I've just finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Steven Ritholtz and it was a great experience. I previously had braces but stopped wearing retainers, and a lot of my teeth had shifted. Dr. Ritholtz quickly got me set up with Invisalign retainers and I was done after about 5 months. The process was straightforward , and Dr. Ritholtz was helpful with answering any questions and concerns I had. I am NEVER going to PDA Dental again. After going there for several years, one of the receptionists told me that they had to cancel my appt because I was 15 min late. I understand that its important to be timely but this can happen to anyone! So I told the receptionist, "isn't that within the time limit to honor the appt?" She said, "no, its 10 min." WTH? But I had called at 12:36pm (proof attached) to let you know I was running late and that I was already heading there! First off, I was 100% sure my appt was at 1:00pm and not 12:30pm, but when I saw the text I practically ran from my office to try and get there on time and hence why I called - to be courteous! Also, I never received a confirm email or text prior to that text! I rushed and yet when I got there they said that the only thing they could do was reschedule me for later in the day. I can't just take more time away from work!? Plus there was absolutely NO ONE in the waiting area! This type of customer service is inexcusable. You're treating people like a simple number! No flexibility on your part? Then none on mine either. There are so many other dentists in the area - you just lost a client - I mean a number (and several digits every six months!). But then again, I guess the owner doesn't need the money seeing as how PDA employees treat their clients. One star is too much. SMH! read more

The dentists were great at first and we always thought we were visiting a good practice. Until we visited another dentist and found out that all five crowns done at this practice were poorly made, root canal checked was left incomplete and now we are spending a fortune, again, to re-do all the work done by the Dr at this office. After reaching out the owner, Dr Riholtz, he said he stands by his doctors and he believes the crowns are looking great. Maybe he is also a poor dentist then, as all three dentists we checked (insurance, new practice and the new endodontis) confirmed that job was poorly made, with a gap left between crown and tooth, resulting in bacteria, another root canal and a decay teeth on all five Crowns done). My recommendation, after spending over $3,000 at this practice is: STAY AWAY and go find a good doctor yourself. read more

Here are the facts of my utterly horrific experience with this practice: They determined that I needed a root canal. The root canal was performed by Cohen The next week I saw a female dentist and she said that Dr Cohen had cracked my tooth. She said she would speak to the office and that I should come back in a week. When I came back and she was gone and I was passed to another dentist. The new dentist was very cold so I asked to see somebody else and they told me to come back and see Dr Steven. So I made an apt to see him. A few days later the cracked tooth split in half and half of it fell out. I came right in to see Dr Steven who had the rest of the tooth removed and said I would have to get an implant right away. I told him that I needed to speak to management because they cracked the tooth and I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be charged. The manager (a gentlemen who's name I can't remember) agreed that it was an unfair situation and said he was going to speak to the corp office. I continued with the process, because I was told "it had to be done" I was waiting for a call back from the gentlemen but it never came and I finally found out he had also left the practice. . Meanwhile they were continuing the process of completing the crown. I kept asking Dr Steven about the outcome of the situation (the fact that they cracked the tooth) and he kept telling me that he only deals with the clinical stuff and that I had to speak with the office manager but he warned me that company had been sold to a big corporation. I continued trying speak to the new manager but nobody was calling me back. In the meantime Dr Steven completed the crown. Two weeks later it fell out. When I went in a few days later Dr Steven spent an hour trying to screw it back in and I was crying he pain. Finally he gave up and said my gums cut back open to get it back in. Which I did and which was very unpleasant. In the following weeks I kept calling to get hold of the new office manager who was rude and unhelpful and said the same thing as Dr Steven that the company had been bought out by a big corporation and that they would likely not care about the situation. A few months later the tooth came loose. I came in and Dr Steven spent over an hour trying to get it screwed back in and it was extremely painful. I even had bruises the next day. 6 months later it came loose again! Once again I tried to speak to the manager but was stone walled. Once again Dr Steven spent over an hour trying to get a new screw back in. This time it was extremely painful. I was crying in agony and he finally gave me Novocain. He said the screw would allow him to get more accurate 'digital scanning of the tooth'. The Novocain did nothing. Every time I went to spit there was a lot of blood. Eventually he gave up and said he couldn't get it in. He then tried a different screw to make a 'mold impression.' This was also agony but he kept trying to screw it in while I kept telling him I was in agony. After taking the mold he then tried to screw in a temporary cap which was the most painful of all. I kept stopping to spit and seeing more and more blood. He kept saying he's not sure why it's causing so much pain. He then said that I have to come back in two weeks to have a whole new crown put back in. I told him that I can't go through being cut open again to fit the new one in and he said that 'he thinks' he can do it without the surgeon. So far they have billed my insurance thousands and I have also paid Five thousand for a tooth that they cracked and they have failed to do an implant that will stay screwed in! read more

Loved going to this dental group. Everyone was so kind from the front desk staff, to the dental hygienists and the dentists as well. Booking appointments was easy as well as rescheduling them given my crazy, unstable schedule as a freelancer. Several appointments were bundled into one and at one point I even had a tooth pulled the same day I came in for a diagnosis. Highly recommend! Had an amazing experience with Dr. Galler and Invisalign. I was previously told that my bottom teeth were too crooked for Invisalign and I would have to either put on traditional braces or have a bottom tooth pulled to make space for the others to shift. Premier Dental Associates offers a great staff of hygienists and very thorough cleaning. I'm grateful that my insurance offers multiple cleanings each year, which is why I come here regularly. I initially visited the practice because I was impressed by my first visit with Gus, and found that Marie and Catherine offer stellar cleaning of my teeth as well. All the hygienists are personal and professional. And they provide handy goody bags with a replacement toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, and lip balm - a nice touch. I also took my child here for her first dentist visit earlier this year, and it went well without her being traumatized :) Penny toys, the assistant dressed as Dr. Seuss, and a new toothbrush put her over the top. I can't speak too much for the dentists since (thankfully) I don't have any issues with my teeth. I do hear they rotate a lot here. But for cleanings and speedy visits, Premier does well. I'm in and out of the office in less than an hour. read more

The office is beautiful and I don't have a single complaint about the quality of care I've received. The best part about this practice is that I couldn't tell you my doctors name and it doesn't even matter because they aren't the one who make the practice so amazing. Being a Englishman, you know of the American smile. The gleaming beacon of white that is often associated with Hollywood. We tend to be known for more our crocked teeth with maybe a dash of yellow pigment. Maybe that was just me, I needed to change up my game, get over my fear of dentists and gain that American smile. My wife booked in an appointment for herself at Premier and came back raving about its services. The staff, her dentist, the full 9 yards. People don't often rave about dentists so thought maybe these are the guys. I booked myself in and 5 days later found myself in a place I feared the most, but this time it was different. The staff had already made me feel comfortable and after some initial paper work I was about to met my dentist. A Gus Mantuano was the man for the job. Feeling out of my comfort zone I was a little standoff ish but he broke down that barred with his welcoming personality. He then proceeded to talk about each step of what he wanted to achieve today and always gave time and space for questions. After X-rays and then an extremely thorough clean (I needed it) he again talked me through what I needed to do to up my oral hygiene. It was never patronizing, it was informal but he also genuinely cared. Gus Mantuano wants you to have the best teeth possible, he is not looking at you as just another patient, each person who visits him I truly believe are treated in the same personal one on one way that works for them. I have since been back for further work and have already scheduled check up appointments going into 2018. I honestly don't think I would ever find myself writing a review about a dentist but I could not recommend this practice and Gus more highly, American Smile and all! read more

I've been in the city for a while now and I realized it was time I really dragged myself to the dentist. I have to say I am relieved and pleasantly surprised. Someone mentioned that the office looks a bit like a spa and I have to agree. It is a much more relaxing atmosphere in which to wait, especially if the thought of seeing a dentist makes one a bit nervous as it does me. The front office staff were helpful, friendly, and professional. Alma was gentle with the cleaning, very thorough, and didn't talk to me like I was some sort of jackass. Sadly I cannot remember my dentist's name and she is not currently on the website but I immediately liked her. Rather than coming in and recommending expensive and frightening dental work she told me I will likely need some crowns but there is no rush. This place is shocking Shockingly great! I have gone through hell and back with my wisdom teeth (to be fair, I'm 31, so It's my fault I have them all but still I'm trying to make a point here). My regular Brooklyn dentists were helpful throughout the years but none were willing to take out my wisdom teeth because ALL are either impacted or on the nerve or both. Not only that, but my old insurance was TRASH and refused to pay for an X-ray citing it as an unnecessary medical procedure (I mean, everyone knows that making sure you don't paralyze a man's face by knowing exactly where his nerves are is just superfluous amiright?) So many years and a city job later I went armed with actual useful insurance and saw the dentists here after checking their reviews on Zocdoc. This was by far the best experience I have at at a Dentist's Office in my life. My doctor's bedside manner was 10/10, and even when I had two of my wisdom teeth removed (which, was, an, experience) she checked in on me after the surgery - she totally didn't need to do that, or maybe she did, but her bedside manner was so dam good that she made me FEEL like she cared so much she wanted to check on me. If you're going to go to a dentist only go here. If you want your teeth looking and feeling clean by a master of their craft only see Dr. Michelle Han. If you have crazy ass wisdom teeth that other Orthopedic Surgeons fear to even touch, only have your surgery done by the fearless by Dr. Mendel Markowitz I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
