In general the food was ok, but the clams casino were very sad, just a few pieces of bacon thrown on clams, 1/10. The worst part was the service, slow and rude.

The service was great and everyone was attentive. They took a reservation when we called same night. My Pina colada was made just right and everyone at the table enjoyed their adult beverages as well. No complaints on the food. I hadn't been here in years and wondered why after this visit. We will return!

We were looking for a place to celebrate a birthday. We checked Google and it offered The Pelican as a possibility. We are so happy we selected it. They sat us at a table for six. They offered us drinks, brought bread and took our appetizer order immediately. Jackie was our server. She was a true delight. We loved her. The dinner was a delight to eat. We all order soup or salad and our main courses were different. Everyone agreed their food was warm and tasted great. The place has nice lighting, soft playing music and a great decor. Free parking right out front. Mid to high prices but well worth it. Try this place.

The oysters are always so fresh tasting and can never go wrong with their steaks! Our server (Armijo) was attentive and friendly. This place is good for a casual meal or a special occasion.

Absolutely hate that I couldn't five star this place because I really, really wanted to love it! First time at Pelicans West on Coors I'm not sure what compelled us to dine on a Friday night however the staff and service were awesome. There was about a 25 minute wait around 6 PM however we opted to sit at the oyster bar and chef's kitchen counter, with full view of the entire cooking line. Zero wait there! I think that may have been my favorite part of the experience. The team was amazing, and each person had their station down packed! I didn't see any food sent back and they truly have a really awesome kitchen staff. Unfortunately, I wasn't wowed by the food, specifically because of the price. We don't mind spending money for fine dining however I have an expectation when you are paying a premium. My husband got steak and lobster and it was around $90 for his plate. He wanted asparagus instead of a mixed veggie, which was also an additional charge. The salad dressing was amazing! I really liked the salad bowl, which is unlimited, but there was no way we were asking for a refill because it was plenty full. They also served bread with whipped butter and roasted garlic and I was a huge fan of that! Our shrimp cocktail starter was amazing as well. It was fresh and reasonably priced, in order of four was around $16. So that's pretty consistent with the higher end Steakhouse. I'm not sure that we've ever had Australian lobster just what they were serving. It was not it all fishy and it was prepared to perfection, but I wasn't truly a fan of the taste. Lobster tails that we've eaten in the past typically have a subtley sweet flavor and this one did not. Perhaps it's the way it's prepared however, this was just kinda plan. It was served with drawn better, but we hate dousing in additional sauces. Finally, we got mud pie and we're very impressed with their dessert! That was made in house and was truly tasty! Another thing that I wasn't a fan of was that the server left all of the dishes on the counter, so everything was super crowded. I'm not sure why it wasn't cleared after our appetizer course and then after the salad course, however it never was. Perhaps it's a thing to leave the salad there since there's free refills but wasn't a fan of that. So five stars for the experience and the kitchen team, the restaurant was clean so five stars for that as well... I just wasn't super impressed with the seasoning on the steak and lobster or lack of clearing when main was served.

ALWAYS AMAZING! Keep doing what you're doing. No complaints whatsoever. Do miss some of the old menu items like cedar plank salmon and the way the salad in the bowls used to be served but you guys are top notch. Watching kitchen, wait and bartender staff is like seeing a well oiled machine. Food is great, happy hour specials are wonderful. For martini happy hour it would be so nice to have cold glasses when martinis are poured.

Went to Pelicans for the first time. We were pleasantly suprised. The food was delicious and the service was great. It was a busy night, but we made reservations. We started out with the sizzling mussels which I could have just had as my meal and been satisfied. They were so delicious. I ordered the Sea bass and baked potato with the clam chowder. My husband ordered the steak and lobster with the salad. The salad was pretty hearty with all kinds of veggies, and my clam chowder was full of clams and potatoes. The bread they gave us was also super delicious. The sea bass was a large portion and ended up coming home with me because I was so full after the mussels and soup. The steak was cooked perfectly and the lobster was melt in your mouth delicious. We definitely will be back and order smaller portions.

Usually I need to ad a little salt. Not with this one. My only complaint about the meal was the loaf of bread. It was a crusty baguette, but there was nothing to cut it with. When we ripped into it, the crumb turned into a ball of dough and list all of the airiness that makes bread good. Our server was great. She was very patient and took time to explain the special menu they had for a three course meal that helped benefit the local food bank. She was very attentive, but not assertive. It was well decorated and had a pleasant atmosphere. However, being seated next to the bar AND the kitchen, it was quite loud and noisey. The servers were very noisy slamming the tray stands around. But, I am not going to deduct a star for that. If we had sat elsewhere, it would not have been so bad. Would I go again? Absolutely. I recommend that everyone should try it at least once!

It's lovely outside and in. Though the building has been there for many years now, they have remained in business and kept up on the cleanliness. It's still beautiful! I ordered the chopped salad with salmon. The salad was absolutely delicious, but it was not a chopped salad. It was closer to a tossed salad because the lettuce was not chopped as you would expect. No biggie! I just chopped it up myself. The bacon on it was scrumptious and the salmon was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The salad dressing was a creamy vinaigrette and it went perfectly with the dish. I recommend! We shared a Crème Brûlée that was HUGE and delicious as well. I ordered the passion fruit lemon drop drink and it was tasty and strong. The service was prompt and kind. He got all of our orders correct and was highly attentive. I'll definitely be back soon!! Cheers!

The gentleman manning the raw bar was all around excellent, extremely helpful when it came to helping my partner figure out what oysters would suit her tastes. Our dedicated server was less helpful. Although she suggested a dish for me as non dairy, the bread that came with it ended up being soaked in butter. Fortunately the gentleman at the bar saved the day and brought some toasted bread, sans butter. Cocktails - 5/5 Both of the drinks we had were excellent. Not oversweetened. Good evolution. Hook Platter - 3/5 Oysters were deliciously fresh and the fact theyre flown in daily really showed. The prawns were large, but I found them a bit overcooked for my taste. The class were similarly nothing to write home about. The tuna tartar was fresh, but not particularly flavorful. Perhaps a fattier cut of tuna might make it stand out a bit more. The sauces, however, were both excellent, and made the prawns a bit more tolerable. Overall, I'd recommend skipping the platter and just ordering the oysters. Red Curry Mussels 4/5 - For better or worse the bread dipped in curry sauce is the best part. The mussels themselves were good, but there were also several unopened ones left in the dish. The vegetables included in the dish didnt really go all that well with the curry base either. With some refinement, this dish could really be improved, but it was reasonably tasty as is. Overall, I can comfortably say LURE is an excellent choice for cocktails and oysters, but if thats not what you want, there may be better places to be. However, with some investment into the rest of the menu, LURE could become THE seafood destination in Albuquerque.

We got the boil added clams and black mussels more then half the mussels were unopened which we saved let them know. "We can cook them more was the response we got" If you know anything about shellfish you should know If mussels don't open when you cook them, the usual rule is: don't eat them. * Most of the time: a mussel that stays closed after cooking was already dead before cooking, and that can make it unsafe to eat. * Food safety rule: toss any that don't open after being fully cooked. So absolutely not and risk getting sick I complained said I want them removed do you think they removed them NO they still charged us for half when I had 14 mussels sitting there unopened. We initially decided on this place because they offered oysters on a half shell. I figured they would be small oysters, but no, these oysters reminded me of the size of gulf oysters. The oyster dish came with all of the fixings, horseradish sauce, cocktail sauce, tabasco sauce, lemons, and crackers. I enjoyed every single bite. We ordered a seafood boil dish combo #2 that came with Dungeness Crab Legs, shrimp, clams, sausage, red potatoes, and corn in a crab house cajun sauce with heat level medium spicy. The boil came out just as I finished my last oyster. I failed to take a picture of the beautiful seafood dish before us. Plan to get messy with this place. They put down paper on the table when arriving, and they give gloves and a bib to wear. I took off all of my rings and I got busy cracking and peeling. The cajun garlic butter sauce was so flavorful. I couldn't get enough of it. I swept and dipped my seafood pieces around in it until I could scoop up enough to enjoy with every bite. Our server was attentive to our needs, and the bathroom was clean upon my visit. I didn't mind the walls and poles that were written on. It added its own character.

This charming little bistro near the south end of Old Town is elegant, welcoming, and truly a hidden gem. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He also took the time to recommend several local restaurants and places to visit, which we really appreciated. We started with the mussels, and they were outstanding--fresh, tender, and served in a rich, spicy butter broth with perfectly toasted crusty bread for dipping. My cedar plank salmon was cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and paired with a delicious chorizo risotto. My husband ordered the filet mignon, and after trying a bite, I can understand why he said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had. The mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetables were the perfect complement, and the fresh salad with homemade dressing was a great start to the meal. To top off the evening, the staff surprised me with a three-flavor sherbet dessert complete with a birthday candle and a thoughtful personalized birthday card. It was such a sweet touch that made me feel truly celebrated. We couldn't leave without trying the German chocolate cake, and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dinner.
