This spot exceeded my expectations! The staff was friendly and welcoming. They only had one chef working that night, so service was a bit slow, but we totally understood and appreciated their effort. Cocktails were excellent--especially the mixed berry Moscow mule, which had a subtle berry flavor with just a hint of vanilla. I ordered the Land & Sea, and it was fantastic. The filet was incredibly tender, and the porcini demi-glace added a rich, savory depth that paired perfectly with the steak. The mashed potatoes were creamy and satisfying. One thing to note: there's a 20% service charge automatically added to the bill (not including tip), which does make the meal pricier. I was here a few weeks ago on a work trip and stayed at the adjoining hotel. Sat here for a little bit while waiting for my room to be ready. The area was large and work friendly with plenty of space to plug in and set up your laptop. The bartenders were super nice and helpful, so I decided to come back for lunch the following day. They have a brunch menu that's really good. I had the avocado toast, which was a very large portion and delicious. They even let me sub the potatoes for the fries, which was awesome. I marked down the address and we proceeded to catch the monorail and walk to Patagon. When we got there, the restaurant seemed really nice and trendy. There was an open air kitchen and the food looked pretty good. Unfortunately after this, everything went downhill. First off, our waitress look "wasted" and didn't seem very personable. That's fine, but after we ordered coffee and asked for cream, she never came back! We had to ask another server for cream which he brought immediately. Her recommendation wasn't that good either. Eggs Benedict with prosciutto sounded promising, but in reality was ok. It looked ok, but the flavor wasn't really there. I added tabasco to liven up the taste but overall, kind of disappointing. The potatoes were pretty good though. After the lackluster service, we heard our waitress emit a loud "F__K" while she was complaining about something. The food runner took our food to the wrong table and the server never came up to us and acknowledged it at all. I finally found a place that offers sweetbteads. Finally. Only I wanted more of them because they were absolutely delicious. The entrees were also tasty and paired well with Patagōn's extensive wine and cocktail offerings. The staff was great, and the location to the theater was terrific. We are here three times while staying in the hotel so this review takes into account three experiences. Patagon is an Argentinian inspired restaurant located on the ground floor of the Hilton Charter hotel about two blocks from Pike Place Market. We ate breakfast twice and both times had a very good experience. The restaurant takes reservations on Opentable but there was rarely a host so you can just walk in and choose a table. The food was very good. The salmon Benedict and the oatmeal were highlights. The continental breakfast includes coffee and gives you a few choices of items which is nice. The service at breakfast (I think he'd name was Mary) was excellent as well. The only thing that was odd is that even though I ordered the salmon Benedict with salad twice, they were quite different from each other. The first day, the Benedict had no sesame seeds or dill and the second day it did. And the second day, the salad had no sundried tomatoes but on day 1, it didn't. Not sure why the dishes aren't consistent, but the ideal situation is that they would be. Unfortunately, our evening visit wasn't as stellar. We went in for something light at around 8:45 (the restaurant closes at 9pm) and we're seated right away. We ordered the calamari and lamb empanadas ($15 for three really small empanadas of about 2 bites each). The service was not good. Our server disappeared. We ran out of water so I eventually walked to bus station and got the pitcher and refilled our waters myself. The calamari was only room temperature when it was finally brought to us and very soggy so I suspect it sat in the window for awhile while our server was who knows where... someone else brought out the empanadas which were good (and hot) but overpriced. Prior to the evening experience I would have given a four star review. Something else to note-- the establishment adds a mandatory 20% service charge to your bill. We consistently tip 20%( more if the server goes above and beyond) but don't appreciate it being forced on us. The mandatory tip is probably why the night service was so poor-- why bother being attentive and refilling glasses when you're guaranteed a tip and you can spend that time doing side work instead? If you're staying at the hotel, you can apply the cost of food as well as the service charge toward your resort fee btw. Also note, this restaurant closes early (9pm most nights and 5pm on Sundays). read more

We came here pretty often while were were staying in Seattle. Just a heads up, this restaurant is connected to another hotel (Charter Hotel). There's an urban development tax where you have to pay the hotel $25 a night. However, they do give it to you back in credit here. This place is a great way to spend some of those credits. Here are a few of the favorite dishes we tried: Forager's Fritatta - a baked egg dish with mushrooms (diced really small so it's hard to see) and sundried tomatoes. This is such a refreshing twist on an omelet. Eggs Neptune - Decent option as well. It's a take on the eggs benedict, but stuffed with crab Boysenberry French Toast - this was by far my favorite meal here. Sweet, perfectly caramelized. Though it builds on its Argentine roots, most of the Sunday offerings are now the typical brunch fate available in a dozen places within a few blocks. The pastries were fresh, tasty, and worth the visit. Sadly, that which got me waiting through the queue, the Chorizo Biscuit (Argentine chorizo, fried egg, manchego, and a chimichurri hollandaise), is not currently on offer. When I was recently in Seattle, I was looking for a breakfast place, within walking distance, that was close to my hotel. While it sure was a good several blocks, I sought this place because of their small but interesting menu. The restaurant is within the Charter Hotel in downtown Seattle. Walking in, one finds an elegant minimal decor. First we ordered the Foragers Frittata (wild mushrooms, preserved tomato, smoked buffalo mozzarella, Beecher's flagship). Second choice was Eggs Neptune (English muffin, Dungeness crab, spinach, tomato, poached eggs, Hollandaise). Both dishes were accompanied with Rosemary potatoes. Both dishes were good in their main parts. That is the frittata, and the eggs were prepared well. Except for the very small amounts of crab in the Eggs Neptune dish. What was disappointing was the Rosemary potatoes. They were a mixture of regular and purple fingerling potatoes that were baked. Both the dishes had most of their potatoes burnt. After alerting the server to this matter, they baked us a fresh batch, which came out half burned. Coffee was excellent (I drank four cups) and the service very friendly and attentive. read more

Update: The business never reached out despite their comment below. I messaged them on Yelp and left 3 voicemails in addition to giving my number to the person I spoke with, so it's not like they couldn't get me. This happened in March. It's now the end of May. There has been plenty of time to "investigate". I would have happily removed this review or updated it positively had they actually reached out privately vs just making it seem like they're attending to it publicly. If a business is running the administrative side this poorly I'd hate to see what's happening with food and cleanliness throughout. I tried scraping off the organe goo to try the pancake: which was soggy over the top sugary gross mess. Who is actually letting these dishes be served??? I left the whole thing there: the server said it's on the house when I sent it back. I mean I didn't touch it, or eat it. I'm glad it was on the house. She asked if we were hotel guests, which I said no. But she only brought us a bill for room charge. Later had to change it and redo/ sign the whole thing: took 20 -25 minutes too long extra. A messy crappy sandwich ( or Choripan) and 2 cups of coffee with 20% gratuity already added came out to 1.5 hours too long of my time, parking we paid for on the street and absolute worst meal that should've never been served to anyone. And you CANT USE HOTEL RESTAURANT as an excuse!! My favorite- regular brunch spots are right next door that I come weekly for. Literally! I'll preface this review with a reminder that 3 stars means "It's okay" as I share the critical details. Ambiance of the restaurant is decent but seating is mostly tables, very few booths. Service was friendly but minimal touch, and there were very few patrons dining on a Wed night. I started with the Chili Rubbed Pork Belly, and when delivered my server informed me "It should really be called Brussel Sprouts and some Pork Belly", and he was absolutely right. It would have been nice to know at the time of ordering that the primary advertised ingredient comprised only 10% of the dish. It was a very good appetizer if you're interested in brussel sprouts, and I was disappointed at the misrepresentation because I came here for meat. They really want to you order your steak rare - when I chose the NY Strip my server asked, "Medium Rare?" to which I replied "Medium, please" and it ended up being just a touch above rare to be classified as medium. It was very tender and juicy, but lacking any significant flavor. For being cooked over wood fire there really wasn't any fired or smoked flavor, nor any salt or other seasoning. Two spears of asparagus are just enough to garnish the plate with a touch of green, and again not seasoned at all. The scoop of garlic mashed potatoes was the only item on the plate to include salt. Serving a steak in a deep-lipped bowl/plate isn't the best choice for a meal you need to access with both utensils. This could be an acceptable place to eat if you're staying in the hotel, but I woulnd't go out of my way to come here otherwise. read more

Instead of your traditional Benedict on English muffin with a side of breakfast potatoes, they made the potatoes into a cake and served the Benedict. Perfect. So that was a bummer, overall it was an Okay experience, the thing that bothered us on our way out was when we paid the bill, it was only the credit card receipt that was needed to be signed, and not our itemized receipt. Honestly I'm not a big fan of restaurants which are inside of a hotel. I find the ambiance very cold usually. I made a reservation here because I was going to see a show at Moore and this place looked promising on Yelp. The guy at the door was little awkward. He gave us a hard time because we were 10 minutes late to our reservation even though the place was not busy clearly. The service was also pretty slow. We had Wagyu steaks but nothing special, just the name.i think I had high expectations because I read that it's Argentinian but nothing to do with that. We live in next door building and that day weather was really bad so we decided to try happy hour at Patagon. We ordered oysters, wine, mushroom sandwich, smoked ribs and poutine. Unfortunately all we like it was oysters and wine. My husband said his ribs tasted burnt, poutine fries were soggy and overcooked, my mushroom sandwich was awful! Long story short: truly excellent steak, marred by truly terrible service A few weeks ago, our group of seven came to eat dinner. Everyone made sure to order something, but only five of us were particularly hungry. I had lobster ravioli, two of our party ordered steak (a 12oz NY strip and the Filet), two had soup, sweet potato fries and salad, and the last two had already eaten and so ordered an appetizer (each just ordered fries). Our waiter, Stephen (the arbiter of our poor evening), was immediately and visibly put off that two members of our party weren't ordering mains, and that no one was ordering alcohol. I was the last member of the party that placed my order, and he said 'Let me guess - just water?' when asking about my drink, and chuckled to himself when I said I don't drink. After our order was placed, Stephen did not return for the entire thirty minutes until our food was finished - not even to refill our waters. We came in around six o'clock, but the place was very empty - he seemed to only have one other table, a two-top, that he went back to no less than five times in the intervening thirty minutes. Eventually our food came - Stephen did not bring it, that was handled by other staff, who were all quite polite - and after a few minutes, Stephen eventually arrived again. Our two party members who ordered soup didn't have spoons, so he went and got some. This would all be fine, if there wasn't an automatic 20% tip put on all parties of six or more. Essentially, our waiter was a dick because two members of our party didn't order mains and because we didn't order alcohol. I would recommend ANYONE: do NOT come to this restaurant. They do not care about giving you a good experience; they want your money, that's really it, and if every individual member of your party isn't 'spending enough', they straight up just won't come back to your table, except to drop off the bill. If you are someone who doesn't care about service, then I'd recommend the steak. I did get to sample both steaks and they were genuinely wonderful. The NY strip in particular melts in your mouth. My lobster ravioli wasn't bad, just not worth $36+Tax+Tip. read more

I loved my experience here both times! The food and the service was amazing each time :) The restaurant interior is very beautiful and sophisticated. I love the bar area and love that they have a huge open kitchen. You can eat at the kitchen bar and watch the Chefs cook, which we really enjoyed! The head Chef was super friendly and nice and he talked to us a lot about all of their different dishes and answered any questions we had about the menu! They source most of their ingredients locally which is a big big plus! We tried several things on the menu and loved all the dishes! We got the Rib Eye steak which is about 2 lbs (boneless!) and it was so good. The chimichurri sauce that it comes with was extremely flavorful and delicious. Hands down the best chimichurri we've had. We also got the duck dish which was on point. The duck was cooked perfectly! Our favorite appetizer we tried was the Crab Empanada. All the drinks were delicious as well -- not too sweet and not too strong and perfectly balanced. We'll definitely be coming back for more. We had breakfast at Patagonia. It was American breakfast but with a few nuances that made it interesting and tasty. I had scrambled eggs with Apple chicken sausage, toast and country potatoes. It was served with red jam which tasted delicious on the toast. The potatoes were cooked well and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese, which made them a tad salty. The ladies who served us were very warm and friendly. My wife's vegetarian scramble had some unique ingredients and the cheese on it was incredible. All in all a great experience. A bit on the higher side in terms of price but we appreciated the quality, service and reasonable (not too much) portions which were perfect for us. The ambiance is great! read more
