    Roasted Vegetables Salad

There are two locations, the one on the corner is a grab and go kinda place while the one next to it is a dine in restaurant. You order at the counter and once you order you'll be given a number. Find an open table and they'll come to you when your food is ready. I ordered the roasted veggie salad which is dairy free without any modifications. The dressing was a chimichurri sauce which was very fresh. The roasted veggies were sweet potatoes and portabella mushroom. The veggies were fantastic. A great way to start my morning right!

Reasonably (these days) for chain restaurant food. Homey despite how mass produced the place & food.

4.25 rating. Order at counter to receive food at table with number. Slightly pushy cashier person upselling too much. Fantastic hash browns. Mediocre dry breakfast burrito (adding bacon made it drier somehow). BTW: the burrito came out in less than two minutes which made us feel like maybe it was someone else's rejected meal! My friends all waited 10 minutes longer than me. Incredible carrot cake. Cute interior with good seating. Decently priced. Not too loud. Might return for hash browns.

On a rare day off to see "The Odyssey" on IMAX, I was craving a burger and beer. After stepping out of the theater I made the trek to The Grove YB. I saw it on my map and then realized was right at the next block. Nice. My buddy who lives in the City also was ready to tear into something and agreed The Grove was a good choice. I had the Classic French Dip and the SF Company Presidio Pilsner. I love a French Dip and their version of it was fantastic. There was something special about their Montreal seasoning that makes me crve it more than what is considered reasonable. My buddy at the Hot Pastrami and that is something I will get the next time I am there. He too had the Pilsner. That beer is such a good complement with those classic sandwiches. Anyway, it was a great late lunch after catching a great flick. And now for the pics.

Such a lovely vibe, super quick & kind service, excellent food & fun decor! We love this place! Henry is so stellar - made our 8 y/os birthday just perfect! Thank you Henry & everyone involved!

Stopped by The Grove Yerba Buena for a healthy breakfast and ordered the Cobb Salad. The portion was generous and loaded with fresh ingredients like avocado, bacon, hard-boiled egg, tomatoes, blue cheese, and sliced chicken over a bed of greens. Everything tasted fresh, and the avocado was perfectly ripe. The atmosphere was warm and cozy with a rustic cabin-style feel, making it a comfortable spot to take a break from the busy downtown area. Service was friendly, and the food came out quickly. The salad was satisfying without feeling too heavy, and paired well with the fresh bread on the side. My lavender lemonade was refreshing and a nice complement to the meal. Overall, a solid choice if you're looking for a casual spot with healthy options near Yerba Buena. I'd definitely return to try some of their other menu items.

Honestly was really blown away by the latte, it was definitely top of the list for best coffees. The lavender palmer was nice too, a good balance of lavender lemonade and tea without being too floral. I had the eggs benedict and it was yummy, and as someone who eats gluten free I liked that the bread was of normal size, a nice lil detail. And my partner had the breakfast burrito and he said it was delicious, both were perfect portions for us!

Hot & Smoky Chicken Wings + Fresh Brewed Iced Tea
    Lisa X.

Came here previously and enjoyed some hot & smoky wings with my very art-and-food enthusiast friend after visiting SFMOMA nearby. I think we both had iced teas, too. So nice to hang out with similar interests friends as we both appreciate food and culture. Or for me, just an excuse to eat and have fun! Since it was a snack for both us to share, we were both super polite about it, but on an average day, I can probably polish these off all by myself. Delicious wings with just the right amount of smoky spices. Delightful! Located on Mission and 3rd St.

Crispy Oven Fried Chicken Sandwich with Chicken Lime Tortilla soup
    William C.

Great place for a casual meal, coffee, dessert, or drinks. Last time I went, I got the Crisp Oven Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was delicious and had an awesome crunch. I got a side of Chicken Lime Tortilla soup, which was also excellent -- very flavorful, with tender chicken. Desserts are also amazing. The vibe is casual and bustling, and the service is very friendly and efficient. Ordering is at the front counter (there's often a worker near the front door that will guide people to the counter, I'm guessing because a lot of people assume it's table service when it's not).

    Julia Y.

The florentine eggs Benedict here is so top tier! The english muffin and perfectly cooked mushrooms absolutely shine. The hashbrowns were made with rosemary, which was such a delicious touch. Multiple people in my party said they won't be eating hasbrowns without it ever again! Our service was quick and kind, and the vibe is very pleasant. We sat up on the top level in a secluded booth where chatting was easy and so was the peoplewatching haha. Would stop in here again!

I had such a great experience at The Grove Yerba Buena. The ambiance is really nice and cozy, and I especially love the upstairs seating. It feels more tucked away and relaxed. The service was also great. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the food came out quickly, which I really appreciated. Food-wise, everything was good. The prime rib was a highlight. It was soft, tender, and the portion size was generous. I also tried the Reuben sandwich. It was good overall, but the meat was slightly tough. That was my only issue, and it did not take away too much from the experience.

Grilled cheese with tomato soup and salad
    Pamela G.

I've walked by this place so many times on my way to SFMoma and never thought to stop. But a friend suggested The Grove and I'm so glad. The people there were all very nice and the lunch was great. We both had the grilled cheese sandwich combo with tomato soup and salad - and a really good dill pickle. We thought we were getting a half sandwich but it was a whole. Two types of cheese. Perfect for a foggy SF dimmer day. All the food we saw going by looked good. We saw BLTs and clubs and a lot of big salads. Also saw a full bar and that would be fun at night. I'm definitely going back.

Is there outdoor seating--even in rain?

There is a heated and covered patio.

    Do they accept reservations?

The do not accept reservations. Everyone waits in line and places their order before grabbing a table.

Do they have outlets for laptop?

I don't recall seeing people with laptops. The place is really quite busy, so people don't really stay much past enjoying their food.

Is this The Grove as in The Grove that bailed out of the Marina but may still have a location on Fillmore? That Grove?

Yes it is, Brian. I think they also have one in Hayes Valley. Fun and great location.

Because it gets very crowded during First Thursdays, the energy feels more like a social event than a typical bar night. The photo here was taken from their little loft area, which is actually really cute and a great spot for people watching since you can see the whole bar and crowd from above. One thing I wasn't sure about was the plastic cups. Every time I've gone they've served drinks in plastic cups, but since it's so busy during First Thursdays, I'm not sure if that's their normal setup or just something they do to keep things moving during the event. I ordered a rosé, which was perfectly fine and easy to drink while walking around.

Luckily, my friend had already been to Iron Horse Cocktails, and suggested we go there instead. Walking down the alleyway it is located in was a nice getaway from the otherwise hectic union square atmosphere. Walking in was also a neat experience that felt like we were stepping out of the city into a tiny pub. We also really liked the atmosphere inside and the cozy upper floor that had an interesting mix of old paintings and woodwork, creating an eclectic feel. I got the We've Got the Beet cocktail with mezcal, beet reduction, ginger, fresh citrus, thyme and firewater bitters. I love mezcal's smoky flavors and was drawn to the combination of ginger, citrus and mezcal flavors in the drink. The cocktail was very good and had a nice smokiness from the mezcal, along with the kick from the ginger and zest from the citrus, creating a refreshing and tasty drink. My friend got the About Thyme, with gin, blackberry liquor, black pepper thyme syrup and fresh citrus. We both really liked his drink as well, which had an interesting kick from the black pepper thyme syrup that offset the gin and blackberry liquor nicely. While we only had time to grab a drink each, we were both very happy with the drinks and would definitely come back the next time we're in the area.
