Elegant bar and restaurant. Very nice staff, decor but it's a bit pricey. The food and drinks were really good

This restaurant (and bar) is located the historic Davenport Hotel with over 100 years of history, and the Peacock Lounge is known for its stained glass ceiling. So it's worth a visit even if you eat elsewhere. We stayed at the hotel, so it was an easy choice for us to have a meal here, and it did not disappoint. It is a cocktail bar, so of course we started and ended with cocktails. The French Onion soup was good. Not the best I've ever had, but tasty. The Crab Louie was fresh and delicious. And the prime rib was nice and tender. It was a solid hotel meal in a pretty cool location.

My wife and I had a delicious dinner and cocktails here as we passed thru town. The Peacock Room is one of the dining options in the Historic Davenport Hotel downtown. We chose it because they had a comfortable table with a view of the TV over the bar which was showing an NFL game I wanted to watch. The room is beautiful with stained glass and other old hotel decor. Our server was great. The food and cocktails were top notch!

Ambiance: Drinks: Cougar Gold Dip: Some coworkers and I popped in while we were in town before heading to our dinner reservation. All you need to know is: 1. Yes, you should go there. 2. The drinks are delish. And pretty. 3. Get the Cougar Gold Dip. And ask for extra bread from the go. Order now. Thank me later. The bar was very crowded so i didn't get a fair feel for the vibe and aesthetic other than it feels rich and lush. Definitely with a visit.

The Peacock Room (it has a stuffed peacock over the bar and peacock wall paper) is off the lobby in the Historic Davenport Hotel. The spacious venue has lots of tables surrounded by comfy booths and comfy red leather arm chairs. Service is quick, friendly and helpful. They are known for their cocktails, and have 9 beers on tap and more by the bottle. The wine list is limited, but fairly comprehensive. A great place to meet friends for a snack or dinner and a drink.

Signature gin martini and Bing's old Fashioned.

Great service, later evening cocktails, and super convenient when staying in the hotel. It's a beautiful space and fun to visit.

Frank Sinatra on the speakers, classic decor, and a stained glass peacock ceiling, this lounge is unforgettable for the peacock wallpaper alone, not to mention the clawfoot chairs. Even better, their clam chowder and cocktails are great. Service was quick and friendly, making for a relaxing cocktail hour before dinner at the fabulous Palm Court Grill.

Came here two nights in a row and both nights were great. Although I will say we think we had a ghost experience on Friday night. Yup you read that right, ghost. We were here for a friends wedding and we had two tall tables next to each other. One of my friends cousin asked my wife to take a pic of their family. There had been some conversation that the groom was in room 1104 where Mr Davenport had died as my wife took the picture and then we decided to do a toast. As my wife grabbed her glass, her glass burst as thought it had been thrown at the wall. I mean it exploded. If that wasn't bad enough the next morning my friends cousin came running to us to show us the picture and the washed out area that was in the picture. Ohhhh. As for the Peacock as a lounge, the drinks were very good and reasonably priced. The service was awesome even with the broken glass. Our waitress was not accusatory with glass and also talked about the ghost stories she had heard. They quickly brought my wife another Old Fashion. The place is very nicely decorated and a great place to enjoy a drink with friends, family.... oh hell by yourself too :)

Very poor quality food skip it and go to churchills. Luke warm prime rib with no salt crust and like warm vegetables.

A fun spot with some stiff drinks. Nice for small groups but anything over eight can be tricky to fit in.

In classic speakeasy fashion, this dark "craft beverage" bar (not JUST whiskey bar...according to…read morethe tender on duty) is tucked neatly behind a bookshelf within a storefront that lacks outer signage. You could easily (and maybe have...) walk past it and not even know. I found my way in and was faced with a dark room and a wonderfully lit display of liquors. They infuse many of their own and offer flights of infused whiskeys. The drink menu has options that feature many different spirits. I chose a gin and citrus drink that was a wonderful blend of bitter and refreshing. I made myself sip it slowly, but it was tasty enough that I could have thrown it back. The bar tender was friendly and attentive, as well as knowledgeable. The room seemed to be recovering from the recent Hoopfest...there were coolers and some things in the back of the space. There were also a LOT of bottles on the counter behind the bar. I don't know if it is always like this, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely go back for the drink and to show it off to friends.

If you love craft cocktails, this place is for you. I got one of their drinks which was a tequila espresso martini. I haven't tried tequila in an espresso martinis before but loved it. Our server was quick and friendly! Had a great evening with some friends.

We went to Agave tonight for dinner and drinks before a show, and honestly, this place has a lot of…read morepotential. The atmosphere was really enjoyable -- the space has a great vibe, the drinks were well made, and overall it feels like somewhere that could become a favorite spot downtown. The food was decent as well, though not especially memorable. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the positives. From the moment we walked in, we felt more like an inconvenience than welcomed guests. The host greeted us while remaining seated at the bar and simply told us to "sit anywhere," which immediately set an odd tone. When I asked for paper menus, I was told they only use QR codes. Normally that wouldn't be a huge issue, but the menu was around 15 pages long with tiny font, making it frustrating to navigate on a phone. Once our food arrived, we essentially never saw our server again. No check-ins, no refill offers, no asking if we wanted another round of drinks -- nothing. Meanwhile, staff members were gathered at the bar loudly talking among themselves and openly complaining about being there, which was uncomfortable to listen to as customers trying to enjoy a night out. Eventually, we had to walk up to the front bar ourselves just to pay our bill. That was the most disappointing part because the restaurant truly has the foundation to be excellent. The ambiance and drinks are already there, but hospitality matters just as much as the food. A little attentiveness and genuine customer service would have completely changed the experience. We absolutely would have ordered more drinks and likely stayed longer if anyone had checked on us. Hopefully management takes service more seriously, because this place could be great with the right staff culture and attention to guests.
