Had a great time stopping in for a quick couple of beers. Topher, the bartender was awesome. Knowledgeable, conversational, and totally down to earth. I'm from out of town and had not had a great experience with Utah breweries and bars. He changed that. Had two bad ass double IPA's (I generally am not a fan) and he called them perfectly. Great time. Reasonable as well.

I don't like yelp, but decided to use it to leave an amazing review for this beautiful bar, and its a1 staff. Every time I've come here they are so bright, cheerful, genuine and all around pleasant to be around. It's right across the street from the convention center, easy to get a liquid lunch, after work cocktails/beers Easy going and fairly casual atmosphere (I'm wearing shorts, flip flops & tank top currently. 10/10 would recommend WEAR YOUR MASK

I was curious when I saw the first pic. Pay attention to the review: "Came in here on a whim and was more than pleasantly surprised..."

Bryce... I had an email here for you to contact me through, and talk about this... You didn't seem to want to talk... That's cool too. So, I guess I am just going to put my original review back up, keep what I like of this new review, and just enjoy my ban... Cheers! Here is my first review of this establishment: (And I have since found out that the ONLY bartender that this particular review applies to, and was initially intended to be directed to, is only to the owner, specifically, Bryce Adams.) "Sad to say that one of the bartenders here needs a different job than the one that he has. VERY impolite to the patrons that enter the establishment, and that is bad for business, or repeat business. Don't be surprised when you come here, if you get an attitude from (Bryce) the bartender. Dude needs an attitude adjustment, (May I also add: psychological counseling? Meds?) or go flip burgers somewhere. Any job that does not involve working with customers. God bless." Money doesn't just come out of thin air, Sir. Money that makes up your paycheck, and the paychecks of your employees, is brought in through the door, on foot, from the customers that enter your establishment. You have an obligation, especially as a business OWNER, to treat these people that walk through your door and into your place of business with respect and a modicum of patience. Especially if you want your business to thrive and survive. In fact, you should be setting the example, as the owner, to your crew of employees, which happen to all seem to be the ones setting the example for you as a whole. Your whole crew of employees, so far as I have seen, are worth their weight in GOLD, so far, every single one of them... Very polite and respectful, easy to talk to and approach, and they seem to all enjoy working there, and dealing with customers effectively, efficiently and politely. Clearly worthy of an honest 5 star rating all by themselves, each one of them that I have seen so far. When I last had my in-person chat with you, and you told me to leave, I went over to my normal hang out place, where I have been going for years, and never ever had a problem. I asked one bartender there if they knew you, which he said yes, and also agreed that you have a very hard time communicating politely with people. Now... Is that HIS problem? Or is that MY problem? Or is it your problem that you have a hard time communicating politely with people? To quote your own words: "Being rude to customers is never a good way to conduct business." - Andrew P. (aka Bryce Adams, see screen shotS below) Maybe the customers deserve it!!! But it is the BETTER man, that has a SUCCESSFUL business that can still keep a cool head and still be polite when everything inside you just wants to tell them off. It all boils down to money coming IN the door, or money NOT coming in the door, and spent elsewhere. Here is MY account of what started this storm between us: I had visited your business the day before, and you ID'd me personally, just fine. The whole time there that day went very smoothly. I don't remember why my ID was not in my wallet THAT day so I could give it to you to ID me again. I was genuinely shocked that my ID was not in my wallet, and was trying to mentally take some time and retrace what happened, so I could find it again. (Nobody is perfect, sorry.) For some reason you thought I was "staring you down", which I had no ill intentions to do so. I hoped that you would recognize me from the day before, and give me a chance to find my ID for later. I thought I was able to ask you if you recognized me from yesterday, (maybe not?) but then the whole situation went sideways for you I guess... A better option than what you said, would have been to tell me: "Sir, I see hundreds of people a day. I can't remember all of them, so I can't let you stay here without showing me your ID", and the whole matter would have never been an issue. You could have handled the issue better is all I am saying, which also points to the other bad reviews, which say basically the same thing, and which I am sure that you own all by yourself. I just don't see ANY of your other crew being rude to ANYone that walks through the door. Any business reviews by customers, are to let other potential customers know about a good business, or a bad business, without any bias from the owners or employees of that business. If you keep the same attitude, Bryce, and keep treating people like the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld, you are going to keep getting bad reviews! You make your own fate. Nobody makes your own fate, but you. And a little ending point of advice, if I may? A lot of my friends go to your bar. We go as a group all over the city. Our industry wears black clothes (just as a visual tip). In the future, you in particular might want to be extra polite to anyone in all black, especially if you want to keep our business. We talk about our experiences, good and bad. And word travels fast!!

Smaller inside, but definitely a cool little place! Affordable beverages and $4 Jamison, but what pub doesn't have Guinness on tap?!

I really wanted to leave because it was taking too long just to place our order for drinks, so that was already a red flag for me. As soon as I told my husband let's get ready to go, the server came to take our drink order. I should have gone with my instincts then and left. The reviews were good at this restaurant so we wanted to try it out. It took a while for us to order our food after ordering our drinks because the waiter just took a long time--no surprise there. Once we received our food and the food arrived, upon sight I could tell my crawfish etouffee wasn't going to be good. I eat this meal a lot and I could tell by the color of the roux that I wasn't going to enjoy it, but I remained optimistic. You know looks can be deceiving! What I did not expect was that the food was going to taste as awful as it did!!! It was almost to the point where it wasn't edible. I probably took a few bites and didn't touch the rest. I gave my husband some and he said it wasn't good at all. The alligator cheesecake was such a cleaver idea and cool concept, but it just didn't taste good either. I hate to say this, but I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

I had high hopes for locally brewed beer and Asian cuisine, but nothing really hit the mark. Beer was okay. Lukewarm, and decidedly not crispy nor refreshing. Our group was three and we tried a lot of the food on the menu and nothing really hit. The pickled cucumbers were good. The dumplings (which we were told by our server are handmade) were genuinely flavorless and the wrapper was way too thick and chewy. We tried the pork buns as well, same issue, a serious lack of flavor and seasoning. Pork belly entree was middling, just a flavor profile that didn't work. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was fried crispy but the sauce and toppings were unmemorable and lacked any kind of punch or umami to speak of. It came with a side of food service fries, which were crispy but served with plain old ketchup. Oh by the way everything is expensive. Starters were $15+ and most entrees, including noodle soups were $20+ which is crazy. Cocktails were $18 and no wine pour less than $16. The only thing cheap is the beer which makes sense because it was mediocre at best. Server brought the check, said "no rush" and then we waited while he sat three tables, brought drinks for three tables and took two food orders. After 15 minutes I took the bill to the till and had him run it in front of me. I still tipped because I'm not that person. Not going back, there's better beer and Asian food elsewhere.

And to round out the event was the crab Rangoon dip... it just didn't work. I sooo wanted crab rangoons after having this.
