Elegant bar and restaurant. Very nice staff, decor but it's a bit pricey. The food and drinks were really good

This restaurant (and bar) is located the historic Davenport Hotel with over 100 years of history, and the Peacock Lounge is known for its stained glass ceiling. So it's worth a visit even if you eat elsewhere. We stayed at the hotel, so it was an easy choice for us to have a meal here, and it did not disappoint. It is a cocktail bar, so of course we started and ended with cocktails. The French Onion soup was good. Not the best I've ever had, but tasty. The Crab Louie was fresh and delicious. And the prime rib was nice and tender. It was a solid hotel meal in a pretty cool location.

Ambiance: Drinks: Cougar Gold Dip: Some coworkers and I popped in while we were in town before heading to our dinner reservation. All you need to know is: 1. Yes, you should go there. 2. The drinks are delish. And pretty. 3. Get the Cougar Gold Dip. And ask for extra bread from the go. Order now. Thank me later. The bar was very crowded so i didn't get a fair feel for the vibe and aesthetic other than it feels rich and lush. Definitely with a visit.

My wife and I had a delicious dinner and cocktails here as we passed thru town. The Peacock Room is one of the dining options in the Historic Davenport Hotel downtown. We chose it because they had a comfortable table with a view of the TV over the bar which was showing an NFL game I wanted to watch. The room is beautiful with stained glass and other old hotel decor. Our server was great. The food and cocktails were top notch!

The Peacock Room (it has a stuffed peacock over the bar and peacock wall paper) is off the lobby in the Historic Davenport Hotel. The spacious venue has lots of tables surrounded by comfy booths and comfy red leather arm chairs. Service is quick, friendly and helpful. They are known for their cocktails, and have 9 beers on tap and more by the bottle. The wine list is limited, but fairly comprehensive. A great place to meet friends for a snack or dinner and a drink.

Great service, later evening cocktails, and super convenient when staying in the hotel. It's a beautiful space and fun to visit.

Came here two nights in a row and both nights were great. Although I will say we think we had a ghost experience on Friday night. Yup you read that right, ghost. We were here for a friends wedding and we had two tall tables next to each other. One of my friends cousin asked my wife to take a pic of their family. There had been some conversation that the groom was in room 1104 where Mr Davenport had died as my wife took the picture and then we decided to do a toast. As my wife grabbed her glass, her glass burst as thought it had been thrown at the wall. I mean it exploded. If that wasn't bad enough the next morning my friends cousin came running to us to show us the picture and the washed out area that was in the picture. Ohhhh. As for the Peacock as a lounge, the drinks were very good and reasonably priced. The service was awesome even with the broken glass. Our waitress was not accusatory with glass and also talked about the ghost stories she had heard. They quickly brought my wife another Old Fashion. The place is very nicely decorated and a great place to enjoy a drink with friends, family.... oh hell by yourself too :)

Frank Sinatra on the speakers, classic decor, and a stained glass peacock ceiling, this lounge is unforgettable for the peacock wallpaper alone, not to mention the clawfoot chairs. Even better, their clam chowder and cocktails are great. Service was quick and friendly, making for a relaxing cocktail hour before dinner at the fabulous Palm Court Grill.

A deeper dive showed a good possibility of gluten free options, so I made the reservation. I was in town on a Monday, just after Hoopfest, but they were the kind of busy where a reservation should always be made I think. My table was ready and I sat in the bar at a high top table. I think I would choose "in the dining room" next time. My server was friendly and quick, as well as knowledgeable about gluten free options. There is even a separate menu that lays out the dishes that are already gf or could be made to be. Love this, always. I ordered the summer salad to start. It was amazing. Flavorful. Fresh. The mint wasn't overpowering, the watermelon was the perfect ripeness. It was so good. I would try to recreate it but it was done so well, and I know I couldn't hit that dressing in the same way. Get it while you can. For my main, I had ordered the scallops in my brain before I even arrived. The risotto was a little soupy, but the flavor was SO good. The corn came through and it went so well with the scallops. The tomatoes were quite over salted, but as long as I didn't eat them alone, it was alright. The scallops were perfectly cooked and I felt like the portion was appropriately sized for the dish, even though there were only 4. My server really made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was busy but the booths looked like they could be cozy. The prices were on the higher end. But for a special occasion, it was worth it. I really wished I'd had room for dessert. I will surely go back the next time I am in town.

Exposed brick walls, bronzish art pieces, warm lighting--it feels stylish without trying too hard ( did not know restaurant is 30 years old) I was joining after a run, so I was probably a little underdressed . The general vibe is chic-casual, but I still felt completely comfortable and welcomed. My host was incredibly kind and accommodating throughout the meal. I ordered the hanging tenderloin medium rare based on her recommendation, and she was also more than happy to add some greens on the side when I asked. I really appreciate that Mizuna makes a point of using vegetables from local farms. The dish almost reminded me of something you might get at a traditional Lyonnaise restaurant, but with a more modern and refined touch. The beet salad, though, was a piece of art. I would honestly come back just for this dish. The beets had an almost candied quality without being overly sweet, and they worked beautifully with the freshness of the mint and the creamy chèvre mousse. Fantastic balance of flavors and textures. Great atmosphere, genuinely warm hospitality, and food that feels thoughtful without being overly complicated. Mizuna was a really enjoyable surprise.

We told the server it tasted burnt & old so she offered to make a fresh pot. It was just as bad, when she asked we said it was still really yucky and she said that a lot of people don't care for it. I ordered the tamale waffle. The beef was great, eggs were a bit overcooked but no biggie, the waffle was really hard and dry. It needs some sort of crema sauce or something. It wasn't horrible by any stretch but it wasn't great either. My mom got the veggie breakfast burrito and she liked the veggies though it was bland, felt like it could have had more sour cream & cheese. It was massive and came with a side. The added 16% service fee is some real BS. It says on the receipt that it's split between the server & the kitchen staff. Call me old fashioned but I thought it was on the restaurant to pay their staff a living wage. At $18 a breakfast plate & $4 for drip coffee you should be able to pay your staff. And then we're supposed to tip on top of that? Nope.
