    Eeks...second visit...so much is still wrong after a few months! Sat at the bar at 4:30ish on a Friday afternoon (only patron at the bar) and ordered the 'House Steak Tips'...asked for them Med Rare with rice and Veg as is described on the menu...what was served was what looked like beef stew with mashed no veg...asked the bartender for the missing veg and told her I'd stick with mashed even tho I ordered rice. The veg arrived when I was half done. These are NOT steak tips but closer to well done pot roast...made with Filet Mignon...what a waste of good meat! The menu has an asterisk that indicates they can be cooked to order...which obviously they can't. I spoke to the Manager after I paid the check and he said he reminded the bartender (before the meal was prepared) they can't be ordered MR...like that was all that was needed. Uhhhm...how about check with the customer to see if they were OK with well done Filet stew rather than MR grilled Steak tips? Clearly the bartender doesn't know the menu, and the order should have been questioned not only by the manager, but the cook, and eventually the customer. Fix the menu, train the staff, and make sure everyone knows the menu (I bartended for 5 years in a high paced restaurant where everyone needed to pass a menu and beverage test before they faced a single customer) Score should be lower but I don't want to kick them when they're obviously down...

    Well where do you start? First read the earlier reviews and take note. First and foremost it's a nice restaurant and the interior layout is done well. Our waitress/hostess when we arrived was very nice and personable. She was also the bartender and her drinks were done well. It all kind of falls apart after that, as we ordered two appetizers ( French onion soup which was good and clam chowder which was fair). Two house salads with house dressing which were nothing special. So here's the kicker as we just started on our salad and soups here comes our main course. The server apologetic takes them back to the kitchen (which we knew means we'll get the same meals back just reheated). We assume the manager delivered the meal and assured us it wasn't just reheated. We were correct here comes the meal over heated plates and cold or lukewarm food. The server brought out one new dish which was hotter but overdone and bland. All the meals were fair nothing spectacular and mostly unfinished and no leftover taken home just half eaten plates sent back. To her credit the server removed the one meal from the bill. All the while again the manager or owner we presume was back and forth (especially as we were seated 10 feet from the hostess stand) and not once stopped of checked in. Believe the reviews this place could begin to shine but right now you're at a 50/50 shot with the food. One more pet peeve when the staff congregates out front near the table and hang out taking loudly and oblivious to the patrons around them that's a huge negative in my opinion.

    There with a large party for Happy Hour in the bar. Manager Jeremy was friendly and accommodating. Nicole was a wonderful server, quick and thorough. Food was excellent, my group ordered drinks, appetizers and some of us full meals. The filet was delicious. I hope to return soon and enjoy another lovely meal!

    First I would like to say it still looks like Applebees from the furniture to the glasses. They have tables but insisted on putting us at a high top in the bar. We had asked about moving but were made to feel guilty as it would be in another server's section. Salad wasn't much but ok. My daughter got the French onion soup which was very bland , as were the southwest egg rolls. My filet was fine but the strip steaks that my husband had were like Waffle House steaks, extremely thin so overcooked. Mind you they were the same price as my Filet.

    BBQ bacon burger.  Very good.

    Food & service both excellent. I hope they plan to change the "Old Applebee's" decor though. Truly doesn't present well.

    Stopped in for drinks. Out of Budweiser. Charge 3% if paying by credit. The remodel from Applebees but the bar still looks the same.

We were there the night they reopened after Hurricane Milton, as it seems were half Lakewood Ranch! It's an understatement to say they were slammed! They were doing the best they could given the circumstances. Yet there was a table close to us that found fault. Give it a friggin rest people! Everyone is entitled to have an "off day", especially after a Cat 4 hurricane rips through your area! Inner Compass didn't have to reopen as quickly as they did. But they did anyway because they were serving a real need. If people don't see that, then that's on them! I've never had a bad meal there. Yes, occasionally service is slow or less attentive but if you look at the wider picture of what's happening in the moment, there's a real, legitimate reason. People, don't just get stuck in your own bubble and actually take time to observe what's going on around you! In the meantime, I plan to go to Inner Compass as often as I can for my ICB Beer Cheese Burgers and Hazy Boys!

Our server said they would get it out quickly and explained that they were busy. However, looking around the dining room, there were only a handful of occupied tables and two servers working. Several nearby tables were simply having drinks, so it was difficult to understand the delay. What was most disappointing wasn't even the cold food--it was the lack of acknowledgment. A simple apology or some communication about the delay would have gone a long way toward improving the experience. I understand that servers aren't responsible for cooking the food, but they do pass the service window regularly. If food has been sitting under the heat lamps for several minutes waiting on other items, someone should be checking on it or having it remade before it reaches the customer. We were hoping to add this restaurant to our list of regular dining spots, but based on this visit, it unfortunately didn't make the cut.

One of my favorite flavors is the PB&J wings, but this batch was extremely spicy--far spicier than I've ever had before. Since I'm a regular customer, I know how they're supposed to taste. I brought that portion of the order back to the restaurant. The hostess told me, "They're always that spicy." I respectfully disagreed because I've ordered that flavor many times. She then said to just keep the wings because, once food leaves the restaurant, they can't serve it again, which I completely understand. I come from a family that owned three restaurants, so I'm familiar with food safety policies. What really disappointed me was the interaction with the general manager. He came over, asked for the wings back, and then said, "I thought you didn't like them." It wasn't necessarily what he said--it was the sarcastic tone and attitude behind the comment. Customer service is about making customers feel heard and respected, not dismissed or mocked. Yes, they remade the wings in another flavor, and I appreciate that. However, this review isn't about the wings--it's about the principle of how customers are treated. Sadly, this isn't my first negative experience at this location. On my very first visit, I was seated and waited over 20 minutes without anyone even coming to take a drink order. I quietly got up, left, and drove to another Food + Beer location, where I had a great experience. This particular location consistently falls short compared to the others. The customer service simply doesn't reflect the level of hospitality customers should receive. Businesses like Chick-fil-A and Publix have built loyal customers because they understand that service matters just as much as the product. I'll be contacting corporate to share my experience, and I'll also be leaving reviews on other platforms. My money spends just like everyone else's, and as a loyal customer, I expect to be treated with respect. I genuinely hope management takes this feedback seriously because this location has the potential to be much better. Do better.

We were greeted immediately upon arriving and sat right away. Our server, Justin, arrived at our table immediately. He was very friendly, professional and sincere. And with OUT being annoying, was vigilant in getting our drink orders and then our food decisions. We chose the chicken fingers & fries app, 2 burgers and a Cobb salad. Justin then asked if we wanted all the food together or he'll wait 3 minutes after our chicken finger app. We chose for him to order our entrees after the app was delivered. LITERALLY, LITERALLY 30 seconds after he walked away from our table, our chicken finger appetizer was delivered. WAYYYYYY to quickly we all thought, and we were right. Both the chicken fingers and fries were BARELY warm! They basically just sent us out an order that was very obviously sitting under the warmer TOO LONG! Shame on them for 'selling' dead food. Justin came by and apologized and took the plate. After a few minutes, the plate came out again, NOT hot but warmer/hotter than the first one. Our entrees were delivered about 5 minutes later. The burgers were cooked perfectly to what we asked for and the salad was cold. Now the sides we ordered with our burgers: Sweet potato fries, NOT hot and crunchy and served with pieces of their fried Brussel sprouts on the bottom. The other burger had Onion Ring as a side. WARM, NOT HOT, soft not crunchy, and just overall nasty. We were hungry and I did not complain when Justin checked back with us. Overall, the problem was anything fried. So whoever worked the 'inside' and 'outside' kitchen windows obviously were just grabbing anything that they needed to 'sell'. Bathrooms were clean but this was the first time that I had bad food. I personally feel that this was a completely avoidable situation...and I blame kitchen staff for not taking the time to serve their normally very good food. There are soooooo many other restaurants now in the area, they can't afford to take short cuts with their food!
