Alfredo chef's pasta with truffle oil, sausage and spinach
    Sumin S.

Quaint, family friendly pasta place! There's still a plenty of space to sit though. The price was reasonable and the pasta was seasoned just right. (And you could actually smell the truffle oil!) My bf and I got the handcrafted pasta and the texture was great. It's notable that some of the other pasta are imported from Italy as well.

BYO pasta- Strozzapreti, Alfredo sauce, Italian sausage, and mushrooms
    Aubrey F.

Ordered through a delivery service. Tried the BYO pasta. I chose Strozzapreti, Alfredo sauce, Italian sausage, and mushrooms. I'm not sure how to describe the Strozzapreti but it was phenomenal! This was a perfect portion for 2-3 meals depending on the person. I got 3 meals out of it. We ordered breadsticks to share but forgot to take a picture. Very disappointing. Just bread with what seemed like garlic seasoning. Only complaint is the mushrooms to add were $1.99, which there were not many mushrooms in my dish.

    Penne Alfredo with Chicken

Ordered delivery from Pasta Di Guy and it did not disappoint! Portions were generous and everything tasted homemade. The spaghetti noodles were fresh, the meatballs were hearty and flavorful, and the Alfredo was very good. Menu hack: mix the Alfredo and red sauce together - takes it to another level. First timer but local, def adding this spot to my regular rotation!

baked ziti with practically no sauce

I truly wanted to love this. Italian food is something I absolutely love and who wouldn't appreciate the concept of fresh food made from scratch? I was so excited when I heard about Pasta di Guy and expected to be a regular customer. I was so incredibly disappointed by what I ended up getting when I eventually tried them. If I had to describe my baked ziti in one sentence it would be, "Make me a baked ziti that has the least amount of sauce possible without having no sauce." (see attached photo) The whole time I was eating it I was thinking, "This sure would be a lot better if it actually had sauce." I don't know if this was a one time hiccup or how the dish is actually served. Hopefully it's the former.

Sampler chicken sandwich "sub" as they call it
    Jackie C.

Tried this place- never going back. I ordered BAKED ziti and a chicken parm SUB. I received penne with a spoon or two or sauce with shredded mozz stuck in places.. and a chicken parm sandwich sampler ( probably the size of my palm) chicken was crunchy. Not sure how they get some good reviews.. but this is ridiculous. And for $15 pasta .. I'd like it to be an actual baked ziti.. and not some tossed pasta w some sauce. What a shame

Wow!!!! Authentic pasta and wonderful flavor. We ordered in and the order was correct. My husband had the red sauce and he loved it. I had the white sauce and it was absolutely yummy! The pasta, mushrooms, chicken and sauce were all amazing! Great portion size and good prices. We will definitely order again without hesitation. I just wish Italian bread was served with it, but it was so good the bread wasn't missed that much.

The pasta was pretty tasty! It was cooked well and flavorful! The salad is also quite good. I was skeptical because it looked small for a large salas, however they packed A LOT into that container. The soda was a bit on the flat side. But overall, everything was good.

Whether I'm sitting at the bar by myself or at a table, I always enjoy the food and the atmosphere. But that Sunday was even better because I was accompanied by my son. Our server, Danielke, was amazing! She was attentive, patient, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Of course, I had to get their mimosa. I mean, who doesn't have a mimosa on Sunday? My son went with the strawberry lemonade. He ordered the chicken and waffles, while I had the shrimp and grits. Let me tell you the shrimp was flavorful, with just the right amount of spice, and the sausage added even more flavor. And those grits? Just perfect! Creamy, delicious, and the perfect complement to the shrimp. It was the perfect Sunday brunch date, good food, great service, a wonderful atmosphere, and quality time with my son. When we went to go pick up our order yesterday we told the lady at the to-go counter the name on the order and we were told "it'll be ready in a few minutes". After waiting 20 minutes, we experienced other orders come and go. It wasn't until my husband spotted our pizza in the warmer and realized it was sitting there all this time. I wasn't even upset about the fries and the lukewarm pizza. I wasn't even more upset that the employees passed by my husband several times and didn't care to ask if he was waiting on an order or get his name again to check if it was ready, even though the information was already provided when we arrived. I'm conflicted if the consistent over waiting and previous experience will take us back again.

MAKE A RESERVATION....You will need it…read more Piccola is a very small place. A few tables. And you need the reservation to get in as people do go all the time. The chef is the owner and even takes the order. The assistant cleans, and serves and handles the rest. Like stepping into an Italian family kitchen to see what is on the table for the night. And with the special menu of the evening, it is like you are stepping into the kitchen. With a reservation for 6 we were lucky to have the table. It is a BYOB so bring what you might want to go with the meals. A red wine is a good idea. As for the specials, it was varied. There are many options to have that are not on the menu. Even that is small. The chef does tell you what was the specials. He answers the questions and does describe what he is thinking. For 6 of us this gave us good options. Several were ordered, and some traditional was selected. We started with appetizers. Tomatoes and mozzarella was always a way to start. Classic. Mixed with a green salad and some extra cheese it is a good way to go. Garlic bread was a complement. We also had the rice balls stuffed with a small meatball combo. This is typical in certain regions of Italy, and each are different. It had a special sauce to top it and more bread. The sauce was good enough as a dipping sauce for the bread without the rice ball. As we ate the apps we drank the wines. Truly typical for an Italian meal. When the entrees came out it was time to shift things around. These entrees were a good size and freshly cooked. You can see the chef in the kitchen cooking each meal. This is a home kitchen. We had a few specials. One was the duck on the couscous. With the frech sauce and herbs it was amazing. It is not how you expect to have duck. It was definitely not Chinese. This was a fresh duck cooked and aged so that the flavor was ideal. The portion was large and the aroma amazing. Also had to have a very traditional pasta carbonara - pasta mixed in a garlic cream sauce with onions and pieces of bacon. A bit of peper and grated cheese helps. It is an old simple idea what what is always made in a family. There was also pasta bolognese, and even a pasta with sliced rib steak in a mushroom cream sauce. Very different. Once the meal was finished had to have espresso and dessert. The espresso was made the old way in a pot I still have on a the shelf and use. As for the dessert, we did have a lemon cake and a cake made with pistachio that was ground and had flavor that was not expected as a cream in a cake. It was exceptional. As the waitress mentioned, these cakes come from a bakery in Italy and are delivered. The taste and sweetness are typical of Italy and not of the US. Very Italian. The food is great. It is fresh, tasty, has a flavor and style that is unique to the chef. He can make a great meal that you will enjoy. It is typical but with a twist. The portions are a good size. The price is perfect. Bring your own wine and step inside. It is like being in someone;s kitchen. And make that reservation!
