We hashed out the details with Nate over email. Our area was 8.5 feet by 21.5 feet and involved digging out the subgrade, setting concrete and rebar, tiles (including a curved path), and gravel. We set the construction date for February 19th which lasted until February 25th. Jesus, the foreman, was great at communicating the steps required for the build. He would often check in to make sure that we got the end product we desired and was receptive to feedback for the design. With their workmanship guarantee, we have nothing to worry about. Overall, the process was smooth and hassle free. We would be happy to recommend them to others for their landscaping needs.

Over the course of a 1.5 week project, I would hear the crew chatting with each other and it seemed like they enjoy working together too. I reached out to about 10 contractors for quotes and Juan's bid was in the mid-range. From the first walk-through, he was knowledgable and asked questions to help me understand what my options are. Unlike some others, he was never pushy and that made me feel more comfortable about working together going forward. He estimated that the entire project (leveling the backyard, building a short wall, French drain, and adding gravel) would take 2 weeks and they finished ahead of schedule. I am so happy to finally have a usable, outdoor space! If I ever want to do more with the hill, I will use KB Landscape for sure.

Juan and his crew landscaped our backyard and installed a new front lawn after we got our pool…read moreremoved. We were working with a landscape architect who provided the designs. The crew installed all the plants, decomposed granite, and irrigation perfectly. Our architect also commented that she really liked the crew and that Juan in particular was very knowledgeable. Not to mention Juan is just a really nice guy and was open to the small changes we had to make as we were doing installation. In total it took three weeks to complete the entire project. His crew was great and Juan also works with them, he doesn't just only project manage. He was here all day nearly every day with the crew. It's a small company but they do great work, pay attention to detail like grading, and clean up after themselves every day. They did such a good job, after he finished we asked him to help redo a fence later as well and also continue to come biweekly to maintain the yard.

Four years later and still unfinished. Terrific people but terrible follow through. They had…read moreexcellent ratings and that is the reason why we decided to go with this company. I have waited a long time to write this review because the owner and his son were genuinely terrific to work with initially. They did a full major renovation of our backyard, install installing pavers turf and decorative rocks. However, after four years awaiting my patient has completely run out. Immediately after the initial installation, we noticed an issue with the turf. I contacted them numerous times and I have a fully documented timeline of all our correspondence. When they finally came out to repair it, their solution was to drive at least 60+ more nails into the ground, which I believe ultimately compromise that are further. Fast-forward a few years, they finally admitted the turf material itself was faulty, and that the manufacturer had gone out of business. To their credit, they offered to replace it without charge for labor, but we still had to shell out a significant amount of money out-of-pocket for the new material materials. We agreed just to get the project done, but here we are four years later and our backyard is still not completed! On top of the ongoing turf saga, the pavers are now sinking in certain areas, and we were left short on the decorative rocks we paid for well I do receive replies to my messages promising that the rocks will be delivered. They never actually arrive. The bottom line moon race is run by nice people who do good initial work but their follow up warranty execution in ability to finish a project is terrible. I am incredibly frustrated. The project of the scale and expense has dragged on for four years with no end in sight.
