We had sewage coming up in the upstairs shower and water leaking through my downstairs lighting fixtures. The patient and responsive staff answering the phone (late in the evening, mind you) had Jamal come out, and he fairly immediately identified the problem. It was not insignificant. Let's just say that no wipe is flushable. We just had to convince our 2 year old granddaughter of that! Jamal had to do quite a bit of work to fix a broken pipe (sawing through my first floor ceiling to get there). But he nailed it---And I think they charged a fair price for the repair! After a few months, my tub was slow to drain. We called Jamal out again, fearing that we didn't get all the wipes out of the pipes. No, it's just the fancy tub stopper that has been become defective. The last plumber and another plumber stated that I would have to remove the tile to replace the valve. I waited a while before writing this review because I wanted to see if the shower valve was fixed, and it has not leaked and I am impressed with his knowledge and expertise as a plumber. Victor provided detailed and thorough information, and showed me all the areas that were broken/corroded and were contributing to the overall dysfunctions. We had had our dryer repaired a few weeks ago by different vendor, and Victor's assessment aligned with that vendor's assessment -- that we were possibly dealing with a full HVAC issue. Victor was able to apply a bandaid fix to hold us over in the heat and scheduled an appointment with Mark, who came to our home later that evening to do a further assessment and to provide us replacement and financing options. We were able to secure an installation appt of the new HVAC system two days later, in which, Bobby and his team came in and took care of. The installation took just under six hours and from what I could tell, went smoothly, though I did feel bad that they were installing the system on a very hot day. But they didn't complain and remained professional and courteous. Overall, we felt well-informed and well taken care of by this company! All the employees we interacted with were professional, personable, laid back, and provided us great, fast, and generous service and care. We ran into some hiccups with financing but Mark helped us iron that out quickly and smoothly. The investment of the new HVAC system was resonable and fit our home goals. It was a simple fix as they were able to quickly reignite the pilot light and the serviceman explained and showed me how to reignite it myself should this happen again. Literally, after the service man left, an hour later, the pilot light went out again. I called McKee plumbing back and asked if the service man could return. I decided to go ahead and replace the water heater and the serviceman was kind enough to apply my initial service call fee towards the cost of the replacement which they didn't have to do. My problem came a few days later when we realized that the water came out molten lava hot and we had to turn it all the way to the 'H' before it became cool enough to use as bath water. We called them back and they again sent Jimmy. He said that the cartridge was just installed in reverse and that we just need to turn it. Um, what? How does that make sense? The cartridge should just be switched around in the wall. I don't get it. -2 stars because he was very kind and didn't charge us for part, but I'm annoyed that he was satisfied with an incomplete job.
