Hands down the best food ever. Sound dramatic? I had their penne vodka (added grilled chicken). Nothing anywhere compares to this flavor. I've looked. Not convinced? I now live out of state and crave it. I have searched high and low for a replacement. When visiting NJ, eating here is a must do. It is a small location and the prices feel hefty (adding chicken to an already pricey pasta) but the portions last me for days! So really.... It all evens out. They're owned by the same people as Sal's pizza next door which has been a family staple since I was a kid. Pizza from Sal's every Friday night. I remember my parents being upset they never got into delivery but it didn't matter. There was never a question where we'd order from. Nothing compared. Very family friendly. I've often seen the owner's dining there with their families or just hanging out. Take out is always busy! Closed Sundays which makes me sad. But I appreciate their commitment to a day off. Sigh. My husband and I get take-out from here all the time. They give a decent amount of FREE bread with the meal, always a plus! And their portions are very big, enough for 2 people to split. Only disappointment was their chicken parm, it was a little to soggy, almost like it was kept in sauce all day. Other than that we enjoy their pasta dishes! read more

Worst meal ever. Everything you order is swimming in tasteless tomatoes that are as bad as they look. Never again. The bruschetta we got for takeout had the tomatoes on the bread (instead of in a container on the side) so the bread was completely soggy. They're also pretty expensive for the type of place it is. My wife and I go here whenever we get a chance to date for dinner. She loves the Putanesca and subs tortellini for the penne. I get the veal parm meal. We don't mess with what works because they work SO well. Decor feels very casual but doesn't do the food justice. Parking can be an issue but around back you can usually find a spot. BYOB if you want to bring some wine or beer with you. Servers are always ready to help with more bread or refills of drinks. Food comes out quickly and hot. Take-out option is very convenient as well when we don't have that babysitter. read more

The food is okay, but their customer service is questionable just like their online prices vs. their in-store menu prices. I treated my husband to some takeout this evening from Pasta Pomodoro for his birthday so he went online and ordered the Tortellini Romano for what he thought was regularly priced at $16.95 (hence it was not considered "a special"). After I placed my order at PP and questioned the nearly $50 price for two adult entrees and one kids order, I asked Dominique at PP what the price of the Tortellini Romano was and was told it was a "special" for 19.95 because it was not on the menu. Ok, I guess, until I went home and was told by my husband he ordered the Tortellini Romano as a "regular" menu item which was listed for $16.95 per PP's online menu and was not a "special" per Dominque in the store. I called back and was pretty much told, oh well, I guess you are out of three bucks, since we recently increased our menu prices but totally forgot to change our online menu prices to reflect our in-store menu prices. Sucks to be you, loyal customer. Three bucks may not seem like a big deal to a lot of people, but it is a big deal to me. And for $50 for just take out food (no drinks), which pretty much resembles Olive Garden on a Saturday night, I will take my $3.00 and go to Olive Garden, or stay closer to home and go to the Italian Affair on Delsea Drive. It's definitely a busy take out counter on a Friday night but we were seated (anywhere you like) right away. I ordered the penne do mama bianca. The cream sauce was buttery and delicious. The pasta (I substituted angel hair) was a bit too plentiful. It could have used a touch more prosciutto. My partner had the ravioli bolognese which he enjoyed. Now for the meatballs. My husband is a meatball snob searching for the perfect restaurant meatball. An impossible quest since he's comparing them to his South Philly mother's meatballs. Tonight's meatball selection was lacking in texture and flavor. Sigh. We'll try another place. We didn't have room for dessert. We would go back to this restaurant. read more

Great homemade Italian dishes. We get this food for our annual Christmas party at work. Recently, the husband and I went there to eat in. The tables remind me of the tables we use in our operating room-stainless steel! But you know what? They are hygienic and clean. The food is excellent. We have been going for dinner for awhile now but never did take out. Well thank you COVID19. Tonight we have the penne positano, trio of pasta, and my four year old have tortellini with butter. We also had a side of meatballs and garlic bread. The order was ready in 25 minutes which we planned for and completely acceptable. The food here is out of this world good. We will have enough for lunch tomorrow. The only thing that I would change is an upgrade to better to go containers. Minor gripe. Love this place read more

Quick and delicious Italian food. A little pricey though but worth it when I'm really craving.... Never disappoints.

First time here, the special sounded healthy so I tried it. I thought I was getting grilled flounder with crab meat on top and vegetables on the side. What I got was fried flounder with with a thick clear paste with crab meat and tomatoes. The clear gravy was very starchy and bitter. Probably one of the worst dishes that I ever had in an Italian restaurant. It was like an afterthought or something experimental that u make once and you never do it again. The garlic bread with cheese has no other restaurant that can even compete with it. If your looking for great italian food at great prices this is the place to go. My husband and I have been coming for years and have no plans on stopping Not much on decor, but we go for the food. It is a BYOB so select your favorite wine and grab a terrific past meal. The wait staff is terrific and the place runs like a well oiled machine. All dishes are made with fresh ingredients and the selections are great. The combinations of ingredients in the selections show a chef with good imagination and great palete. I cannot make a single recommendation because everything we have ever tried is sensational. I often order the bandolini montabianca, fresh tomato, asparagus, fresh mozzarella and pasta in a white wine sauce to die for! The only dislike we have are the tables. The tables are very strong with big legs that get in the way. It is very uncomfortable if you have four people at the table. Love, love, love this place! read more

This restaurant is just a mediocre restaurant. I've been here few times (not my choice), and every time I had just an OK experience. Servers were chewing some food behind counter and chatting, so we had to wait for our server to notice we are ready to order. Not really a friendly server. Bow tie pasta was over cooked. The sauce is not impressive. The menu says using kalamata olives, but half of the olives tasted like regular black olives. My friend's seafood was totally over cooked. The pasta restaurant cannot cook pasta right is very sad and disappointing. The dinner entrees should come with soup or salad with this price. Overall, the food and price are not matching. This is probably the best Italian restaurant in Washington TWP. The food is great, prices are not so expensive, and the waitresses are all really great people. The owners are really nice too. The place is really small (there's probably about 10 tables or so). It can get very crowded there at times and people are standing all around waiting for a table. read more

My go to place for take out Italian food. Service is great. Meals are huge and reasonably priced. It can get a bit noisy, but I overlook that because the food is so tasty.
