Beware! Did you know that some Hyundai cars do not come with a spare tire? My salesman didn't either. The day I went to pick up the car I noticed that there was no spare tire. I told my salesman that I would not buy the car without a spare tire. He assured me that he would get one for me. He even gave me their "WE OWE" form which states that they owe me a spare tire. This form was initialed by the manager. After three months my salesman told me that they cannot get a spare for my model car. I was then told that I should find a tire dealer that has a tire that would work with my car and that Patrick Hyundai would give me a check for $250.00. Why do I have to be inconvenienced? It was their mistake and now they won't take responsibility for it. Also I still can't get the button on the rear view mirror to work with my garage door opener. I was told by my salesman to bring the car to the dealership and he would reprogram it (another inconvenience). It's a wonder to me how he can do that without the car parked in front of my garage. Friendly, helpful, knowledge and since it was raining and they weren't doing car washes gave me a voucher for a car wash ! She has single handedly turned my view of the service department around. The good: I think I got a fair price for a used 2011 Genesis. I found the sales staff helpful. Future oil changes will only cost $8.95 if I go back to this dealership. The bad: When I bought my car the dealership had replaced the name-brand OEM tires with something called "Milestar 932s." When I pointed this out during the negotiation process, the dealer tried to say it increased the value of the car because the tires were new. In hindsight, I should have pushed harder as to why a car with less than 20,000 miles on it would need new tires. Another minor point is that the car was delivered to me with only one key, and it took 25 days and a service appointment before the dealership could provide one to me. The ugly: When I brought the car back to get the second key, I mentioned that it was pulling to the right and that I could see negative camber on the left rear wheel -- the car needs an alignment. I had previously e-mailed my sales rep about this, and he had told me over the phone to talk to service about it. Service told me that because I had purchased a used car I needed to pay for the alignment, and that I should talk to a sales manager if I was dissatisfied with that response. I talked to a sales manager, and he said that since I had now owned the car for a couple of weeks I must have run over a pothole and they wouldn't pay for the wheel alignment. I believe that I didn't run over a pothole large enough to cause an alignment problem. If my driving did result in an alignment problem, then I believe that someone failed to properly torque the camber adjustment bolts during past maintenance. Since the tires had already been replaced with less than 20,000 miles on them, I suspect that alignment has been a problem for a while. In short, while Patrick has no legal responsibility to pay for a 4-wheel alignment on the car I bought from them 3 weeks ago, I would expect a reputable dealership to do so in the name of customer service and post-sales support. I'm also frustrated that neither sales nor service would take responsibility for the decision not to pay for my repair, with sales saying "service won't do it," and service saying "this is a sales manager's decision." As of now, I intend to go to Firestone and buy a lifetime alignment plan for $169.99 instead of paying Patrick more than $120 for a single alignment that I believe should have been covered with my vehicle purchase. read more

So I went to visit this place about 2 months ago because I was interested in one of the volvos they were selling. I was assigned to meet with JACK KIM. I think if I would've had a different salesman then I probably would've left with the car that same day. The problem that I had was with this salesman. We started off by test driving the car immediately once I got there. While I was driving he didn't seem to ask me why I was interested in the car or simply "what brought me into see it." He was telling me basic facts about the car that I already knew. Anyways, moving on to the negotiating. Once we sat down he specifically go to the car value and didn't want to negotiate any prices with us, he kept pushing me to get a Hyundai even though I specifically told him I was interested in the Volvo only. I took my Ioniq in for a 30,000 mile check up scheduled at 9 am. When I spoke to Gus I was told that before any work was done on my car I would be informed. I was also given a printed paper with all of their packages and prices on it. After receiving this paper I never discussed wanting any of the packages that were shown. I received my check up results at around 11:15am with their recommendations. The recommendations were getting 2 new tires, an alignment, and a 30,000 mile package. Gus discussed needing new tires with me, which I declined, but did not bring up the 30,000 mile package. I never verbally stated that I wanted the 30,000 mile package done for my car and it was never verbally discussed that they planned on doing the package work on my car . At no point was the price verbally discussed with me about how much the visit would cost me before work was done either. When I went to the cashier at around 11:47 I was told that the price would be $695 for the service provided. I then discussed with Gus inquiring about when I approved for the package to be done, which he replied with "That's what you said you came in for. It must have been a miscommunication and next time you come in just tell us what you are in for." What the appointment was for should have notified them that this was for a check up, not for the package deal. When I created the appointment I told them that the appointment would be for a 30,000 mile checkup. I am highly disappointed as the dealership did work on my car without asking me first as there is no way that the technician would have been able to do all the work in the package within the roughly 45 minute window between me getting the check up results and me going to the cashier. This "miscommunication" cost me an extra $300 over what was budgeted and going back on their word about not doing any service without consulting me first has lost them a customer. I was able to speak with the service manager after the matter and was refunded $150 but the service manager pretty much states that their check ups imply that you are asking for the mileage package of the check up. I don't believe that this is a good practice and they should confirm what is being done and the price point expected during the car drop off. I hope this review helps others on their decision making and saves them an unexpected expense. read more

Service department advisor and sales mgr were rude. I asked service to wear a mask and gloves before getting into my car. The advisor was rude and said we don't have masks. So I gave him one to wear. Then he proceeds to get in my car not wearing any protective gear. I was not happy. No one is wearing masks or gloves. I ending up leaving and going to another dealership who actually cares about their customers and employees where everyone is wearing masks and gloves. When I told the advisor I don't know you. You are a stranger and the virus could live in his body up to 37 days and show no symptoms he looked at me and said. So. Ugh. The nerve. I bet you many people will get sick from this dealerships and their lack of taking this pandemic that's killing thousands of people a day seriously. I will never go back. read more

I just bought my 2nd vehicle from this dealership. I don't remember the first sales experience very much as it was 4 years ago. I came back to this dealership again strictly based on my service experience the last 4 years. I always felt the service department did a great job. Sometimes it always took a few day to get an appointment but if it was an emergency and I needed service I was always able to get in the same day. I always had a loaner car set up for me and I felt they were always pretty fair. The only aspect I do not like is the minimum $100 charge just to look at your vehicle. I think that is ridiculous. My salesman was DT and he did a fabulous job. No pressure and between him and MM I felt the process was pretty painless. I was able to get very close to the deal I want with some negotiating. I would recommend Patrick Hyundai based on their service department and their sales staff. read more

I have been a customer for 6 years and will not be returning here. Service has been rushed/declining in recent years. This past weekend I took my car in to repair a tire that was leaking from the rim. This dealership returned it to me with the tire light on and without checking the tire pressure. I was about to get on the highway when I pulled over and found my "repaired " tire didn't register pressure on my tire gauge and I barely made it back to the dealership before it went flat. Not only is this unsafe, it would also have caused expensive damage my car and the cost of having it towed. A free oil change on my next visit doesn't remedy the fact that I paid for shoddy/unsafe service. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location to anyone else. read more

My wife and I just purchased our 2012 Hyundai Veracruz Limited at Patrick Hyundai and from Jim Dulaney and Gina Ingo (Internet Sales). The service was outstanding!! Gina replied just a couple of hours after we sent in the inquiry with all the options we were looking for. She provided a quote and was able to fulfill our request with a new Veracruz Limited which was sitting on the lot. We had sent out a few inquiries to dealers in both the Chicago area as well as local to where we live and by far Patrick Hyundai was the easiest to work with and most responsive. (The other dealers we attempted to contact either wrote back with additional questions which we had already provided in our initial inquiry to them or one never even provided a quote and availability) Patrick Hyundai was also the best price we could find. Jim did an excellent job going over the different models and options available. We test drove the a Veracruz and then after looking at available options as well as cost with Jim we selected the car we needed. We were in a purchasing mode with money in hand and Patrick Hyundai was the only dealer who really demonstrated and followed through that they really wanted to earn/win our business. We walked out of the dealership the same day with our brand new Veracruz Limited and really love it and the service we received at Patrick Hyundai!! Got yelled at and insuted by "New Car Manager/Sales" Scott June. So to say it was a bad experience would be an understatement, he not only insulted us in the showroom but even chased us down when we left to sit in our car to come and insult and yell at us again. I have a lease with Patrick Hyundai which I got in 2017, its a 2017 Sante Fe Sport. I told my friend about it and he liked the deal that I have and was interested in the same deal, so I took him to Patrick Hyundai even though many people have told me that Patrick Hyundai is the worst place of all. We walk in and sales reps are walking by and no one asked if we are looking for a car even though there were sales reps walking on the floor and talking to each other, no big deal. Then we go up to the counter and say we are looking for a lease so can someone help us. They bring the sales rep, we ask for the car which is listed as a new car, only to find that the car we wanted to test drive might have 5K miles on it if we want to lease it, he brings a similar car out, we test drive it and now comes the time to talk numbers. My 2017 Santa fe was about the same price as the car we test drove. When the sales rep came back with a number which was about $220 higher than what I am paying monthly, we asked to give us the same deal we have on my 2017. He went back and now comes SCOTT JUNE. He walks in, does not introduce himself, no nothing, and says the following "MATH DOES NOT CHANGE" not sure what that means. He told us that for every $1000 on the price there is about $30 on the lease, we politely say, its ok if you dont have this deal its ok. SCOTT does not like what we said, so as he is walking he now starts implying that we are lying about the deal that we have. And now he goes to his friends infront of us and is insulting us by practically calling us liars that we pay this much on our 2017 Santa fe. When I tell him that he is being rude he keeps on repeating "MATH DOES NOT CHANGE" "MATH DOES NOT CHANGE". I told him he does not have to be rude, instead he can just say that the deal is no longer available. BUT NO how could he, He then challenges me by asking my information so he can pull up my record and prove how I am lying. So I give him my info and he pulls it up, and guess what he is wrong, the deal we were asking is the deal we have right now. So now SCOTT decides to give us some random numbers which have nothing to do with the monthly payment. Now that we have proven him to be wrong, we decide to leave because now we are getting angry, as we sit in our car to leave, SCOTT decides to come out knock on our window and say "your address has changed too, MATH DOES NOT CHANGE" so as per SCOTT who is apparently in Sales thinks that $220 increase in the lease is because the address has changed, when we know that the increase is about $30. Needless to Say Scott June is in the wrong business, and Patrick Hyundai is the worst place to shop for cars. If they have this attitude when you are trying to lease from them, imagine how they would treat you when you have their car. Also I have previously wrote my experiences with oil changes and service with Patrick Hyundai and it has always been bad. So after my lease ends, I am never going back to Patrick Hyundai. read more

No Payment on trade in! We traded in our 93 Chevy Caprice 2 months ago. We were told at the time the check would arrive in 1 week. It is now 2 months. Scott June the manager there has ignored repeated phone calls. We are feeling as if we've been scammed out of our money. I wouldn't complain if Scott June was responsive to our calls, but again we have called more than 4 times with no call back. On July 13th of this year (2016), I came in to get an oil change and to also have my brakes looked at as my car was making a high pitched squealing noise that I was pretty sure was the brakes going bad. I was fairly certain that they'd need to be replaced, and I was prepared to do so at that time. As most of the other times I've come in, Ivan was assisting me in my service and said he'd take a look into the situation as I specifically told him about the issue I was having, and asked if they could take a look. He assured me this was no issue, and that he'd do just that. After about 35 minutes in the waiting room, to my surprise, Ivan came and told me my brakes were just fine, and that the squealing I was hearing was due to possibly a small pebble or rock being lodged in between my brake pad and rotor which is fairly common he said. He told me that they could take the brakes completely apart and clean it if I wanted, but that my pads and rotors were in good condition and no service was needed. I'd never heard of such a thing happening before, and it sounded completely off the wall, but seeing as I'm not a mechanic, I trusted him and went on my way. Yesterday, November 21st, I came in for service again for an oil change. The service invoice says I dealt with someone named Nader, who informed me that my brakes were bad and needed replacing. This came as a bit of a shock to me considering just a few months prior, I was told I had 6mm on my pads, and now I'm down to 2mm, and in one rotor, next to nothing. He said one of my rear pads is "stuck." I asked him how this is possible to have next to nothing left on my pads when just a few months ago my brakes were perfectly fine. He said that unless you asked a technician to look at your brakes, they wont. I told him I did, that that's the reason I had come in last time. He asked me who I spoke to, at the time I couldn't recall because that was nearly 4 months ago. He stated that it sounded like Sam, or possible Saul, that I had spoken with, and that "he doesn't do his job." I was floored by this comment as you should NEVER tell a customer that your people aren't doing what the customers ask of them, or place blame on on other employees. It just looks bad. I didn't respond to that comment as I wanted to hear what my tech had to tell me. He said that I needed new pads, and possibly rotors all the way around, and he even joked that this was about the time most customers trade in their vehicles when they're faced with costly repairs. I told him I'd think on it and decide what to do. Let me start off by saying that I'm shocked that one tech would tell a customer that another tech wasn't doing their job. I'm also thinking that I wasn't told about the real issue with my pads months ago in order to have the problem escalate further, and the repair be more costly as my rotors are probably now no good. Maybe it's because I'm a young woman who comes in by myself all the time, and someone just assumed I wouldn't push back on this? As a customer, I trusted this dealership in good faith to take care of my vehicle, especially if it were becoming unsafe to drive, to tell me what needed to be done. Especially when I specifically inquire about an issue. Since I keep ALL of my service records, I pulled out my service record from my last visit which clearly states that "front and rear brakes at 6MM and 5MM still have plenty of padding." Considering my brakes were BRAND NEW a year ago (had all new pads and rotors replaced in November of 2015), this is unbelievable. I gave Patrick Hyundai the chance to rectify the situation by offering some type of discount in service as they failed to do anything in my first visit, but they refused. I even supplied my documentation of both service records. I will NEVER buy a Hyundai again. ***UPDATE*** I had my pads replaced somewhere else and the pads were "like brand new" according to the tech. I was even shown the pads in comparison to the ones I had put on, not much difference at all. Not sure why Hyundai told me anything needed to be replaced brakes wise when this is the case. So tell me again how you people aren't trying to cheat me out of my money? read more

Let me start by saying that my sales person was awesome! The reason for the three stars is the fact that I took it in for service and they did an inspection. They came back to tell me that all four of my tires were worn. The truth is, 3 are worn and one had just been put on 6 days before coming here due to a side wall puncture. It was brand new! Yet, the mechanic still listed that all four tires were worn and will soon need to be replaced, which brings up the question, are they really taking the time to inspect properly as they claim they do? This isn't just a visual inspection, this was a claim made by the supposedly measuring the tire tread depth! Please be aware that this service department may not be as trustworthy as you would expect a new car dealership to be. Food for thought. read more

$600.00 for a set of pads, and to turn the rotors on a 2014 Sonata with 50k miles. My friend brought her car in and was told this had to be done for safety. It may/or may not have needed this, she was pitched a ton of other items, but told this was the minimum amount to make the car "safe" When I asked GUS why the price was so high, he stated call BMW if you do not like it, see what they charge. I stated, this is not a BMW, to which his reply was "I sell what I am told to sell" If you are not knowledgeable about vehicle service, and parts, I would avoid this place. I live in Chicago and traveled to Schaumburg to buy my son a car. I selected the car I wanted online so I knew what I wanted when I got there. When I arrived, Maz was asked to assist us. He not only delivered the car but delivered quality service. Maz worked with us and was professional and patient. He gave my husband and I lessons on car buying and insurance. I appreciate that. The atmosphere was friendly, as we were greeted walking in the dealership. I decided to buy the car and had to wait (not long) for financing. In the meantime I enjoyed a French vanilla latte from the awesome coffee machine and my husband had a cup of water. I met Scott, the manager, who was a nice accommodating guy. I am pleased with the car and it looks better in person than online. My older son will need a new car soon. If he chooses a Hyundai, I'll be right back in Schaumburg at Patrick Hyundai. read more

Don't hate the player hate the game; I love my Hyundai but I hate the Hyundai dealers. Specifically this one. I got a handy dandy notice in the mail that I had a recall, not one but two on my car. So I decided to get it checked out since I had the day off and could get myself to Schaumburg. I booked online and was all set! Of course I picked an early time just so I could have the rest of the day to get my errands done. I took my book and headed to the dealer. It took me long enough to find where to actually drive my car to get serviced, that was probably what tipped them off. When I got in the right spot I figured I'd get an oil change too since I needed one and the price was comparable to other places. I sat in the crowded lobby and waited...and waited...and waited and drank horrible mediocre coffee and waited. And used their wi-fi and waited some more. The lobby thinned out by I was the only regular there. The guy came out and told me the news...my car is pretty much un-drivable and it's a miracle I'm alive. Well, that was the gist of it anyway. I needed about 2k worth of work done when all I wanted was an oil change and free inspection. I got the battery because I knew that was probably the most likely, which was probably dumb because I could have bought a small child with the cost of it. I sat back down and waited again. I had seen people getting estimates; usually it was women with men, women with new Hynadai's or just men. It was the regular spiel, and since the weather was crappy instead of a free car wash they were giving everyone vouchers, at least that was nice. My car was done, in a record time of 4.5 hours!! An oil change, a battery and inspection that was seriously someone taking a can of hairspray and coating underneath the car...What? Aint nobody got time for that! So I left with my day shot, my butt numb from sitting too long, wired up on powdered creamer and shoddy coffee, with a $400 dent in my wallet. The best part? I never got a free car wash voucher! You would think just from sitting there I could at least get that much. Nope just a swift kick and out the door in my car that is bound to fall apart at any moment. Hyundai I am disappointed, angry and a little embarrassed to be associated with you. And for the record my headlight went out the next day (gee didn't catch that one did you, could have been an extra $200!) and the work you said I needed done, didn't exist. In fact the mechanic looked at me like I was smoking cat nip and talking to magical gnomes. At least I saved over $1600 by not trusting you. read more

I just wanted to share my experience with this dealership tonight. I have been to 7 different dealerships these past two weeks, and not one has been as bad as the experience I received at thisdealership. My younger brother is in the market for a car, and the new Sonata 2.0T is high on the list. We arrived at this dealership tonight at approximately 8:15pm. As we were walking in, I observed 3 of your employees sitting directly outside your front entrance smoking. What a pleasant view that was. As we walk in, not one sales person greeted us. We walked all they way in by the desk, where I observe 3 of your sales persons talking amongst each other. We stood looking around to see if anyone was going to approach us. Seeing that you only had 3 vehicles on your floor, and none of which we were interested in, we wanted to inquire about the Sonata.... we stood there for approximately 2 min, turning around looking to see if anyone notices us. I finally made eye contact with the sales man by the desk wearing a blue outdoor jacket staring directly at me. Still nothing. Absolutely stunned at the fact that not one sales person wanted help, my brother and I left. As we walked out, I asked the 3 hyundai staff, who were finishing up their smoke breaks if they worked here, two of them said yes, as one of the employees flicked a cigarette butt by the wall of your building, I made a statement saying "it would be nice if someone would've helped us" instead of asking us if they could help, your staff responded by saying "sorry..." while smirking...and chuckling I really have to say, I'm very disappointed in this company. Just the ambiance inside is enough to show what kind of place these guys run. Shady car salesman is the first thing that came to mind. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. My son and I had been shopping for a used car for several weeks when we found a car at another one of their locations in Naperville. Unfortunately when we called the dealership in Naperville the car had been sold but they had one here at Patrick Hyundai in Schaumburg. I NEVER buy a used car without having my own mechanic inspect it (This was my first mistake) because we had been here literally all day and my son like the car and the price was fair we decided to buy it was on a Saturday 2 1/2 weeks ago. There was an issue with the driver's side mirror and the dealer said to bring in the car the following Saturday and drop it off and they would replace it. My son drives the car for a week and drops the car off the following Saturday to replace the mirror and gets a loaner until the following Saturday when he can pick up his car. He picks up his car and is driving when all of a sudden the Check Engine light comes on. I understand that this is a used car but it had no problems going in and when he picks it up the Check Engine light is on and only has 45,000. I contact the GM (Tony) to let him know how upset and disappointed we were and what were they going to do to resolve this issue. He had me talk to the sales man (Kash) who is extremely rude and said what do you expect the car has 45,000. What I expect is not to put any money into a car that we have owned for less than a week. I get back on with the GM Tony and ask if he can diagnose what the problem might be. He says to me we don't work on foreign cars. I tell him there is a VW dealer next door to you have you ever heard of Customer Service!!! He says if you want to take it in you are more than welcomed to. Great way to treat your customers!!!! If I had known I was going to start throwing money into a car that has been owned for less than 2 weeks I would have kept the old car. NEVER EVER again would I go to this place for another car. I plan on contacting the BBB and see if there is anything that I can do. People ask why do you hate car dealerships and I always say because I have NEVER found any used salesman that are honest!!!! read more

A week later, we went to another dealership to get oil change and asked again to make sure the recall problem has been fixed, because our car was still acting weird. What did we hear? recall wasn't taken care of yet on my car. So what did they do with my car for an hour at patrick hyundai? Nothing. They just wasted my time. read more

I had a broken tail light on a Hyundai Elantra. I bought the part from the parts department who were very helpful. However, when I asked how much it would be to change out the tail light there, I was quoted $150 by the service department...are you kidding me? I don't know much about car repair, but I do know this would not take an hour to do and BMW charges $50 to replace on their cars...BMW!!! I asked why the high price for something as simple as a tail light and I was told that they would have to get a tool out and keep track of all the screws (there were three). I stopped by a locally owned garage and they changed the tail light for me for free in less than 5 minutes. I am completely disgusted at the terrible customer service and ridiculously inflated prices. A dealership just looking for whoever they can take advantage of. read more

The car they sold us had close to no brakes left on it and needed a brake job within a week; when I took it back to get it taken care of they said it was too late. Also, we were promised a referral check $$ when we purchased the car. It has been 2 months and we never received it. When we followed up about it, the sales manager had the nerve to say "you can't prove anything because we never gave it in writing to you". STAY AWAY, go to a different hyundai dealer. read more

Be very wary in your dealings with this place. Do not believe anything you're told. Make sure every single facet of your deal is in writing. Did my homework and research. Found 2 Certified Hyundais for sale there and went to go see them and drive them. Walk in, was greeted by a salesman. I tell him the stock numbers of the cars I want to see. Before he even looks them up he's telling me how great they are and get this, he says, "and the nice thing is, for only $1000 you can have them certified." I wasn't even in the damn door 2 minutes and he's already trying to pull a scam. I told him the cars were already certified, advertised as certified and that I would not be paying $1000 for certification. He backed off when he saw I wasn't going to play along. I took both cars for a test ride and decided to buy one. The sale price was fair and I made no attempt to haggle. I told them I was pre-approved by my bank, just needed a buyer's order to present to the loan officer. They said they were pretty sure they could beat my bank's rate and had their finance dept begin working on it. They seemed unwilling to present me with a buyer's order which I guess means they didn't want to sell the car to someone who had their own financing. When I ran out of time I told them to fax it to my bank or me and I would bring it to the bank myself. When they saw that I needed to leave they really got aggressive with trying to get me to sign a contract. I told them I wouldn't but I sincerely wanted the car. I had already been there for over two hours. It should have been a completely painless experience. I like the car, I want to buy the car, I have my own financing. Just print up a buyer's order and I'll come back the next day with a check. I should have just turned around and walked out when the salesman tried the $1000 certification trickery right off the bat. How dumb, lose a customer and a sale over a few dollars. read more

Stay Away from the Service Department of Patrick Hyundai. I got to wait three months for an oil change of my 2017 Sonata.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! Last week my wife and I stopped in to look at cars. The first thing I noticed was a very unfriendly and unprofessional environment in the show room.. most of this has to do with the elevated desk area to the left of the entrance. There were two guys ,who I later learned were managers, sitting in there typing away on their cell phones and who looked less than happy to even be there, They looked more like pit bosses. Anyway we started with a salesman there named Casey who seemed nice enough. It was late and after going on a test drive my wife decided on a car and an offer was made. This offer was completely in line with other deals we were looking at at other dealerships.Casey went to that elevated area to present the offer and it was promptly refused. We politely thanked him for his time and left. We did notice how easily they let us walk but it was late. The next morning I called two other Hyundai dealers, as I now knew exactly what car with what features we wanted, and to see if the price range (monthly payment zero down) was possible. Both said yes for sure though neither had the color my wife wanted. Having heard that I decided to call Schaumburg and talk to a manager. The man I spoke to last Thursday at approx 12pm was very fast talking. He originally said he could not talk price without me being in the dealership, I told him how I was there the previous night and gave him the specific car (2015 demo) and what my parameters were. He assured me that it could be done. I told him that since we were already there before we needed to be sure this time before we invested more time in another visit. We live in Chicago so it's almost a 45min drive. He said he would look it over and call me back. The call came a few hours later but from a woman named LeAnne. She began to tell me about a 2012 model. I stopped her short and explained that the manager I spoke to before knew full well we were only interested in the 2015 demo. I gave her the same info on the deal parameters and she also assured me that a deal could be worked out and that we should come in tonight. I told her please be sure and she said she would call me back. I had before mentioned $300 per month but when she called me back I said we could do $310 and she said that her boss Pam had said ok to such a deal and we decided to come in that night. As we walked in the same two guys from last night were in that raised platform. One of them named Steve Heinze asked us if we were there to buy a new car? I know he knew us from the night before. Before I could explain a salesman named Cameron introduced himself to us and said he knew all the details and would be helping us out. LeAnne had left and Pam was not there either. We went on a drive and then decided to go ahead and buy it. When we sat at his desk Cameron went to that same platform and saw that same man and came back with a higher price. We were both very upset as we already were told we had a deal. We explained everything again and he went back to see Steve and then came back and told us that was it. At that point Steve yelled loudly to Cameron "NEXT TIME DO WHAT I TELL YOU!!!" the other customers sitting at the neighboring desk heard this and looked at us obviously surprised at the level of unprofessional behavior. LeAnne was also called. I spoke to her and told her that she lied to us. She mentioned how she didn't think "he" would be there and I was led to believe "he" was Steve. My voice may have gotten elevated as I explained to Cameron though I was only upset at LeAnne. Steve then came by and told us we wanted a car that we could not afford. At this point the other "manager" from that elevated area showed up and said its best if we leave. We were shocked. We promptly left. On the car ride home we discussed how unprofessional and predatory the dealership was. I quickly dispatched an email to Pam and then forwarded a copy to the higher ups which include Mr. Dawson (President), Mr Stinson and Mr. Lenardi. I have not heard back from either of them. As a small business owner who has done business with Schaumburg Jeep and Porsche @Motor Werks for years, I can tell you that good customer service and professional behavior are absent at Patrick Hyundai Schaumburg. It's not just that, it's bad manners and a predatory environment. It's deception that is obviously sanctioned at the highest level. BEWARE. If you want to be treated like dirt, by pompous douche-bag salesman with arrogant attitudes, then you have found the right place to shop! I went into this dealership on 2 separate occasions. The first time I was greeted by D***, who couldn't have been less excited to help us. I am in the market for a car in a hurry (currently driving a rental), and expressed to D that I am a Honda person, but am very interested in the Elantra, so I need some education and information. Getting info from him was like pulling teeth! And his attitude was lazy and unhelpful. He claimed that he didn't even have any brochures he could give me. Total waste of time. I thought I would give them a second chance, since they are so close to my home. I didn't think that my experience could be worse than the first time. That's when I met C***. Boy was I wrong. My boyfriend was with me, and we clearly stated that I (Hi, ME, the woman) was looking for the car. He sat down with us and answered some questions, mainly talking to my boyfriend, even when I asked questions, all the while looking over our heads for "better buyers." He was not easy to get info from either. We test drove a car (C stayed back since they were "so busy" -- clearly with so few customers in the place). When we got back he sat down and asked "so are you going to buy it?" I was shocked. I needed more information, and he acted like I was wasting his time. After a few moments I stood up and said "I can't believe the way you are talking to me right now! I can't remember the last time I have felt so disrespected!" to which he rolled his eyes. Unbelievable! C made sure to let us know that they are a high volume dealership, as if my purchase is of no consequence to him. I WILL NEVER enter their doors again, regardless of what they have to offer. And by the way, HONDA, down the street, couldn't have been more awesome. They took their time and went out of their way to help and educate me, even though I didn't walk out with a car. I was treated with utmost respect at HONDA. Buyers beware of this place. I also spoke with a Hyundai salesman with another branch, who said that he was hired by them, and walked out of the interview, because he was treated like shit as well, even when they offered him a JOB!
