This restaurant is a sleeper in the Lucky's shopping mall. The take-out Chinese restaurant it replaced was terrible, but the food and service here are excellent (and this coming from a San Francisco-born and raised Chinese American). There's a special 3 for $23 dinner menu that also comes with soup. I've had the salt and pepper chicken wings, the salted fish tofu chicken clay pot (not on the menu), the dry-fried string beans with minced pork and a fish fillet dish (both on the special menu), and everything was well-prepared and very tasty, in the traditional Cantonese style. I've also had several lunches here, and the chow mein and chow fun were very good. I highly recommend the restaurant if you want good, authentic Cantonese Chinese food! read more

Got the special where it's 3 dishes and 1 soup for $22. Egg drop and chicken soup - the standard fare, nothing new to say. Black pepper beef and peppers - best dish of the night, beef was pretty tender and well seasoned. Cabbage and noodle bowl - we wanted to eat some veggies but it ended up being more like 2/3 noodle and 1/3 cabbage... and no flavor. Salty spicy squid - umm... I've never seen this dish so heavily breaded before, that was pretty shocking. I ended up peeling off the breading and just eating the squid inside. The flavor was good though... I probably would have given 2 stars for the food but for the price we got so much food, I'll raise it to 3 stars for value. We had 3 people and barely ate half of it. I live super close to this restaurant, so it's one of my favorite take out places. It's good Chinese food and it's not too expensive. Beef Chow Mein- my usual. Wet/dry style- both are very good! I am always extremely satisfied with this. Fried Wonton with no filling- I love ordering this. It's pretty much a huge box of rectangle shaped fried wonton. It's way too much for one person, so I can never finish it. But it's great for sharing for an appetizer/snack! Ask for more sauce though. One is just not enough. Great quantity great price. $7 for a whole plateful of fish fillet (6-8 large pieces). Batter wasn't thick and oily which is good and the fish melts on your tongue. Sunday dinner at 8 pm. This has got to be the best time to visit. No wait and great service until the staff sits down for their own dinner. Corn with chicken chowder soup: delicious! Rock cod fillet: battered and served with green onion. Delicious and nit greasy. Clay pot beef: served with shiitake mushrooms, green onion, bean curd : delicious although they could have soaked the bean curd a little longer so that they are soft. The dish had the right amount of sinew and beef chunks. Prawn egg scramble: large prawns, green peas and green onion. Egg perfectly scrambled and they weren't rubbery. Delicious. I would return. All dishes were delicious. Ambiance: wish they would change the phone ringer. The constant ringing really puts a damper. read more

When it came to my turn to order, our waitress suggested that we had already ordered enough for everyone and I'm glad I listened. My husband didn't realize that until he got back home. So he called the restaurant back to let them know they gave us the wrong order and they told him to bring the hot and sour soup back before we can get the soup we actually ordered. I tried a little bit of everything... the Hot and Sour soup was Yummy! Salt and Pepper fish... if my 8yo son likes it..must be good.. and he's a very picky eater. The pot-stickers were so so Good!.. the best I've ever tasted. I was told they are made fresh and not frozen. They were bigger than what I've eaten. Lots of Meat and filling. Also tried the batter dipped prawns, chow mien, and fried rice... and they were all equally good. Their chicken was especially good- perfectly moist and delicious. All four of us really enjoyed our dishes, and felt so much better after consuming it! It was also nice that they brought complementary tea for our table upon first sitting down.
