The mussaman curry was so yummy! I can't wait to go back and try more. The Thai Tea was also amazing! One of the best Thai Tea i've had in a while. :) The restaurant is small, but very cozy.

    Thai food with the hubs.

Casual, clean, no frills location with close and free parking. Good portions, in fact hubs was delighted with the chicken he received, and we had the spice rack to season our dishes to our liking. Vegan and vegetarian options. No liquor available, just coffee, tea, water and I assume soda. Pleasant staff and good service. A little pricey, but we were glad to support a local business tonight.

Many years ago when my father was still living, he took my oldest brother and I who were visiting from San Diego to his favorite Thai place in Henderson. We had an epic meal, as all of us love Thai food. It has been a favorite memory of ours, especially after he passed. Today, while visiting in LV we decided to try to find it again, how hard could it be right....truly a needle in a haystack since there were more than 20 possibilities near his old house. I got out my trusted YELP, and started searching through all the locations, looking for photos of the outside as that was all we had to jog our memories. Finally we agreed on the one possibility and headed over. Lo and behold we had found the location and headed in to enjoy the moment, memories and food!!! The inside had been remodeled very nicely. We were greeted immediately and seated. The menu has lots of great options, and many of them are specialty items I always look for. We started out with beef jerky, papaya salad and sticky rice, and a side order of the stuffed chicken wings. Super yummy!!! Next we ordered the Basil ka prow pork and the Nom Kau Tod...hope I got those right. Both were delicious, especially the last dish....great presentation and so much flavor. Once again, another amazing meal and a happy memory created with my big bro, honoring our father at his favorite Thai joint. These are my favorite foodie moments...good food and good company. Thanks Yelp for saving the day. Until next time Penn's!!!

little hidden gem! quick and kind service! everything we got was good! would come again!

Please be aware when ordering from this place. They over charged me, we only order large shrimp tom yum $16.96, beef Pad see ew $14.95 chicken fried rice $12.95 plus $5 for a side of white rice and my total somehow came out to $70. I know for a fact tax is not $20. Make sure you don't get scammed!

First time back since they reopened after a remodel...had a bowl of wonton soup which was enough to share, good broth and not too salty, also had some chicken curry and ordered a side of steamed vegetables, also had an order of pad thai. We ordered all as a 5 on the spice level but were actually surprised at how spicy the pad thai was for a 5 but it still was very good.

First the good. . There is a very nice friendly man who hustles. He does everything and really moves. I mean he literally runs. He puts his heart and soul into it. The food is hot. They put a burning thing on the bottom of the soup. Also the chicken satay arrived hot and so did the curry. The wait was long. There was only one man and I'm sure he was probably helping in the back too. Unless he was cooking and serving too? Idk. He was the best ever though. Best attitude I have ever seen. Works hard. The chicken satay $14.95 was hot and the chicken itself was ok. The satay sauce was sickeningly sweet. Tasted like high fructose corn syrup. Disappointed because I was craving a rich peanut buttery flavor. Or a lot of chicken. The Tom Kha flavor was perfect. $20. Decent size bowl too. It should be for $20. Bamboo shoot pieces were nice and big. The red chicken curry was also good. Sweeter than I'd like but could eat. I do love some sweetness but I don't want it tasting like sweet pancake syrup was poured in. I love the taste of the food without it. Kind of a non de script hole in the wall location but definitely not hole in the wall prices. That nice man was the best thing about this restaurant. The food and value are not worth it. I would come back just to support a business with that man though. He needs help. I wish they could hire help for him.

Best place to get Thai in Henderson. It looks like a crappy place in a strip mall but it's better than it looks. Penn's Thai House is known for having shit that's incredibly spicy. A bad thing if it's already hot outside. Thankfully they were good with getting the water. A pretty nondescript looking place in a crummy strip mall off Sunset in some industrial area. It's the kind of place that looks like only locals know of. This was a great find though. Okay prices. We got a few things that were vegan. It's about $12 for an entree. Pretty okay for the big portions. I got the Cashew Nut. This is a choice of protein with carrots, onions, and special chili paste. Hot stuff and that wasn't even adding any spice to it. The vegetarian choice is tofu. For sure it's better than it looks. It's a small place with a big menu. There's plenty to get for vegans and vegetarians.

    Do they accommodate allergies?

They are very nice and I'm sure they can accommodate but thai food has alot of ingredients that people tend to be allergic to.

What can be made gluten free here?

I had some favorite ramen shops in Philly that I still think are stellar, but the one thing they were missing was this minced pork. I will add that **** to EVERY kind of ramen bowl! I like it even more than the char siu! I ordered the takoyaki appetizer and was not disappointed. I must have been a cat in a past life because I am obsessed with bonito fish flakes and you can never put too many of those on top. The only thing I struggle with is the fact that I feel guilty eating octopus, so I don't order takoyaki as often as I used to. The service is friendly and the beer is cold. The ambience is relatively low lighting, cozy izakaya vibe, with modern touches in the decor. The icing on the cake is the face that they have melon cream soda. Ramen. Minced Pork. Beer. Melon soda. Cozy, clean atmosphere. You don't have to twist my arm to get me to tell you I'm a regular now. My mom tried tonkatsu for the first time and I'm happy to report that she really liked it. (I knew she would.) Also, if you are a sometimes solo diner like me, this is a nice little hideaway for that too.

I was greeted right away by the lovely Jay. She took my drink order and let me look over the menu. Then, I saw it , Tsukemen ramen. My favorite ramen dish ever! I ordered the soft shell crab as an appetizer. It arrived quickly and looked amazing. The soft shell crab was absolutely delicious. The sauces were exactly what I wanted , sweet, creamy and spicy. The Tsukemen flavors were off the charts. The pork chashu was grilled and had an awesome char flavor. The soy 6min egg was so good and the kimchi was fresh , sweet and perfectly spicy. The dipping broth was also beyond good. I wondered if this was the best thing on the menu. I saw other diners looking at my table. This happens a lot, when I eat Tsukemen. I think it's not a common order for most people. Can't wait to go back and this again next time I'm in town.

Located somewhere in a sprawling Stephanie plaza between Ross and Hobby Lobby, it's somehow managed to survive despite being on hardly anyone's radar. Initially, I had eyes on a salmon app, but I eventually read enough of the menu to notice the Orange Salmon ($13.99), apparently classified as a no-rice roll or something. This is indeed a rendition of a certain famous "new" sashimi-style dish with salmon slices paired with orange slices and an umami dressing. It doesn't super evoke the awe and nostalgia of the original version I had, maybe lacking some orange punch and also using larger but lower quality salmon sashimi cuts. Fortunately, the presence of all the sauces, orange wedges, and microgreens bestows enough flavor to cover for that issue. I also found a more interesting option than a hot bowl of soup in their menu. The Black Garlic Mazemen ($14.99) is a sauced bowl of kale noodles (yep, they're green) with spicy ground pork, chashu, and some sort of mixed greens. It is served hot, so it isn't as much of a relief during the summer, but you can mostly handle it without a spoon. The noodles are coated with that luscious, perhaps under-described sauce that didn't really speak "yuzu" to me. The ground pork doesn't make the whole thing too spicy, and the thin chashu slices are nicely caramelized and tender. I was quite happy with the dish and would order it again as soon as tomorrow. Umai Ramen is really a hidden gem. I can't speak for their regular ramen menu, but I had some very nice dishes here tonight and suggest that anyone else in Henderson who's overlooked them make a stop for either lunch or dinner.

Came here with a friend to have a little dinner session and we stumbled across this restaurant. We were going to go to the well-known Thai restaurant however we decided to try this place out. All the other Thai restaurants have nothing compared to Charms. Each of their menu items were by for the most freshest food you could eat. The staff was very attentive and willing to tell us what they're specially known for. We ordered the papaya salad by far the best papaya salad I had in years! Then I had a lychee and pineapple curry. By far the most scrumptious, sweet and sour curry you could have! If you love spice, this place is giving you authentic spice temperature to others! My friend had the Tom Ka and the generous portion of muscles made us fall in love with this beautiful decorated store! Don't forget, they have breakfast and coffee, which I would love to try when I'm in the area! By far, probably the best Thai restaurant that's reasonable priced and offers phenomenal service! authenticity Charms -- ! -- ! ! ! ! !
