I stopped in between in person meetings while looking for a spot to jump on a video call and do some work on my computer. I'm not big on chains, but I know how much people love Peet's and it was a super convenient location that I knew would have wifi and tables. I got lucky and it wasn't too busy when I stopped in. The staff was friendly and I ordered a medium flat white ($6.72) to sip on while working. The pricing is really reasonable and the coffee was just what I needed to get through the rest of the day. I grabbed a table near a corner of the business and worked on my computer until it was time for my meeting. I thought it was really cute that there was a pride sticker on my cup with the order label, such a nice touch! This location can get really busy on the weekends (the Saturday Farmers Market is right in front of it) and I'm glad I stopped in on a Monday afternoon when it was a lot quieter. read more

I haven't been in this Peet's coffee in a long time since i use to work near j street downtown. Service is top tier, I was immediately greeted with a smile from the coffee barista! They welcome you in as you walk in the door, very rare from other chains. The matcha frap with chorizo wrap is a must in this hot weather! A+ for service and great food! Not too sure if it's a new barista or maybe too busy. I DoorDash my order from here everyday under Alexis L. An iced espresso with condensed milk , coconut syrup, light splash of half&half, whipped cream, and cinnamon powder. I used to be a prior peets barista myself and am a little disappointed on the quality of the drink here; one just because it could've fit in a medium cup since it needed extra ice , light splash cream, plus whipped cream. Yes time management is important but so is accuracy. I got to speak to someone on the phone about the drink 1) there was an apology 2) I was hoping to get it remade but the response was "I'll make note of it." Customer service used to be big here, I don't know what's happened , to keep sales and a loyal customer, we need to value customers. The temperature is perfect, hot but immediately sipppable. I can taste the espresso and it goes well with smooth steamed milk. This location has a few indoor seating and more outdoor seatings. It's a great place to grab a coffee before heading to the Saturday Midtown Farmers Market. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Baristas are good at their coffee crafts. The vibes are cozy. Great location to chill outside and enjoy the farmers market right in front on a Sat morning, They have both seating inside and in the front patio. Although It was quite busy when I went given the farmer market, but they were pretty fast in making my drink (came out a few min earlier than the estimated time on the app). Staff was friendly and had a smiles on their faces. What I liked was even though mine was a mobile order they still called my name out. What I had here: Pumplin latte -Didn't expect it to be like Starbucks in any way, but the flavor of this is much different. Less spice like a Pumpkin spiced latte (PSL) and more of an actual pumpkin taste, BUT is was more faint and not too powerful. Like most Peets drinks, the espresso was strong so it didn't have a sweetness like Starbucks PSL. It wasn't the best pumpkin latte I've had, but again it's NOT a PSL which most other places make. Out of all the Peet's Coffees in Sacramento, this one has to be my favorite! The location in Midtown is prime , the store is spacious with plenty of seating options, drinks are consistently well-made, and most importantly the baristas are cheerful and friendly. I love their large spacious front patio where there is plenty of good seating...a perfect spot to meet with friends, read by yourself, or people watch. Saturday mornings during the Midtown Farmer's Market is one of the best times to come because you can grab a delicious cup of coffee and shop at the same time or hang out on the patio. This location of Peet's Coffee often has Major Dickason's Blend (one of my favorite roasts) on tap for their regular dark roast as well as their decaf. In addition, they usually have a great tasting blend on tap, sometimes featuring a more expensive dark roast. Their espresso drinks are also great tasting and customizable. I love their vanilla latte (less sweet), macchiato, and more recently, their new golden latte, made with turmeric and ginger. This Peet's always has a good selection of baked goods, including chocolate croissants, scones, and a very delicious chocolate chip cookie. Peet's Coffee in Midtown is one of the best spots to grab a delicious cup of coffee or hang out and read. Because of it's location, street parking can be hard depending on when you come. TL;DR- I'm not entirely convinced they have ice. A Saturday morning farmers market with a nice coffee from Peet's is a recipe for a beautiful morning. This past Saturday, I needed that. (I had gone to a hair appointment earlier only to find out my stylist was on maternity leave, but no one had contacted me to reschedule. I get it- life happens, but I'm not going to lie- it put a damper on my morning.) I went into Peet's and ordered a "large dirty chai." Then I followed that with "iced! I'm sorry, a large iced dirty chai." I said iced twice. The friendly human taking my order nodded, which I assumed meant he got it down that I wanted and iced dirty chai. So I paid, tipped, and moved to the left to patiently wait for my tasty beverage that was sure to turn around my morning mess. They call my name and pass me my drink. It's hot. Now I'm not one to complain, I'm not, but I did order an iced drink. So I calmly said, "Oh, I'm sorry- I ordered this iced." I get it. Sometimes you're in the groove; you do your thing, mistakes happen, whatever. The nice human who made my drink looks at the screen and tells me, "This says hot." You can imagine my confusion. I did say iced twice and received an understanding nod of acknowledgment of my iced drink order. My expectation may have been tainted by my previous customer service work experience- where if something like this had happened to an order I delivered, I would always apologize and fix the order. I know things are changing, and I am here for keeping customers accountable for what they ordered, but I did not order a hot drink. She started to reach for the drink back begrudgingly, but I could tell she was not thrilled about this, and me being who I am and not wanting to cause drama for someone else, I said, "don't worry, I'll take this one." That is on me, and I accept that--no cause for any real doubt about the ice situation. BUT HERE'S WHERE IT GETS SUS. My friend meets me and the lovely Peet's establishment and orders a medium black coffee (He's a simple guy). Knowing that Peet's coffee is BLAZING HOT, he asked for an ice cube in the coffee to help cool it down. Sure. That's a slightly off request, but it seems easy enough to appease. HE WAS CHARGED $.46 FOR A CUBE OF ICE. The shock really took him because he paid and did not question, and he was just left in confusion. Whatever--weird day. We move on. But when he got his coffee- THERE WAS NO ICE CUBE. After reflecting on our odd order experience with our lack of ice, I realized that a couple of weeks ago, when we were having a Saturday morning at the farmers market, I ordered an iced dirty chai- and also got that one hot! With this knowledge, I have no choice but to believe they do not have ice. Other than that- it's a great location! I'll probably return the next time we have a farmers market day with my friends on Saturday morning. read more

Oh yes, love me some Peet's. This location is close for all my weekly and weekendy needs, and I appreciate that it's managed to stay open even with all the coffee shop closures on the grid lately. I can rely on friendly, snappy service when I come, and parking in the area is reasonable for midtown. (Usually I'm on foot when I come but every now and then I'll be grabbing a cup before rolling out, Autobots.) This is a coffee locale to avoid if you do not wish to interact with, talk to, or lay eyes upon the midtown homeless population, especially during the afternoons. So what to order when at a Peet's? Luckily for you, dear reader (I mean does anyone read these? I pretend yelp is my diary. Don't tell anyone.), Peet's tends to be reliable across the board. One of my long time favorites is the black & white cold brew. Their seasonal lattes and mochas are fun and tasty. Havana Cappuccino is also worth a try. I've never had a coffee like it anywhere else. If you're a fan of the taste of regular non foofoolala black coffee, try their java blue dark roast. Mmmm buddy. That about does it for the recs, so I'll sign out for now. Oh yeah, a note about dough. Prices are comparable to other chain coffee joints but the latte art is just as good as any craft coffee in Sacramento. Siriusly good stuff. read more

Never been here before and I'll never return. I literally ate two rubber breakfast sandwiches and a hard brownie that crumbled into a million pieces. The sandwiches seemed like they came out of a microwave, but were over cooked. Both had absolutely no flavor. Stopped by here because I heard there was a plant based bagel sandwich and I wanted to try it out with my partner. It was good, but she thought it should have less cheese and I thought the patty could've been bigger.After that I saw and ordered a vegan brownie and a vegan muffin which were both good, regular coffees there are good too and the place was pretty cool and had a chill vibe. I always stick to my iced cold brew at all of their locations. The staff are very friendly here and your drink orders out quickly. I always enjoy my visits to this Peets location. Their wifi was spotty in the past, but it looks as if they've worked out all the kinks and it works fine now. If you're looking for a nice, relaxing place to do some reading or work....this is where you should be. If you're easily distracted and really need to focus, the patio area may not be for you. This is my favorite coffee place, ever! I usually visit the ones in Midtown Sac, Folsom & almost all locations in Roseville. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars, is because the in-supermarket location in Belair in Yuba City has NEVER made a drink for me that lives up to the other locations and I'm not sure why! They don't even accept Pete's Cards. It's so strange, but every other location I have ever visited has made perfect, consistent drinks - hot or cold! And the online customer service is great as well.
