This is easily one of my favorite places to come for a cup of coffee and a dessert. It is located in the Cerritos shopping mall and it's a perfect place to just sit down for a little bit after spending a few hours at the mall. But mostly I like to come here to meet friends and spend some quality time catching up over a latte. Although I have yet to find a place that brews a better cup of coffee than I do myself, the coffee at Paris baguette is not bad at all. Complement it with one of their many, many delectable desserts and you cannot go wrong. I have tried many of their different dessert options and all of them have been extremely tasty and high-quality. They have recently upgraded some of their interior decor but not all. And some of their older chairs and tables definitely look a little bit worn out. the bakery was listed to close at 9pm on sunday.. i came by before 5pm and there was hardly anything available besides cakes.. not sure if it's because everyone already bought all the goods in the morning or they just don't bake on sunday.. but there was hardly any selection to go by. came by here based on yelp reviews. the few items i did get.. weren't too bad. it's like chinese style of getting the breads (you pick up a platter and some tongs to grab unwrapped bread).. but korean style breads. the pumpkin balls were actually pretty good. it was like a korean chap-sal (sticky rice) doughnut but with korean squash (hobak~ sweet style) inside. pretty tasty. there were a few other breads but nothing too appealing. almost every container was empty. totally disappointed by it i'm going to give it 2.5 stars for now.. but i'm sure when i return on a day they actually have bread.. it would be an easy 4 star joint. the two high school guys at the register seemed uninterested in their job.. disappointed that there was nothing fresh to buy.. only things available were prepackaged items and cakes that have been in the display.. willing to come back next time. read more

When you first walk inside the store, you can smell the freshness of all the pastries. The store was very clean and cute, while we were looking at the cakes on the display a rep. came by & asked if we needed any help. He then explained all the cupcake flavors to us. Workers there were pretty much friendly. i got a Strawberry Pudding, it was one of the most delicious and refreshing pudding ever! it came with this cute little jar! totally recommended. STRAWBERRY PUDDING is a MUST GET! $2.75 My boss got the Red Velvet Cupcake with Orange frosting. I'm not too much of a red velvet fan (i got a taste of the frosting) it tasted almost like sugar & color .. that was not too great, but according to her as a red velvet lover, the cupcake was pretty moist, but it does need some more flavor to it. When it comes to birthday cake, this is my first choice. It's always the Blueberry Chiffon cake. The cream is light and not too sweet. The cake is moist and delish. As mentioned, you get the cake kit when you buy one (candles, cutter, matches inside the cutter handle). Another thing that I always have to pick up when I'm there is the Apple pie. So buttery. So flaky. So damn good. Bonus points for them looking exactly like the Apple Pies in Final Fantasy Online. As some have already mentioned, get there early, the popular goodies tend to sell out before the evening. I could recommend most of their pastries. Their sandwiches and other items are decent, but not fantastic. Iced coffee is OK. The main reason for not giving this place 5 stars is price. Some people might consider it a bit pricey (~$35 for that Blueberry Chiffon cake) and the sheer amount of butter they use. Insider info (I know someone who works there) says they use a disgusting amount of butter, but that probably explains why their pastries taste amazing. I've been to three of their locations in Los Cerritos Mall, Buena Park but this one is my favorite. I've been coming here since they opened. Each location has slight variations that I can't find at other locations. They're located in a half dead plaza in a suburban neighborhood so it's frequented by locals. It's best to come in early in the morning or before the lunch crowd otherwise your favorites will be sold out as they don't bake throughout the day. Their croissants are comparable to the ones I've had in Paris (hence the name Paris Baguette) and the decor reminds me of Paris also. I always come in for their BBQ chicken bite sized puffs, almond banana croissants, and their breakfast sandwich (layered with ham, egg, lettuce, bacon, tomato, cucumber) I can't find these items at their other two locations. I haven't tried their baguettes. I've also tried their cupcakes but the dark chocolate with sprinkles is my favorite - almost comparable to Sprinkles but the cake is more moist and the frosting is sweeter. The cakes are cutely decorated but the taste is just okay there is more whipped topping than cake. They also sell French macaroons but it is expensive and the taste is average, not the best. This place is a fantastic Par-asian (French/Asian fusion) bakery. They've recently renovated, and the store is very clean and pretty. Make sure you go to the one on Carmenita/Artesia instead of the one in the mall, because the service is so much better. It's also quieter and more cafe-esque. The sandwiches here are the bomb. I've had sandwiches at other Paris Baguettes, but this location's sandwiches are way better. Cons - It could have been cleaner, at around 6 pm with four more open hours I would expect it to have been swept with the tables wiped, but in their defense they seemed pretty busy and the mess wasn't awful. The display where you choose your items can be a bit awkward to maneuver around when other people are also trying to grab things. I had myself, my husband and our two young boys and I just couldn't seem to keep us all out of the way and ended up having a small collision with another woman. Lastly we ordered two glasses of milk with our other items and they were forgotten. However, we all forgot them until we had left as well. Pros - The selection was awesome. It was almost a little pleasantly overwhelming, but I settled on what I believe was a Passion Fruit Brioche. It was wonderful. Really, I couldn't fault a thing about it. It had even been sitting in a display but it tasted so fresh. My children chose a chocolate croissant and strawberry cream croissant respectively. They were both enjoyed thoroughly. My husband ordered a chocolate covered cronut and liked it. I also got an almond tea, it was good, but nothing I'd go out of my way to have again. The staff was friendly. One of the Best Bakeries you can find in a LA mall...hands down. Bread softer than Charmin's toilet tissue ( yes, it is) but don't wipe your butt with it. Walk in and grab a tray & tongs because it's nearly impossible to look through all of the displays of pastries, breads, desserts and sandwiches and not get anything. Today, I picked up the California roll sandwich. Everything on a California Roll ( crab salad with the orange caviar, cucumber,avocado) but on a buttery flaky croissant slathered with honey mustard and a lettuce leaf. This combination is light yet filling at the same time. A word of warning: When ordering hot tea, ask them to not make it too hot because otherwise, it will come out like molten lava and burn your tongue to a crisp. you'll end up talking funny and no one can understand you. I've been here 5+ times. I love getting their donut. It is dipped in chocolate, filled with cream in the center, and has strawberries on top. Great price for that one and good flavor. They always seem to run out of it though. Be sure to ask if they still have some inside the kitchen. Their 4-pack cream puffs is good. I recently tried the potato and cheese pastry (about $1.50). It's not more than 2 bites. Not bad but way too pricey for such a little piece. I also got to try their tuna melt ($7.95). It comes with house coffee or tea. It was way too oily/greasy. The tuna mixture has onions, almonds, walnuts, cranberries, tomatoes, and possibly some more chopped up veggies. I don't think the combination went well together. Yum Yum Yum. Very nice surprise in the middle of Cerritos. My friend took me here this morning. I tried a pastry bar that had strawberries, whipped creme and custard.... sooo good and inexpensive $1.60. My friend let me try her savory pastry, it was shaped like a little bowl with corn kernels and a layer of ham on the bottom which was also very tasty. I purchased a few more treats to take home. Paris Baguette has the best customer service EVER! I came here on lunar new year. I wanted to buy the infamous cream puffs for a Chinese New Year dinner I was going to. I got here really late, so they ran out. Sad. I told the young staff that I was really looking forward to buying the cream puffs. She then told me, have no fear, she can make some on the spot for me! Wow! She then went into the kitchen and made some for me and also gave me extras! While I waited for her to make the cream puffs, I browsed around the store. I quickly noticed that they sell manju in pretty boxes. The manju was only $12 a box (basically $1 a piece). I really liked the packaging, so I bought it as as gift. The manju was really, really good. It was not too sweet and it was tasty. I heart Korean desserts because it is overly sweet. And I heart Paris Baguette because they have the best customer service and it is plus that I live only 10 minutes away. SCORE!! read more
