    Consomé

Order was wrong, I had a side of consomé that was nothing but oil!! I've noticed that a lot of the meat in the quesa birria is just fat!!

What a waste of time, gas and food!

I ordered carne asada burrito for my mom I said only carne asada with cheese tortillas and I said no beans and rice am so disappointed when I got home they didn't follow my order at all they still put beans and rice on it. Again am so disappointed!

Stopped in here at about 10am on a Friday because Denny's was too crowded, and it was the best decision ever! There was one other customer when we arrived, and two or three other tables arrived after us. The ambiance inside is great - lots of tables, high ceilings, and large windows letting lots of natural light in. I got the chicken enchiladas plate, which is my go-to, and my partner got the huevos con chorizo. I am not exaggerating when I say these were the most delicious enchiladas I have ever had in my life. Every part of the plate was amazing; it came with 3 verde chicken enchiladas, beans with cheese, rice, and sour cream (that DID NOT cost extra!). It was so delicious and filling, I took one enchilada home and it was just as good after being microwaved. I was thoroughly impressed with the service too - we both got coffees which were consistently refilled before they could get half-empty. The food took a little while, but was 100% worth it. Please go check this place out next time you are in the area, you won't regret it!

Today I decided to stop in and try the Friday special, fish and chips. My server Brenda was very attentive and friendly. My ice tea never reached the bottom of the glass. The fish was yummy and came out crispy and hot.. I did get more as it was all you can eat.. The fries were crispy and hot too.. I brought my favorite soup home with me.. Pepper Pot Soup.. Yummy.. Thank You I will be back...FYI the toast was yummy too, I wanted to ask for more..

    Let's try this out

Service is quick didn't wait long to be seated And our food came out quick as well Food tasted good some waiters here look and sound like they don't want to be here but the rest of the people were nice and friendly

I waited about an hour for these so called enchiladas and the cheese was burnt on the enchilada the beans tasted sour, rice was hard.

To begin with the employee seemed in a rush no patience whatsoever as I had a large order I guess customer service is not their thing, Food taste and quality is horrible I waited about an hour for them to give me my last part of my order some so called enchiladas that had the cheese burnt on to the top of the enchilada, the beans had a sour taste and the rice was hard, As a local for over a decade now this was my first and last time here, food is over priced don't waste your money here you are better off with any of the street vendors down the street!!!

Pepper Steak is king, but I will take credit for a day.

Good American chow. No pretenses, no gimmicks, no foo foo nonsense. Reminds me of ordinary places in the midwest or upper South, where you'd find the same kind of chow in every town. But out here in SoCal, it's rare, and to me a national treasure, like a historic landmark you can eat. I like to have real food at places like The Pep. Exhibit A: Chicken fried steak. My nod to healthy eating prompts me to take the gravy on the side. I know, the shame my parents must bear. Very good! Some pepper, crust crunchy and not thin, crust stays attached to said steak, and tender steak, all with a fried ambiance. Gravy not overwhelming, creamy and buttery, with a hint of flour taste (means it's real). I also loved to see other patrons. Many are couples, older, and almost all the men have big BIG moustaches. Ha. Dinner and a show!

It's ok. Not great. Sort of overpriced for what you get. $9 for a stawberry waffle seems high. Stick to the specials and you'll be alright.

This is the type of fine dining that we never expected to find in this area! The server immediately pulled out my chair and placed my napkin in my lap. He was courteous and friendly the entire time. Let me tell you, it's not. It's a stalk-like-a-hawk situation where you literally hover behind the people you think are leaving, and if you're wrong and someone else is at those seats, the bartenders are going to let them have those seats, even if they showed up after you. A different couple who showed up after them even asked someone in the middle of eating to move seats so they could sit together because they weren't allowed to move the open seats next to each other. The arrangements were getting so messy that Danny (I think a barback?) was trying to create some organization, but the number of people showing up and waiting was too much for one person, so he apologized to us because he witnessed both groups (who arrived after my friend and I get seats), and we were still waiting for the initial person we thought was leaving to leave. After 15 mins of answering emails and holding the two seats on each side of them, a bartender asked them to move to the cocktail lounge, and they'd bring any future drink orders to them there. The seating situation was so bad, that the hostesses, idle staff members, my friend and I were talking crap about how disorganized the situation was and how aggressive the guests were. They mentioned that this arrangement just started about two weeks ago (now, three by the time I write this). After 30 mins of waiting to sit, I can tell you that this food isn't worth it. The drinks are good, the lobster bisque was incredible, but then, the final course, the steak we ordered was room temperature, had no flavor other than being over-salted, had a lot of fat, and was mediocre at best. Something you could make at home, and honestly, probably better. Lessons of coming here, come alone, be aggressive if there are open seats, and be ready to drink because multiple bartenders asked if we wanted more drinks through and after our meal. From what I can put together from conversations around us is that this is a place you come to if you have comps if you're a rewards member, or you're trying to impress your date before a show.

The menu has been updated and is set to be updated again soon for the seasonal offerings, brought to you by the outstanding kitchen of Chef Kyle. I did want to mention how good the food I had was, especially loved the Citrus Grilled Swordfish, which was exceptional in quality and taste. The freshness of the herbs mixed with brightness and tang of the acidity of the sauce really brings out the flavor in this delicious fish entree. However, it is soon to be replaced on the menu so hurry and grab a bite before it's gone!! The Bistro is also offering its sticky Korean BBQ pork ribs, which are mouthwatering and so tender the meat falls off the bone! As always, the service here is exceptional and cannot be matched. The entire staff is so warm and hospitable. So why not treat yourself and make a reservation and don't forget to tell them Ms. Ross sent you!

Who knew this little bistro/lounge at the Bear Springs Hotel in Highland, Ca. would have such a delicious menu? Oh, and they change the dining menu options ever so often. They also have a full bar menu for drinks as well. The vibe is upscale casual. There are two dinning areas at the hotel. One is the bistro (for more quiet dining) and directly across the hall is the lounge, where food and drink are also available. Great spot for a fun date night. On Friday and Saturday nights in the lounge, there is live music from 6-9pm. You can just order drinks and enjoy the music in the lounge, but you're gonna want to try the food too-it's yummy! The Bear Springs Hotel Bistro & Lounge is not just for hotel guests. It's a go to spot for locals, vacationers and those visiting the Yaamava Casino. Check it out.

Though seemed short staffed, the girl working the late shift was extremely friendly and sat me almost immediately. On business travel I searched prime rib in the area and this was the top hit with great reviews. Every other review raved about their prime rib. Unfortunately when I ordered the prime rib the girl informed me that they stopped serving and instead offered a Tbone which in her own words "was amazing". Against my better judgment I went ahead and ordered it. Unfortunately it fell short of expectations. Despite the promise of a succulent, tender cut, the reality disappoints. She brought me two thinly cut pieces of meat that were not t bine, she said they ran out but instead brought me what they had. The steak was a cheap cut that lacked the desired flavor profile, failing to deliver the anticipated quality one would hope for in a steakhouse. Nonetheless, the redeeming qualities were in the service. The prompt and courteous service adds a silver lining to the meal, while the restaurant's cleanliness and inviting atmosphere create a comfortable environment for guests. Although the the steak leaves much to be desired, the restaurant compensates with commendable service and a well-maintained space. With improvements in their food quality, this establishment has the potential to become a more well-rounded dining destination. Side thumb on this one. I would recommend this to a family on a budget.

My wife initially connected with Anna, who was phenomenal. I later met with her in person to place the deposit, and she was incredibly warm, accommodating, and welcoming. Before leaving, I decided to grab about 2 pounds of pork pastor for dinner, and asked if they could cook it for me. I was genuinely shocked in the best way at how affordable it was. The price for the meat plus the cooking fee came out to less than $10. When I got home and tried it, all I can say is wow. The pork was incredibly flavorful, tender, and absolutely delicious. The next day when I returned to pick up our large order, everything was ready right on time. The team went above and beyond by helping load everything into my car and even placing napkins underneath the trays to prevent any spills. That level of care really stood out. At church, everyone kept talking about how great the food was. The chicken and steak were both big hits, the beans were very good, and I was honestly surprised at how fresh and flavorful the guacamole was. All in all, this was a top-tier experience. Definitely a fun spot for a fancy cocktail--or, in my case, a mocktail. I ordered the Hibiscus Cooler and LOVED it. The food was more of a mixed bag. I ordered the Poblano Burger, and the deep-fried poblano was SO good. Unfortunately, I ordered the patty medium and it came out overcooked. The fries were also a little undercooked, and the burger could have used more sauce. Tasty overall, just not quite hitting the mark. Then came dessert... and this is where the experience really went downhill. I ordered the crème brûlée because I've had it elsewhere and had been craving it. While waiting, I stepped away to use the restroom. When I came back, my entire table--including my drinks--had been cleared. I had literally just ordered dessert and never indicated I was finished. The server seemed confused when I questioned it, which made the whole thing even more awkward. And unfortunately, the crème brûlée itself was also a miss. The sugar topping was torched too long and had a noticeably bitter, burnt flavor. The server (and possibly a manager) apologized, and I was given $2 off the drink, which I appreciated. Between the okay food and the especially strange service and lack of communication the experience left me disappointed. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight, but for me, the service experience was enough to say I probably won't be back anytime soon.
