I have been back customer since this chicken alternative has opened up. I love their grilled chicken salad with blueberry vinaigrette, cranberry and shaved honey roasted almonds. It is perfection. Today they impressed me with the ability they had to produce top quality chicken strip platters that they offered to give you an additional platter for free if you bought a platter of 25 strips or more. My hats off to them for this small company to be swamped cars lined up around the building and the line of people in the diner out the front door and they took the challenge and won our loyalty. Shame on Hooters couldn't handle this type of pressure. My family will continue to use PDQ for all our personal and catering needs. read more

We came here to try the food and see how the restaurant was set up. I like that they have the Coke machines with 70 different combinations and the food came out really fast and was good. I had the chicken tender meal with creamy garlic sauce and I liked how natural the chicken tasted and the breading is great. Not another fast food place--but they do have a drive thru. This place is like a guilty pleasure for me: I know I probably shouldn't think it's the bees knees, but I *do*. I have literally had weeks where I am here enough they learn my order. I don't know what it is, exactly, that makes it so special. I'm a big fan of PDQs juicy crisp chicken, their fries, and especially their homemade sauces! I have never liked honey mustard, but my husband got it once with his meal and couldn't stop raving about it. I then tried honey mustard at some other restaurant, only to be very disappointed. Yuck! Well, the next time I went to PDQ, I ordered the chicken with the honey mustard for dipping, (my husband insisted it was unlike any other) and he was right! It was so good. So now, whenever we grab a bite from there, I ask for extra HM and bring it home for him. He then proceeds to dig through the refrigerator and pantry trying to find anything to dip in it. read more

PDQ is pretty good and although the service is awesome I would Still say they fall just a little short of their competition at Chick-Fil-A. Being that there really is no competition (yet) in the WC area they'll do great though. The food is good and it's nice to see that everything is fresh, also I'm glad they provide options outside the norm as sides. My favorite is the apples as they're cut fresh and compliment a sandwhich or chicken meal quite well. I'm not a soda guy but it's cool to see the advanced Coca Cola mixing machine inside which seemed to be a hit to the Sam's Club group. I do like their iced tea and the lemonade is the exact recipe as Chick-Fil-A so no suprises there. And another update, finally: ok so we received a few food vouchers to give PDQ another try, sadly it too did not go so well, but again we got our food to go as we had a house full of kiddos for a play date.. order was wrong and everything just was just not fresh. Keep in mind I only live 5-8 minutes away. HOWEVER, I received two more gift cards that we were not expecting and well we are up here now, dining in this time, and it's the amazingness I've always remembered. I looooovvvveeee PDQ, even more since I gave up Chik Fil A. I've had salads, shakes, sandwiches, you name it and enjoyed them. I'm a fan of the Grilled Turkey Sandwich with a buttery bun, tender grilled turkey, lettuce and cranberry sauce. Their shakes are the best of any fast food place, hands down. Their seasonal ones can get pretty creative, like the Cap'n Crunch one I had once but I usually get the chocolate one. I usually just get a sandwich and shake but sometimes I get the apple slices with toffee dip that is to die for! The people working the drive thru are always really nice, sometimes I've had an order wrong but it's usually right. read more

I have heard about this place from some of my Tampa friends and was interested in checking it out. On our drive from dade city to Clearwater we had two hungry (cranky) toddlers (and grown ups). We pulled off an exit and I was excited to see this place. The menu was simple, which I always appreciate. They were super quick getting us our meals and I dug right in. The fries were perfect, the chicken was tender and the sauce was amazing. After scarfing our meals down we ordered milkshakes. The strawberry milkshake was probably one of the best I've ever had. I never ever post reviews for anything, but felt it necessary to do so today. I would love to give this PDQ a better rating because their food is actually good, but because my order gets messed up 8/10 times I go here, I simply can't. I just went through the drive through maybe 45 minutes ago and I was the only car there with only a handful of people dining in and they still got my order wrong. I'm not sure why this is a constant problem, but I will probably eat here a lot less because of it. Getting a tomato on your sandwich when you asked for no tomato is tolerable I guess, which just happened today, but when you get all the way home and realize they gave you slaw instead of apples and a small order of nuggets rather then the full tender meal you ordered, it gets rather frustrating. read more

I recommend it all. 5 stars because of the awesome employee meeting I overheard going on in the patio! I've worked in restaurants all my life and one thing I know is it starts with management. I couldn't even differ between who was a line cook or shift leader. Everyone was conversing and throwing out ideas and coming up with solutions collectively. That's a beautiful thing in a restaurant! This has become one of our new favorite fast food places in the area. They aren't kidding when they say they're Pretty Darn Quick, this is the fastest food ever! Very modern, clean building with friendly employees. They are trained to ask for your name so they can call you by name to get your order, which adds a nice personal touch. Customer service at this location is top-notch. They once forgot fries in our drive thru order so I went in and was given two free coupons for tenders. Another time there was a water main break in the parking lot blocking the drive thru so the passed out free coupons then, too. They even have fun events, like "Brown Shoe Day" or "Hat Day" where you get free tenders or milkshakes for participating. Make sure to "Like" them on facebook for access to these specials. In addition, they support local schools by having nights where they donate a portion of proceeds to specific schools in the community. Food is very good. I've gotten the chicken tenders, the grilled chicken sandwich, the crispy chicken sandwich, and two of the salads. Everything has been delicious. We most frequently get the grilled chicken sandwich. The salads are fairly large and filling. Their sauces for the tenders are also good, especially the creamy garlic. Their fries are also pretty tasty! The milkshakes are also really good. They have one flavor that is "seasonal" so it's different depending on the time of year, but it was recently mint Oreo and it was YUM. One of the things my son loves about this place is that they serve Cheerwine in the bottle, which is extremely hard to find, so that's an added bonus. He doesn't even actually care for chicken at all (won't eat Chik-fil-a) but will scarf down a couple of tenders for the trade-off of a Cheerwine. This place seems to be on par with Zaxby's more than I'd compare it to Chik-fil-a. I prefer this place over Zaxby's honestly. If you are hesitant, definitely give PDQ a try. read more

While their chicken strips and chicken sandwiches are pretty good, I think its their salads that are the real story. Definitely reminded me of a Crispers type salad, hearty and healthy... well, maybe not that healthy after I douse it with whatever dressing comes with it. But then again I don't always look to salads as a healthier option, but rather a healthier alternative to chicken strips and fries. The fries can be a bit soggy but I think like most places, it really depends on the timing of your visit. But really its all the more reason to stick with their salads. read more
