Relying on prior positive reviews, I booked a reservation at this "fine dining/no children allowed" restaurant for our vacation at the Gulf. Even one month in advance, we could only secure a 5:15 reservation. We hit traffic on the way and arrived 20 minutes late to find our reservation had been cancelled and our credit card charged $100 as a cancellation fee. The Hostess reluctantly agreed to seat us once our table became available. We sat in the bar for the next hour without a word on our table. Having never heard again from the hostess and incurring a $140 bar tab, my husband went to to get an update. The Hostess informed him we would not be seated for dinner at all. She suggested we leave. After demanding to see the manager, the Hostess returned to our bar table and cynically offered to seat us if we agreed leave by 8:15. Once the manager showed up and apologized for her staff's rudeness, discounted our bar tab 30%, she escorted us to a patio table outside the dining room. Dining room tables are exclusively for reservations. Our table was one of 12 empty tables. Service was excellent and the food was very good. When we left, we noted that the restaurant never reached capacity and the table in the dining room overlooking the Gulf was never seated. Fine dining is all about the experience. Good service is required. Good food is required. But it is not enough. You want to feel appreciated. At Pescado, we weren't even made to feel welcome. read more

Amazing views, food, cocktails, and service. We drove from Ft. Walton and it was 110% worth the 60 minute drive. The steak tartare is one point and highly recommend in addition to the cheese cake. read more

Best restaurant in the area without question. The atmosphere itself is worth a visit. But the view, food, and service are what will keep us coming back. We had the lobster and steak sharable with a few apps and sides our first visit to get a feel for the menu and we were blown away. One of our party members said it was the best meal of his life. Best view by a longshot! Wow! Stopped by around 4:45 to watch sunset and grab a bite. They were busy, no reservations avail, which was even better because we sat outside. I would highly recommend stopping by for drinks and a quick appetizer, but the food was over priced they're not ready for all the people that are there. We were with a big group... ordered the family style lobster lasagna, then got side dishes of Jalapeno Mashed potatoes, asparagus, crispy cauliflower . All good. It's packed... and feels "uptight"with servers. The wonderful thing about the panhandle, people are charming and can make or break your place. Last night we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at Pescado 30A. We were made to feel so special with unsurpassed attention to detail, from the entrance through dessert. Pescado 30A hits the notes every night but we do have favorite things; an Endless Summer, BY.OTT Rose, Boston Bibb, Moroccan-Spiced Lollipop Lamb Chops, Skillet Roasted Ahi Tuna, Grilled Asparagus, and Cheesecake with Sugared Macadamias. Next time B.A.N.A.N.A.S., Roasted Cauliflower and Beef Tenderloin Benedict. Visit Slayde, Tatiana and Chase at the bar, and ask for Sarah, they'll make you want to go again too! read more

Had dinner for the second time on Saturday. I can't say enough about the Food, View, and Staff. Outstanding!! I've had several things on the menu and all were fabulous, I can't even pick a favorite, but my top choice for entree is probably the Grilled Spinalis, and the Seafood Salad from the raw bar ranks up there as well. Disappointing that poor service overshadowed a decent meal. My fiancé and I decided to share a main course entree as it was encouraged (ordered off section of menu entitled "shareable plates). We ordered a lobster and asked them to "de-shell" the entree. They proceeded to charge us $150 for one lobster! The waitress didn't tell us the cost when ordering, as it was listed as "market price." My fault for assuming it would be, at most, $80, as New York's priciest restaurants don't charge more than that. When I inquired about the $150 when the bill came, our waitress simply replied, "You didn't ask, so it's $150." Also, they brought noodles as a garnish (as we didn't order them) and they charged us $10 for those too! Our bad for not asking the MP but most waitstaff would make you aware of a $150 entree! Pescado was my favorite restaurant that we ate at on our trip to Rosemary. The overall vibe of the space is great. The manager (I lost his card but I think his name was chad) was extremely helpful in finding us a table. The shrimp pasta was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. My husband got the snapper which was also excellent, but the shrimp pasta is the winner hands down. Also has a great wine selection. Will be back. read more

Will not return. We were told we had a reservation on the deck to see the sunset but when we arrive they put us in a corner with no view of the water. Hostess was rude. This is the worst service ever. I'd like to tell you how the food was but after telling us it was an hour wait and sitting at the bar, they claimed that it would be another 2 hours. But when multiple parties said we were all told an hour they rudely claimed they could seat whoever they wanted whenever they wanted. We asked to see the manager and refused. Asked for a drink and refused. Owner stood by the whole time and ignored my requests and said he just wanted to see how it would play out. Played out by us leaving and writing this review. We had an incredible experience at Pescado this evening! The food, service, and outdoor rooftop was amazing. Our server Alex added a great personal touch to our experience. I was so looking forward to this restaurant opening. We finally came down to Rosemary and was able to get a reservation. We were so disappointed. Not only was the food or the menu not very good (or well seasoned) our waiter forgot to bring us our vegetables and never came back to check on us. We were so hungry that we actually ordered a pizza from Cowgirl Kitchen downstairs to pick up on our way home. When the waiter gave us the bill we said you never brought our vegetables he just said oh ya guess I forgot no explanation or any apology. This place is not worth the hype. For being open for 3 months, they already have a "big head" about their "view" which is nothing to write home about. Our experiences at Pescado truly took our recent Rosemary Beach vacation to a new level. We were able to make a reservation for our first night and enjoyed the experience so much, we came back twice more before our vacation ended! We enjoyed the service of Daruk and Chad -- top notch gentlemen and experts in the menu options. They went above and beyond on each of our visits to ensure we had the best experience possible. The atmosphere is great being one of the tallest spots in Rosemary. The bar and outdoor seating may be the ideal. Some of the dishes were great and others just good. The prices reflect great food. The acoustics on the interior were terrible making it difficult to have conversations without yelling (adding to the problem). read more

I would give it many more stars if I could! The only thing better than the atmosphere and view is the food, specifically the steak tar tar and lobster tails. Don't walk, run to Pescado. To be fair, the staff is outstanding, the view is outstanding, the bar is outstanding, the food though, for the third time, is marginal at best. For the price there are 20 better options on 30a. The menu is really ambitious, they need to focus on quality, not creativity. read more
