I love me a good deli sandwich! I'm constantly looking for delicious sandwiches in the area, and Yelp pointed me to Parma Delicatessen. I quickly bookmarked this place and paid it a visit the next day for lunch. I got the Italian Mix sandwich which looked amazing from the pictures online. I'm telling you this sucker was STUFFED with meat! One bite won't even fit the height of the sandwich in my mouth haha. I'm not really even sure what was in there, but just a bunch of Italian meat goodness. I am an Italian meat lover so it was right up my alley! The best food in Concord. It's small but pack the flavor. My suggestion is a muffalette and the meatballs are to die for. I usually by 10 with a side of sauce. I take that home, make some pasta,add sauce and meatballs and your done for the evening. read more

The sandwiches aren't that bad, probably better than a couple of Deli's within a couple of miles. The Macaroni salad was without taste, perhaps some people enjoy plain Macaroni Salad. The biggest dissatisfaction of our visit to Parma Delicatessen was that two of the workers that worked there behind the counter seemed disturbed that we entered at 3:45 pm. The guy that took our order had zero personality reminding me that they closed soon, and after the other guy who made the sandwiches gave us our sandwiches his words were " don't let it happen again". My answer was then close at 3:30 if you don't want customers coming in before 4:00! The woman that took our payment was wonderful & delightful to talk to, I mentioned to her my concerns about the guy that took our order, she said something to him, I'm guessing they are all related? I've worked in restaurants, I know what it's like to get ready to close , however you are expected to always give your best whenever the sign says OPEN. Customers should be treated with kindness while you are open, that's just good business, that's why many signs say business hours. No matter how great the lady that took our payment was, she is the type of person you would want to do business with, the fact that the other two men that worked there made me almost feel like I was trespassing, I certainly would not return, I will continue to take my chances with Morucci's in Walnut Creek, the only problem with Morucci's is that their service is so good & the sandwiches even better, they constantly run out of bread, read more

I'm back baby! Honestly I didn't know if the sandwiches were going to be able to beat the panini's I've had here but WOW BEST SANDWICH IVE EVER HAD !! No joke Let's start with that bread! Sometimes Dutch crunch can be hard and dry but not from this deli! It was soft and fluffy but still held this gigantic beautiful monster together lol Everything was so fresh and delicious. Definitely going to have to go back and order another one. New go to spot! They do get busy so try and call ahead and remember they close early afternoon I believe so get in while you can. Anytime I'm in concord I like to stop here for a delicious sandwich or take home lasagna for dinner. Lasagna is on Thursdays. Great family owned deli with mom and son behind the counter. I'm not sure what the relationship is but feels like family. Just delicious macaroni salad, hot pastrami sandwich and the cookies are really good too. Found this deli on yelp and it did not disappoint!!! It was busy at 1:15pm on a Saturday, but they were efficient and the wait was not too long. The menu has lots of options, I feel like everyone should be able to find something they'll eat on it. This might be the last remaining true deli serving quality ingredients in the area. I won't name the other local sandwich shops, but their quality has greatly declined, while Parma has stayed true. Solid ingredients and good-sized sandwiches. Customer service is top-notch, too. read more

My lettuce wrap looks nothing like the photo in their photos section. There's a lady with a huge half head looking of lettuce who ordered the lettuce wrap. My lettuce was wilted and not very fresh. We also ordered another meat sandwich with Dutch crunch bread and the bread was strange. So crunch to it and mushy. Given the price point (pretty pricey) I would expect a better product. read more

Working in the area a friend suggested we hit this deli. What a gem !! Small Italian Deli, great sandwiches, they also sell pasta, candy & drinks. I ordered the Italian Mix sandwich with the works (lettuce, tomato, mustard & Mayo on a Dutch crunch roll. The bread was soft, it was filled with a huge amount of Italian meat & cheese. This was by far one of my best Italian Sandwiches. Great little spot for sandwiches, lasagna or just to pick up some Italian pasta. I will definitely return next time I'm is the area. Once in awhile, we crave a good sandwich. I couldn't have deli meat for nine months due to a pregnancy, and it was my first time having a deli sandwich in a long time! Parma Delicatessen has a variety of deli sandwiches, soups, salads, etc. We ordered a few sandwiches and they are HUGE. My husband and I eat a lot, and typically, "we finish each other's... A diamond in the rough. We're new to the neighborhood and we're so happy to have decided to pop in for a sandwich. It's a modest deli packed with a great selection of deli offerings. The moment we walked in we felt as if we've been coming for years. Mary and "Samurai" provided great service with a side of personality punch. We had the Turkey special and the Italian. First time coming her with the wife. Found this place using Concord Comfort Food Week. Nice little spot, good amount of traffic and th staff is very friendly! My wife ordered the Italian Mix on sourdough and I ordered the Crab sandwich (Hot), server told me would take 20-25 minutes for the crab. Which was fine. OMG, it is so huge!!! Do delicious!!! Every. Single. Time. The line is out the door! To be honest, that's the best sign. You walk in and immediately are in an authentic delicatessen. There's meat & delicious looking homemade sides. Everyone who works there and eats there is SO FRIENDLY. I talked to a stranger in the store who recommended the best sandwiches, and told me how he has to buy a specific side because it's his good luck charm when him and his buddies play cards. There's a real community around this shop, and I love it. The food is so authentically delicious. I love a good Subway sub when I'm out of town, but when you're looking for the absolute best sandwich, look no further! Parma Deli is truly everything you want, and more. It's location is terrible. All the way to the back of a plaza with other mediocre food spots and things around it. This place deserved to be at the wrong where the people on the road can see it. Not sure if I've been inside of a delicatessen before but walking into this spot, I could already tell anything I was going to order was going to be delicious. The people behind the counter were all so nice and welcoming and I assumed were all family because thats how they were acting like with each other. It seemed that customer service was their number one priority and in addition to that their food was delicious. Then there were 2 separate sections for extra meat and extra ingredients, and those were required too, and both came with additional charges!!! I thought requiring customers to add extra ingredients and charging them extra because of that was totally ridiculous. If I don't want extra meat or extra ingredients, I should be able to leave those options blank and still place my order. But I couldn't proceed to place my order if I didn't select those. I ended up trying to go with the $17 option instead with minimal customization options. I eventually just placed the order, went to the store, and picked it up. As for the sandwich itself, it was pretty standard in size and the quality was decent, but there really wasn't much going on inside. It was basically just bread, meat, and cheese. There weren't even any vegetables! No lettuce whatsoever. I thought that was really weird for a sandwich to be very bare like this, especially given that the final total cost was $19 for a single sandwich from a small deli. I expected a lot more from a sandwich at that price! Again, the sandwich wasn't bad, but I didn't think it was worth $19.

I was looking for somewhere to cater my daughter's bridal shower in my backyard in my home in Concord so my son told me about Parma, he said they're really good. So I did and they delivered! My son loves to eat good food and somehow seems to find it in every city and every county! He is a regular at Parma they all know him on a first name basis and now they've gotten to know me The food every day is incredible, so tasty and always fresh! We eat at Parma all the time and love their food. Their food is homemade and their portions are oversized so you may want to order a half of sandwich, of half of their lunch specials for which they have many instead of a whole order. Their prices are also reasonable and they also do catering too. I like it there because I can mix and match any thing they have to make a custom mean. They tend to get busy and crowed around 12 noon so we try to get there 30 minutes before noon or after 1 pm so the crowd in less. You will definitely enjoy their food. read more

If you want a great sandwich you cant go wrong here. It is family owned and it shows. They care about the customer not like subwy or someplaces where you have a mionimum wage employee putting in thier time. It is deffinately worth the little bit extra that you have to pay. Why is it we have no problem tipping a waiter 10-20% yet have a hard time giving 10% back to God? I get these random thoughts all the time. read more

It gave me the option to customize my sandwich, but some of the required fields didn't make any sense at all. For example, I don't like olives, but it required me to select olives. Then there were 2 separate sections for extra meat and extra ingredients, and those were required too, and both came with additional charges!!! I thought requiring customers to add extra ingredients and charging them extra because of that was totally ridiculous. If I don't want extra meat or extra ingredients, I should be able to leave those options blank and still place my order. But I couldn't proceed to place my order if I didn't select those. I ended up trying to go with the $17 option instead with minimal customization options. I eventually just placed the order, went to the store, and picked it up. As for the sandwich itself, it was pretty standard in size and the quality was decent, but there really wasn't much going on inside. It was basically just bread, meat, and cheese. There weren't even any vegetables! No lettuce whatsoever. I thought that was really weird for a sandwich to be very bare like this, especially given that the final total cost was $19 for a single sandwich from a small deli. I expected a lot more from a sandwich at that price! Again, the sandwich wasn't bad, but I didn't think it was worth $19.
