They are fun to drive when the roads are clear, which is when I test drove them a few times. I tested both the electric and the gas versions. The electric wont get you as far as I often need to go, so that ended up not an option for me. But they drive nicely. However, I can only recommend you do homework before considering these at all. The dealership is pleasant, and so beautiful. Makes the Honda and Toyota dealerships look rundown. But safety is the issue with a car, and the smart cars are not there yet

I didn't want to wait weeks and weeks to get the repair completed. Carmasters is nearby so I called them and got service from a first class shop. I asked Carmasters to do what they could NOT to total my car. They worked with my insurance and returned the car to me in 3 weeks just as good as new. It's not often anyone gets in an accident, I can say Carmasters when above and beyond what I expected.

I decided to take it home to a shop I know and trust, where it was determined to be a broken wire in the OSS harness. Found and fixed with total cost under $250.00. Not a huge fan and feel a bit ripped off. You get what you pay for by who you can trust. The two stars are only due to politeness of Randy but not for the service. Good Luck!

Turns out 1 month later, the car needed a transmission. It would have costed me $7,000 if I went to VW of Orchard Park. But I didn't trust them, so I took it to ATEC Transmission. They took care of me, and gave me a very reasonable price. If/when things went wrong with other parts of the car, due to a new transmission, they took care of it for me. I recommend them highly!

My father-in-law was at the dealership this afternoon for a few hours and had many questions about financing and the loan process in general. We were on the phone with him to help guide him through everything. He was repeatedly apologetic because he knew he was asking a lot of questions, and the sales representatives were patient and respectful with him. However, toward the end of the transaction--right before finalizing--the finance manager, Jim Kelley, made a highly inappropriate comment. As he was leaving the office, he said, "these fucking people," referring to my father-in-law and possibly to us on the phone with him. This comment was completely disrespectful, felt racially charged, and came entirely out of left field. After hearing this, we no longer felt comfortable giving this dealership our business. My husband asked my father-in-law to request his keys, ID, and registration back and leave. If you choose to go here, be aware of this extremely disrespectful behavior from the finance manager.

Right?" Things didn't go well. But it should have stopped the minute it didn't go well. Is it not common sense, that you call the customer before you do anything that is going to increase the costs!?! I had no idea he was going to charge me 65.00 to drive the car around the block a couple of times so as to reset the monitor on a CEL that fired during inspection. All he would have needed to do was call me and give me more details, and I would have been able to tell him I have a modded intake and I need to remove it. Then he has the balls to charge me $32.50 for a light switch "behind the clutch". So in total a $21 job, cost me $127.33. And I noticed the the next day that the tech dinged my door during his joy rides!!
