baguette brings back memories of home. As a Bay Area transplant, I've been dreaming about Asian breads and pastries and Paris Baguette made those dreams reality. They offer a wide selection of goods such as cronuts and green tea bread. A personal favorite of mine is the mocha cake, which is fluffy but substantial at the same time. Their cheesecake was also lighter than I expected while still maintaining that cheesecake flavor. I actually prefer this type of cheesecake to the original version because it's not as heavy. This is a Tokyo style bakery, I saw several of very similar places in Japan in April-May 2016. I loved them there, and after we visited the first one, I was looking for one daily. I was very pleased to find one accidentally inside the H-Mart in Cambridge. Usually they have enough tables to sit. It is bright, warm, and cosy. Fit to take a bit with your friend and relax before rushing back to your busy or not so busy lives. They serve a variety of very comforting short fancy dough with various fillings. The result is delicious light-textured yellow slighly puffy dough. You got to pace yourself or you can gulp it in 2 sec. Ask a salesgirl to warm it up for you! For me, it tastes better this way. See what your taste budds will tell you. It is not easy to find parking spot in front of the bakery, on Mass Ave. Go around the corner and park behind the store. read more

Loved this place ! I had a delightful creme filled pastry so light and flaky as well as a mini blueberry creme pastry. (Missed the cronuts !
