Dropped in on our way to a show. I don't know what kind of magic is in the food here, but it is amazing! The lights and art are so pretty here, ambiance is spot-on. Feels fancy, but it's casual. Our server has been fantastic! Personality + quick wit and service is great! Would definitely come here again!! 5-stars all around! We ordered drinks from the bar, apps, salads with chicken, and dessert. I don't know what kind of sorcery the chefs did in the cheesecake, but it was mouthwatering-good!

Ate here for happy hour on a Thursday (2-5) and it was not busy at all. The service was quick, kind, and attentive. The food was better than okay, but nothing spectacular. Great for watching a game, or sitting at the bar with a friend.

This is a pleasant, peaceful spot for breakfast for an evening drink. We came in the morning since we had food credits from staying in the hotel and the spiced apple French toast was delicious! The bartender was very friendly and helpful in the evening as well.

Food was good but my wife ordered her steak medium and it came out rarer than mine that was medium rare. They remade it for her with no issues. The crab cake appetizer was very good with mostly crab meat and very little filler. The sauce was excellent. Beautiful space. Service was great considering that there was only one server, but the bartender and the chef helped delivering the food.

Hey Bob, you ever heard of a drink called the Swanky Panky?

I finally found a place that offers sweetbteads. Finally. Only I wanted more of them because they were absolutely delicious. The entrees were also tasty and paired well with Patagōn's extensive wine and cocktail offerings. The staff was great, and the location to the theater was terrific. I think the only negative was the end price. We didn't get anything crazy, but still ended up spending over $200 for two people.

We are here three times while staying in the hotel so this review takes into account three experiences. Patagon is an Argentinian inspired restaurant located on the ground floor of the Hilton Charter hotel about two blocks from Pike Place Market. We ate breakfast twice and both times had a very good experience. The restaurant takes reservations on Opentable but there was rarely a host so you can just walk in and choose a table. The food was very good. The salmon Benedict and the oatmeal were highlights. The continental breakfast includes coffee and gives you a few choices of items which is nice. The service at breakfast (I think he'd name was Mary) was excellent as well. The only thing that was odd is that even though I ordered the salmon Benedict with salad twice, they were quite different from each other. The first day, the Benedict had no sesame seeds or dill and the second day it did. And the second day, the salad had no sundried tomatoes but on day 1, it didn't. Not sure why the dishes aren't consistent, but the ideal situation is that they would be. Unfortunately, our evening visit wasn't as stellar. We went in for something light at around 8:45 (the restaurant closes at 9pm) and we're seated right away. We ordered the calamari and lamb empanadas ($15 for three really small empanadas of about 2 bites each). The service was not good. Our server disappeared. We ran out of water so I eventually walked to bus station and got the pitcher and refilled our waters myself. The calamari was only room temperature when it was finally brought to us and very soggy so I suspect it sat in the window for awhile while our server was who knows where... someone else brought out the empanadas which were good (and hot) but overpriced. Prior to the evening experience I would have given a four star review. Something else to note-- the establishment adds a mandatory 20% service charge to your bill. We consistently tip 20%( more if the server goes above and beyond) but don't appreciate it being forced on us. The mandatory tip is probably why the night service was so poor-- why bother being attentive and refilling glasses when you're guaranteed a tip and you can spend that time doing side work instead? If you're staying at the hotel, you can apply the cost of food as well as the service charge toward your resort fee btw. Also note, this restaurant closes early (9pm most nights and 5pm on Sundays).

We came here pretty often while were were staying in Seattle. Just a heads up, this restaurant is connected to another hotel (Charter Hotel). There's an urban development tax where you have to pay the hotel $25 a night. However, they do give it to you back in credit here. This place is a great way to spend some of those credits. Here are a few of the favorite dishes we tried: Forager's Fritatta - a baked egg dish with mushrooms (diced really small so it's hard to see) and sundried tomatoes. This is such a refreshing twist on an omelet. Eggs Neptune - Decent option as well. It's a take on the eggs benedict, but stuffed with crab Boysenberry French Toast - this was by far my favorite meal here. Sweet, perfectly caramelized. One of the things I did like about this is that they make it with whole grains and find ways to add additional protein into the meal. IG: @QueenOfAdventureNYC

Patagōn - located inside the Charter Hotel - sports a clean, modern look, enthusiastic and friendly staff, and a self-serve coffee bar for those waiting in the entrance queue. Though it builds on its Argentine roots, most of the Sunday offerings are now the typical brunch fate available in a dozen places within a few blocks. The pastries were fresh, tasty, and worth the visit. Sadly, that which got me waiting through the queue, the Chorizo Biscuit (Argentine chorizo, fried egg, manchego, and a chimichurri hollandaise), is not currently on offer. That was a combination of flavors I was most eagerly anticipating. Please bring it back!

We were looking for a place for breakfast saw this place and decided to try it. We were greeted and sat down quickly. Coffee was brought over right away and the waiter took our order. I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and truffle sauce and my wife had the special breakfast. Service was very attentive and warm. My eggs were over cooked, however I brought it to the waiter's attention and they quickly made them again and perfectly done.

Don't skip this tasty restaurant!! The food was delicious, but the service is what really sold us on this place. Our Server Mary was the absolute best!! She was attentive, and her interactions with us were top tier. She also remembered us the next day and even gave our little one goodies. She is what made this place memorable for us. We stayed at the Charter hotel, and this was probably the best part of our stay since it's right down stairs!

I grabbed a quick breakfast at Patagon while I was staying at the Charter Hotel. I opted for the standard fare: Eggs Benedict. Nice hollandaise sauce, potatoes were a nice change from hash browns. Coffee was solid -- strong. Service was very attentive. Mandatory 20% service fee. I enjoyed dining at this restaurant. Classy place to enjoy breakfast while staying at the Charter Hotel.

What a wonderful surprise spot in Seattle! We were looking for a brunch spot and when the first one we picked didn't work out we randomly selected to pop in here and we were so happy! We sat at the bar and got breakfast meals with eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. My husband got a Bloody Mary and I got some mocktails. Everything was delicious! The breakfast was so tasty, especially the potatoes and toast with cinnamon butter. The bartender was so kind and personable. He came up with interesting mocktails for me and engaged in some wonderful conversations with us. I'm so glad we ended up here!

When I was recently in Seattle, I was looking for a breakfast place, within walking distance, that was close to my hotel. While it sure was a good several blocks, I sought this place because of their small but interesting menu. The restaurant is within the Charter Hotel in downtown Seattle. Walking in, one finds an elegant minimal decor. First we ordered the Foragers Frittata (wild mushrooms, preserved tomato, smoked buffalo mozzarella, Beecher's flagship). Second choice was Eggs Neptune (English muffin, Dungeness crab, spinach, tomato, poached eggs, Hollandaise). Both dishes were accompanied with Rosemary potatoes. Both dishes were good in their main parts. That is the frittata, and the eggs were prepared well. Except for the very small amounts of crab in the Eggs Neptune dish. What was disappointing was the Rosemary potatoes. They were a mixture of regular and purple fingerling potatoes that were baked. Both the dishes had most of their potatoes burnt. After alerting the server to this matter, they baked us a fresh batch, which came out half burned. Coffee was excellent (I drank four cups) and the service very friendly and attentive.

Coffee ( not on the menu but $5) The only edible thing here.

The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the Caesar salad. They prepare it fresh right at your table, which is fun to watch, but for my taste, it's a bit too fishy because of the amount of anchovies they use. That's just a personal preference, though. We decided to stop in for a Saturday lunch and knew we were in for a treat as soon as we pulled up as the smell of charred meat wafted through the vents outside. We arrived right when they opened and we were the first party through the door. Surprisingly, it didn't get very crowded at all through our meal - even at noon there were only three other parties. Service was stellar, especially since there weren't many customers to deal with. The waiter continuously checked in with us and we never wanted for anything. Shortly after being led to our table, the waiter brought over a fresh tray of garnishes for our water, including lime, lemon, orange, mint, and cucumber. What a great touch! We then got a flight of four salsa accompaniments. The first being a pickled onion, interestingly tasting kind of like ginger and soy sauce with a slight sweetness that compliments the vinegar base. The second was a typical pico de gallo mix, but with a totally different spice mixture. I'm not entirely sure what's in it, but it's more than just the typical salt. The third was a light and refreshing avocado based salsa, while the last was a sharp tangy and spicy salsa, light molasses in color, and flecked with black and white specks. A charred tomato base, perhaps? Papa Loca ($19.99) - Asadero prime provides a HUGE potato, one of the largest that I've ever seen. I'm wondering how they even source these - I've never seen anything this big at farmers markets or at grocery stores. Anyway, it's baked to absolute perfection. The skin-on exterior leaves a tiny crisp, but the interior is so soft and fluffy it almost feels like mashed potato in texture. The potato is served steaming hot and it's scored with two long knife strokes, allowing the cornucopia of toppings to penetrate into the depths of the starchy masterpiece. The toppings include some baked potato classics - the decadent sour cream, the melty, fatty blend of cheeses, and of course the meat - bacon and Wagyu carne asada. The carne asada is cut into little niblets. Rather than an entire steak as with the entrees, I believe they use off cuts and trimmings here, as I found the meat to be somewhat sinewy and fatty, making it hard to chew on. It has great char flavor though! (4.5/5) La Carne Asada ($35.99) - The dish first comes with a large pieces of thinly cut carne asada. It's cooked until well done, but is still tender and is great quality with all the gristly bits trimmed off. It's simple and flavorful but with one issue - it came to the table already lukewarm in temperature. For the proteins, there's also a small chorizo sausage. It's heavily spiced, soft and coarse, lacking emulsification, in texture. It falls apart easily when removed from the case. For the veggies, there's a slightly charred green chile with a spice that builds. It's mostly raw, only the skin is charred just a bit to be able to flake off. Similarly, there's a large green onion that lightly charred, crisp and fresh in spicy allium flavor. Finally, there's a chile relleno with a simple green chile cut in half and filled with broiled, melty cheese. Yum! The two side accompanies come in little cups. The first is a refried bean sauce which I disliked immensely. It's drippy, watery in texture and it tastes overwhelmingly of lard. I wouldn't be surprised if it were at least 50% lard. The second cup is a salsa that looks somewhat similar to the fourth salsa in the flight but tastes completely different. It's smoky and mild with a fire roasted tomato base. An order also comes with four tortillas, with a choice of either corn or flour. The corn tortillas are hand made in house while the flour ones are purchased. It's obvious which one to go with. The corn tortillas are soft and easily foldable without breaking, fresh and spongy. They don't give enough for the amount of meat though! (4.5/5) Both dishes we ordered had some minor issues, but overall they were delicious. I can't say I go all the way down to Kent very often, but luckily Asadero has another location in Ballard I can visit if I ever get another craving for Mexican influenced steaks. Omg I saw empanadas and I was immediately hooked! I had the mushroom and cheese and it was warm,…read morefresh, ooey-gooey goodness! I loved it so much I went back again and ordered the same thing! Lol. If you're an empanada lover, this little hidden gem is a must-visit. It's tucked inside Pike Place Market and doubles as a small Latin grocery, stocked with sauces, spices, and other goodies from all over Latin America. Service is fast and friendly, and everything feels super authentic and homey. Just a little FYI: the yellow sauce isn't free, they charge $2 for it, so plan accordingly if you love dipping like I do! Perfect for a quick bite while exploring the market or grabbing a few specialty ingredients to take home.

Seattle (overpriced) Empanadas in Pike Place Market [Seattle WA]…read more Saw the empanadas in a glass case while navigating our way through the crowded Pike Place Market. It was a busy Thanksgiving weekend. They are located across the Farmers Market. Got two each of the beef and chicken empanadas. They are both tasty and delicious with lots of flavors but they are unreasonably priced at $8 a piece which wasn't stated anywhere on their menu board and only got the shock when I paid for them but the beef is made with lean ground organic beef and the chicken with organic shredded chicken breasts. Maybe that's why? I dunno, organic tends to be more expensive. Each beef or chicken empanada was garnished with onions, garlic, olives, pimientos, raisins, eggs, red & green bell peppers, some yummy spices and sauteed in olive oil and butter... that's a lot of stuff crammed in those empanadas. They also have salmon empanadas and ham and cheese empanadas. I'd probably get my empanadas elsewhere but this was the touristy Pike Place after all. Review #3615
