These are the puniest blue points I've ever seen, not to mention the worst shucked.

How have I not reviewed Perry's? For all these years, I've been going to Perry's, especially on Fridays for their pork chop special. Yes, since it was $17. I think it's a little more now, but it doesn't matter. It's so worth it. Firstly, their sourdough that comes out warm and fluffy with whipped butter is a danger to both your glucose levels and appetite. It's so good that I have to fight the urge to get more - and they'll give you more, so you really have to exercise self-control here. You're then served the three-part pork chop with a side of mashed potatoes. The pork is juicy with a touch of sweetness, especially when you dunk it in applesauce like I do. It's done so well (a perfect medium well) every time and is one of my favorite dishes in town. The pictures are clearly of other items like oysters and escargot (but from 9 yrs ago). I haven't been in a few months, but I am and will continue to be a repeat visitor. Ta ta 'til next time.

I was exited to be invited to a birthday celebration at Perry's. I started one of the specialty old fashioned drinks, very good! Next, enjoyed the caesar salad which is a little different, kinda spicy, from a traditional one. The Brussel sprouts were tasty along with other grilled veggies. The salmon was ok, not exciting though. The service for our large party was great, good timing and nice personalities. The ambiance was dark and moody, nice music. Overall a nice visit, I do recommend Perry's and will return.

My husband and I love going to steakhouses, our favorite in Houston is V&A BUT Perry's we feel like is the most consistent and doesn't break the bank! We LOVE their wine flight during the month of February. Our go to meal is to always split the fried asparagus (nothing like it it's SO good), salad and an 8oz filet Perry! If we're extra hungry we may get a lobster bisque or a side or maybe a dessert but more times than not we usually don't. Their service is always attentive and the waiters are always so kind. The ambiance is white table cloth but I will say depending on the time and day people show up in nicer outfits or dressed down.

Always enjoy the food and service here, I've mostly stuck with their famous seven-finger-high pork chop, which never disappoints.. (love the caramelization juicy/tenderness of the cut, and the applesauce pairing is always A1) This time around I did get a chance to try out some sides like their asparagus and desserts as part of a special menu There's an bar and main dining room with private rooms available as well (we dined in one of those this time) Service was attentive in our private room and dinner service went very smoothly. The atmosphere is professional with a dimmer lighting and a solid place for a quick business lunch or dinner Valet parking available but also shared mall parking and spots in the back. Definitely need to come back to try their steak!

The food here is incredible! Such unique and delicious flavors!! The food is 10/10 but service is only mediocre. Ambiance: The restaurant has dimmer mood lighting. There are various types of seating (high tops, tables/chairs, bar). The service is decent but she didn't come over that often as she did to her other table. There was fresh bread that came to the table. It was nice and warm and the buttery was whipped and so delicious. Perry Berry Mule: This drink had a nice berry profile to it. I loved the ginger ale in it as it masked the alcohol flavor and added a nice bubble. The drink was delicious and I highly recommend. Filet mignon: The steak has such a nice flavor profile and it was cooked perfectly. It was a great portion and extremely tender and juicy. Corn Brûlée: This was surprisingly sooooo good! The corn and top sugar crust added a little sweetness. It was really cheesy and had a slight jalapeño kick to it. I was actually so surprised about how good this dish tasted. It was mot overly sweet as I imagined it was more savory!

Sliced Filet Sliders 79*

Needed to buy sometime while my charms were being put on my bracelet at the mall...so I bribed my hubby by suggesting we go to the bar to wait. It was a Sunday, they didn't open until 4pm, but we were able to wait inside for a few mins and not in the heat. This place is always clean and inviting. We sat at the bar and were quickly greeted by our bartender and given a drink menu. I chose the flight with Champagne/Chardonnay/Rose & he opted for a dirty martini. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms, but after seeing the sliders, we ordered those as well. Sliders are a must if you love garlic, onions and mushrooms as much as we do. They are prepared with sliced beef, melted cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms on a toasted bun. To top it off, they come with a side of crispy, garlicky onions. These were definitely our best bite with a side of ranch and ketchup. Ladies you can drop off your husband at the bar when you don't want to feel rushed while you're shopping at the mall. Enter freely, they've been approved

The Steak!!!

Yea, so I thought I was coming here to try the pork chops everyone raves about, however, when I walked in. . .I smelled steak! So, I got the steak and LET ME TELL YYYOOOUUUUU!!! That thing was so amazingly good!! Not only was it really good, it was seasoned to perfection!!!!! I decided to get the Prime Ribeye and I am so glad that I did. My daughter loves steak and I cannot wait to bring her back! I visited on a Friday afternoon. . .valet was $6 but you can park elsewhere. There is a parking garage fairly close. I sat at the bar because the waiting line was pretty stacked. The service at the bar was friendly and since it was my first time at this location they were patient and kinda walked me through the menu. I had a glass of J. Lohr, my steak and their bread is top tier. . .so was my Caesar salad (minus the anchovies :) The vibes were immaculate and I'm pretty sure I'll be back soon.

Lunch Pork Chop, whipped potatoes and applesauce! Perfection!

What's not to love about the Lunch Pork Chop at Perry's? The value is just incredible, and it's one of the most delicious things you will ever eat! If you've never tried it, you must! Everything else on the menu is so delicious. This place is a favorite of ours. You seriously can't go wrong with anything here. If you've never had their warm bacon dressing on a salad, you are missing out! It is so incredible! From the best service, to the beautiful and classy dining room, it's 5 stars all around from me!

Had a really nice time here. My husband had indicated we were celebrating our anniversary on the reservation and they set the table with rose petals which was very nice. Really good ambiance, good customer service, and the food was good. Would definitely like to return.

Perry Perry's Pork Chop Friday Lunch Special and Salmon

Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Houston The pork chop was truly the best I've ever had--absolutely outstanding. The flavor, tenderness, and presentation were all top-tier. Our server, Jaye, made the experience even better. He was professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. As someone visiting from out of town, this was hands down one of the best experiences I've had in Houston--1000/10, highly recommend.

Went to Perry's last week for a work celebration. It was pretty early 5-6 pm so we were one of the first guests for dinner. The host staff was very welcoming and the dark lighting and decor added a touch of class. We started with Tuna Tar Tar, Spinach Dip and Brussels sprouts all good besides the Spinach dip was just normal, not bad or anything. The Tar Tar was very flavorful, I had never had Tuna Tar Tar but always enjoyed ahi/tuna. Three of us ordered cuts of beef, myself the filet, another got a filet as well and another got the Tomahawk which was well presented. Everyone enjoyed their steaks, I specially like the char on the crust and the saltiness. The other dish was some chicken, I can't recall but she liked it. The au gratin potatoes were cheesy and a good table share, definitely get some of those. Overall pretty good I'd say 7.2/10. I want to add the waiter was very attentive and hospitable, we made jokes with each other and he kept it professional but enjoyable, can't recall name maybe Alejandro? Wish I would have took better pictures but was busy with socializing.

Signature Steakhouse Smorgasbord for Four
Mary W.

Our Ladies Bible Study leaders were celebrating completion of this year's study and had a wonderful experience. Lexi, our server, showed fabulous hospitality by making helpful menu suggestions and making sure everyone enjoyed their food. We had one person in our party with a shellfish allergy and Ed gave a comprehensive explanation of how the kitchen would take care to avoid cross contamination. We chose the Smorgasbord to share among us. Everything was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The lamb chops, steak and crab cakes were particular standouts. Among the sides, the Brussels Sprouts were excellent. Then to top it all off, we had one bread pudding with a giant roasted marshmallow on top--so very good! Perry's really made our celebration special and memorable.

Perry's Pork Chop Friday Lunch Special
Jenny L.

I always look forward to Fridays at Perry's! I split the pork chop special between 2 people and the portion size is perfect. The meal comes with fresh bread and butter. The apple sauce very nicely complemented the creamy mash and pork. Usually pork I get is dry, but this was cooked well with a great caramelized exterior from the glaze. We got to the restaurant at 12:30 and waited around 15-20 min when the expected wait time was 30-40 min, so I'd stick around in the lobby if you're told a longer wait time in case a table opens up. Would recommend getting there early for parking and a shorter wait time, but it's worth it!

Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16. They were tasty. I like Rouxpour and would return. My only negative is that their prices are a little on the high side in my opinion.

That was the right call. The campechana was the highlight. Fresh, layered, and well balanced. It felt like a grounded ceviche with depth, not just acidity. Plenty of avocado, clean seafood, good heat, and bright citrus. I would order it again without hesitation. The mesquite grilled oysters carried a nice smokiness while still letting the brine come through. The seared tuna was clean, properly cooked, and texturally on point. Service was excellent. I felt welcomed immediately, checked on consistently, and still given space to finish a couple of work calls at the bar. That balance matters when you're traveling. Nothing here felt overcomplicated. It's familiar coastal seafood, executed confidently and well. Not a destination meal I would fly for, but absolutely a place I will return to anytime I'm in Katy. Strong four star experience.

Both our server and the manager made sure we were taken care of promptly and courteously, which was great since we were celebrating two birthdays among the four of us. The ambience of the location was interesting with kind of a mid-century diner feel, but very clean. Overall, the food was underwhelming. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were pleasantly non‑greasy but lacked seasoning, leaving them rather bland. One of the birthday guests ordered the mesquite‑grilled salmon, cooked perfectly to their preference. The other birthday guest had the fried seafood platter, which unfortunately suffered from the same lack of seasoning as the tomatoes. The mesquite‑grilled red snapper was overcooked and a bit dry, and the jumbo lump crab cake tasted overly bready. The highlight of the evening was the crab gumbo, which had balanced seasoning and stood out as the most flavorful dish of the night. Overall, we really wish the food had lived up to the prices and the service.
