Over the last two days I have been working work Parker & Sons on learning about my insulation and then getting it done the next day ... YEP THE NEXT DAY! Brad was the initial guy that came over and went through all the information with me. Good customer service will always get me and he definitely provided that. Brad answered my questions, didnt try to sell me on the company but the value of what I would be doing. Im in marketing so I appreciated that. Today, Tyrrell, Benjamin and Ignacio came at the scheduled time to do the work. One of them came in to explain the pre installation process and had the other two walk around . The job took about one hour (not sure I was working) but once they were done I got a full rundown of pics and everything. I gave this company 4 stars because I would like to see if this actually cools my house at night and make things better. Once I can see that I will update this review. read more

Since the initial review Parker has become very responsive. I've spent $400+ replacing exterior hose bibs, $3,840 on hot water heater replacement. I wasn't real pleased with a $925 bill for adding R410a to an old leaking system, but it helped me prepare for the $28,000+ heat pump and air handler replacement. Also, used Parker to fix and update all electrical breakers for $3,300. Service technician discouraged me from installing a WiFi water main valve based upon peer feedback of problems. read more

Unfortunately today Parker and Son's lost my business. 2 different appointments and both were not done to what was scheduled. First appointment - HVAC was scheduled between 2-6pm because I work from home and unavailable before 2PM. Was called at 11:30AM and was told they would there in 15 mins (Frustrating) 2nd appointment with an electrician to install interior & exterior lightning. At 5:45PM I called to see what we would see the installer... was asked if they could reschedule (Frustrating) I am enrolled in their Family Plan (Discount Program) and will be cancelling and requesting a refund. Make sure you get a second opinion. I asked for someone to come down to unclog the bathtub and fix the dishwasher and ended up paying way more than I probably should. On top of that, they roped me into the membership and told me that I would get a discount on my water tank flush but ended up going back on that because I have a tankless water heater. They also told me the gas line was rusted over and it needed to be replaced a they sent me a quote for the flush and the gas line replacement that was going to end up costing me $900. I got a second opinion for both at $500.. seriously don't trust these people after this experience. I spent over $500 just for them to unclog one drain and replace a hose for my dishwasher and pin it up so it would drain. read more

water heater died so I called parker and sons. The tech who spoke with my home warranty company indicated water heater was still under warranty.Therefore the home warranty company would not pay. I authorized the tech to go ahead and make the repair and install a new heater. He did so and removed the old water heater from the property. Per the water heater company, the new water heater required the old one to be returned for a refund. This was not done, i had to call another company to find the appropriate way to return a water heater and then call parker and sons several times to get this corrected. I also was not aware that the repair was going to cost almost four thousand dollars and when speaking with their plumbing manager was unable to come to an agreement about the warranty, work and charges. Supposedly their owner texted me and requested the story.However , I only ever got to speak with the plumbing manager and never the owner. I'm very disappointed in the tech's statement to his employer that I was notified of all charges and approved them when that was not the case. Parker was called to my elderly parents house for an electrical issue -they came out --the fix was a loose wire going to a GFI outlet-- the wire was tightened for a total time of a few minutes --the charger was just under $300. He told them that they had to get the circuit breakers in the breaker box replace for about 3,000. The breakers were absolutely fine. The guy that did the repair had a real nasty personality and refused to tell them how the exorbitant price broke down. Not the Parker & Sons I use to know! Long time Parker & Sons supporter, but sadly that all ends tonight. I was having A/C issues on Saturday and used their "online" scheduler to book an appointment (the hold recording recommends it) First available was the next Friday from 10am to 2pm. I know it crazy busy, so kind of expected a longer wait. I was able to make it work because we have two A/C units and one of them was working, so we just stayed on that side of the house. 2pm came and went and I hadn't heard from them. So I called and was told I was next on the techs schedule and I could expect a call soon. 5:30 pm still no call. I called back, again told I was next. 8:30pm call back several times as no one was picking up. Finally was able to talk to someone who then told me if I scheduled my appointment online that I'm not guaranteed service. What!? They're hiring amateurs (not all of them are) that can't identify the core issue of my ac not cooling. Charging INSANE rate. Scheduling was just as tough as other bigger known competitors. First diagnosis got a "coolant leakage" fixed, sure. AC wasn't cooling again after 1-2 weeks. Called them back again, second time was a different technician. He suggested to replace the dual current controller saying it's not running properly. Was asking for $2k-ish. We denied the fix bc we just couldn't afford at the time. It also felt like the tech couldn't find the real issue and had to find a fault on the spot. Went with a different, smaller family owned AC. Their new tech came out, went up the attic. Identified the core issue (broken damper). After finding out how much Parker and sons charged us.. the tech sympathized us and offered a temporary fix and it's been working (it's been 8 months now). Not sure if Parker and sons give commission to their tech or what. Their techs gave off salesman vibe more than anything. Sure, pay your employees good. But PLEASE BE ETHICAL. My experience with Parker and Son was nothing like they marketed - the "Not your average Joe", "trustworthy and credible", etc. I have completely LOST TRUST. read more

I used P & S back in January 2022 to replace our entire main electric panel because our home warranty couldn't get it done timely, like because the home warranty didn't want to pay for a new panel, despite their two experts saying it had to be replaced. I then called P & S because we had a very tight deadline to meet with SRP and the City of Tempe. The experience was very good then, although like most things in life, you get what you pay for. I did manage to get the home warranty to pay for 2/3 of the cost -- one of the benefits of working for a law firm. This time, I had P & S out for a plumbing check, and I enjoyed the tech very much. I feel like we wasted his time, though, and read on for why I feel this way. A couple of tips that P & S may wish to put in their website or communications to customers: 1. Apparently natural gas hot water heaters generally only have a lifespan of about 10 to 12 years, and ours is 12 years old. Combined with the exceptionally hard water we have here in Arizona, this water heater is much like the sun after it has used up all of it's helium fuel (in about four billion years), and expands to become a red giant before a supernova explosion. Thankfully we are not likely going to have an explosion, but I suspect we are near the end of the water heater's life. 2. Any "service" or "maintenance" on such an old water heater is generally not recommended, because the outcomes for messing with it are generally not good. As Garrod put it, there's a 75% chance of something bad happening if he were to do anything to it. Since it is working right now, best to leave it be. This has been my philosophy in life for decades...if it ain't broke, don't touch it. He did leave us with four bottles of fluid to keep the drains "exfoliated" which was a nice touch. I found Parker and sons through Home Depot for a seasonal check. i booked and the tech came out as promised. After a full check and so called readings he kept showing me to keep me posted he suggested many different scenarios that my unit (single unit home) needed. ultimately the conversation ended with he and I setting up an appointment with their sales people for 3/27/25. I asked the price of a new unit and he said between 19-22k !!! I almost fell down and was very scared at this point becabuse my unit had been working wonderful for a very long time. He left and I paid him the discounted price for the work he did as Home Depot gave me a 10 dollar discount voucher to present at time of work. I spoke to my friend next door and he recommended Comfort one AC a friend he knew from Minnesota. They also did his home as well. The tech and owner (small company) did my work and cleaned the unit and said I look fine and gave me an option to replace one part, I did that and spent 301.00 dollars with a clean bill of health, end of story. I felt crushed by Parker n Sons heavy negative report of my working fine ac unit / then the need to get an appointment set with sales. I'm a retired self employed business owner with a Marine Corps background. my suggestion is stay away from the heavy hitting sales approach of Parker and Sons or at least get a second opinion. We had a brand new air-conditioning installed at our house. We also replaced the insulation in our attic as they recommended. Our brand new AC unit didn't work properly and we had to have multiple technicians come out to fix the problem. A few months later water began dripping steadily from our smoke detector. A technician came out to "fix" the problem. He said the installation was not done properly resulting in the fan blowing water from the drip pan in our attic. This caused damage to our new installation, water damage to the drywall, and a a filthy mess on the crawl space door where the technician entered the attic. Two months later our smoke detector started going off and sounding error messages. We noticed the water began dripping from it again. The same problem was happening after someone came to "fix" the issue that occurred just months prior. We called Parker and Sons immediately. The call taker told us to "hang in there." We were told no technicians could come out until the next day. We called back because our drywall was super wet and stained with water damage. They told us they'd send someone the next day around 11:00a.m.!! We contacted them the next day when they didn't show up for our scheduled appointment. The customer service call taker told us he was sorry and someone would come to our house as soon as possible. As of now, 1:30p.m., no one has come by to fix the problem. No one has even called us to let us know when they will be here. If you are interested in quality service with equipment that works as it should, I recommend going with someone else. If you want poor quality product that breaks, horrible customer service, and a company that doesn't fix their mistakes then Parker and Sons is right for you. read more

Let's see: * Charged me $2,000 to come out and "fix" my A/C unit * When it literally froze into a block of ice the very next day (some "fix", yeah?), they charged me another $700 just to come out and tell me I should replace it * Then quoted me $20,000 freaking dollars to replace the A/C unit with a new one! Which, based on the other reviews here, may have been low-quality and poorly installed. * I did the smart thing and called someone else. A top-of-the-line replacement was possible for $9,200 installed (less than half of Parker & Scams). * P.S. they know exactly what they're doing because they refused to put the $20k quote in writing. Probably sensed that I was going to forward it straight to the AZ attorney general (I still might, actually). As it happens, my property manager is female, and I seriously wonder if the $20k estimate was just an extremely unethical attempt to take advantage of her (see: mechanics et al.) I purchased a $12,000 HVAC from them because they had a 15 year warranty if any issues come up...not even 2 years into owning the HVAC it dies....so I call to schedule them to come out and look at it (it's 100+ degrees out so time is of the essence). They tell me they can come out next day 8-10am. No big deal...next morning comes..still No text/email/call about the appointment so when it was 11am (1 hour after they were supposed to be there) they said they will be delayed a bit but should be there soon...fast forward to 8pm (12 hours of calling them and them not being able to tell me an eta) they send a text and say "your tech is on the way"...fast forward 5 hours after this (1am right now as I'm writing this) and the tech is still "on his way".. . WTF We are now 17 hours past the original 8-10 window we were originally told with no updates and still no ac!!!!! The absolute worst thing is they claim to say they service 24/7 but that is a scam as they actually outsource their calls to a third party company and it is impossible to contact them directly. Our AO Smith water heater decided to blow a thermostat after 6 years so we called Parker and Sons. They arrived at our home and did an inspection, noting that the top thermostat was having an issue. He told my partner that we could either have him replace the thermostat for $1,100 or the water heater replacement would be between $4,000 and $6,500 with a Bradford or Marathon water heater. Highway robbery if you ask me. I have never ever heard of a water heater costing that kind of money and most other companies we contacted were around the $2,000 range for a Rudd or Rheem water heater and slightly less for a Bradford. We didn't want to get ripped off so we politely asked the technician to leave only to be charged an $80 trip charge. So if you don't agree with their ridiculous pricing, they still get $80 out of you. Do yourself a favor and skip this company. You're going to pay for them to come out to your house and try to rip you off. read more

We bought a Generac generator, everything started out great. The appointment for the install was on time, three trucks showed up and three workers were here all day. They got the new electrical box hooked up and the power back on, after 5 hours, and said the install would be complete on Monday, as it was Friday when they started. I was fine with that, after all they showed up in force. Monday came and one guy showed up. He said he was only there to verify the electric and someone else would be out for the propane connection. Nobody showed... When I called, they said they would have someone call me that day. Nobody called! Five days later I called, and again, someone will call me today... We'll see. I put in a request to get my air ducts cleaned. The tech calls the day of saying he is a few minutes out and shows up. Never mentioned he wasn't here to clean my air ducts until i said something. Ok they dont even offer that service. I have to go to a third party for that. I bought my unit from them last year. I got a tune-up on them. I'm not sure what he did for that, but he claims that is what is being done. Then, he sold me on cleaning it cause it was dusty. I needed to get some work done on a new build. The painting crew worked their part of the job AFTER the electrical crew did during construction, so all the wires inside the boxes were WHITE! Right away, I knew I needed a real electrician, not me with a wire tester and grasping at which wire's the neutral. Parker & Sons set up an appointment within a week and when Andrew showed up, he quickly sized up the job, gave me an estimate, and he was done wiring up my timer switches for my outdoor lights within 40 mins. I had parker and son install a new ac unit along with installing new duct work, extra return and 2 ceiling vents. This is about $28,000.00. Since this work was done I had 2 ceiling vents blowing dirt on my ceiling. I had 3 service techs from Parker and Son look at thus problem. First two techs said maybe leak but dont know however 2nd tech used insulation type to seal around the new return. 3rd tech thst just came out this week said it was cause I had dogs in the house and his solution was to pay Parker and Son $2900.00 to install an electrostatic filter system on this new AC or just live with the two new vents they installed throwing dirt on the ceiling. I asked this 3rd tech to do a pressure test on AC to check for leaks and he said that would about $2,000.00. This tech was really pushing for me to pay for them to install this filation system. Bottomline this 3rd tech said if I was not going to purchase this additional system to add onto this new ac then just live with the dirt these vents they install throwing dirt on my ceiling. Serious price gouging. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 was a technician arrived the same day. My house has 2 outdoor units. In 2022, a compressor failed. A different company charged $2200 which included the discontinued R22. In 2023 the other compressor failed. Again a different company charged $2500 including R22. This week the compressor that was replaced in 2022 failed again. On a recommendation I called Parker and sons. What a mistake. They wanted to charge me $10,000 !! I understand the R22 is going up, but to quadruple the price?? Stay clear of Parker and Sons or they will clear out your wallet. read more

Lyle was my technician. He was great and quickly fixed and diagnosed the issue with my AC. Another company said that it was a unit issue and was going to cost $1000s. I'm so glad I called Parker and Sons for a second opinion. Turned out it was just a fuse problem and was easily fixed and saved me a ton of money. Lyle was also very patient as I relayed questions to him from my husband who was out of town. When I called to make an appointment the dispatcher I worked with was also very kind and helpful in getting me scheduled last minute. Parker & Sons customer support phone/text is very friendly and accurate. You are informed that their techician is on its way, etc. December 2021, emergency ...a few days before Christmas... Hot water tank and HVAC had and were replaced by Parker & Sons. During the installation, an electrical glitch showed up. An electrician from Parker & Sons fixed the problem the same day. The breaker panel was also replaced to prevent further problems and for safety. Summer 2022 - I had osmosis system installed in my kitchen by Parker & Sons with a current customer discount. A friend was unsuccesful insalling an osmosis system from Home Depot, guess what she did after my story - call Parker & Sons. May 2023 - Cody from Parker & Sons, was on site to flush the hot water tank and replaced the anode rod from the hot water tank - which Parker & Sons reminded me that it was time to be done (thank you Parker & Sons) You should have seen the corrosion on the rod. Then I asked Cody if he could have a look at the garburator still not working properly after 2 neighbor interventions.... The garburator had to be replaced. New garburator with 3 year warranty. I use to think Parker and Sons was a good honest company. I had my AC checked a few weeks ago by Matt. He told me my ac was working as good as it could be. Understood since my unit is 11 years old. He then tried to sell me insulation for my attic. I said NO. It would cost 3-5 thousand dollars and he asked 3 more times if I wanted someone come out to look at my insulation in the attic. How many times do I have to say NO? I would rather put that money into a new HVAC unit when needed. They are very expensive! Then today I saw a charge on my credit card statement for $157 and change for a "family plan" maintenance that I DID NOT authorize in any way, shape or form. I couldn't believe they had the nerve to charge me for this!! Almost seems illegal. I called and spoke to Mario who was understanding and assured me that the charge would be refunded in the next 10 business days. I hope this is true. Now I will need to look for an honest company to take care of HVAC, plumbing and electrical services. I'm very upset and disappointed.
