I really like this place - there are plenty of things on the menu that are very good. There is plenty of outdoor seating, and indoor is fine too. You can also grab something to go. It's really just a good overall place to eat. I've had a majority of the things on the menu, and have never been disappointed, but the burrito w/ the noodles in it is my fav (sorry, forgot the name). It's pretty rocking with the suggested innards and the curry sauce (you can choose from three different sauces). Small local popular burrito and taco joint. Large portions, reasonable prices, quick service. I enjoyed the fish burrito that has crispy fried fish, their special creamy spicy fish sauce that you can also purchase and your choice of black or pinto beans. I tried both on two consecutive days. I wasn't very impressed. We went in and got burritos and started eating. There was hardly and meat in the burritos and the meat that was in there was gristle and fat. The tortillas were dry, it was mostly rice, there was barley any flavor and the only thing that was good was the bottled coke. This may just be my experience but you can guarantee I will not be back. read more

No doubt that this place has fresh ingredients with lots of toppings and salsa's to hose from. The guacamole seems to be more blended than mashed with a big hint of lemon, which makes it taste like it came from a bag. The salsas made up for the guacamole. Whoa. No better way to cap off a long hike than with a burrito from Parrilla. There are several types of wraps and burritos to choose from. Classic to Bombay to Jambalaya! My personal go to is the classic with smoked chicken. There are other proteins like beef, tofu, pork, or just veggies. Most things can be made vegan. Their corn chips are amazing! Super fresh and just the right amount of greasy. Don't forget a margarita - they're strong! One goes a long way. Or grab a kombucha if that's more your speed. Midtown/Eastside location: We've been wanting to stop in here for a while and tonight was the night. Parrilla opened up this Midtown/Eastside location last year April 2017. Parrilla Grill has been a standard on the westside since 1999 on NW 14th Street and NW Galveston Avenue. That serve up a variety of wraps and some tacos/burritos calling themselves Mexican/American Fusion. I'm not sure exactly what I'd call this cuisine, but fusion probably describes it pretty well: What we liked: They had some great beer on tap. They offer quick countertop service. The servers and staff were very friendly and took and put our order quickly. This is a popular spot and there was a short line the entire time we were there. The prices were really good just $6.50 to $9.00 per meal. Did I mention that they have some great micro brews on tap. We ordered Chicken tacos and the Club Wrap (a BLT wrap with guacamole and chicken) and a pint of Worthy beer stout and the RPM IPA. This review is for the mid town location. I came here on March 12th, for dinner at 5:30. Three men were working the line and very confused with what food went to who and what they ordered. That was the first red flag. Secondly, watching as they tried to figure out what was happening, I watched their lack of hand hygiene. And all while the corona outbreak is hitting bend. Firstly, the two men making the food were touching their faces and then using their hands to put fish in the taco shell. GROSS. Then the thing that got me, the cashier took money and cards then proceeded to help make food orders. All without washing hands. Lastly, our food was awful. My bean and cheese burrito was cold. No cheese melted, the tortilla cold, and the beans were very starchy. The fish taco shells were cold and the only "warm" thing was the fried fish that was touched with dirty hands. Okay Parrilla can be a little busy sometimes and also a little spendy but it is totally worth it. The staff is really nice and the food is amazing. Plus it's locally and responsibly sourced and organic. The fish burrito is my favorite. With all of the recommendations and maybe some added habanero sauce. I go to Padilla often and the portions are really filling, which makes the price better because a burrito sometimes turns into two meals. If you're a visitor to Bend, definitely try Parrilla. They're called wraps and not burritos for a reason. And if you asked for the added carne asada, it's $4 more, you're still eating lettuce wrapped in a tortilla. I am still waiting for my deposit back on their catering service for my daughter's wedding. They contacted my daughter first of august & told her they were canceling the catering service for the weeding due to low staffing.They said the would return my deposit of $1700.00 back ASAP & & so far have not received my deposit back. I really used to like this place but their latest price increase is just one too many for me. $11 for a shrimp wrap of khan! Good grief! This must be the most EXPENSIVE fast food burrito anywhere in the United States. I'm not being sarcastic-- I have literally eaten hundreds, perhaps thousands of burritos all over the country but I have never paid $11 anywhere for any type of fast food burrito. I love Parilla and have been eating there for 15 years! Last Friday, my son pulled back the foil on his wrap from the midtown location and found a fake fingernail stuck to the side of his wrap. We were all sickened! I called to tell them this happened. They offered us a $15 gift certificate which did not even cover our bill of four wraps. If you're looking for the BEST fish tacos in town, look no further. I have eaten at this restaurant almost once a week for a few years now because of their fish tacos. The location is great and especially convenient if you're heading down from the mountain! They have good beers on tap, a friendly staff, decent prices, and a cool outdoor patio. The place can get pretty packed around rush hour, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. PS - I would also recommend the fettuccine Alfredo wrap with shrimp. It's basically a better Chipotle with some novelty items, has a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions & allergies, and a pretty interesting menu. You can eat and have a drink for under $20 and leave full and happy. I know what I'm getting when I go there, and I go back every time. Kinda chintzy with the fresh stuff (really, TWO squares of diced tomato?) and a general lack of knowledge of ingredients by the staff. I miss the original. Yesterday was our first visit to Parilla on the west side since the "remodel". The interior is bright and open, but the menu choices have seemingly decreased while the prices have increased. My husband had to specifically ask for Hefe's tacos because the burrito is all that's on the menu. Why mess with one of your staples?? I had a "bowl" that was really just a salad with some pumpkin seeds and radish on it and I paid $2 to add about a 1/2 cup of diced sweet potato. Very disappointing and so sad. read more

This is an interesting alternative to Mexican? food in Bend. I can't seem to figure out what type of food they are serving. But, they do make delicious food. The fish tacos are great, the burritos are right there with it. The location is pretty good. They are within walking distance of anything in downtown Bend. This is important if you have went to any place near for beer and such. The atmosphere is pretty cool. You can tell from the moment you walk in that you have entered a laid back atmosphere. Nothing much else I can say about this awesome mexican food joint that hasn't already been said by other reviewers. - Their fish tacos are some of the best fish tacos I've had yet (and i spent a decent amount of time in San Diego with great mexican food) - Their burritos are great too. I am a Chipotle FIEND (5x week), so while traveling thru Bend on a nude modeling tour of the Pacific Northwest, I tried to look up a Chipotle location in town, for cheap and healthy eats. Unfortunately, Bend is apparently too cool for chains...so I was S.O.L. Fortunately, Yelp steered me to this place, which many users compare to Chipotle...and which I *SHOCKINGLY* found better than Chipotle!!! OMG, I never thought I'd say that!! The atmo was a little bro-ish, and I can imagine it's oppressively crammed with sno-bros in the wintertime (**shudder**), but on this midweek summer afternoon it was fine. Small, funky interior, medium patio, tiny parking lot, clean restrooms and lots of granola-bro character. But the food was *A*W*E*S*O*M*E !!! I can see where maybe if you tried to replicate a Chipotle-style burrito, the flavors might not measure up -- but I can't say, as I didn't want to waste my time on something I could get somewhere else...not when they had all these awesome foodie alternatives!! I was torn between the Bombay one and the Wrap of Khan, and went with the latter. FREAKING AWESOME!! I also had a side of chips, salsa and guac...all of which were AMAAAAZING and better that that served at Chiptole (maybe not the guac, but the chips and salsa for sure). And I had a glass of lemon-ginger kombucha, which was also great. My sister had the salmon wrap, which she said was good, but probably not as good as what I had. So, keeping that in mind, along with the other tepid reviews on here...I'd say stick with the exotic shit here. I have no plans to ever pass thru Bend again (too many bros), but if I ever do, it will probably be exclusively to come here...as this is their one and only location :( read more

I've only lived here for 2 months but this is the only restaurant in Bend I have been to more than once. Coming from California (sorry, not sorry) I've missed quality Mexican food it has to offer. Imagine waiting 3 months for your favorite restaurant of 17 years to reopen from the Covid shut down. You can't decide what you want first: fish burrito, bbq smoked chicken, jambalaya? You might even order one of each just to make up for lost time. Then, the magical day happens and they finally reopen, you walk in and none of your favorites are on the menu, in fact the entire menu is completely different. The layout is different, the design is trendy rather than comfy, and the faces behind the counter were no longer familiar, everyone was new. This is what happened to me. My heart broke and I left hungry after eating my $14 burrito. The cool, comfy locals spot is now like the older sister that is suddenly too good for her younger sister, and will go to any lengths to avoid her and pretend she doesn't exist. This place is no longer for locals, it's for tourist. The locals have bumper stickers that says "Mt. Bachelor hates locals".......now Parrilla is worthy of one too. I don't live in Bend, my parents do. My Dad introduced me to this place and I must admit that upon entering, I didn't have high expectations for a taco/burrito place in the middle of Oregon. I was pleasantly surprised. I love this place... I look forward to going every time I go up to visit the family. I live in LA and I wish we had a Parrilla Grill down here!!
