So I've been here three times and each time has not been memorable reason why I am doing a review now. The first time I went here it was allegedly for brunch when we got there the restaurant was empty. They asked if we had a reservation we did not. They told us they had a lot of reservations, even though the restaurant was almost empty. It was around 3 PM. they said give them a few minutes and then we were seated. we sat down and they showed us the menu which was a brunch menu and when the waiter came over, they told us they weren't having brunch now. Houston is the brunch capital. I feel like not serving brunch on a sunday afternoon is ridiculous. We left. I went back again on Wednesday night for oyster and happy hour night . The oysters were good. The restaurant was empty. The happy hour pricing was decent. The service was nonexistent and there was not even really anyone in the restaurant, which is crazy. Tonight I went back because they had R&B live music and it was steak night. My friend order the steak. It was not cooked to the temperature. A bunch of other crazy things happen and I ordered wings. Wings weren't good. I really hate to give restaurants bad reviews, but I definitely won't be going back here. I went to Peaches on a Thursday night for their steak night special that I saw advertised on Instagram. The meal was about $30, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. First, the seating arrangement was strange and uncomfortable. There was live music, which was actually the only enjoyable part of the night at first, but it ended up being so loud that we couldn't even hear each other talk at the table. The food itself was even worse. I ordered my steak medium, but it came out closer to well done and nearly half of it was fat. The steak was so tough that every time we tried to cut it, the table literally shook. We had to take turns holding the table steady so the other person could cut their food. Service was also questionable. Our waitress dropped our cutlery on the floor, picked it up, and still put it on our table. Yes, it was wrapped in plastic, but it had just been on the floor, which felt really off-putting. The wait time was extremely long. It took about an hour just to get drinks, and the food came roughly 15 minutes after that. When it arrived, it wasn't even hot. The mac and cheese and yams were okay, but the greens smelled burnt and had a strange taste. Overall, this felt like a waste of money. Visited Peachez yesterday and, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. First, having to pay $20 for " Valet" (self parking) at a restaurant in a plaza with other businesses was frustrating. Even so, we decided to give it a try because of all the "hype" on social media. We were seated right away, but that's where the positives ended. We ordered our appetizer and entrées together, then waited nearly an hour for our food with no appetizer in sight. Had our appetizer come out while we waited, the delay probably wouldn't have been as frustrating. Unfortunately, we sat with nothing, and after we finished our meal and ready for the check, we were finally told the appetizer had sold out. I also had to ask for hot sauce 3x, only to be told halfway through my meal that they were out of the bottle and given packets instead (which would have been perfectly fine from the start) but give me the packets from the beginning, not when I'm almost done with my food. Not to mention, while waiting for our food, we had to flag down our server just to order a drink. It wasn't just our table. Several other guests were also waiting a long time for their food. It appeared that there were only 1-2 cooks in the back. Smh The food itself was actually good, although some of the sides were room temperature. Please keep in mind that what drew us to this restaurant in the first place was an Instagram post of a happy hour they were offering with $1 oysters, $1 shots and other deals that they had posted an hour before on their page. Parking: We ubered in so did not have to deal with parking, but for those that are driving, they do offer valet. Not sure of the price. Service: This was their biggest downfall. The oysters were the star of the show in all of their cheesy, buttery goodness but they took about 2 hours to arrive to our table. On Instagram, people were asking what time they were offering the oysters in which the business replied and said all day, however about 30-45 minutes into our wait for them to be done, we were told that they weren't being sold until 7pm by another waitress(it was about 5pm and we had already been waiting almost an hour before being told that). They then said that we would be in the last of the next batch. My oysters came and my friend's still took another 20-30 minutes to come out after mine. We both found a few pearls in our oysters too which I didn't mind, actually thought it was cool, lol. Towards the end of the experience, a manager did come over to ask about how our experience was in which we shared with her our qualms with the wait and she offered us free shots which was the most hospitality we received while dining with them. The vibes were great and I love that there was live music on this specific night. If I did return it would solely be for a vibe. Outside of the brussel sprouts, which were great, the sides tasted processed and artificial, with a flavor that suggested they came from canned or boxed ingredients. The margarita towers are about half the size of what you'd traditionally expect when you order one so be advised of that if you choose to order. We ended up sending ours back because it had an overwhelming taste of margarita mix over the spirit. We paid $20 to park our own damn car in valet that was right in front of the front door. I was confused if this is a brunch with live jazz or a club. Scantily clad woman serving cheapened the experience. Is it a club that serves food or a restaurant that turns to a club? Servers congregating by the front door taken selfies did not read as classy. Our waitress was ok. Food did not come out together...huge red flag. Asked for suggestions, she was unable to give them. We ordered the steak and eggs and the chicken biscuit meal. Steak was unseasoned and only edible with the herb butter. Poor cut of meat for $42. The biscuits were probably the best thing and the water. The fact that we had to eat steak with plastic cutlery is freaking ratchet and water in plastic cups that we had to pour ourselves is ignorant ESPECIALLY since they force gratuity. Oh, and the brown paper napkins that look like they should be in the bathroom dispenser. We took the leftovers to give to a homeless dog we saw nearby, that's the only being that could appreciate it. 0/10. Worst dining experience I've ever had. Went for Thursday steak night and waited over an hour, only to be told they stopped making certain items for the night. Communication was terrible, the manager was "too busy" to address concerns, and the food we did get was overly salty. Parking was awful, the AC was dripping water on us while we ate, and bus boys were walking around flossing their teeth in the dining area. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I spent over $400 here and honestly left disappointed. The food is at best mediocre, and the management is even worse. If your order isn't prepared correctly, the expectation is that you'll just accept it, customer service clearly isn't a priority. Drinks taste watered down, steaks come out overcooked, and instead of making things right, they brush you off. For a place that promotes itself as upscale, the experience feels more like paying top dollar for below-average quality. Sadly, this is one of those spots that shows why it's hard to continue supporting certain businesses when they don't take pride in their product or their patrons. If you enjoy well-done steaks when you didn't order them, watered-down cocktails, and poor service, this might be your place. My husband and I went to Peachez for brunch with friends on a Sunday after church. SELF parking is $20. Make it make sense! Parking lot is super small. I was already annoyed right off the bat. We get inside... although a reservation is recommended we didn't have one and was able to be seated right away, so that was a plus. They were only serving their brunch and bites items on the menu. The food was pretty good. Oxtail and Mac Egg Roll was a 10/10. So delicious and flavorful. Non alcoholic beverages are $4 with a $2 refill (not listed on menu). INSANE!!! The service was good and our waitress was very attentive. The reason I'm rating 3 is because they DO NOT tell you that they add 20% gratuity to every ticket.
