    Passionfruit juice.
    Daniel C.

Got the super baleada and a passion fruit juice. The tortilla and beans were great, and the steak was pretty good too. The cheese was a little overpowering, I probably would try something without it next time. The avocado I got was also not very good, I would just avoid the avocado altogether just in case. Overall pretty good and a great option if you're on the lookout for a baleada in particular.

Food was amazing. We got so full off the app we had to take out Baleadas to go! Meet the cook she was lovely had to tell her how amazing the food was. Service was spectacular. And the restaurant was so cute and well decorated. Felt like someone's home. Can't wait to come back!!

    So cute!

Good food, great prices, wonderful service in an adorable, quaint setting! I LOVE Mexican, Central & South American food (blame my Costa-Rican father!) so I'm a big fan of baleadas, pupusas & tamales, etc. Came here with my dad recently & ordered a Mora juice (blackberry) and the combo that came with una Baleada Sencilla (beans, cheese & natilla, I also added avocado) & a Pupusa (bean & cheese). We also had delicious Cuban coffee & flan for dessert. Our waitress, Karen was so sweet & all the employees were lovely! Will def be back to try the Pollo Ceibeño!

Great Honduran restaurant. I loved their baleada and soup. The soup is an absolute must. Service and location were great. They have parking available. The ambiance is casual and great for families. The food tastes very authentic and to me Honduran food has a very particular delicious taste. Definitely a go to place moving forward.

LOVED this place. The quality of every dish that came out was superb. Great example of Honduran food. The restaurant although fairly large was packed to the brim for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Our waiter was very sweet and took his time with us, we aren't used to ordering Honduran food, so a lot of questions were asked. I ordered the beef soup or sopa de res, they only had one serving and three of us ordered. So we let my mom take it. She loved it. I ordered the carne asada as my second choice and I wasn't upset. The dish came with rice, a coleslaw salad, maduros (plantains), a slice of avocado, refried beans, a slice of white cheese, and two tortillas!! Talk about yummy leftovers. The steak had an amazing taste and was juicy. I cannot wait to come back to try more dishes.

Just bought a balada from here for take out and had some piece of metal brush it looks like

Great place but they gotta be more cautious never eating here again got a piece of metal brush inside my balada

Typical Honduran plate with carne asada. Everything was excellent.

I just moved to East Little Havana and am trying some authentic places, I refuse to go to Brickell and wait for a table surrounded by women wearing sequins on a Tuesday night, so I try to hit authentic places 90% of the time just like I did in New York my whole life. I've been hitting Las Cabañas Salvadoran on the corner of Calle Ocho and SW Fourth Avenue, so I found this Honduran place no much farther up Calle Ocho (it's all walking distance--I live near Jose Martí Park on the Miami River). It was around 9:30am on a Sunday morning. I barely speak Spanish and the nice waitress who speaks no English figured out my order of a typical Honduran plate consisting of a carne asada, refried beans, white rice, avocado, white cheese, maduros, lime, pico de gallo, and a small salad of cabbage topped with a tomato slice. This was huge. For some reason they grilled a steak and then sliced it into pieces and put it on a skewer like a pincho with grilled onions and peppers, but it was grilled on a flame with grill marks. Maybe it was to get the whole meal served on one plate. I also had a strong cafe con leche. The food was delicious, rather large for any meal of the day but I powered through it and paid the price later by not going to the gym or being productive. I'd definitely go back there for the food and the man who speak English and works the Apple Pay device appreciated the compliments and that I had been there the first time.

I have known of this place for at least 7 years now. The food usually takes more than average to get to your table. Like they say, great things take time. I love the decoration of sombreros, clay sculptures and the amazing information plastered on each table. If you are Honduran, you will love learning more about the culture from those tables. Ok, let's talk about the real one, the food. I ordered la cena especial. Tajadas (thin like my preference), frijoles (perfectly fried), maduros (on the right spot), queso fresco, mantequilla hondureña, aguacate (great quality), huevos revueltos and a medium well cooked meat. I also had an Horchata. I totally recommend this place. Outstanding service.

I've been here a couple times. I visit from Chicago and I love Honduran food! So if you're looking to explore different Latin-American foods this is definitely a place to go! Their pupusas are good. I got a mix. They're baleadas are also amazing! I feel like this place is usually packed, but worth the wait! I recommend you try the Honduran Tacos and enchiladas!

    Friends + the place. Spacious.

We both agreed the sandwich was the perfect portion as well. Our server, Courtney, was very attentive and friendly. And the restaurant had a sophisticated and pretty ambiance. My sister kept saying how much she loved the color scheme and the decor and how we made a great decision going there for lunch! I enjoyed the show occasionally as a guilty pleasure, but I'm really not big into the whole reality TV does dining type of thing, however my hubs has had Hell's Kitchen on his must eat list for years. We never made it to the one in Vegas last year, so I thought Id treat him to lunch at this yesterday after a work event he was honored at. After yesterday's experience, I have no problem admitting I was wrong and will wholeheartedly walk that sentiment back. Hell's Kitchen impressed me, which if you've read my reviews isn't always an easy thing to do. The food flavors were all on point, service was exceptional, and the coursing time hit the mark from start to finish. The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5, is hubby's main was not very hot. There were only a handful of tables at the time so that element was a bit disappointing. I opted for Miami Spice, and hubs picked the Express lunch which comes out to a better deal for what he ordered. We never had to look for a server for water, and they were really accommodating in adjusting my order (I have to have sauces on side and low salt right now because of a health issue). On to the main event, the meal! Drinks: Strawberry & Mint Spritz: This N/A bev sounded interesting on paper but neither of us super enjoyed it. It was just a little too syrupy sweet. I love that they're using N/A prosecco and apertivos though and not just putting a bunch of juice and sodas in a cup and calling it a mocktail. If we ever make it back I'd be up for trying a different one on the list or a real deal cocktail. Caesar salad: This was a generous portion with delicate parmesan crisps and large crunchy croutons. The limited amount of dressing I did use was delicious and perfectly balanced. I skipped most of the croutons as they were too salty for me, but probably perfect for the average Joe. Carrot soup: My guy enjoyed this thoroughly, and stopped short of licking the bowl. I tried it, but it wasn't my cup of tea. The presentation was lovely. Crispy Skin Salmon: This was my choice from the Miami Spice menu. It's miso marinated and served with a crispy sushi rice cake, sautéed baby bok choy, and a miso beurre blanc which they put on the side for me. I asked for the fish to be cooked well done, and they nailed that. It was perfection on the tongue and still delicate and moist in spite of being fully cooked. The skin was expertly crisp as well and really tasty. The only negative of this dish was the oil factor. Salmon is oily on its own, but this plate was dripping from the rice cake to the bok choy, and that's omitting the beurre blanc entirely. Speaking of, everything was so flavorful on its own that the dish carried itself without any extra salt or sauce. I did try the beurre blanc with a few bites though and it was nice. Petit Beef Wellington: Aside from not being hot enough, hubby overall enjoyed this. He prefers a lumpy skin on mash, but I thought the mash purée was divine. We just both wish it was hotter when it came out. Cherry Blossom Cheesecake: I haaaate that almond extract taste found in cherry cordials, and this was loaded with it from my one bite. Thankfully I didn't order this. Hubs did, and loved it! Also the plating was beautiful! Sticky Toffee Pudding: Was this the best STP I've ever had? No. Was it enjoyable? Absolutely! In hindsight, I wish hubs had gotten the 2 course express menu and split this dessert with me because it's full size and a massive overload of sugar for one person. I barely ate a quarter and ended up in a sugar coma the rest of the day. Would I still order it again? You bet your sweet ass! To wrap this up, this was a surprisingly enjoyable meal. The check still packed a punch though at $150 for two with one mocktail. Overall I do think it's a great pick for a nicer meal with upscale British and European favorites with a global inspired twist.

For our entrees, my husband got the catfish and grits, which he loved, and I ordered the fried chicken with cornbread waffles. It was SO good. Seriously, I can't stop thinking about it. We shared collared greens on the side and they also were amazing- they were so flavorful! I really can't choose a favorite dish. I would order exactly the same way next time (even if it was too much food ). The atmosphere was also fantastic. The restaurant feels trendy and stylish without trying too hard, and everything is done very tastefully. They also have an outdoor dining area, which we didn't use this time, but it's nice to know it's there for good weather days. My only two very minor complaints: I wish the cornbread came with a little more butter--it was just a tiny smear, so next time I'll ask for extra; And I wish they offered a hotter hot sauce option for those of us who like a bit more spice. I first fell in love with the Gibson room because it had old-timey speakeasy vibes with its moody lighting, close knit two-seater tables and best of all LIVE JAZZ. The decor was eclectically classic, I had admired this lovely framed Murillo art print. Where did it go?! Wish they had a sale of all their nice things--I would have kept that print as a memento. BUT Now.... The cozy tables have been replaced by only high tops (to pack in more rabble). The delicious and creative gourmet food has been replaced by bar bites and pizza. No more jazz. No more speakeasy vibes. It's become a run of the mill Miami bar. One of many. Nothing unique or special. Now don't get me wrong, the pizza is delicious and thankfully the bar tending is the same quality. BUT the old vibes are gone. It's just another place like so many others The WORSE of it is: we felt like we were surrounded by pirañas. We had a high top table since we got there at a good time. Ordered our drinks and pizza. Then it filled up and no tables so people hung around near us to "claim" our table as soon as we left. The woman even had the audacity to ask (while I was STILL eating my pizza): "you're almost done right? You're leaving soon, right? You can give me your table." It made the experience so unpleasant by such unclassy behavior by patrons. They all did similar things to those trying to enjoy their bar bites. Desperate for tables and acting like fools to get one. Needless to say, I won't be coming back now that the atmosphere and clientele had changed dramatically. RIP old Gibson. (PS showing photos of the OG space)
