I recently worked with Donnie at Paymer and Phillips to diagnose and fix a water leak in our car, replace damaged carpeting and repair a torn seat. It wound up being a fairly big job that required insurance involvement, and Donnie helped me navigate the murky waters of the insurance world. He was knowledgeable about what needed to be done and the repairs were done in a reasonable timeframe. It wasn't cheap, given the amount of work they did, but the work was very high quality and worth every penny. I'd happily recommend Paymer and Phillips for this type of work. read more

This is a horrible company that does not stand by their product. Pete is a liar and not a man of his word, the work they did was crap and they couldn't figure out why the new sunroof my dealer had installed was not working. The solution, I had to trade a brand new 2021 Honda Accord in for another. Fortunately Ourisman Honda stood by me and agreed this was a crap install. They vowed to never use Paymer and Phillips again. I feel I deserve a refund but after this horrific experience with Paymer and Phillips, that is not going to happen. BEWARE!! I wanted to have a sunroof installed. I made an appointment and dropped my vehicle off at 7am. I had my vehicle back at 4:30 the same day with a professionally installed sunroof. It looks factory installed. Of course depending on the days work load is why my work was done so fast. At any rate, thanks Paymer Phillips. (The only reason I didn't give 5 stars? It would've been nice for someone to accompany the customer to the vehicle to make sure they were satisfied with the job) read more

AWFUL service. We took our brand new mini van here for a DVD player that cost $1,000 and BARELY works. They didn't even install it correctly and basically said you have a brand new vehicle and it works stop complaining... Someone that works there that picked up our car took it to a LIQUOR store also and no one sees anything wrong with that?? Scratches are now in our cup holder from them and black marks on our ceiling by the DVD player. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

They repaired my headliner interior to my convertible top. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The timeline given was two days shorter than it actually took for the repairs, so no big deal. Only thing I would recommend is that they set up a voicemail box for after hours phone calls and that they set up an overnight key drop box. Sometimes it is difficult for people who work a 9-5 to get to the shop during office hours. read more

He was very easy to work with, the shop turned the project around quickly and then dropped everything to make some minor modifications (tweaks) after the fact without any questions asked. My father took his two front seats from my 69 Camaro up to these guys. They took almost 3mths to complete the job. In addition the did not finish it to the standards we discussed. They added more cushion to the driver seat and did not discuss with me. I took the driver seat back up there and they just still did not address the issue. I would not recommend these guys at all. I had a horrible experience. Very unprofessional and I would NOT recommend them to anyone who understands cars and what you want from them. read more

I'd had problems with an aftermarket remote starter for my car that my mechanic was unable to untangle for me. After Googling the problem, I realized that remote starters need to be re-programmed after you replace the battery. The shop that installed the starter is no longer in business, but after Googling (again) the name on my remote, I found Paymer and Phillips. Long story short, Pete was able to fit me in on a Friday afternoon of Easter weekend to get me on my way. (The car had been leaving me stranded - not starting - 3 times in the past week.) Really grateful to have this finally resolved! read more

Used them for replacement of retractable sunshade in an Audi. They were responsive by email & phone to arrange parts order & vehicle dropoff, did fine work replacing the sunshade, & charged about $500 to $1000 less than dealer quote for the same job. I would recommend them & use them again for similar work. read more

Recently I experienced flood damage to my car. I was concerned that it might not be able to be restored to "new". The shop assessed the damage, and provided an fair estimate. They worked with my insurance company and provided a timeline for me. The car was beautifully restored back to "new"- very impressive! I would not recommend this garage. We used them to restore our car after water damage due to a flood, and while I was very impressed with their initial professionalism and thoroughness, they did not fix the car and would not admit to our insurance company that it was not fixed. They maintained they had fixed the car the whole time, even though the car would not start sometimes and was completely unreliable for driving even short distances. After getting the car back initially and driving it a few days it became obvious the car had a few minor issues, such as a really overpowering mildew smell in some places and it was making sounds it didn't used to make when braking. We asked them to look at it again, and I felt very positive they were going to fix it the second time around. I was shocked when they sent it back still broken and wrote a very defensive receipt about the issues. They denied there was a problem with the brakes even though they were VERY loud. They ended up taking it to a dealership who identified the brake problem and fixed the mistake they made with the brakes. No apology or anything, they just pretended they weren't wrong about it. It seemed like they were trying to create a narrative of me as 'the customer who couldn't be satisfied" by creating a paper trail of things they tried and how there was no problem at all. For example, they wrote that they tested one of the problems with a representative from my insurance company in the car and there was no issue, but what they wrote on the paper was a DIFFERENT problem than the one I sent it back for entirely. (I described a thumping when braking, they wrote something completely different about shaking in the steering wheel, so essentially they deceived the insurance rep by misrepresenting the problem). Then the car started having MAJOR issues, like the fact that it would not start at all. They took the car back AGAIN. At this point we wanted to take it anywhere else but here, but we were stuck with them. They said they couldn't find any issue and declared the car was fixed. He made it sound like we were trying to scam our insurance for a new car by asking that it be totaled, but in reality getting a new car was AT LEAST a $6,000.00 dollar loss and not representative of what we really wanted, which was simply a car that worked reliably. (I never wanted a new car!) This whole issue could have been avoided if they had been straight forward about everything. Rather than getting defensive, take a look at the car with an open mind that something might not be right. If the problem was not in your original contract, just simply communicate this to the customer rather than getting defensive. If you can't fix it, you're still getting paid for the work you have already done by our insurance company, admit you can't fix every car that gets damaged. read more

no stars no stars yelp makes you select at least one... the worst service ever!! the owner is very nasty and they will jack your car up and act like they will fix the issue. the person who was specialized in sunroofs cant be certified.... removed fused box inside of the car to get to the drainage tube for the sunroof ((really)) causing all types of vehicle malfunction because he/they didn't know how to fix what he/they said they didn't brake! the owner had my vehicle for 5 days and finally took it to the dealership and lied and said the vehicle was brought into his shop that way!! after battling back and forth; i received a rental after waiting for nealry 8 hours to get it fix and the next day without a vehicle the owner finally agrees to get me a rental just before closing. oh, i didn't mention that i paid over $300 for crabby service and delayed vehicle and had to deal with a nasty owner! read more

they had installed leather seat in my car. later i observed seat are cracking at many location. Since seat cover still under warranty, i gave my car for a week and rent a car. I received call after two day and told me, they are going to clean clean all cracks instead of replacing with new one since its come out. they are going to change only one seat cover since it is not going clean. After 4 days, i received another call from them and told me they order wrong parts. they need more then week to replace seat but they clean other cracks and inspected by third part. When i got my car back after week, cracks are still observed at cleaned area. I called them again and they told me they need to inspect again. which will cost me again for rent a car. I went other location since seat cover under warranty by mfg. Other location change my all seat covers but they cost me labor work. At last, I paid for rent a week and labor work at other location. Non of work done. Paymer & Phillips cost me time and money both. I am not going recommend any one with shop ... I hope my experience with Paymer & Phillips will help you in future. thank read more

horrible service the manager up there is so rude and nasty talked down to me like I didn't know anything! repair they did to my vehicle horrible and when I started to question it they blew me off saying either I didn't know what I was talking about or that's how it is in every other vehicle! will never use them again will never recommend them.
