If you're looking to get some work done while having good coffee, Pause Coffee House won't disappoint. The name of the coffee shop is just it... take a pause a have some coffee! Haha But first, let's talk about space! The interior is modern and all the furnishings and decor make you feel at home! There's different styles of seating as well. They have sofas, small individual tables and chairs, large tables with shared seating and much more. Which is why I said this place makes a great place to get some work done! I ordered an iced vanilla latte and plopped myself onto their larger tables. Their vanilla latte had more coffee than vanilla (which by the way IIIIIII loveeeee). And since I was waiting for my bf to finish work, I figured I'd get some work done here as well! The staff is super friendly, drinks are good, and the space is welcoming! Not open until 6pm on Sunday, and zero indication that they close early. Drove across town to work here and they have no indication they close at 2:30pm. Even their door says Mon-Sun 7:30am-6:00pm. Not sure what it is with businesses and inconsistent hours lately, but if you change your hours have the courtesy to your customers to make it clear you've done so. read more

It's a hit or miss at this location nowadays. My recent visit I observed a customer tell the barista they forgot to add vanilla syrup into her iced latte. When I received my hot vanilla latte a few minutes later the barista made the same mistake and forgot my syrup. In addition my latte was over steamed. Instead of remaking my drink, I was given syrup on the side. I would have preferred it remade since it was a hot latte. It seems like the baristas here are lacking attention to detail. I've had better service at the Pause Fair Oaks location and feel like the baristas there are more experienced. read more

I had planned to meet my friend for coffee and I gave him the option of this spot or another nearby coffee chain. He luckily chose this space and I was delighted. This time I ordered a cappuccino and a almond croissant. The croissant was light and delicious and the cappuccino very well made. The espresso was nice - full body, low acidity - and the foam was rich and slightly sweet. The service was great and I appreciate the attention given to all the customers. I just went here with my friend!! I always get a bagel sandwich so yummy with a butterscotch latte! My friend has a baby and she loved the oatmeal!! Perfect for families as well as a good study place, I love taking my friends here. Being a college student, finding a good coffee shop that not only has good coffee but great seating is hard. Pause met my expectations for sure. The coffee was good, I got a cold brew. It wasn't extremely bitter or watered down, you can tell they didn't over brew it which I appreciate. The coffee shop itself is very cozy. I appreciate all the windows in there allowing an ample amount of natural light coming in. There weren't many outlets in the cafe which was one downfall but that's fine. Latte was delicious and nothing special about the avocado toast. I have always been a huge fan of Pause! I was so excited when they opened their Rocklin location because it was closer to where I lived. I look forward to the iced maple latte every time I go! It's amazing hot as well. Something about the maple just feels more comforting than a simple vanilla latte. Their cold brew is also exceptional. The decor is more industrial in nature so it can get a little loud in their during busy periods, but the outside patio is shaded and a great place to work if you need some Wi-Fi for work or school. read more

Under New Ownership... I have not tried the previous coffee shop "Origin Coffee & Tea" but I can say that I'm excited to see Pause Coffee at this location which is only 2 min away from my house. I've been to their Fair Oaks location numerous times and I'm a fan of that location... with that said as soon as I saw a new location close to me I had to give them a try. Location is great which is in a small shopping center right off Sunset & Park. Parking lots are plenty but It may get a little busy during lunch hour since McDonalds is right across. Service on my first visit was great and I was greeted by the gentleman in the front as soon as I walked in. Inside is spacious with plenty of seats and same thing can be said of the outside. Now onto the coffee. I went with a regular Maple Latte and it was a great choice. I can definitely taste the rich coffee flavor which was not overpowering but at the same time I got a kick of the maple syrup "great combination of both" I know they'll have to work a little bit on the deco and inside seating but that should be expected since they just took over like 8-10 days ago. Looking for good quality coffee? --This won't be the place to have it, sadly. I ordered the maple latte and my boyfriend ordered the mocha. We were both pretty disappointed about how sweet they both tasted. It was hard for me to drink the rest of my maple latte, so I ordered a tall cup of glass, drank it half way and poured the coffee into the glass cup. It was easier to drink, but still very sweet, so I didn't finish the drink. Customer service here was so-so. The barista and cashier didn't seem to know the menu well, and it may have been that this place was under new ownership. It was disappointing to stand in front of the cashier and ask a question about the sandwiches and having her not know what was inside the Italian panini. The Italian panini was okay too. Probably will buy again if I was hungry. This place has free WiFi, and a great place to hangout and do school/business work. Probably will never buy coffee here again, but might come back to work on a few papers from school. Parking can be hard to find because of limited parking. It also fills up really fast if you come later in the day. I've also been to origins coffee before they were under new ownership and I enjoyed their coffee, it wasn't the best beans I've had, but good enough to drink and enjoy. So pretty disappointed that the coffee drinks went downhill for me. read more

This is just a really Large coffee place that has literally nothing in it. There were not. very many options at all or really anything to offer it's overpriced and it's clicky. The girls that are at the front are young and not very willing to make good menu options. I asked for iced coffee. They only offered me one option I asked for some flavoring in it. She just poured a bunch of maple syrup at the bottom of my cup not for six dollars for barely a medium I just feel like there's better places. I was just kind of disappointing. It looks like everything's possibly premade as well. A lot of money to pay for a small coffee and have it not really do the job. I'm gonna try to drink this down but it's not very good. Oh, and keto drinkers beware there's no heavy cream at this place either they only offered half-and-half and basically they just shove you a cup of cold pour and there's cream in the corner and you make your own coffee, so I'm not quite sure what I paid the extra tax amount, for they didn't even make my coffee read more

Wow! This coffee is so yummy!! I had a lavender latte which was as so delicate and delicious. I met a friend here and was surrounded with people meeting for coffee, doing school work, working. I ordered a pastry and met a friend. It's the total coffee shop ambiance you'd expect which is something I've been looking for since moving to Roseville. I absolutely recommend this over Starbucks any day. Go give them a visit and try the lavender latte. My girl friend also tried the oatmeal and it looked bomb! Came here in the morning because I needed coffee and a quiet place to work. Love the ambient is great, both inside and outside. Outside tables were in a size alley so traffic going in front of the coffee shop is not bothersome at all. Tried this place for the first time a couple days ago and was a big fan! Ordered two iced coffees, the maple and honey lavender. Both very good and on the sweeter side. Loved how you could taste the lavender in my coffee. I got the avocado toast. They put a lot of avocado on it which is awesome! I'd say the avocado mixture was a little sweet which was odd and the sun dried tomatoes on it weren't good but they were easy to pick off. My boyfriend got the savory crepe and seemed to enjoy it. I love the pause coffee in fair oaks so I figured coming to the Rocklin one it would be the same. Maybe they are understaffed, and that's why the workers are grumpy. Prior to ordering, two men who were asking for a refund bc they had been waiting too long (5 ppl were in the seating area).I thought nothing of it. I smiled at the cashier and said hello and she said nothing. Which was awkward, so I order my drink my husband ordered his and we went on to order a food item and she says "our kitchen doesn't open till 10". Which is fine but I look at the time and it's 9:54.. I just think she could have said that the kitchen staff comes in at 10 if you don't mind waiting. So I at least had the option to. Good coffee just bad service experience so we will drive a little further to the fair oaks location. Hope that girls day got better! read more
