Not sure why reviews are so high on this place. Ordered door dash this morning and was not impressed at all. Biscuits and gravy was horrible. Not sure how you even sell this? Says it's sausage gravy but where's the sausage. Biscuits were old not fresh at all. If Pegahs is making biscuits they should consider not. Sausage links were pretty good standard sausage links. Kids did not not care for French toast. I hate to give bad review on restaurants during this time but even if we semi enjoyed the food I'd be giving 3-4 stars. Wow, what a great find my sister made! Nice little diner breakfast type spot, friendly staff, and comfy booth seating. They have some great breakfast options, simple but hearty. Eggs. Lots of ways. Skillets, hashes, hashbrowns, gravy, pancakes, waffles, all the things. So plenty to choose from. They do offer some gluten-free options for almost all of their bread items, pancakes, waffles, toast, and you can sub egg whites for all of their egg dishes. The GF cinnamon raisin toast was so good we questioned if it was gluten-free! In the best way. The prices were good and the food was filling. I would have driven by this place if not for Yelp so it's a great find and one I'd be happy to return to. read more

My husband and I were going up to pumpkin patch and found this gem by accident. Cozy and clean inside and staffs are very welcoming the guests. We ordered a waffle combo and a country fried chicken&eggs plus two coffees. My husband and I like American old fashioned thin waffle so we ordered that and it was GREAT!! The bacon, eggs were very nice as well. The country fried chicken came out with lots of gravy on top and the eggs were cooked perfectly over-easy!! I have a favorite spot in San Marcos but thought we would try this out based on the Yelp reviews. The reviews are spot-on! My husband heard pumpkin pecan waffle combo and he ate every bite. Had breakfast there yesterday with a friend and love the food so much. I went back today with my kid! Today, got the Greek omelette with egg whites and I substituted onions for black olives which they said was no problem to do. Our server was Francine and she was super friendly, helpful, quick and just made our experience all around Amazing!! The kid got an ABC burger with fries. Said it was perfection and wondered why this wasn't a rich people restaurant. We look forward to making this a regular spot to eat! read more

AMAZING IN EVERY WAY!!! Food was to die for!!! I havn't eaten food so good in YEARS. My lady needs gluten free and was very satisfied with her waffle. I always customize my dishes to be what I want and not only was it done PERFECT! but it was the best taste too! Try a customized breakfast crossant with sausage patties, avacado, eggs, and cheddar. It's a very unassuming establishment which does have great lighting(which I think is missing from a lot of establishments) but it could use some interior decorating/upgrading. That's the only reason it's missing a star. But the food is delicious and the quantity is definitely worth the value! On top of that, our server was excellent and checked in on us often enough for me to appreciate it. We were seated promptly, given the appropriate amount of time to view the menu and received our food in a timely manner. I would definitely eat here again. read more

Great place, large portions. The only reason for 3 stars is the greeting. I've noticed twice now that we don't even get a "hello" when going inside to get a table. Maybe I'm over reacting, but twice? My husband searched Yelp (a fav resource) for a breakfast spot. How lucky are we, he found a great place. The building is unassuming, but enter and a great surprise! It's clean, spacious and welcoming. We were seated, and almost immediately, a server approached and took our drink orders, it gave us time to peruse the menu. My choice was simple, Eggs (over easy, cooked perfectly) hash browns, nice crunch outside and yummy inside) sausage and sourdough toast. I love those jam packets on the table. Yummy! Hubby had eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, sourdough toast. He was happy and satisfied with the taste and portion. I wish we had taken pics but we were too hungry. Coffee was hot and tasty. Our server was very attentive, but not intrusive, very personable and pleasant. I'm sure the staff is as polite as she was, because the atmosphere was very nice. We found a parking spot easily. English Muffin was perfect, Tomato, Bacon, perfect medium Poached Eggs, a good portion of fresh Avocado, and decent Hollandaise. Nice Home-Style Potatoes too. My friend ordered the Border Omelette with crispy Hash Browns, and Sourdough Toast. She said it was excellent!!! The Salsa is really good and I'll get some next time. Hubs and I ordered a delivery order through Grubhub for dinner tonight. I got the chicken fried steak plate and he got pancakes with all the fixings. Our food arrived super hot. Everything we needed for our meal was provided, ketchup, salsa (I asked for this to be added and they very much provided), butter, syrup, jelly & jam, napkins, utensils. We were SO impressed. The owner even wrote us a handwritten thank you note for helping to support them during this time. Food was delicious, fluffy pancakes, crispy hash browns, my over easy eggs were cooked perfectly even after being transported, VERY VERY HAPPY. Will definitely be going back.
