Just no. Water pressure was low throughout our house and our pipes were making a knocking noise. Called these guys after seeing their ad on the back of every bathroom stall in Phoenix... now I understand how they afford to advertise so widely. The plumber had to cut into our stucco to do the job and that made it sound complicated so I agreed to the $890 price tag. Less than an hour later the job was done. when I later looked up the part (like a sucker) it was about a $200 part. I am not accustomed to paying a plumber $690/hour for their service. When we thought we had a leak I was able to schedule a service online and they came next day. The inspector was very thorough and found the issue. They were able to get repair people out the next day to fix it. They cleaned everything after as well! I do wish they had referrals for handymen that can do drywall repair as that's not included but would still highly recommend Parker & Sons! read more

Had a technician named Zachary C. come out to our house in Gilbert to check on one of our two units we suspected was going bad. He went out there to look at the unit and five min later he comes back in and tells us our compressor is shot and it'll be $5000 to fix!! Didn't explain anything and offered to replace it the next day and went on his merry way. Luckily we said no because the units less than five years old and so we wanted a second opinion. We had AC Experts come out and the tech showed us all the tests he ran, what the numbers should be at (it's literally all noted on the inside of the units) and told us the units are working nearly perfectly and was just a PLUG that was loose. I've had three different companies I've reached out to tell me that Parker and Sons takes advantage of people who aren't educated about AC systems and will scam you. Beware! read more

I have used Parker & Sons for many years for heating and air conditioning service. 6 years ago the company installed a completely new system in my home (2 air conditioning units and 2 heating units). Since then I have had a contract for an annual checkup of both the heating and air conditioning units. The installation of my new units was done professionally and completed in one day. There was follow up by company management to ensure that I was satisfied with every aspect of the work - which I was. We were having issues with our 12 year old AC unit so we decided to purchase a new one. We called to set up the install on a Friday and they were able to do it on that next Monday! 5 days later it stopped blowing out cold air so I called them on that Saturday evening and i was told they couldn't help us until Wednesday!! Come to find out that they are having problems with these Lennox units control boards going bad due to the excessive heat in AZ! Got email next day that new board was ready & to call to set up appt. Had our six month check up by Parker and Sons. Technician did an outstanding job! When he was finished he said, "well I have 20 minutes left at your home, is there anything else you want me to do?" I was putting up some Halloween decorations and needed a stake pounded in the ground. Jokingly, I said he could pound the stake in. Be warned...!! Parker & Sons (P&S) are just so horrible. How they have managed to stay in business this long is just a complete mystery. We had a brand new AC system put in a couple years ago, I won't even get into how pushy and rude the salesman was, but we were desperate for a new unit and they were the lowest cost out of five bids we received. Very long story short, this thing has broken down almost every year for a wide variety of reasons. We just had it serviced a couple months ago and here we are again, right in peak summer, and down it goes again. Call up the "24/7" service number, and of course there is no one available to come out. After reading the Yelp reviews during our purchase research, and having to endure the rudest salesman sitting in my own kitchen, I knew I should have gone with someone else, but the wife insisted on the money savings over quality. Do yourselves a favor people, do your research, get multiple quotes, and spend the extra dough and hire a reputable outfit that does quality work, NOT a company like P&S that just works on volume. They come in and push the sale (my fault for not sticking to my gut feeling and principles), slap the units in as quick as possible, then they just deal with the repairs when they come up. Don't buy an air conditioner from these clowns. I paid $9000 for an air conditioner three years ago with a 10 year warranty. It stopped working three times this week. I need to disclose that we did not use Parker and Sons for our A/C replacement but I wanted to leave a positive review anyway. We needed our 15 year old unit replaced. The home Warrantee people, Parker and two other companies all agreed ours was done. I called Parker because they had done a repair for my brother and they had been honest and treated him well. He had been told by another company that he needed a replacement but Parker found the real problem and fixed it for under $100. They came to our house and did a lot of diagnostic work and proposed both Lennox and Bosch. Both are good systems and I was happy with the repair guy who came out and then the sales person who came out because the repair guy agreed it did not make sense to repair our unit. We had three companies look at the job and we did not choose the cheapest proposal because the cheapest one used a manufacturer I did not see as the quality we were looking for. In the end we elected to have the company we had been using install a new Trane unit. The decision was primarily based on a big price difference, and that we could stay with company that had been doing our maintenance for years, but ,had the cost been closer I would not have hesitated to use Parker and Sons. read more

Gosh do I dare right a great review on these guys amongst all the not so good ones? The AC needed to go. After years of my Home Warranty bandaging it and dealing with it breaking down again a month later after another "repair" it was time for me to break down and finally replace the 16 year old unit. That and wife and kids were getting a lil cranky from sleeping downstairs on blow up mattresses every time the upstairs AC went out . From beginning to end my experience with Parker & Sons was professional. The consultant showed up on time and I never felt pressured. It really felt like he had only my families best interest in mind. They were out of stock on the lower priced model so they sold me a better model at the same price. I worked out the financing through them that same first day and the AC was installed 4 days later. Installation was also done by an awesome crew that showed up on time and kept me informed on the process. Just a heads up though, when they tell you "All Day" they mean it. It is in fact an all day project. When it's time to replace the downstairs one, it will be then Ill be calling. read more

I called for emergency electric service on a Friday night as whole house lost power, was told they couldn't give me an ETA but that an electrician would come that night and would call on the way. I stayed home for hours and had ordered a meal while waiting. It was getting late and I didn't hear back, so I called again. It took a while to connect with a real person, only to be told that emergency electricians do not even service my area. I live in a busy part of Mesa, so that was a surprise in itself. When I tried to get more info based on my prior conversation with staff, she apologized saying she is just an after-hours rep, that she could not see the tech notes, and that her system just said that no service was offered where I live. How odd that the tech that I talked to earlier was not privy to that info and did not follow up on an emergency call, which made getting service even later on a Friday night all the more difficult and costly. read more

Every service has been handled quickly, professionally and at a reasonable cost except one and when I called to express my dissatisfaction with that technician another one showed up at my door in less than 30 minutes and redid the work to my satisfaction and with no further charge. We have used Parker for many years, but we have found that the quality of service varies widely depending on the tech assigned. Our latest experience was just awful. The tech, who was here for a semi annual check of our unit had no interest in anything but selling us a new unit. When we bought the house three months ago, Parker inspected the HVAC system and said it was fine. But this tech said the whole thing was falling apart and had to be replaced. We had a second company come out and inspect the system and they said everything was fine. We are not going to roll the dice with Parker again. read more
