This family just makes you feel at home when dining at their restaurant. The mother, daughter, and son trio gives it this cozy warm feeling that makes you feel at home. The food is above and beyond. I've dined there with family and friends in the past year and everyone seems to rave about the quality of food and how spot on it is. We have a lot of folks in the family that know their mediterranean food and man they execute with no disappointments. All their food including the yogurt, hummus, dolma, baklava, right down to their sugar cubes are home made! It's awesome to see fresh food made from scratch always deliver with no disappointments. What I love most is that I can boast about their food and not hesitate when taking friends and family there because they are so consistently amazing! I recommend you try their Abgoosht Stew. It's the best I've ever had and I've grown up with my mom making it. Their dolma, Kashke Bademjan, and especially Eghra are out of this world! The service speaks for itself. 4 of us there for dinner last night (Thursday evening.) Place was not busy, seating on the patio available. Friendly customer service! It was our first time visiting and the server was patient and kind. Explained the dishes we were asking about and gave suggestions. I had the beef and chicken kabob with rice. Well cooked and seasoned, additional spice was placed on the table, came with rice. A friend enjoyed the steak and beef, the other had lamb. Both said their plates were tasty and well cooked. We also shared the hummus, had a bit of garlic in it, but was also well flavored. Large portions, all of us ended up with a to-go box to take home our leftovers. We first had a lunch at this restaurant in our way to Yosemite. The food was so delicious that we had dinner there in our way back too. We tasted all their different kababs. As a person who has visited 6 countries in middle east, I can attest that this was one of the most delicious kabobs I have ever had with halal fresh meat and authentic Persian taste and presentation. Just had the pleasure of having them cater my lunch appointment yesterday. I had 3 different kinds of kabobs..koobideh (ground beef with delicious spices) the beef Barg, thin slices of beef and chicken Barg, thin slices of yummy chicken. The eggplant, bread, the rice, salad, everything was delicious!!! I wish I lived closer. I'd be here weekly. Thankfully I work throughout that area, and will definitely be stopping by on a frequent basis. The owners are a nice family. Lamb shank was a good size but i wished it has more flavor as well the juice from it. The beef soltani the real beef meat was good but the ground beef is a little tough. My son started Stan State in fall 2022 and we started exploring Turlock spots on my trips to visit. It's been a bit hit and miss, but Patogh is a big hit. We went for lunch on a cold and windy day and they went out of their way to make us comfortable with a table in the corner. We both ordered the chicken combo and, honestly, it was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. The chicken and koobideh were perfectly cooked and flavored and even the rice and tomato were just right. This is just a good old-fashioned family restaurant with very nice people and fantastic food.
