Was in the area because we seen a concert last night and we were looking for a good breakfast place. Came across this place and man I'm so glad we decided to stop and get some food. Our waitress was great the hostess seated us right away! Both were very friendly! We sat down waitress greeted us with water and asked if we'd like coffee or juice. I'm kinda a coffee snob but I have to have coffee in the morning so I had to have a cup and I'm going to say it was pretty dang good cup of Joe! Hair in the food. Manager refused refund. (Eat there at your own risk) I would happily give up breakfast before going back to The Peachtree Cafe. My husband and I wanted a hassle-free breakfast, so instead of cooking we decided to pick up entrées from this neighborhood eatery. When we opened the food, he found a long hair was strewn prominently across his eggs. Annoyed, we called and spoke with the manager, Jamal, expecting him to apologize sincerely and take the dish off of our bill. Instead, he invited us to drive back so that he could replace the dish, but made it clear "I cannot give you the food for free." So my husband has now left to return the eggs - complete with the complimentary hair - so that he can return and enjoy his "no-hassle" breakfast. You should know that I told the manager that this was a poor and aggravating business practice (all but saying that it would lead to a poor online review) and he maintained his position, adding that he "may" grant us a "discount" on our next visit. I was once a regular here and really enjoyed their breakfast menu.I never had a complaint until the end of last year.I decided to try the lunch and it was terrible.The soup tasted like it spoiled it was bitter and sour and club sandwich tasted old and dry. I told the waitress the soup was awful and she said I don't like it either.I was not offered any thing else.had to wait forever for coffee refill.l paid for crappy service along side crappy food.Ever since I been going here when you pay the cashier would ask me,how is everything?Not this time I wonder why.I will never patronize this establishment again.zero stars . read more

Every 3-4 weeks or so, I am in the mood for Sunday breakfast. This is my go to spot. As usual, I get my 2 eggs with Canadian Bacon, with grits and pancakes. Top it off with a large OJ. The service is efficient and the food comes out fast. Foods taste fine, I mean you can't really mess up eggs over medium, right. I still remember when this location was a Denny's many years ago. Since then it has been so many crappy locations that after the first visit I never stopped back in. But now Peachtree is my go to place whenever I'm in town! The country potatoes are a must get! You can ask for them instead of hash browns and I don't think that charge extra. I love that they do daily special and my favorite one to get is the Venetian skillet. The prices are fantastic and I will go here any day over Big Apple that is always crowded and over priced for the area. read more

Great Food! Horrible customer service! So today 9/23/2018 I went into the restaurant around 6:35am I order their red velvet French toast. So as I sat down I realize that I might of order the wrong thing, so I got up and told the man who took my order could I get the red velvet stuffed French toast, he said okay no problem. Okay great I'm thinking, so I get my food and leave out, lucky I didn't drive off yet I check my food and realize it wasn't what I order, so I went in and told him that I order red velvet. He tells me that I wanted stuffed red velvet and that they don't make stuffed red velvet, now I'm confuse because I'm thinking well my boyfriend orders it all the time, he goes to say we just have regular red velvet, I'm like oh okay not thinking it was a difference I ask him nicely could I get that. So instead of providing great service he says to me " well what am I going to do with this" so now I'm getting annoyed, because I told him well you should've of corrected me when I got up the second time telling you what I wanted the red velvet stuffed French toast instead of saying okay no problem, but no you just gave me regular French toast. What made me upset is that the fact if you knew you didn't have the stuffed red velvet then that's when you should've said " sorry miss we don't have stuffed red velvet we only have regular red velvet French toast, would you still like that?" Then I would've been more then happy! But no I get told there's nothing you could do about it! That really piss me off and I would never spend my money here again! This is a wonderful place for breakfast. At least twice per month my family with frequent Peachtree after the 8:30 a.m. mass at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church. It is about one half mile from the church. They double the eggs from what the menu states, so be ready for large portions. The prices are typical for breakfast and well within reason. The service is outstanding. The staff knows and refers to us by name, and that really says a lot about how they operate... although it also says a lot about how often we attend :) read more

We came across Peachtree by mistake and what a great find! The exterior parking lot can use some TLC, but once you get inside you'll find a clean restaurant and friendly staff. We were a party of 7 and they quickly set-up our tables, our server was over to our table immediately. She took our beverage order and a few minutes later came back with hot coffee and the balance of the beverages, A+! Their menu has a lot of options, the food was great! And the price is right! I recently had lunch at Peachtree Cafe & Pancake House; very friendly place that can accommodate large groups (20+ in our case) or not so large groups. (Our waitress was terrific!) Good-sized menu and nice prices. I had lunch (grilled cheese sandwich and fries and an iced tea), and will definitely return. read more

I stopped by Peachtree Café since I was in the area for work and this café was one of the few highly rated places nearby. The décor is a bit outdated but that didn't take away from my experience here. The food was great and service was very quick. My friend and I were seated and done eating within 30-35 minutes which was great. As usual, I ordered the meatiest dish possible, the Country Skillet, which had bacon, ham, sausage, swiss, and cheddar cheese and my friend chose the healthier option which was the veggie omelette. No regrets on my end for ordering such a hearty dish! Their portions are very generous for their price (about $9 for my skillet) and you really can't beat that. I was only able to eat half of my skillet and took the other half home. The skillet was great with crispy hash browns and swiss and cheddar cheese slices (sorry no shredded cheese). The only thing I would improve upon would be the eggs. I ordered them scrambled and I prefer mine fluffier but when they were served on my skillet they were a bit runny and undercooked. Took a long drive to check out a car and after we left we needed to eat. Stopped by at Peachtree Cafe and I'm glad we did. The 2 adults had breakfast and 1 child had lunch. The waitress was excellent. I don't recall her name (maybe Tina but truly not sure) but she was perfect (I just looked at their facebook and she's the last one on the left). We needed some extra time to decide what to order. She gave us the perfect amount of time. We ordered and food came pretty fast. Food was fresh, hot and very tasty. Waitress refilled our drinks before the glass was empty which is a big plus for me. Great experience, perfect waitress, delicious food. If I'm ever around Matteson again, I would definitely visit Peachtree Cafe for breakfast food hands down. read more

Good day. I have had their eggs, bacon, and pancakes which are very good. But 12/5/15 a friend took me to breakfast at Peachtree. I ordered Oatmeal and a fruit bowl. The oatmeal tasted terrible & the pineapple in the fruit bowl wasn't fresh. The manager came nonchalantly to the table. I won't be returning. The waitress offered me another choice. But it never came. I even showed the manager my phone that logs my meals. Maybe I should have gotten my Oatmeal from McDonalds where I normally get it. Well after the bad experience at Peachtree I did go to McDonalds for the Oatmeal. I was glad McDonalds was very near. read more

My family and I visit this restaurant at least twice a month. We are fans of there entire breakfast menu. We love it mostly because of the affordability, you can get many selections for an unbelievable cost. Our family of 4 ususally eat for less than $25, and are all full until dinner time. The staff is excellent, from the hostess to each one of the waitresses/waitors. You can tell its a family owned place where everyone knows your name. The food is always top notch, quick and most of all consistent considering we come often. I only wish they were open all day. We love breakfast anytime of the day.. read more
