**Never have I had such a disappointing experience at a dealership.** I visited Dublin Kia to purchase a used Acura MDX. From my very first visit, it felt like the dealership had little interest in actually selling the vehicle. The overall customer service was indifferent, and I had to follow up repeatedly throughout the process. Once I decided to purchase the car, the experience only got worse. I even agreed to buy their mandatory **StarGard** package for an additional **$999** without negotiating the vehicle's asking price or trying to bargain over anything else. At the very least, I expected the car to be delivered in excellent condition. The vehicle wasn't even properly cleaned for the test drive. After repeatedly reminding the staff to detail it before delivery, I was assured they wouldn't let me leave without doing so. Unfortunately, what they called a "detail" was nothing more than a basic car wash and a quick vacuum. The car was still dirty inside and out. I've attached photos showing the condition of the vehicle when it was delivered. To make matters worse, the car wasn't even delivered with a full tank of gas. For a purchase of $40,000-$50,000, filling the gas tank seems like a basic courtesy that many dealerships provide. It reflected a level of carelessness and disregard for the customer that was extremely disappointing. The financing process was equally frustrating. Despite having excellent credit, the finance manager initially quoted me a much higher interest rate and claimed it was the best available. Then, after I agreed to purchase additional packages, he suddenly said, *"Oh, I can get the interest rate even lower since you are nice people."* That immediately made me question whether I had been given an honest offer in the first place. Financing should be based on creditworthiness, not on whether a customer agrees to buy add-ons. Buying a car is already a major financial decision. It shouldn't feel like you're constantly being pressured into unnecessary products or wondering whether you're being taken advantage of. I expected professionalism, transparency, and basic customer care. Unfortunately, I experienced none of those at Dublin Kia. Experiences like this are exactly why people have such little trust in car dealerships. Instead of building long-term relationships through honesty and transparency, this process felt focused on extracting as much money as possible from the customer. I have two Kia Forte GT-Line vehicles in my family--a 2023 and a 2024--and I've brought both to Dublin Kia for service. Unfortunately, every visit has left me with the same negative impression. The customer service experience starts the moment you walk into the service department. The service advisors rarely make eye contact, don't greet customers, and seem more interested in staring at their computer screens than acknowledging people standing in front of them. It's not a welcoming environment. During my most recent visit, I brought in my 2023 Forte GT-Line for routine service. I was also advised to have a wheel alignment performed, which I approved. When I returned to pick up the vehicle, I stood at the service counter for nearly five minutes without anyone acknowledging me. After paying a bill of over $300, I discovered the car hadn't even been washed. The advisor ran outside and asked if I had time to wait for a wash, but by then I had already decided to leave. The real problem started when I got on the freeway. At around 60 mph, the front end developed a violent vibration that made the car feel unsafe to drive. I immediately called the dealership and returned the vehicle. When I asked whether the car had been test-driven after the alignment, another service advisor told me, "No, we do not test drive." I was shocked. How do you perform suspension or alignment work without verifying the results with a road test? They later determined that one of the wheels was bent and couldn't be properly balanced. My frustration is that no one contacted me before I returned to pick up the vehicle to explain the issue or discuss replacement options. Instead, I arrived expecting a repaired car only to be told they had performed a "full diagnostic" that I neither requested nor authorized. I had simply asked for the wheels to be balanced. Repeated Service Department Communication Failures Cost Me Time and Income I am extremely disappointed with the repeated lack of communication from the service department. Most recently, I had an 11:00 a.m. appointment and drove from Brentwood to the dealership, only to be informed upon arrival that my vehicle would not be completed until the end of the day and might not be completed at all. I was told I might have to return on another day because different departments were not communicating effectively with each other. Had someone contacted me before I made the trip, I could have adjusted my schedule. Instead, I lost valuable work time and was left waiting with no clear answers. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. During a previous service visit, I waited for hours without receiving any updates. When I finally checked on the status of my vehicle, I was told the work would not be completed because the shop was too busy. Once again, a simple phone call could have prevented hours of wasted time. I understand that delays happen. Parts can be delayed, schedules can change, and unexpected issues arise. My complaint is not about delays--it is about the repeated failure to communicate those delays until after customers have already made the drive or spent hours waiting. As a real estate appraiser, I am paid per assignment. The time lost due to these service appointments has cost me well over $1,000 in missed income opportunities, not to mention the inconvenience and frustration. I want to acknowledge that the front desk staff were professional and appeared to be doing their best. The problem seems to be a systemic communication issue within the service department rather than the fault of any individual employee. I have requested that my part be transferred to the Manteca location so the repair can be completed there, as I have lost confidence in the service process at this dealership. One additional concern is the condition of the shuttle vehicle. The van is in poor condition, with heating and air conditioning that frequently do not work properly. It rattles excessively and has even broken down during one of my visits. This creates an uncomfortable experience for customers and cannot be pleasant for the driver, especially during extreme weather. It also reflects poorly on the dealership. It would seem more appropriate to use a newer vehicle from the dealership's inventory, which would provide a safer and more comfortable experience while also showcasing the products you sell. My car had been experiencing issues where when I drove it, it made me sick. Headaches, Nausea, Dizziness, Blurred Vision, and almost passing out at the wheel. This happened mostly when I had the AC on. I first had it towed to Concord Kia with the end result on invoice " Unable to verify problem". Upon driving it home to Brentwood on the freeway I became ill and almost crashed. When I got home I decided to take it a mile down the road to a place called Brake Busters where they were 100% able to verify the problem but couldn't find where it was coming from upon performing leak tests. After consulting with Brake Busters, I was advised that the best course of action would be to take my vehicle to the dealership I purchased the vehicle from which was Dublin Kia. I purchased my vehicle on November 23, 2025. I arranged for the vehicle to be towed there on March 13, 2026. The tow truck driver who arrived was the same individual who had previously towed my vehicle to Concord Kia. He expressed surprise that the vehicle required towing again and asked why the issue had not yet been resolved. I explained that the dealership had been unable to determine the cause of symptoms I experience while driving the vehicle. The driver also stated that while loading the car onto the tow truck, he personally began to feel unwell. This was particularly concerning, as it suggests that individuals outside of the dealership environment are able to perceive the issue, whereas dealership personnel have not acknowledged it. Upon arrival at Dublin Kia, I spoke with a representative on Friday, March 13, 2026. I provided a detailed explanation of the vehicle's behavior and the physical symptoms I experience while operating it. During this interaction, the representative appeared primarily focused on informing me of a $225 diagnostic fee. He also repeatedly suggested that the issue could be caused by rodent damage (e.g., rats chewing through components), which would result in the repair not being covered under warranty. Over the weekend, I received a call from Dublin Kia stating that they were unable to "verify the customer's concern at this time." As a result, I arranged for the vehicle to be towed again on Monday, March 16, 2026, to another dealership. On March 16, 2026, I spoke with an individual named Andrew. Prior to this, I had attempted to communicate multiple times via text with the Service Advisor, Martin Tostado, using the number listed on my invoice. Andrew claimed that no such messages were received; however, I have retained records of these communications. During my discussion with Andrew, I expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of detailed documentation regarding the inspection and testing of my vehicle. Although I was told that technicians had driven the vehicle approximately 20 miles, this did not appear consistent with the trip mileage reflected in my Kia application. When I asked what specific procedures the technicians performed inside the vehicle, Andrew provided a general explanation. I then asked whether there was any documentation from the technicians confirming that these procedures were actually completed. He stated that there was none and acknowledged that he was relying solely on verbal confirmation from the technicians. I further questioned whether, if technicians were testing for carbon monoxide exposure, they would reasonably conduct such testing with the vehicle's windows closed, given the potential health risks. Andrew responded by stating that carbon monoxide entering a vehicle's cabin does not occur, which I believe to be inaccurate. Finally, Andrew informed me that no additional notes or modifications could be added to the service invoice, as it had already been closed. 4/27/26 After all this time and after Concord, Dublin, and Hayward all sending me away with an invoice that says "Unable to verify problem" and also treating me like I was some sort of crazy, I decided to look at the vehicle myself. Starting from the back of the car and looking at every possible inch of the car and thinking outside the box I popped open the hook and started looking very closlely and to my susrprise I found plastic protective films that were left inside the engine area and even on the battery from when I purchased the car. Upon removing it all some pieces were even burnt which explained what was making me sick because this would be getting pulled into the cabin through AC. I spoke to Navi and I reqested a car detail to get any left over particles and also a inspection of the engine to make sure I didnt miss any. He told me I could bring my car in 4/28/26. I called multiple times on 4/27/26 trying to get a hold of a service manager. I left my name and number with people multiple times and no one would call back basically incinuationg they would not help me. I finally got a hold of the General Manager but due to treatment against myself who is disabled. I would rather pay someone out of pocket. read more

What an experience at Kia Dublin. If you're shopping here, be prepared for classic bait-and-switch tactics and a lot of backtracking once you're already invested in the process. The only positive was the vehicle price itself and even that came with strings attached. For transparency, the team I worked with: * Sales: Moe / Mohammed * Finance: Raymond * Sales Manager: Nav This started with a listing for a used 2026 vehicle advertised at 2,176 miles for $32,576. On paper, it looked like a great deal, so I came in for a test drive. The moment I turned the car on, the odometer read 3,900 miles, a nearly 1,800-mile discrepancy. When I asked about it, I was told it was due to "test drives and moving the car around the lot." After checking Edmunds, the vehicle had been on the lot for 11 days. Driving nearly 1,800 miles in that timeframe is not believable. I asked for a price adjustment and was told the best they could do was a detail and a full tank of gas. Moe did remove a nearly $2,000 Spartan retrieval fee that was supposedly "standard," which only raises more questions. I walked away for the day. The next morning, Moe said he'd tried everything with management but the price was firm. He mentioned he could help me out with maintenance instead. When I came back, that "help" turned out to be maintenance packages offered at cost, still something I had to pay for. I declined. After consulting a friend who's a district manager at Lexus, I agreed the price was still fair for the mileage and proceeded, with the understanding that all add-ons were removed and I'd receive a full tank of gas and a detail. During financing, the payment initially didn't work, so I left. Later, I was told they found a solution, by increasing my APR by 0.1% and extending the loan to 72 months. I planned to refinance anyway, so I moved forward. Paperwork was signed, and after about an hour, I was handed the keys. We take a photo, I get in the car... and the gas tank is half full. When I asked why, Moe said his manager wouldn't approve filling it. Nav then came out and told me they don't even fill used vehicles, and that the half tank was a "courtesy." Apparently, I should just be happy with the price. After going back and forth, Nav finally agreed to a free detail at a later date. At that point, I was done arguing and just wanted to leave. Based on how this transaction went, I have very little confidence they'll actually honor that promise, but I'll update this review if they do. Bottom line: Kia Dublin lists aggressive prices, but don't expect transparency, consistency, or follow-through. Promises change depending on who you're talking to, and everything seems to require pushing back. Constantly. Proceed with caution. Here's my experience. I went to the dealership because Kia was offering a low APR. I filled the application and was tol that I did not qualify for the low APR. Instead, I got a 9.0 % from B of A through the dealership I refinanced through my credit union at 4.59%. After a few months I checked my 3 credit bureaus and found out that Kia Financial never ran my credit. Most likely, the "buy rate" was 6.0% to the dealership and I was provided a 9.0%, thus earning the dealership more money. In additio, the finance office rushed me to sign the paperwork and they sneaked a dealer add on for $550.00. THE LESSONS: First, if there is a low APR from Kia, go to the Kia website and fill out a credit application. Before you sign anything, check each line carefully and don't let them rush you. read more

He had a positive attitude, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and most importantly, was never pushy. Update: About a week went by, and while I was in the process of connecting with another dealership's service department, I got a call back from Dublin Kia saying that my car had been approved under manufacturer warranty. Considering they already had all of my information in the system, I figured it might be a bit more efficient to take it back to them instead of going forward with the other dealer. Before I took my car back, I made sure to get a timeline and was given a summary of what they would repair and when they would likely be finished. I took it back on March 20th and was told it would be a week at best, but no later than March 31st. STEER CLEAR OF THIS DEALERSHIP AND EXTENDED WARRANTY!!! Since 2/17/2026 (41 days and STILL counting), my car has been at Dublin Kia, pending approval of my 100k/10yr warranty. My 2016 Optima engine suddenly seized at 97k miles without warning while I was driving to work. Stephen Neri, Service Advisor, initially stated that my "engine basically melted due to having no oil in the engine" and Kia was denying my powertrain warranty due to customer neglect, and stated I had to pay $6,884 for a new engine. I provided maintenance records to prove my last oil change was completed less than 4,000 miles ago. Dublin Kia stopped responding to my texts and avoided my phone calls. until I sent a "final notice" email. This is where the runaround really began.... The General Manager, Kamren, called me and asked me to send my maintenance records to show I have fulfilled my regular oil changes. Then the Service Manager, Andrew, separately called me a few minutes after requesting I provide my spark plug maintenance. I had to dig for records from 6+ years ago, and was luckily able to provide them. I was able to show that I completed my major mile services (45k, 60k, and so fourth) and recalls at a certified Kia dealership within a timely manner, and during those services, I requested for a full vehicle inspection and full maintenance performed. This included my spark plug inspection, however Andrew and his "representative" is denying this and stating that his "hands are tied" and I should reach out to Kia Consumer Affairs, which I did. While Kia Consumer Affairs has stated I am within and entitled to my 100k/10year warranty, and just need to change my maiden name to my married name to prove that I'm still the original owner, I am doing the best I can to manage without my vehicle, and with ZERO empathy or urgency from Kia. Instead, Andrew texted me while I am in an active discussion with Kia Consumer Affairs to come pick up my vehicle from their facility. Extremely frustrating experience with a recall appointment--plus a history of poor service. My wife brought in her 2019 Kia Sorento for the rearview camera recall (Recall No. SC282 / NHTSA 23V-639)--a known issue where the backup camera can fail due to water intrusion. She had a scheduled appointment, was told it would take about an hour and a half, and decided to wait at the dealership. After nearly two hours, she was told the visit was just an inspection, and that they didn't have the part in stock. She'd need to schedule a second appointment and come back again. At no point did they mention in advance that this would be a two-step process. It's a recall, not an unknown issue--they had the VIN and should have had the part ready. To make matters worse: * She took a day off work, which cost us money. * It's a 30-minute drive each way, so this also added an hour of driving to the waste of a day. Unfortunately, this isn't our first issue with Dublin Kia. A while back, I brought in a different vehicle for a free warranty inspection and asked them to check the oil plug. They told me it had a small drip, didn't fix it, and then charged me $250. It took a bit of complaining, but eventually I got my money back--the manager agreed I should have never been charged in the first place. read more

The absolute worst service department I've ever interacted with. I have been trying to get a recall done for weeks. After many attempts of getting ahold of someone, they told me they needed to order a part and would call me back when it arrived. They never called back. So now I've been trying to get ahold of them again for weeks. Their phone number goes to a call center that doesn't know anything. All they offer to do is send a message to the service department and have them call me back, but they never call back! I've even tried requesting an appointment through the Kia app and it tells me they'll reach out within a day, but they never call me. I honestly regret buying my car from this dealership. When my car was delivered, it was missing a part that was promised in my contract. I have proof -- both in writing and through text messages showing they agreed to include it. I've been going back and forth with one of the managers, Mohammed Nadir, for over a month now, and nothing has been done. He's been dismissive and even hung up on me during a call. Not once has anyone apologized or tried to make things right. I've been calling every single week since I bought the car, just trying to get what I was promised. I finally got a hold of the general manager, so we'll see if that goes anywhere. What really hurts is that as soon as they make the sale, they completely stop caring. The sales rep who sold me the car, Alex, actually blocked my number once I started asking about the missing part. I even have screenshots where he promised to deliver it -- and, of course, it never happened. This whole experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. From the first inquiry into the car, to valuing our trade in, and then finalizing paperwork so that we were in and out of the door, he made sure everything was taken care of. I brought my car in for transmission warranty work and it turned into a nightmare. It took the dealership over 3 months, during which they went through 3 different transmissions and 2 transmission ECUs. I was given my car back three separate times, each time with the issue unresolved. The service department was unhelpful, management never returned calls, and my service rep, Luis, had poor communication and constantly avoided giving straight answers. On top of that, the rental cars they provided were filthy--one had dirty tissues left inside, and another even had weed in it. To make matters worse, they removed and reinstalled my dash camera without asking, mounting it crooked on my tinted windshield. When I removed it, the tint was damaged. After calling them multiple times, they finally agreed to reimburse me for the windshield, but it should never have gotten to that point. Overall, Kia has shown they can't properly repair their own vehicles, and the service experience was unprofessional from start to finish. I highly recommend avoiding this dealership and learning from my mistake. read more

I want to give a huge shout-out to Moe at Dublin Kia. I initially worked with Justice, who helped me right away and took me on a test drive. Justice was great from the start and extremely easy to talk to. When it came time to discuss pricing, Justice brought another person in to go over the numbers with me. Unfortunately, that pricing conversation was where things went downhill. I was very clear about the price point I was comfortable with, and what came back was not even close. The interaction felt dismissive, and it came across as though my budget did not matter. This was not an issue with Justice at all, but with the person who stepped in for pricing. Because of that experience, I decided to walk away and was literally about to get into my car to head to another dealership. That is when Moe stepped in, and I am really glad he did. Moe took the time to actually listen to my concerns and suggested I look at the same vehicle in a different trim that would put it at a lower price point. I was hesitant at first, but he was genuinely kind, patient, and never pushy, so I agreed to take another look. After some back and forth, I ended up leaving with the vehicle I wanted, just with a few downgraded features that made the price work for me. Moe made the process easy and stress free, and I never felt pressured or brushed off. I would absolutely recommend both Justice and MOE if you are going to Dublin Kia. First off, understand it's a car dealership--there's going to be some back and forth. Naseem was our contact, he was friendly and helpful. He had the car we wanted to view ready when we arrived. No pressure, let us explore and talk without interruption. When we finally decided on the car, there was some negotiation, mostly because of standard dealer add-ons that we didn't want. There was a bit of miscommunication regarding the amount financed, but it was worked out and we got a lower rate through the dealer than our credit union offered. I was a bit disappointed with the exceptionally long wait to complete the transaction with the finance manager. We waited nearly 3.5 hours for a process that took about 5 minutes. The finance manager seemed tired and annoyed and ready to leave. The dealership was exceptionally busy (it was a Saturday), but that was still too long to wait. Overall, a pretty standard car buying experience. The dealership has a great selection and is well maintained. read more

We just bought a car today 12-31-2025, the white Honda accord hybrid. It was for my cousin. We spoke with the salesman Zia, he was good and informative, he was able to sell us the car at a negotiated price. And took our trade in. I don't have any negative issues that really bothered me here, it was fine for my experience. Best part is, being able to negotiate a price, instead of paying 30% or more on those "no brainer price" dealerships. People, stop wasting your hard earned money somewhere else more expensive, come here and check it out. Thank you to Kia of Dublin, and to the head management, please never go fixed price. Because being able to deal, means you want to work with your customers, not just "take it or leave it". It was awesome. I've purchased many cars over the years (different brands) and I'm happy with my new Kia, however as a public service, consider avoiding this specific Kia dealership. I went to this place on a recent weekend, met with the salesman (seemingly nice guy), was told that I could get a military veteran's discount if I supplied the necessary paperwork (DD214) and thus I went ahead and purchased the car. I found and then brought the DD214 to the dealership the next day, spoke to the "manager" that the salesman told me to give it to, he feigned ignorance about the whole matter but said he would forward it to "Kia" and then "get back to me". 2-3 months have passed by and nothing has been done. 1. I called / texted the salesman at least 3-4 times; he said he would "talk to the manager" and "get back to me"; has never gotten back to me on anything. 2. I called Kia corporate, who said they could contact the dealership and then get back to me; never got back to me. 3. I called Kia corporate again and said they couldn't do anything because it's an independent dealership but forward some "complaint". Bottomline: 1. This dealership appears to be a close knit family business, which is a good thing; the problem is, they appear to not care at all in re: customer service and especially appear to have no moral framework nor integrity as evidenced by their actions. 2. These liars give a bad name to the prototypical car salesman. 3. The Kia cars appear to be solid cars and a good value; just consider purchasing from a different dealership. read more

Amir "Junior" is one of the best dealers I've ever interacted with. From the get-go, he was welcoming and friendly without being overbearing. He showed us exactly what we were looking for without trying to upsell things we didn't need, and he was very willing to work with us and made it a point to reach out to when the dealership was offering a greater cash rebate to get it to our target price. He educated us about the EV9 and showed us why the features were better than other EVs on the market. The facility itself is really nice. Very well kept, clean, and spacious. Everyone on the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The night we picked up our car, Amir had the day off, so Bass took care of us and he did a wonderful job showing us the car and setting up some of the tech for us to access functions through our phones. The buying process was seamless. We are so happy with our new EV9 and would highly recommend Amir "Junior" to anyone looking for a new car.
