Only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is because if I lived closer I would probably eat here too often and that feels medically irresponsible. I'd give it 6 stars if Yelp understood burgers better.

After hearing people rave about this place we decided to give it a try. Our first impression walking in was the down to earth "bend life" easy going style. Just what we enjoy! However with 6 workers behind the counter and us being the only customers, we were not impressed. The lady was helpful in making our food, but we stood and waited at the register for about 3 minutes as 4 other workers chatted right in front of us. We were not acknowledged and felt as a bother. The food was alright. Possibly be back for a second try to see what the fish tacos are all about! The menu had many unique combos and had local beer on draft which is very appealing! I am from the bay area and normally visit Parrilla each time I visit. I was looking forward to the chicken terriyaki tacos only to be told that they weren't building tacos any more! I then noticed that the person in front of me had ordered fish tacos that they were building for her. I was told that they could put all the ingredients in a bowl and give me tortillas on the side for me to build myself. What? That made absolutely no sense to me! When you gottat have fish tacos, you gotta have 'em. And if they're disspaointing after you've beuilt yourself up there's gonna be hell to pay. Hubbie and I worked our selves up into a dither on Friday night with fish tacos on the brain. We also waited WAY to long to eat so that when we got to Parill we were pretty crazed with low blood sugar. Our families main "go to" for quick, delicious and healthy food during the week. Everything is made from scratch and feels as homemade as if I made it in our kitchen. It can get crowded so be prepared to wait in line sometimes..but you can always call in your order once you are familiar with the menu. I always tell new people about Parrilla and they always come back to thank me after going there. read more

This place is delicious! the burritos are so good they make ya want to slap your mama. If someone said would you throat punch your best friend for some Parrilla - well my best friend would have a mike tyson size left hook to the adams apple. If you ever feel lonely go try there fajita it will make you feel more love than a 100 puppies cuddling you on christmas morning. read more

I really like this place. It's nonchalant, carries great beers, has kick ass burritos and is generally a cool place to hang out. I try to go every other week and see if they have something new. The achiote chicken didn't have a ton of flavor (which made me what their regular chicken would taste like). We make achiote chicken at home regularly and the achiote chicken burrito at DG is one of my favs. The carne asada also seemed to be lacking seasoning. On top of that, the pieces of steak were very small and crisply, almost more like bacon bits than small slices of steak. There was also waaaay too much pico and guac on the taco. The flavor of carne asada was almost completely lost. The lettuce on the achiote chicken was a little too abundant also. I would tell you about my wife's chicken rolled tacos, but they gave her beef tacos! I tried the salsa verde and ranchera salsas. They were both pretty good. At almost $4/taco, there are many places I would choose before this spot unfortunately.
