The chicken parmesan was excellent, but the lasagna was Out of this World amazing, the best I've ever had. Pasta was so silky tasting, light & airy. Perfect. The portion size was also ginormous, but I managed to finish it all ! Loved it. Marinara sauce was also spot on. The bread that came to the table before our meals was superb, and my wife had a sangria with her meal which she enjoyed very much. Came back a few nights later, but this time we had to do a takeout order (our dog had been injured at the farm the day before and we did not want to leave her at the airbnb by herself). So I picked up two entrees -- a shrimp fettuccine alfredo and a salmon dinner. The salmon was first-rate, but the shrimp fettuccine alfredo was clearly the winner tonight, it was fantastic. We appreciate that they did not go overboard with the alfredo sauce (like so many restaurants do), the chef clearly knows how to prepare Italian dishes. We also had a slice of cheesecake and a tiramisu for dessert -- both were stellar, we loved them ! Lombardi's Restaurant in Gardiner, NY is Top Notch in my book. The staff are very friendly & attentive, especially David, he was extremely personable and funny. We live over two hours away in Connecticut, but we plan to come back to Lombardi's in the near future, that's how much we enjoyed our dining experiences there.

The wine selection is great and prices are great. They are still getting draft beer settled but they have a few options plus bottled beer. Adding pics of wine menu and the manicotti (I've already eaten some, sorry). But so delish. The bread is to die for and we can't stop raving about it! Our favorite pizza is to get 1/2 Crazy Chicken, 1/2 penne vodka...love that the pizza is so crispy. Last week we had 1/2 cheese and 1/2 meatball and it was amazing also. Can't go wrong here. Different from other pizzerias in the area.

It doesn't feel like New York and it is the most beautiful place to celebrate, come out with your girls or spend a sunny day in the outdoors. We came here on a Thursday afternoon and it was super quiet and peaceful with not a lot of people, the perfect place to come to while family was out of town. Fun fact: 8 different wines are grown, harvested, fermented and bottled in their winery. They also have different flavored sangrias! Loved ordering the mix and match flight where we got to taste the sangrias and wines. My ooooonlyyyyyyy thing would be I wish the pours were a bit fuller since they're more of a sample size (or at least it felt like it). We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. It needs to be spruced up to match the superb food inside!
