There are NO good Bagels in New Hope, so I drive 20+ minutes here. Their Bagels are FRESH, they aren't over baked. Besides Bagels and spreads like Cream Cheese/Butter/Jelly/etc, they have Breakfast Sandwiches and Sandwiches for Lunch. I usually stop for Lunch so I'll do a Combo which will get you a side (Macaroni Salad, Potato Salad or Coleslaw) and a Pickle. I haven't had a combo I didn't like. I haven't tried the Potato Salad or Coleslaw because the Macaroni is so good, I can't not get it. If you like Hoagies, definitely try one here. They are made on Bagel Twists! It's busy on the weekends, so I'd get there early or you risk not getting your favorite kind of Bagel. Egg is mine, and there's been a few times they ran out. Another thing you can do is order online, it makes pick up a lot easier.

Pennington Bagel Experience sits in the far corner of Pennington Plaza on Route 31, right next to Diamond's. Nearly impossible to see unless you know where to look. The shop is a community hangout with small and large tables for customers, and a bagel centric menu for sandwiches breakfast and lunch. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. Coffee is strong and flavorful. Ordering is done in the far right corner next to the large bins holding their precious treasures. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese on onion sammy and retreated to a crumb filled table to await my meal. It arrived quickly with a smile. I liked their rendition of this traditional offering, although it would have been better had the store actually had a grill for the egg and meat preparation. I am not a fan of microwaved eggs, and although very bouffant from the radiation, there was not a yolk to be found. Taste of the egg was bland, but the sausage patty and bagel pulled it through. The bagel was of the light and airy school, which I prefer. I have to remember to ask about the cooking fixtures to avoid the nuked approach to grilling in the future. This Pennington Bagel was generally a good experience, but it could be so much better if they were allowed to use hot steel for cooking. That microwave is holding them back. 3.5 Stars

Our not-so-great experience may have been a result of the choices we made, but I'm unsure. When you first enter you are in front of a nicely stocked meat counter, loaded with different deli meats. To the left is a dining area with a sign stating "seat yourself". The place is a bit dated with a nice casual vibe. We were greeted by a server who gave us menus and took our drink orders. Service was top notch. When it came time to order I asked how the pastrami was. Server replied "the best". Ok I'll take a pastrami sandwich, my wife a corned beef. The server also asked if we wanted pickles and tomatoes which I said yes. She quickly brought a little bowl, which I chopped up and we enjoyed. The sandwiches came out and these things could've come from a school cafeteria honestly. A minimal amount of cold, sliced meat along with a small bag of chips was unimpressive. What happened to the warm, thick cut, juicy meat sandwich you could barely get your mouth around that we expected? We looked at each other thinking WTF? No sooner did we notice a sign on the wall "NY style, thick cut pastrami and corned beef NOW AVAILABLE" Now maybe we just don't want to accept responsibility but shouldn't the server have asked if that's what we wanted? Anyway we left hungry and saddened by our $48 experience. Def not worth it.

I had a smaller of breakfast meats, omelet, Rueben for lunch and mozzarella sticks. Everything was cooked well. They have the nice and thin sausage patties. I was surprised at the size of the sausage links. Cooked well for the size. They have thick cut bacon, which is surprising. The potatoes were crisp and they do have the option for well done. The Rueben was stacked with corned beef. The coleslaw wasn't saturated with mayonnaise like a lot are. Overall recommend!

If you like to walk the aisles, this is also a full service store that has KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY and helpful staff. I am emphasizing this because of the dumb and sour possess that go to work only for their paychecks elsewhere. When you check-out, besides bagging, they offer to walk you to car to load-up. yellow-where do you get THAT ? I have always supported this market. I think that if I was elderly, it would help me to keep my independence. but in these apocalypse times, this grocer has turned good service into necessity. Better than most store is their cultural and local variety which is always fresh and also interesting new items as well as various ethnic flavors. They run good sales, honor their sales, and run a very clean shop. I have be turned onto several local brands, new cheeses, and finally went back to eating lunch meats because of PQM. You can even order meals pre-made. As always, i am a firm supporter and only shop here. It's normally a 20 minute drive home but because of the rain, it took nearly 30. When we got home, the sub was not soaked to the point where the bread was falling apart, which shows they add just enough and the bread is sturdy. It was just as good as I remember it. I wish I could find someplace similar closer to home but don't mind the drive back to K&S.
