    Happy meal or adult meal?
    Tyler S.

$8 Happy Meal?! I ordered PDQ for the first time in awhile and is it me or did the portions shrink? The price is about the same but the fries got smaller. I love PDQ and am really disappointed with the smaller sizes. I will definitely be thinking twice before going again in the future. I wanted to share this in case anyone else was surprised by this so they would know what to anticipate. I did download the PDQ app to place this order online ahead of arriving and it was ready in 7 minutes. I had someone else pick up the order too through the drive thru which was easy and safe with COVID.

This location does not miss! This location is by far the best in the Tampa Bay Area. Let me start by saying that the staff here is great! Specifically, the managers Robert and Marissa. They are always very welcoming, inviting and make sure the whole operation runs smoothly. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The kitchen seems to run very efficiently when you see them working on the food in the back. Very organized! No kitchen chaos like most restaurants. This location is always very clean and tidy and the vibe is very warm. I love to eat here with my kids and the rewards program is awesome as well. No complaints just superb service. Thank you Robert, Marissa and the rest of the team! Really appreciate you!

Went to PDQ for the first time. The broccoli is the best broccoli I have ever eaten. The salad is pretty good too. The workers were nice. I wish they had gluten free French fries. I will definitely go back for the broccoli.

I'm not sure if it is just this location or if it's the whole chain, but this place is ALWAYS on point! The food has never been anything less than fresh, delicious, and delivered with a smile. I absolutely love their sauces! I'm not sure if they are made in the house but they certainly taste like it! They don't taste like the packaged stuff from other fast food chains with extra ingredients you can't pronounce. It literally tastes like the stuff I make at home! I also love being able to order on their app and having it ready in 5 minutes! The only feedback I could give is I wish they would give more dressing with salads. Sure, I can ask for more, but a side salad comes with one container. An entree salad should automatically come with two.

Dinner date with the grandkids. We decided to take them to PDQ for the following reasons: 1. All things Chicken. All kids love Tenders and Nuggets 2. The selection. Salads. Bowls. Sandwiches. Tenders. Nuggets. And so much more. 3. The sauces. I love Honey Mustard. But the Grandkids love Ranch. PDQs Ranch is pretty amazing. 4. The dining in option. Great atmosphere. 5. The Shakes. Let's say.... A-amazing!!! I can go on and on. There are so many great qualities about this location.

I love PDQ. Why?? It's perfect comfort food. Waffle fries. Crispy chicken tenders. All smothered with their insanely delicious sweet creamy sriracha sauce. Just left a Yelp event overly sugared (but happy) when I knew I needed some real food like a responsible grown up, so of course I went for chicken strips with fries. I did add a side salad for good measure, so I could feel like guilty. As I digress, I love PDQ. Tenders are perfect fat, juicy, and crisp on the outside and go amazing with my fave sweet sriracha sauce. Their waffle fries were also perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. I rarely do drive through, but I was feeling extra lazy and tired, and wanted to not get out of the car and park yet one more time, so I opted this way. Luckily, the wait was not long at at all, and in no time, I got my food before I could even have chance to check in on my phone. I was so pleased that they gave me more than enough sauce to smother the fries and tenders to the very last bite, which stayed perfectly hot even during the long journey back home. Side salad is side salad, not much to write home about, but it was decent and did the job. PDQ is always a good choice.

I just wanted to get out of the house and try a place that I hadn't been to for some time. Driving along Dale Mabry I came across PDQ in Carrollwood. The last time I went to one of their outlets was about 7 or 8 years ago when I worked near their test kitchen off Independence Parkway. I was pleasantly surprised to find out their food is still made with tasty ingredients. The grilled chicken sandwich (didn't try the meal) is your basic combo with lettuce, slices of pickle, fresh tomato and mildly seasoned chicken breast meat. The vegetables are all very fresh, crispy and moist which handily offsets the natural dryness of breast meat. Even the bun was fresh! At $7 it's definitely worth it if you're hungry but not starving enough to order the meal (roughly $11).

I loved the sauces. The sandwich was good however the fries were not warm, and service is ok.

Over dressed sandwiches now featuring hair.

Over dressed, one slice of lettuce, and smooshed bread, now with hair. Quality at this place is 0star.

The 3 1/2 star rating seems accurate to me. Food was just okay. Customer service was good. Place wasn't the cleanest when I was there. Not sure if I would return.

    Mediterranean salad is excellent.
    Tasha M.

Quick and easy review. All foods are prepared fresh and a step above a usual "fast food" restaurant. I typically go for the tenders of course but on occasion will go the their mediterranean salad. Full of flavor and fresh. All in all a good option for a quick drive thru meal.

It took 4 visits to finally find it open. School kids and his personal life are the reason for the tardy hours. I ordered a 12 pc meal with fries and cole slaw. The chicken pieces were massive, 2-3 times the size of fast food chicken, like the ones in grocery stores. While not as good as my homemade it was very good and will now be part of the take-out rotation at home. Fries were very good, previously frozen. Slaw did not have my preference of mayo or flavor profile but the wife liked it. Most days he opens between 12pm and 1pm. He did share his cell number with me so I could call in orders even when he is not yet at the truck and we can arrange a pick up time. Sweet!! Come get you some.

First impression? Bright, clean, and super inviting. The branding and artwork pop, and the open kitchen window where you can watch everything being made is a power move. That level of transparency always earns points with me. We went all in: #4 Hot Honey Chicken Tender Combo - 3 jumbo tenders tossed in hot honey garlic, fries, and a mini glazed donut #5 Fried Chicken Sandwich Combo - 2 tenders with honey mustard and pickles Plus four Mega Donuts: Peanut Butter Explosion, Caramel & Sea Salt, Cookies & Cream, and Cinnamon Roll Let's start with the donuts... These Mega Donuts are no joke. Thick, loaded, and extremely filling. Every single one hit. The Peanut Butter Explosion and Cookies & Cream stood out, but honestly there wasn't a weak link in the lineup. Now the chicken... The Hot Honey Tenders were juicy, flavorful, and coated in a sauce that had that sweet heat balance. The flavor oddly reminded me of something you'd get from Panda Express, but in the best way possible. The mini glazed donut on the side? Dangerous. Soft, sweet, and the perfect contrast to the tenders. The Chicken Sandwich was just as solid. Same juicy tenders, perfectly balanced with honey mustard and pickles so nothing overpowered the bite. Fries? They were fine. Nothing crazy, nothing bad...just there. Everything came out fresh, and even though there was a small wait (which makes sense for made-to-order food), the staff still apologized. That kind of service doesn't go unnoticed. Final verdict... Great food, great atmosphere, and a concept that actually delivers on both sides of the menu. We'll definitely be back, especially to check out the breakfast menu before 11am and grab some of the donuts we missed when they sold out earlier. This one lived up to the hype!

The fried rice was super flavorful, and this is something I typically miss at typical Chinese food restaurants as I cannot eat pork. Of course, no pork in this fried rice. My partner got the sesame chicken, and I presume it was amazing because he wolfed it down so fast, I didn't have to even sneak a bite. The Japanese fried chicken was a 10 out of 10! It was lightly breaded, flavorful, and crispy. This place is a gem. I seriously recommend it and may even go back today. When we were eating, someone came in and ordered a mango matcha. Cons: Prices are a bit expensive for what you get. Most dishes are in the $17-19 range. I was expecting either a lot more food quantity or a knockout taste. I know this is an independent restaurant, but it seems excessive. The meal I had is almost equivalent to a meal from the rank and file Chinese restaurants all around Tampa or Panda Express. The Orange Chicken had minimal spice. It's supposed to be sweet AND spicy. Pandas is just sweet and I'm afraid Fry and Wok follows the same beats. Liangs Asian bistro in New Tampa has OC that is sweet and spicy. It seems odd to me to do your own take on Americanized Chinese and not improve on it. No one asked me about spice level when I ordered FYI. I asked for tap water and I got hot tap water with no ice. I looked at the menu and all their drinks are $6-7 boba drinks but no canned or bottled soda . In this economy, they should serve some thing cheap as you're getting into $23/24 for one meal. Overall: It's a serviceable place to get Americanized Chinese but the prices and lack of spice make it redundant when there are so many similar and cheaper places.
