Entrance to People's pharmacy from Southbound Lamar side.

Not just a pharmacy! They have an adorable Deli that serves vegan food. A healthy choice of drinks and this place is one of the places that uses best practices for Covid. Grab some stuff from the deli and sit outside for a bit :) They have a convenient hand sanitizing station outside of the door which I really appreciate before touching door handles. - Cleaniness "on my level" Even the floors are clean. - Knowledgeable staff - Rewards program They'll let you know if you have a dollar (not percentage) discount off a purchase you are about to make. - if they don't have it in stock at the North Lamar store, they called the one down south and I'm able to get my dog's arthritis supplements the same day. Every time. Super reasonable rates! For context, I picked up the same medication at the veterinary's office which cost over $150. I am able to get the same three supplements he needs for less than $80 (full, 3 month supply) *I typically go in there just to get something from the deli and to pick up standard process supplements. I am fairly sure they check every single thing when it comes in because I have never had any broken packages or had to return anything. As a super bonus - not only are the staff knowledgeable and detail oriented, they also talk to you like they care about you (and my pet, in this case) Side Note - I did hear today that they are getting a little more strict about pet supplements. Just make sure you have a name from your veterinarian. Literally, the best pricing in town, local vibe, and a place to sit and read the chronicle :) Tip: Try to park in the back, the front has three pick up spaces. And, in case you are experiencing symptoms they have a very quick call in and fill process. I don't think I've ever waited more than 15 minutes.

I love this place and LOVE the juices. I only wish there was a return program for the bottles that accumulate rather quickly. My recycling team is so over my new obsession. I bet he loves the times I'm traveling for work and as a result the recycling bin is lighter.

We typically go to the roof to eat and to let the kids run around the playscape. If anyyyyy corporate Whole Foods people are reading this- can we please update the play area? Maybe add to it? Or make it toddler friendly? I know I'm being picky we just come so much and it would be a dream update.

It's a market, so they have a produce section, dried goods section and more. That also have a (breakfast) taco bar, and a food warming station stocked with hot sandwiches and the like. Someone there suggested to get a Seitan Ruben, but it turned out to be a terrible decision. I think the bread part was ok, but the innards had a nasty sour flavor that wasn't really from the sauce. The sauce was not uniformly distributed; one side was very saucy. It was pretty disgusting and ended up passing through my system pretty quickly. We also grabbed a hot chicken sandwich. Because they wrap their sandwiches in paper lined foil, the latter one was soggy. It pales in comparison to chicken sandwiches at Popeyes or Chick-fil-A. However, we did spot flan from a local producer we enjoyed from one of the farmers markets, so not all was lost. Parking is plentiful. If you want to eat here, there is an eating area near the entrance. In that area, they have paintings from local artists. The bathrooms are reasonably clean. I would need to return again to assess whether or not to include the grocery portion of the store as a grocery shopping option. So far the prepared foods are a no-go.

Often, food additives are preservatives added to keep the food fresh for longer. However, buying from the farm is safe. It comes from the farm or grocery direct to you. Additionally, farm-fresh foods help reduce stress and fatigue. Veggies and whole fruits are fiber-rich foods that lower the effect of depression and enhance your mood (score)! That's finally changed with the arrival of Conscious Kitchen ATX, a new wholesome oasis in West Lake Hills. Opened just three weeks ago, it's already redefining what it means to eat well and be well. Nuts and seeds form the incredibly hearty foundation for most meals, like the pizza slathered with pesto and sun-dried tomato sauce, veggie burgers that use two patties instead of buns, and hefty breads that could double as savory granola bars. I was treated to a sampler platter because I always need a little taste of everything. Try to save room for dessert though, because these creamy creations are something else. My favorite was the coffee cake, which actually relies on chicory root to impart a caffeine-free latte-like flavor. Conscious Kitchen isn't just filling a gap in the local food scene, it's rewriting the script on what healthy eating taste like. The proof is on the plate that raw food can be decadent and crave-worthy, too.

I wanted to get this for my book club soiree, but did not have time to make a visit as it is a little north of downtown. Antonelli's Cheese Shop is charming and quaint. While the shop is small they have an assortment of items to sell in addition to cheese - wine, sauces, jellies, etc. I was immediately greeted upon entry into Antonelli's cheese shop. Two other customers were being helped, however, I had a store associate offer me some cheese samples. While the samples were good, I was specifically interested in the three cream cheese. They had two choices to select from. I was hoping they had more. This is a shop you need to spend some time in to leisurely evaluate the cheeses. There was also a human size dog in the shop at the time. I don't know what is about dogs, they like to lick me. Guess what...I do not like to be licked. So, I jetted out of the store.

They have wine, jams/jelly/preserves. Chocolates, and olives. They also have premade charcuterie boards too. When I came, they were giving away free cheese everyday of the week. The first 100 people that were in line. Free cheese? Yes please. As you can imagine, there was a long line of people waiting, and with the store being small, we were sent in in small groups. Couple people come out, couple people go in. As the line shortens and you get to the counter. You're given your free cheese, and asked what type of cheese you like. I gave my favorites, soft cheese, like brie, hard cheese, like manchego I like spicy cheese like hatched chili cheese or a jalapeño cheese. So after giving some examples of cheese that I like the gentleman helping me brought out three different samples and we tried them together and loved every one of them so I chose which ones I liked out of the three and then we moved down the counter a little bit, and the gentleman brought out another selection of three cheeses, and I tried those and told him which ones I liked, and they were all phenomenal. The gentleman that helped me was very attentive. He listened. he gave examples exactly what I was asking for and it was absolutely beautiful experience. even though they were packed and crazy and had 100 people waiting outside. He just treated me like we were just one on one. He took his time with me. I thought it was such a spectacular experience very personable. I walked out with 5 different cheeses. A bar of orange chocolate with dried cherries. And a baguette. And let me tell you, I ate so good during our Texas ice storm 2026! So here's the down side. Parking. There are like 8 parking spots in front. And a couple parking in the back. But beyond the back, there is a small pay with a QR code parking. It's a bit of a struggle as far as parking goes. There is no street parking. But I'm sure when you're not dealing with 100 customers it's not as much of a struggle. There are 2 accessible parking spots out front. Had a great experience. And will come back again.
