Breakfast Burrito with sausage, egg, and cheese.

Great food, great service, reasonably priced and a clean restaurant overall. Our server was very attentive and genuine. We enjoyed the flavors of every dish particularly the country potatoes that had a hint of "pancit" (Filipino noodles) at the end. This place is highly recommended!

Went on a Sunday at noon expecting it to be busy and it definitely was. Almost all the tables were full so we were ready to wait at least 45 minutes. But we didn't have to. Walking in, we were greeted and seated right away. Francine was our server and she was so friendly and efficient. We ordered the Cinnamon roll combo special and the Pegahs scramble. While we waited (which wasn't very long), the man who greeted us and sat us at our table came and poured our coffees. We noticed that this cute diner managed to maintain a warm, relaxed vibe all while working as a well-oiled machine. Super efficient all around. As busy as it was, the employees didn't miss a beat and didn't look or act hurried or stressed. Customer service was on point. The turnaround was fast. Food came out quick and we thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered. Definitely a good value. So glad we tried this place, we'll be back!

We always get coupons for this restaurant in the Clipper Magazine & we decided to give it a try. They have 3 locations in North County. We dined for brunch on NYE & it was busy! Cute diner & retro feel. Dishes came out quick & service was friendly. California Benedict: Amazing! Crispy bacon, crispy side of hash browns, loved it. Hearty portion. This location is in a neighborhood with a few parking spots & street parking. Senior menu available.

Two eggs over easy, with ham and chrispy hash browns...met expectations !!!

Great breakfast at a reasonable price, comfortable booths and great friendly service provided by the lovely Francine. We ordered the veggie omelette with wheat toast dry, two eggs over easy with ham, the fruit bowl and both came with hash browns (done extra chrispy - per our request-the chief nailed it !!!) Can't wait to try some of their other item.

Came to Pegah's Kitchen with my in laws while it was raining. It is a cute little diner and it feels nostalgic the moment you walk in. The food was good and filling, nothing too special. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs and the steak was a little dry and my sunny side eggs were a bit under. We also got the sausage gravy and biscuits and I should have gone with a half order because it was a lot of food. I also wish they had a bit of butter or something for more flavor. One thing I really liked was the apple jelly for the toast. We only waited about ten minutes to be seated even though it was busy. It was a nice and simple spot for a rainy day.

We have gone there for many years and just seeing how over priced their food is now is unbelievable. We won't be going there ever again. It's like everything has gone up at least 5.00 more per dish. 20.00 for a club sandwich is crazy. Sorry to see that it's heading towards losing loyal customers. Below is a picture of where I got the prices. On your yelp site. I wasn't making it up I wouldn't do that. I like your food very much . And I do understand the reason for increases. Just shocked when I saw the advertised picture.

Club sandwich on wheat, no mayo and side of fresh fruit

Loved the service and the food. They had a large selection of both breakfast and lunch items. We had the club sandwich on wheat with no mayo with a side of fruit, and the ABC burger (add bleu cheese) with French fries and both were great. The service was friendly and quick. The prices reasonable too. We went on a Saturday and luckily they were able to seat us right away. The food came out quickly and they refilled our hot tea and iced tea. This will be our new breakfast/lunch place before heading to the Safari Park!

Front entrance and parking is pretty much on the building. To the left of the entrance is the outside seating. Sorry the only pic I took.
    K C.

This was a cute little mom and pop spot. In a neighborhood very limited parking but there is some street parking. Outside seating available. Service was great from the time I walked in to the time I left. If you love eggs, this place has a lot of them. I chose the French Toast and added fresh strawberries and whip cream and made it a meal minus the eggs and substituted with hash browns and got 2 sausage patties. All really good. The orange juice wasn't freshly squeezed, it came out of the machine we sat next to. The tables were a little small and not a lot of room at the tables. If you need a lot of room outside is perfect for you. Not a bad place to stop for a bite to eat on your way up or down the 15 or 78 freeways.

Pegah's is our go-to diner in the area. Service is always fast and friendly. Sierra in particular has been our fav server for going on 3 years now! I typically get their steak and eggs and my husband loves their veggie omelette. Our only request is that they invest in better quality coffee

I was pleasantly surprised with Pegah's Kitchen! Friendly staff, good prices, great portions, and the wait time was super short! I made a reservation to sit outside in their dog friendly outdoor patio seating. We got our order taken quickly and the food came out fast, nice and hot. The corned beef hash was good. Nice crispy hash browns. Monte Cristo was good too. The biscuit was so dry. Do not get it unless with gravy.

    Ambiance.

The good: Great service from our server, lovely atmosphere, seated quickly on even on Mothers day. Salad and basil dressing were great. The crab cake was good. The unacceptable: The most important part of eggs benedict is the poached eggs, that means cooked whites, runny yolk. 2 of us ordered the dish, and of the 4 poached eggs, three were so overcooked, the yolks were hard boiled, crumbly and dry. I let the server know and asked that they just bring out new eggs, no need to remake the plate. over 15 minutes later, (so ow we had cold crab cakes) they dropped off a small plate with 4 genuinely undercooked poached eggs, they looked like soup. they were a literal puddle. The manager came by to ask if we had out eggs yet a couple moments before they were dropped off, we said no and he and said I'll take care of one of these for you. I don't expect free meals, and I rarely send food back, but this seemed pretty petty. Soupy eggs that took an extraordinarily long time (the restaurant was not at capacity at all). When I received the bill, there was a 15% discount on the eggs benedict. I get tight margins, but at least make the dish correctly please. The hollandaise sauce was good, the server very sweet and friendly (and of course we tipped him 20%, food is not his fault) but I doubt I would try this place again if that is how the rectify substandard meals. They did give me a lovely flower!

Second off, are they even a brewery? I see cans and taps of their own beer, but looking into the business, I dont think they own a brewery at all. This is more along the lines of a taphouse/pub. THAT BEING SAID, the food is quite nice. I think the pizza is great and it feels like they make and roll their own dough which is respectable and ambitious for a random little spot like this. Because Draft Republic is a rough place to quantify. The food is pretty good; if going off that alone, this place would easily be four stars in my eyes. But, it's not ... Draft Republic is trying to be a bit closer to like a mini Dave & Buster's (a place I have come pretty close to loathing). With an arcade, a bowling alley, a golfing simulator, a full bar, pretty extensive menu, good music, and a fantastic staff, they really have a lot going for them with a little something to make anyone happy. My own issue deals solely with the cost. Came here with my son, all we did was eat two entrees and an appetizer between us, and did nothing else. With drink and after tax and tip, the cost was well over $90. No games, no play, just burgers (plus fries and poke tacos) for two, costs as much as many Californian's net after a full day of work. When you're used to feeding the whole family for about half as much when going out (or a little more when eating sushi), that price was a bit rough. Still, the food is very good. My son and I each ate The Draft Republic Burger. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, very flavorful, and the toppings were high quality. The fries were crisp and salted well. And the side salad wasn't too bad. Both of us ate our entrees and gave it high marks. We had started with the Tres Poke Tacos, where the Tuna was very tasty, steeped in a flavorful marinade, and felt nice and fresh. Definitely a good starter. And the restaurant itself is gorgeous. A lot of space, beautifully furnished, kind of industrial meets art deco with some new age greenery architecture thrown in. I like it a lot. But, as an aging Gen-X'er, who used to go to arcades back in the day, and hates what new arcades have become, the amenities are under appreciated by me. All of that pads the price tag a bit out of what I am willing to pay just for dinner. Which may not be fair to Draft Republic, but that's where it left me.

The location has a pretty extensive menu written in chalk on the walk, and it's easy to read. There are choices of sandwiches, salads and a lot of great food in-between. After taking a minute to decide we went with the Southwest Chicken Salad ($16.99) as well as the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich ($15.99) with a side of hushpuppies. The sauce on the salad was flavorful with just a bit of zest, and they gave us extra so that was really cool. It's a really comfy place to eat with a little bit of a Louisiana feel to it. For good food served by good people, this is the place!

On a Wednesday, we stopped by H Brothers for lunch. Located in downtown Escondido, this bar and…read morerestaurant was recommended to me by one of my Yelp friends. We found free parking on the street a block or two down from the restaurant. Service (4/5): You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. A couple of things stand out to me about their service. I was looking at the menu and was about to order. Someone behind me cut in line without asking if I was ready to order. The lady working noticed this and asked me to order first. Humanity still exists! They also check on your periodically even though this isn't true table service which is a nice touch. On the flip side, they did try and upsell me to add bacon bits to my dish which I was all for until I saw it was a $3.50 upcharge. I asked them to remove it. A little too steep. Ambiance (4/5): My type of restaurant. Casual with some charm. We sat at a table across from the bar. They have some cool decor, too. No complaints. Drinks (4/5): I had a beer flight because I often can't say no to a flight. I love the variety and being able to try new beers, especially when I'm traveling. While they don't have a huge selection, they had just enough beers that were interesting for me to take the plunge. Food (4/5): I did the country poutine which comes with fries, gravy, fried chicken bites, and green onions. I'm a sucker for loaded fries so I couldn't say no. Especially for this twist on a classic poutine. Generous portion size as I had hoped. A little more chicken would have been nice, but outside of that, very solid.

There are games for the kids to play outside while waiting and seating for adults to watch the kids. This place has amazing customer service. The host was friendly and kept us updated with the table status, and the servers came around frequently to check on us after we were seated. The food came out quickly and tasted so good! I also got The Hobbes without maple to drink, and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place and would go back!

The Great: yummy food The Good: menu selection The Bad: the service The Ugly: still the service I've enjoyed the food at mama kat's, but gosh. the few times I've come I've gotten slow service, indifferent service and forgotten about. My last visit we almost walked out after being seated then ignored for over ten minutes. After ordering and getting our drinks, I asked for creamer. The server kept walking by and then acknowledge he forgot.. then he apparently forgot again, but eventually i got the creamer. When we initially got there and got seated, the young man that walked us to our table, walked away when pointing us to our table, I thanked him, but he seemed pretty unhappy. I had to flag him down to ask for more coffee later, which happened very slowly too. I wonder/hope when they move, they gain a new pride of their brand, improving the experience for the customer.

The staff was very warm and welcoming, though throughout the evening it definitely felt like they may have been short staffed and stretched a bit thin. Since we were headed to a movie after dinner, we decided to keep things light and share appetizers plus dessert. We tried the Fried Shishito Peppers, Veggie Potstickers, Grilled Broccolini, Rosemary Garlic Fries, Whipped Burrata, Garlic Noodles, Salmon Poke Tacos, and Lamb Chops. Overall, the food was decent but nothing especially memorable. The lamb chops were cooked nicely but could have used more seasoning, and the poke tacos were tasty but tiny -- literally about the size of my pinky for each taco. We were disappointed they had sold out of both the Crème Brûlée Bread Pudding and the Budino, which were the desserts we originally wanted to try. Thankfully, the Butter Toffee Cake completely saved dessert for us -- absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of the meal. Overall, a cute spot with good vibes for a girls night, but the food itself didn't quite live up to the hype for us.
