I've been a Patelco customer for a few years. I had opened my account online and never really step foot into a branch. Recently my car started to take a nose dive and I knew it was time to buy something new. I had no idea what I would be able to finance. I decided to stop by a Patelco branch on my lunch break just to see what my options were with them. I walked in and was very warmly greeted by Sabrina. Knowing that I was on my lunch, she got what she needed from me, and sent me next door to grab a bite. When I came back she had everything drawn up that I needed. She took her time and explained all the numbers and options. Then even gave me a few tips on how to bargain with the sales guys at the dealer for a good price. I have never bought a brand new car before and had always purchased my past cars with my dad. Sabrina's warmth and generosity of knowledge gave me the confidence to walk into a dealer and push to get what I wanted and not settle. Having a pre-approved loan at a great rate in my back pocket also helped. If I have any banking questions or needs in the future I'm definitely going back to her. Thank you Sabrina! read more

I recently had my car broken into where they took my LV bag, almost a thousand dollars in textbooks and my MacBook which has my life on it. Then a week ago all these charges cleared my bank account at Patelco. The only thing I could connect was my iCloud on my Mac and all the information I have saved on it could help someone access my everything. Well, I need textbooks Monday and no provisional credit yet so I contacted the dispute services she advised that I contact patelco to expedite it because they can take 10 days. Well they refused to expedite it and said they were going to wait the full ten days. So I'm out $1800 for another week with no textbooks. Horrible horrible service. Deposited two check in the outside ATM about two weeks later I looked at my bank statement and the checks did not show up on the statement. Went to the bank to see what happened and was told I had entered the wrong PIN number I asked why it didn't tell me I had entered the wrong pin, they said if I looked at the receipt in small letters it did. Thinking everything was good I shredded the checks I know that was a mistake but not knowing anything was wrong I did. Now I have to go to the people and get a new check explain what happened, hopefully they don't think I'm trying to rip them off. I don't need a bank that is that lame. read more

So patelco just took my money without consulting me to fix an old acquaintances account because she can't seem to manage her myself. They did so and had the audacity to tell me that they could do that. So essentially my money doesn't truly belong to me. I have never been so angry in my entire life. I feel violated. If they don't fix this. Not only will I pull my money and close my accounts, I will consult a lawyer and deal with this. I wish I could give less then a one star rating... read more

This is the best Patelco Branch in my experience. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The Manager Mr Montgomery is a very down to earth humble man. Miss Irena and Miss Isabella are very detail oriented and have excellent customer service and support. I hope the other branches can learn from them. Good job guys. I usually come to this location to do my shared service center banking since it is close to where I stay. It is almost never crowded and the staff is always friendly. Parking is usually not a hassle, but the other stores in the shopping center (Sport Clips, Chipotle and Panera Bread) do get crowded. Customer service is excellent. If I wasn't happy with my current bank, I'd definitely consider switching here. read more

Never try to go to the bank during the lunch time rush. With Panera Bread and Chipotle sharing the same parking lot, it's a mess.

Customer service is outstanding at all Patelco's...but This location is extra special. Sabrina makes us feel so welcome, and greets my husband and me with a hug. I went to a different Patelco in Castro Valley in the past for a car loan. This time, I went to one in Dublin, since it's near my work, to get a loan for a lease buyout. Everything was pretty smooth. I spoke w/ Christian who was very helpful. She took care of all the paperwork, and explained everything clearly. I love the cheap 1.99% rate I got as well (of course mileage will vary based on your credit). I setup an appointment first btw (recommended), and the whole process took about 1 hour only. I highly recommend Patelco for your loan needs! read more

Every time I have gone in, I have never had to wait to see a teller. In addition, there is a play area inside that my son likes to go to while I go and cash/deposit checks into my account. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The best part is that I get free checking with interest and never have to fill out a deposit slip. read more

I love this branch, I've been a member for quite a few years...they are always cheerful, chatty and helpful, but today put the cherry on top! I had come into the branch to make a deposit and realized I didn't have my card with me. Now that means one of two things - it's lost or it's in a pair of pants at home. So the teller placed a hold on my account but did not cancel my account, she flagged to make sure no unauthorized charges could be made until I could go home and check to see if in fact I still have the card.She was still there at the credit union, I managed to get back before closing at six and indeed my ATM card was in the wash. This branch always seems to go the extra mile to make you happy and keep you safe! I just want to say thank you to Isabel, Ivy, Carl, David, and Irena. The tellers here are superb and I have always received amazing customer service- the only reason I am giving 3 stars over 1. Today I needed to talk to a personal banker and left in tears. First of all I got no greeting walked in and had no idea where to go so I approached the first person I saw at a desk. Instead of a how can I help you I got a blank stare until I finally said I need some help with my Ira. I got an eye roll and a well, are you going to take a seat (a sure I'd be happy to help you would have been nice). She then proceeded to type type type on her computer (never asked for id btw) and said she couldn't help me that she needed to talk to her manager. So I said that's ok I'll wait for someone else but she kept typing and giving me conflicting information than that from customer service. Further she never had her manager to come out to talk to me, I was willing to wait! I found the constant instant messaging completely unprofessional and impersonal. I got the sense that no one knew what they were doing and I didn't want this transaction messed up so I took all my paperwork (that customer service had told me to bring in) and went outside to call customer service in complete tears. Wish I would have written down her name. A very sympathetic helpful man took my call and I will be dealing with Patelco by fax/mail going forward. read more

I am a new Patelco customer because I was looking to refinance my car. A friend told me about Patelco and they dropped my payment down $10 a month but I was able to buy a 100,000 mile extended warranty with that!
