I came for brunch and it was not great. The French toast just had some flavor going on that just wasn't very appetizing. I have to say they're very generous with their bacon portions. Seven strips of bacon for one order I thought was very generous. However, it tasted like it came out of the microwave. Nothing negative to say about the staff they were on point and helpful. My waitress made a fantastic mimosa. It's a beautiful restaurant with big windows to look outside very much enjoyed sipping my mimosa this morning. Here's the deal...They got a banger of a deal when it comes to brunch- including unlimited mimosas or wine, app and an entree. Great selection all the way around. BUT, here's the bummer-their dinner menu. Nothing looks great, seems they're trying too hard to be fancy-sticking with the open kitchen vibe but the entree choices arent great. For me personally, each option had something I did not like and when asking for modifications-the servers always need to go double check. Most recently, I was at dinner with 10 people and besides the apps there wasnt an entree on the table that looked appealling. Brussel sprouts ---a must have! The rolls were nothing to be excited about, plus you had to pay $8 for them. I did not care for, nor eat my Gemelli pasta. It was dry and lacking flavor. Some things just missed the mark. They're small things but it added up. We requested a side, which we didn't receive. We had to ask our server for it twice after receiving our meals. By the time it arrived we were done with our entrees. We ordered a second round of drinks, and when they came, they didn't remove the empty glasses, which were empty prior to the second round of drink arriving. The waiter came and dropped off a dessert menu while we were in the middle of our entrees. Not even close to being done. I ordered the strip steak, medium rare. It was overcooked and chewy. We came here for brunch on Sunday, and I'm sooooo glad that we did! I mean really, the ambiance and service were fabulous! It was a rainy dreary day outside, but it was so gorgeous inside and Patrick took great care of us, oh, we also really enjoyed our food, as well as the bottomless mimosas! We thought we'd switch to a Bellini just to try one, but nope! We stuck with the mimosas since they were made just the way we like them, and not with that sweet/weak Prosecco/champagne that some restaurants to try to waste your time and fill you up with! A lot of the tables were full, and the folks at the tables near us were friendly and personable and made the experience even more enjoyable. Really, this could be my weekly brunch spot if I lived within an hour of here, but I'm from out of state. So, brunch includes bottomless mimosas, bellinis, red or white wine, along with a starter and entree for $54 each. Not bad if you ask me! Now, my guy went for the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake for his starter, which is a $5 up charge. I took a bite (or two), and it was delicious! I've never ordered crab cakes, because I hear stories from people who love them (hey mom! lol) about how a lot of places serve mostly stuffing with only a little crab in the cake. This wasn't like that, this was reallllllly good!!! I would've been happy if I ordered one of these! But, my salad was good too, and I was trying to keep it light for my starter since I knew my lobster roll would be full of melted butter and come with chips. My lobster roll was DELICIOUS!!! And, while I don't recall ever having charred corn on a lobster roll, it worked really well! There were some nice big chunks of lobster in my roll, though the roll itself wasn't very big. There was also a $4 upcharge for the lobster roll, but I was ok with that. I mean, I've been to a LOT of bottomless brunches and don't recall ever seeing a lobster roll before, so I had to do it. Since I was drinking, and the lobster roll wasn't huge, I did eat most of my chips, which I usually try not to do, but there were good and I need to eat. I'd DEFINITELY go back, and have really been impressed with a lot of the restaurants we found while visiting Buffalo. If I ever come back to the area, and they're doing brunch? I'll be here! Oh, giant TVs too, so the game was on (not that I cared, but I know a lot of you do). Go, and enjoy! Ask for Patrick if he's in, he'll take care of you! Then, take care of him when you pay the check. Patina 250 doesn't fall short either on giving you that modern, upscale atmosphere. Even with the surroundings, it doesn't feel haughty. Our two-year-old was welcomed and didn't seem out of place. I can understand why they are in the Westin. I had the lobster roll and it was delicious just get butter on the side. Patina probably has the best French Toast in WNY and surrounding areas. BRIOCHE FRENCH TOAST - fresh fruit compote, frangipane, whipped vanilla mascarpone, mint, and toasted pecan. It seems that the fresh fruit compote is based on what fruit is in season. When we last had it it was strawberries and rhubarb. I see now it's peach compote. Eating the French toast is a moment in itself. Everything around you melts away, your eyes close and it's only you and that French toast. We also had the salsa Verde sausage, great flavor, and a large portion. A bit different than your traditional breakfast sausage. Again, we will most certainly be returning for the French toast and sausage. It was so fluffy and delicious and so much more than typical French toast usually served at brunches. It's nice here. It's perfect for small events as well. We had the most incredible meal at Patina; I think perhaps the best meal I've ever had. For a party of 10, the staff planned a multi course meal that included courses of roasted vegetables so uniquely seasoned and textured including Buffalo style cauliflower, sweet and salty Brussel sprouts, asparagus with some kind of crunchy herb combination. Loaves of warm, fresh bread with some kind of whipped hebed butter, buckets of steamed mussels. My main course, fillet mignon, was perfection. Service was impeccable. My girlfriend and I went here for her birthday for Sunday brunch and it was amazing. The building is beautiful and very spacious, well decorated. The booths are huge and very private. This is the perfect place for a date. The portions were very generous, neither me or my girlfriend finished our meals and it was delicious. I highly recommend getting the PRIX FIXE and going to town on the mimosas and Bellinis they never let those glasses get to half empty before refilling and you can switch between the two. Our server was knowledgeable, and prompt. He was not the most friendly gentleman but he did his job and did it very well I'm very happy with the service. Lastly, because it was a birthday brunch I had simply requested that they make it special, and they certainly did. Everyone wished my girlfriend a happy birthday, they presented a card to her with a written note inside which was very nice, and lastly after the meal they provided a FREE chocolate lava cake with coffee ice cream included with edible candles and large sparkler in the middle. For appetizers we had beef tartar and squash soup then we had the halibut as our entree, omg everything tasted heavenly! I don't remember the name of the cake that we had for dessert (check out pics) but it was so light and delicious. Clients and I went here for a drink after work on a Monday evening. We met at 5ish and there was ample space at the bar for seating. The restaurant has a long bay of windows that let diners glimpse street happenings. For the shy among us, there are a few nice, well appointed hideaways in the space as well. A younger crowd frequents the place (40s). The decor is stylish and modern. The bartender was fairly attentive, given how busy he was. One of my clients, feeling the effects of a Sunday football hangover malaise, quietly nursed a club soda. His father, dove in to a Titos and water with lemon. I ordered a drink called "The Last Word." A gin based drink, it sounded really delicious and refreshing after being in the salt mines all day. The drink is made with green chartruese liquor, maraschino liquor and lime. Green chartruese is a light green liquor featuring musky, herbal and botanical aromas, star anise, tarragon, basil and dutch licorice. It is unusual---the flavor is bold, yet sweet, with a slight earthiness and serious alcohol heat. This thick and viscous addition to The Last Word finishes sharp. A true classic for gin-based cocktails! The drink's acoutrement was two lucious blueberries soaked in a rich firey alcohol. At least that is my guess, because they were delightful and unusual. The drink was outstanding. And a bit powerful. And a bit expensive. All of four ounces, it was $14. Of course the majority of the 4 ounces was alcohol......so it has that going for it. I would give a two thumbs up to Patina as an after work watering hole. read more

Great spot for a fancy girls brunch. I dined with my sister on an early Sunday afternoon as we dressed in our finest of millennial threads (ie. yeezys, oversized shades but also blazers because we're "classy"). I loved the prix fix menu concept which comes with a starter, a main course and bottomless mimosas (pace yourself, this is a slippery slope LOL!). I had a delicious salad to start. For my entree I opted for the waffle which was topped with apples, whipped cream and mint. Everything was fresh and the portions were not over whelming which is good for those of us that are looking for a little "hair of the dog" situation. I should mention parking is a bit tricky as it's usually valet but ya know... coronavirus. But there is a lot you can utilize for self parking. read more

Overall disappointing experience. When making brunch reservations for Easter over the phone, it was never mentioned that the only option was going to be the buffet. The website also did not indicate this. Seating was offered up until 2pm and we elected to sit at 1. There were several food items they ran out of, along with the unlimited bloody Mary's. They eventually offered aperol spritzes to guests, but we don't drink those so asked for espresso martinis. They did not allow us to get those to make up for the lack of bloody Mary's. For $80 a person, they should have enough food and alcohol to cover all the seatings. Our waitress also acted as if we bothered her by coming in. She forgot drinks we did order and just wasnt friendly. As someone who works in the industry, I would have at least been kind to guests on a holiday when knowing the restaurant clearly wasn't prepared. We are never demanding or rude to servers and would have taken great care of her. Oh well, lesson learned. read more

One of my favorite restaurants located in the Westin hotel right on Delaware avenue. Pull into the covered free valet parking area and walk right into the hotel restaurant entrance by the living wall. Tonight's feast consisted of an appetizer, tomato and burrata made with concassed tomato, whipped burrata, basil, parmigiano frico, aged balsamic, pistou, absolutely amazing and meticulously prepared. The main course was crispy erba Verde farms chicken prepared with truffle farce, celeriac soubise, hassle-beck sunchoke and celery-truffle vinaigrette. Also feasted upon crispy brussel sprouts prepared with pecorino romano, aleppo pepper, honey. Everything was perfect from the atmosphere to the service to the food. Definitely ranks one of my favorite restaurants in Buffalo. read more

The fritatta was Bland and VERY dry, the salad was saturated in the dressing. My son had the breakfast sandwhich, and said it was terrible. He described the flavor as peppery-char. I've been here a couple of times to experience fine dining, as well as apps and drinks at the bar and lounge area. It's upscale, but not stuffy. You'll see everyone from nicely dressed couples on date night to coworkers having a drink after work. Basically you can wear anything from business casual to a cocktail dress without feeling out of place. The menu changes seasonally so I won't focus on any specific dishes, but everything I've tried has been well prepared in terms of presentation, serving and flavor. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food, especially since portion sizes won't have you quoting Steve Martin in L.A. Story ("I'm already done, and I don't remember eating.") Flatbread pizzas are only $12. I've paid more for inferior flatbread pizza at less classy establishments. The craft and classic cocktails are a little more pricey (think $10-12), but probably reasonable for the quality of ingredients. My favorite is Sunset over the Falls. It's tequila, St. Germaine, grenadine, and lime juice. Service is friendly. The ambiance is upscale but cozy. It's a part of the Westin, which offers a complementary shuttle to theatres downtown. read more

My first time here and friends really recommended this place. It is located inside the hotel and it's pretty fancy so dress to impress. There's street parking located around the hotel. The servers there are super friendly. The service itself, I would just give it a 5 star. Greeted us with a nice warming smile. He introduced us the menu and told us where the steak are transported from. Started us with drinks and bread. He came to our table multiple times in the beginning to give us extra bread ;) I ordered off the restaurant week menu which most of did except my boyfriend. I ordered the crispy cauliflower and it's was a good portion for an appetizer. It was delicious! My boyfriend ordered from the regular menu and got the crab cake which was also worth trying cause it was so good. For my entree, I ordered rigatoni alla genovese. The pasta was cooked just right and the braised beef went so well with it. It is on the smaller size but more than enough for me. My boyfriend got the pork chop from the regular menu and it was sooo good! The pork chop wasn't dry. It is cooked just right and went so well with the sauce! Wish I ordered that too! As for dessert, I had the blackout. I'm normally not a fan of chocolate cake because of how sweet it taste but this is not as sweet as I thought it would be. My boyfriend didn't order a dessert since he ordered off the regular menu but the server was so nice and gave him a free dessert. I tried the pumpkin creme but didn't really like it cause I am not a fan of pumpkin but everyone on my table who got it, really enjoyed it! Thanks to my friends for a great recommendation! I have already done a review of this place but I had to do another because I just went back this summer 2022 and they have upped their amazing game even more! We were able to call them and get a 10 seat table plus a high chair with a little notice at all for reservation for Sunday brunch which is the best the absolute best! The cinnamon roll was to die for every meal exquisite and since the first time I went and ordered the Buffalo cauliflower starter they've changed it all for the better it is like seemingly air fried now and I just give it an A+ plus plus! I even liked their sides of potatoes better this time around, there Benedict was even better and with so many people I got to try a ton of things and I have no complaints whatsoever! It is pricey so don't expect to not spend a lot but it's totally worth it the customer service and food quality is top notch!! I would of course recommend as they will as well the prefix for brunch which allows you to get bottomless mimosas or Bellini's plus a starter plus a meal for $59 it's worth every penny! And they don't let you go thirsty I swear every time I took a sip of my drink which was definitely strong they were ready to fill it at a moments notice! such a great time hands-down one of the best brunch places in Buffalo!
