It can be difficult to find honest and reliable HVAC companies, but this experience stood out. I had several questions prepared about my refrigerant, capacitor, and overall system, but I found that I did not even need to ask them because Jerry naturally addressed those topics during our conversation and explained everything clearly. He also completed a detailed inspection of my HVAC closet and offered a helpful recommendation for a better filter. The service was straightforward, with a flat fee and no upselling or pressure, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be using Cold Comfort again for my annual maintenance.

Jary (who helped us when we first moved in) came out on Tuesday and said we had a leak somewhere since the closed-system unit was totally out of coolant. He came back Weds. to do the leak detection and found the leak, recommended a new coil. We had the new coil installed on Friday; this time it was Ricardo and team that did the work installing the coil. They did a great job and a couple hours later our house was back to normal temperature. Gabriel helped us with all the coordination and estimates and seeing if the part was still under warranty (it wasn't, but I didn't expect it would be honestly.) No one likes spending a bunch of money on repairs but I'm very confident that the recommendations Jary made were sound and correct. He did not attempt to upsell me at all, which is greatly appreciated. (The estimates Gabriel sent did include options for replacing the unit, but that wasn't necessary at this time and there was no pressure to do so.) I will continue to call them if we have issues in future with our HVAC system.

Although I've learned that I can call just before my appointment and get a more realistic one. The AI customer service bot is trying my nerves, though. It does seem to work, but really, how un-personal can you be? It would be one thing if it told you upfront, "hi, my name is Ally and I'm your AI customer service". At least you'd know what you were dealing with. When humans are involved, everything is top notch. If it weren't for the 8-hour window and AI bot, I'd give it 5 stars.

Today I got earlier before 8AM in case I am the first call. By 3PM, I am still waiting. I got a call from the technician that he will arrive in 20 mins., so much for the 30 minutes advance call. Joel Hernandez finally arrived at 3:45Pm. He was very polite and pleasant and I really liked the job he did. He was thorough and explained everything to me. My problem is not with Joel but with GAC. The 8 hour window is ridiculous, inconvenient, and frustrating. I have been a customer since 2013. Bring back the 4 hour window so I am not restricted to be within 30 minutes from my house if I want to do some errands. Otherwise I have to look elsewhere for my HVAC and electrical needs.

    I was having a fair amount of dust accumulating on my floors, and thought that I should have a duct…read morecleaning. I spoke with Mike at Air Repair, and he came over (on time) a couple of days later. He saw that my house was relatively new, and asked me when it was built (Dec 2019 - 4 years ago). He took a look at the ducts in the furnace room and said that cleaning the ducts would not help as they are already clean. He recommended changing the air filter a bit more frequently and said that the dust was probably normal. Next, I asked him to look at our dryer vent/tube. He said he would need to come back for that, and he did - on time. Wow! He quickly and efficiently cleared out the dryer tube, vent, and dryer filter. He showed me before and after pictures. He also advised me on how to clean the dryer more efficiently with a long bristle brush and flat vacuum hose nozzle. Very friendly, polite, on-time, and reasonably priced. No pressure, just good consultative advice and efficient, effective service. Call him, he will help you. Thanks, Mike!!

Mike came out on time, gave a very reasonable price, and got the job done quickly and cleanly. He was very communicative about what he'd done and gave helpful recommendations for cleaning it moving forward. I would definitely recommend Mike and Air-Repair again.

    i don't understand the ratings here…read more.. they installed the top-of-line Carrier Infinity Hybrid system 15 yrs ago...and now tweaked the system to "new" performance levels... i'm not a shill, but a happy customer... they've always been Top Notch service and Best pricing for me... respectful of my time & property & wallet... go figure...they've always been truly a professional outfit for a demanding customer (most consider me a PIA)...makes me think some of these reviews might be from the competition...

The tech proceeded to inquire why he was there - did not know. They proceed to inform me Refrigerant was low without explanation (Me not being in trade does not know what that means). They asked if I want replaced. I asked how much - Tech says "I don't know". He proceeds to ask the "supervisor" who also says "I don't know" They then told me it will be $575 for 1.5 lbs of refrigerant which I agreed to. However - I decided to research why it is low and the consensus is likely a leak. This information was never volunteered to me so I am asking why it was not discussed with me or informed to me and the only thing they were concerned was me to sign the agreement for the refrigerant placement (were quick to shove cell phone in face to sign). The "supervisor" got angry and got in my face saying I'm being rude. (Apparently they think its inappropriate or rude when you try to get more information about what is going on that you are paying for). So I got upset and I argued with the "supervisor" "how can you get upset at me for being upset that I was not given the whole picture/information but quick to ask me to sign and confirm the charge for the replacement?" Then this "Supervisor" proceeded to call the office and berate me and talk trash about me to the office and they packed up and left. Called another group - Tech came in - checked my AC units and informed me that the refrigerant is NOT LOW. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY
