Once again, here I am to review and cannot give ZERO stars. It is months after the fact though, as my mother passed away. I have had NO time to address this BS yet don't want to see it a happen to anyone else. I really thought after my last review, and you demoting the blonde female manager, and replacing her with the person I suggested, Caleb, everything would straighten out over there. It would seem that Caleb has now become "one of them". He has obviously been corrupted. My relatively new (2-3 mos old) tires were feathering. Caleb came out from the back, rather aggressively, asking me if I had hit a curb or pothole and insisting that I had done something to damage the car. I hit nothing with my car and told him so. It became clear that in order to shirk responsibility for the damage THEY did to my vehicle while in their possession, they were on the attack, MORE than insinuating I was at fault. It was obvious they knew what they had done and were trying to cover by blaming the customer. Upon further investigation, I BELIEVE that Pep Boys is responsible for my car falling off the jack. I have contacted the family attorney and will make a complaint to the BBB. I will never go to Pep Boys again and those of you reading, should beware of this type of business tactic. *Caleb, I was instrumental in having you promoted, I can be instrumental in having you demoted as well. Shame on you. You knew very well that Pep Boys did anywhere from $1,000.00 to $2,000.00 breaking the tie rod. Nice try. Get off their wagon, it will be your undoing. This place is extremely slow!!!! An hour and a half for a simple oil change. The car was up on the lift for almost an hour as the tech walked back and forth like he had all day to get done. Not ever going back to this place. read more

Doesn't rain in too much in Arizona but today it did. My wipers were in tatters on the verge of shredding off, popped in in a Sunday to this place I honestly didn't even know was there. Guided immediately into a bay then into the store to buy the wipers. Helped outside and in by two uber-pleasant men. Paid for the blades and they were installed in 2 minutes. I swear from entering to exit I was there less than 5 minutes. Talk about great service! read more

I used this location because it's convenient even though I was told to avoid at all costs! It changes mgmt. every month and cannot keep employees, I'll tell you why... Jayme the store manager is rude, condescending and had zero customer service skills. He makes you call other centers to get info on your previous visits just to make his job easier, he calls and gives no description of the services he performed without my approval. He charged me a battery disposal fee and $15 tax on a less than 6 month warranty that even he admitted was a bad battery! When I inquired about the battery being bad so quickly he stated "shit happens". When I questioned the bill I received for a warranted battery he said and just who do you expect to pay the taxes !? I was leaving the office and he never even thanked me for my business so when I said you're welcome he ignored me! I went to my vehicle only to find grease on my entire interior of my lightly colored, and recently detailed interior. He immediately got defensive, told me to pull it up to a bay so he didn't have to walk into the parking lot, then began to call his tech at home and ask if he'd ruined my interior. Lastly he said he was 100% sure Phoenix towing did it because the tow truck driver didn't know what he was doing! He lastly said they won't do shit for me because he used to work in that industry. He also lied that they don't get grease on cars because his people where gloves, long sleeves and he was sure everything in my vehicle was covered! The tech put covers over the deep black grease stains !?! My neighbor works for Pep Boys and told me the manager was lying as he stood in front of me after his shit covered in black oil from head to toe! So buyer beware, go somewhere who is honest and appreciates your business. I will never return. read more

Pep boys is great both in price and service. I bought tires from them about 6 months ago and my left rear tire seemed to go flat over a 3 day period. Set an appt and they found two nails in that tire and two other nails in two more tires. I didn't buy road hazard insurance on them but they fix if they can free of charge. I had them do an o change while I was there and it is normally $100 per change due to 8 qts of oil and synthetic for a Mercedes. The manager said she found some for less and reduced the cost to $65 for me. Also rotated the tires free of charge. They match prices apparently and then take an additional 5% off that according to a phone call I overheard. I'd definitely recommend giving them a try. read more

Last Sunday, I went in to Pep Boys to arrange for her tires and wheels to be put-on. The GM, Debbie, was rude and condescending to me, and the same treatment was given her employee. She is a know it all, and was sighing in disgust as though the employee and I were bothering her in asking for her assistance/direction. She acted as though my very presence was an inconvenience to her because she was just "so busy". NOT. She was not busy, just had a very bad attitude. I left there feeling sorry for the employee and disgusted that someone like this continues to be left in authority. FYI She gave, no, she insisted that she was right, and proceeded to instruct the employee incorrectly- My tires did NOT contain the type of valves that have to be removed. I am the original owner of the car and it did not come with electronic sensors. This person has no business dealing with the customer, nor should she be training anyone. I purchased a used car that didn't have a locking gas cap. I bought a cheap one for $14 online and after three uses it jammed and I couldn't get it loose. A gentleman at the gas station tried to help and he couldn't get it open either. I was down to a quarter tank of gas and getting worried when I remembered that Pep Boys carries parts and also does service. I drove to my nearest Pep Boys and was helped immediately. Stella found the proper locking gas cap for me and Joseph removed the old one. I left with only a $16 charge for the part and no charge for the labor. My grandpa and I go to pep boys and have spent over 3000 to fix my car and tires my grandpa always get the warranty every time but when something happens to the tire they ALWAYS say it's not the tires or it's not the right warranty we always work with Deborah, well this time I JUST got out of the hospital and my front tire is completely flat so me being 8 months pregnant say okay good they are under warranty and I just got them replaced May 1st so not a big deal go straight to pep boys no shoes just out of the hospital and they are saying that my front tires are not under warranty and it's 126 dollars. I hate this place we go to the same pep boys on Sossaman and main every time and there service is horrible completely HORRIBLE. Do not go to this pep boys they will drain every penny out of you. I went to the store in Mesa, Arizona off main street for two tires.I had called them the day before to order the tires to the store and they told me they would be in by eleven. My spare blew out on the road ten minutes from the store. I had a family member pick me up and take me to get a tire while my friend stayed behind in the Arizona heat of the summer with no air conditioning. I got to the store and not only were the tires not in, but Debbie was trying to charge me almost $50 more than what the price online had shown. The general manager of the store (Debbie) was extremely rude and was talking about me like I couldn't hear her and passed me off to another woman named Stella who was the service manager for the store. Stella understood my situation and immediately got me a tire to get my car into the shop and my friend off the road. She gave us all water and even upgraded my tires for the same price as the original ones since they still had not come in. She was the nicest person I have ever met and took very good care of me. If you ever need anything for your car, go to Stella. She will definitely take care of you. Debbie needs to go.I almost had an anxiety attack talking to her because it was so overwhelming. read more

I had gone in to purchase a compass for my Fathers new car. While I was there I found the remote entry keys. The girl at the counter "Desiree" ordered the specific one that I needed for my truck. True to her word, when the item came in she called me. When I went to pick it up, I noticed that I needed new windshield wiper blades...once again "Desiree" found the ones that I needed. Then I asked about an oil change...it will be done in 1/2 hour. Perfect....Needless to say...,the whole experience as ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. My oil was changed, they put on the new wiper blades and the mechanic was nice enough to help me program my remote. Truly a terrific experience!!!!!! read more

They suck, I ordered rims online for my car and the expected time of arrival was 2 days from when I ordered them. No biggie but after 3 days I called to get a update on my rims and the lady that answered said it would be 3 weeks. So I cancelled my order and the very next day they called and told me they were ready for pick up. I will NEVER use pep boys for anything. read more

I met one of your employees while I was waiting for a table at a restaurant last week. She overheard me telling my friend how I was having a hard time finding a place I could trust to take my vehicle to for new tires. I am recently divorced and this was always something my husband took care of. She introduced herself and explained that she knew how I felt. She made me feel at ease and that I could trust her to take care of my vehicle. I got my new tires a few days later and she was there to personally help me that day. She has a customer for life now. I wish there were negative stars for this Pep Boys store!!!! I was there this past Saturday, April 9th. Was greeted very unfriendly by Caleb. I went in to get Freon added to my a/c system. My appointment was for 11:00. My car was not brought into a stall until 11:30 and then another tech came to tell me that rather than just add the Freon, they would like to do an inspection to find out where the problem is in my a/c system. I informed them that I already know where the problem is, I was told last year by my regular mechanic that my compressor is bad but that to replace that is going to be very expensive. My car is a 2000, I don't want to invest that kind of money into something I won't have much longer. They insisted that for $34.95 I could get a second opinion and check for an a/c hose leak and basically insisted that they do this before they could or would add Freon to my car. I unhappily agreed and asked how much longer this would take and was told 30 mins. An hour and a half later, no one has come to give me any answers so I go up front and they say they are just inputting the technicians' results into the computer. Sure enough, my a/c compressor is bad. Really? I told them that from the very beginning so it cost me $39.95 to tell them what was wrong with my car and then, on top of that, they want $189.00 to add Freon. Needless to say, I left with no Freon and $40.00 poorer but Caleb acted like they did me a favor by vacuuming out my a/c motor. Gee, thanks!!! Oh, and the GM, Deborah, all I saw her do for the entire 2 hours I was there, is stand outside, smoke. I guess I need to do my research on Yelp before bringing my vehicle to any mechanic!!!! read more

I have never experienced such horrible service in my life! I made a 9am appointment for 5/18/18, got my vehicle there on time, and was told it was a 4.5 hour job. Didn't hear after 5.5 hours so I called, was told they found another issue that had to be fixed and it would be another 3 hours. Got a call after 3.5 hours to be told that there was ANOTHER issue, the tech had gone home, and I would not be getting my vehicle until the next day. I was told, after asking, that the tech would be in at 10am and it would be a 2.5 hour job. Again, after not hearing for 4.5 hours, I called and was told there was still a problem and it wasn't ready. I have been stranded without a vehicle from 9am Friday morning unitl now, 3:45pm Saturday. My entire weekend is ruined. I missed a concert because I had no transportation, and no one cares. They have a la-dee-da attitude like it's no big deal. This company is a joke and I personally don't feel I should have to pay for ANY of this work, because I was over promised, and under served multiple times. read more

I go in and tell them what the car sounds like or feels like when I drive, they find the problem and explain to me what needs done along with letting me know the prices. I have gone to them for transmission repairs, recently the rear axel and 4 new tires. Never had any problems. read more

I could not have had better service from this location, from the store manager Debbie Penn the service manager, Paul and all the staff. I brought my sons car in for an AC problem. I have not had the best luck with these types of repairs. I shared my concern with Debbie before the repair was made. Debbie and the entire staff stood 100% behind the diagnosis and repairs. They took the time needed and went above and beyond with excellent customer service. I would highly recommend them, as they are honest and trustworthy. read more

Pep Boys are a really horrible company!!! Their towing services never came to my house. Finally after 4 hours I called another towing service and they were here within 30 minutes. Pep Boys got my car and it took them over an hour to diagnose it. It was the starter, which I told them that in the beginning. They said it would only take an hour to replace it so I had my daughters boyfriend drop me off at 6pm, an hour an a half later. I asked them how is my car doing and they said they hadn't even started working on it yet but it would be a real quick job to do. Mind you they close at 7pm. Come to find out that they got the wrong part and I cant get my car until tomorrow now around noon. Thank goodness I only live a mile away so I walked home. ALL of my possessions are in that car. I literally have nothing in my house. No bedding, no clean clothes, no dog food and even no food for myself!!! Oh and I have no deodorant and I stink soooo bad. Lmao. I didnt think this day could get any worse but it did!!!! I dont think that I will EVER be able to get out of this state or even this town!!!! read more

I had a synthetic oil change done today with a tire rotation. On the way home my low air pressure light come on and when I get home I get out to check my tires. I notice that I'm missing my locking lug nut on my right front tire which costco told me about a few months ago when they filled up my tires, which I since forgot about. Which no one at pep boys said again thing about it. Which you would think they would since you sell them. I then notice damage on the side wall I had notice a few months ago on the front right tire. So I walked around looking closer I see that the tires on the right side were not rotated. Same damage on front right and missing lug lock. My car is dirty from the and hasn't been washed in 2 weeks both tire/rim on right are dirty no signs of being removed. How ever on the left side you can see that there are clean spot from being handled. And I know that the left rear tire is now on the left front since I have 3 firestone tire and one michelin since I had a left rear blow about six months ago and the michelin was on the left rear. So I look up how to rotate tires left rear should have been put on front right not front left. So basic my tire rotation was left front to left rear and left rear to left front. So now Im wondering did they change the oil or the oil filter. Did I just pay $55 to have 2 tire swapped. Only the front left was properly rotated 1 out 4. took car in on 11/18/16 at 1.15 car was heating up they said they would check it and see what the problem was ,, at 4.15 service manager said problem was the cooling fan was not working he needed to have another teck look at and fix at 5.00 he said they would not be able to fix until next morning it would take about 2 hours to fix so would be ready by 9.00 the next morning but to be safe around 9.30 I explained I had no way to get there the next morning he said no problem when it was fixed someone would pick me up ,, I did not hear from anyone so finally I called at 11.00 and was told by Debbie they were just finished I told her I needed someone to pick me up as I have no other car she was very rude and explained they were very busy but would get back with me within the hour for a ride no one ever called and I was lucky enough to get a friend from apache junction to give me RIDE at 1.30 and went to the store the car was finished and had been since 11.00 there was no apology I can not believe some one did not call and give me the courtesy of at least an explanation I am very disappointed read more
